北京英語水平考試(BETS)由北京市民講外語活動(dòng)組委會(huì)、北京市人民政府外事辦公室與英國劍橋大學(xué)考試委員會(huì)ESOL考試部共同推出，由北京教育考試院承辦。借鑒了MSE考試的題型與考試方式。北京英語水平考試由低到高共分一級(jí)（BETS-1）、二級(jí)（BETS-2）、三級(jí)（BETS-3）三個(gè)級(jí)別。從今年起，BETS考試開始使用國際通用卷。
一．BETS或MSE（KET，PET）過渡班學(xué)什么？
在過渡班中，我們汲取了《劍橋中學(xué)生英語》，《展望未來》，《北京英語水平考試教程》等教材的優(yōu)點(diǎn)，由資深的教師根據(jù)多年經(jīng)驗(yàn)編寫了一套適合小學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的講義。內(nèi)容包括聽，說，讀，寫，語法五個(gè)部分，使學(xué)生夯實(shí)語法基礎(chǔ)，輕松應(yīng)對考試。
二．什么樣的學(xué)員可以報(bào)考BET1或MSE（KET，PET）過渡班？
1.新概念一冊學(xué)到96課，可以上KET或BETS1的過渡班。新概念二冊學(xué)到50課左右可以參加PET或BETS2的過渡班。
2.沒有學(xué)過新概念的學(xué)員可以從英語網(wǎng)下載試題來確定孩子的級(jí)別。

f 寫作：寫一篇35----45字的文章
三．學(xué)完BETS或MSE（KET，PET）過渡班什么時(shí)候參加考試？
A學(xué)員在暑期學(xué)完BETS過渡班后，秋季有對應(yīng)的考前沖刺班，然后可以報(bào)名參加11月或12月份（具體時(shí)間依據(jù)北京教育考試院的通知為準(zhǔn)）的BETS考試。
B學(xué)員在暑期學(xué)完KET，PET過渡班后，經(jīng)過秋季的考前沖刺訓(xùn)練，可以報(bào)考11月份的KET，PET考試，（學(xué)而思是教育考試院指定的劍橋五級(jí)培訓(xùn)及報(bào)考機(jī)構(gòu)）
四．學(xué)而思BETS考試或MSE（KET，PET）的通過率和優(yōu)秀率如何？
學(xué)而思的BETS1級(jí)通過率為92%，優(yōu)秀率為54%。BETS2級(jí)的通過率為66%，優(yōu)秀率為37%。
五．考完BETS或MSE（KET，PET）可以獲得什么樣的證書？
1.考完BETS并通過后可以獲得兩張證書，一張是由北京市民講外語活動(dòng)組委會(huì)、北京市人民政府外事辦公室和北京教``````````````````育考試院共同頒發(fā)的北京英語水平考試等級(jí)證書；另外一張是由全球著名教育測試機(jī)構(gòu)英國劍橋大學(xué)考試委員會(huì)外語考試部頒發(fā)的國際通用英語系列考試證書-------KET，PET證書。
2.考完KET，PET并通過后，可以獲得由英國劍橋考試委員會(huì)頒發(fā)的劍橋通用五級(jí)KET，PET證書，該證書終身有效。
六．我的孩子到底適合上KET(PET)還是適合上BETS的過渡班呢？
從今年起B(yǎng)ETS考試開始使用國際通用卷，所以BETS與MSE的差別就更加微不足道了。
今年暑期，學(xué)而思為了給家長更多選擇，特別推出了KET+BETS1過渡班，PET+BETS2過渡班，學(xué)員可以上一個(gè)過渡班同時(shí)考BETS和MSE。
七．學(xué)而思的MSE和BETS課程的特色是什么？
在考前，學(xué)而思會(huì)開設(shè)相應(yīng)的沖刺班及專項(xiàng)班，使同學(xué)們在最短的時(shí)間內(nèi)考出理想的成績。

有數(shù)據(jù)顯示近來自殺已成為我國人群第五位死因。越來越多的自殺者提醒我們不得不慢下腳步靜心思考一下這個(gè)嚴(yán)肅的問題：人類物質(zhì)文明的發(fā)展與靈魂的發(fā)展是否仍在同一軌道上并行？為什么社會(huì)安定了、生活富足了人們卻紛紛都不要命了？
我認(rèn)為是脆弱，是精神文明發(fā)展與物質(zhì)文明發(fā)展的脫節(jié)所造成的。一心只想著賺錢的現(xiàn)代人心靈脆弱得經(jīng)不起一丁點(diǎn)挫折，社會(huì)物質(zhì)財(cái)富逐漸豐裕的背景下，對于人們獲取財(cái)富的能力要求就越來越高，而這種能力與財(cái)富基礎(chǔ)息息相關(guān)，因此就必然地造成了貧富分化的加劇。而自殺率最高的人群就集中在社會(huì)地位、經(jīng)濟(jì)、文化三方面水平最高和最低的部分。三者俱高的自殺者很多，例如娛樂明星自殺事件就屢見不鮮，例如多年前的俏黃蓉“翁美玲”、張國榮、韓星崔真實(shí)、鄭多彬等等等等。這些人在個(gè)人的領(lǐng)域某一程度上已達(dá)到了頂點(diǎn)，展示出的是無限的風(fēng)華，背后的內(nèi)心世界卻是極其孤獨(dú)的。當(dāng)他們處在精神的困境時(shí)，習(xí)慣了獨(dú)自吞咽所有痛苦，并不向他人傾訴或求助，這就注定了他們將一步步走向絕境。

個(gè)文人，要多多了?！蔽覀兊贸姓J(rèn)，生活中確有讓人生不如死的狀況，比如文革時(shí)文人的處境，比如醫(yī)學(xué)對許多疾病的無奈，又比如財(cái)富分配不均的社會(huì)現(xiàn)狀，但我們得正視這些狀況，文革被結(jié)束了、被批判了；醫(yī)學(xué)科技正有無數(shù)人在夜以繼日的研究著；社會(huì)保障體系也在雖然緩慢但也畢竟開始了的進(jìn)行著，我們不能只要求客觀環(huán)境改變而我們自身還是那么脆弱那么無知那么不完美，時(shí)代在不由分說地前進(jìn)，如果你只愿停留，那么自殺便是你的錯(cuò)，怨不得別人了。曾有位自殺者在死之前留下這樣一句話：這個(gè)世界不符合我的夢想。事實(shí)上，這個(gè)世界不符合大多數(shù)人的夢想，然而我們都活著，像他一樣的人卻都死了。因?yàn)槲覀兌茫淳蛢A盡一生地去實(shí)現(xiàn)夢想，哪怕不能實(shí)現(xiàn)也死而無憾，要么就把夢想與生活分開來，一面認(rèn)真地生活，一面將夢想寄望于未來或別處，就如同祝愿分手的戀人在別時(shí)別處找到幸福一樣，雖有小小的遺憾，但決不會(huì)輕生。
