非親屬，可譯為 Non-relative，或者用形容詞 Non-relationa l 所謂“親屬（relative）”，既可能是“血親（法律術語 consang uinity）”，也可能是“姻親（法律術語 affinity）”。兩者可以統(tǒng)稱 relative，對應的形容詞是 relational。其他還有一些非正式的用語，如 kinfolk、kinsfolk、kindred 等，一般不作為法律術語使用，而且其意義都偏向于 “血親”，或者有 “宗 親”、“氏族”等含義，不要亂用。Descent 雖然也是正式的法律術語，但其意義是“（以血緣關系 為紐帶的）宗族、血統(tǒng)、門第、世襲”。這里也不適用。3 ．戶主與戶內(nèi)成員的姓名 用英文填寫后，再用漢字重復一遍，因為漢語名稱是法定名稱。比如，要向簽證官證明，Zhang San 就是張三。4 ．派出所 Police station ；公安分局 Public Security Sub-Burea u（市轄區(qū)級）；公安局 Public Security Bureau（地、市、縣級）； 公安廳 Public Security Department（省級）5 ．戶主或與戶主關系 如果是戶主本人，就填 Householder himself 或 Householder hers elf。與戶主關系： 純正的英語是 relation to。不用 relation with，那是 漢語式英語。如果是戶主的父母、配偶、兒女、兄弟、姐妹，直接填 Father / Mother / Husband / Wife / Son / Daughter / Brother / Sister 即可，不需要加 Householder's / His / Her，也不需要加 elder / younger 來 區(qū)分兄 / 弟或姐 / 妹。長子 / 女、次子 / 女之類，不需要加 first, second 之類的序數(shù)詞，因為具體欄目里已經(jīng)有出生日期，年齡大小、排輩自然就比較出來了。西方人不像中國人那么強調(diào)家庭中的輩分和大小尊卑。需要注意的是，兒媳、女婿不可用 Son-in-law / Daughter-in-law，易引起歧義（多數(shù)情況下指“養(yǎng)子女”或“繼子女”），應當用 Son 's wife / Daughter's husband。6 ．民族，民族成分： Ethnicity 或 Ethnic group 千萬、千萬注意！決不可譯為 nationality！那是“國籍”的意思！正確的譯法是 ethnicity 或 ethnic group！

11．婚姻狀況：Marital status 譯為marriage status是不對的。中國戶口簿上的選項一般是“有配偶”、“未婚”、“離異”和“喪偶”等。而英美國家的“婚姻狀況”分得很細，根據(jù)申請人的不同情況選擇： Single單身 / Never married未婚 / Engaged已訂婚 / Married已婚 / Separated分居 / Divorced離異 / Widowed喪偶 / De facto事實婚姻)
其中，Single（單身）是籠統(tǒng)的說法，包括了Never married（未婚）、Divorced（離異）、Widowed（喪偶、鰥居、寡居）等情況。根據(jù)自己的實際情況選擇。
12．兵役狀況：Military service status 如果未服役，就填Nil或干脆空著。
13．服務處所：Employer。直接譯為employer即可。不要按照漢語硬翻成 Service Place。
14．職業(yè)：Occupation 看到國內(nèi)戶口簿“職業(yè)”這一欄，填寫的內(nèi)容實際都是“職務”。下面是主要職務名稱的譯法： Director of Board董事長 / Board Member 董事 / President 總裁 / Chief Executive Officer 首席執(zhí)行官 / Self-employed 個體戶 / 自雇傭 / 自由職業(yè)者 Governor（銀行）行長 / General Manager 總經(jīng)理 / Manager 經(jīng)理 / Director General of Department 廳（司/局）長 / Director of Division 處長 / Section Chief 科長 / Staff member 科員 / Clerk 辦事員（職員）/ Farmer 農(nóng)民（有自家土地的自耕戶）/ Farm worker 農(nóng)民（耕種集體所有土地的）Retired 退休

11．婚姻狀況：Marital status 譯為marriage status是不對的。中國戶口簿上的選項一般是“有配偶”、“未婚”、“離異”和“喪偶”等。而英美國家的“婚姻狀況”分得很細，根據(jù)申請人的不同情況選擇： Single單身 / Never married未婚 / Engaged已訂婚 / Married已婚 / Separated分居 / Divorced離異 / Widowed喪偶 / De facto事實婚姻)
其中，Single（單身）是籠統(tǒng)的說法，包括了Never married（未婚）、Divorced（離異）、Widowed（喪偶、鰥居、寡居）等情況。根據(jù)自己的實際情況選擇。
12．兵役狀況：Military service status 如果未服役，就填Nil或干脆空著。
13．服務處所：Employer。直接譯為employer即可。不要按照漢語硬翻成 Service Place。
