《英語(yǔ)課程標(biāo)準(zhǔn)》指出:“基礎(chǔ)教育階段英語(yǔ)課程的任務(wù)是激發(fā)和培養(yǎng)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的興趣,使學(xué)生掌握一定的英語(yǔ)基礎(chǔ)知識(shí)和聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫技能,形成一定的綜合語(yǔ)言運(yùn)用能力?!毙W(xué)是英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的啟蒙階段,它關(guān)系著整個(gè)學(xué)習(xí)階段的學(xué)習(xí)質(zhì)量,而學(xué)好語(yǔ)音是英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)入門的關(guān)鍵,是培養(yǎng)學(xué)生進(jìn)行“聽(tīng)說(shuō)讀寫”四會(huì)能力的基礎(chǔ)。因此,如何教好音標(biāo)已成為我們小學(xué)英語(yǔ)教師亟需探索的問(wèn)題。下面是本人在這方面的做法。
一、提前音標(biāo)教學(xué),因事制宜
對(duì)于小學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō),英語(yǔ)是一門陌生的學(xué)科,英語(yǔ)中的不少發(fā)音與漢語(yǔ)相差甚遠(yuǎn)。在初學(xué)英語(yǔ)時(shí),常有學(xué)生用漢語(yǔ)拼音或漢字給單詞“注音”,如單詞“pen”學(xué)生注上“碰”,“bus”學(xué)生注上“巴斯”等等,結(jié)果導(dǎo)致學(xué)生往往將及其簡(jiǎn)單的音發(fā)錯(cuò),造成發(fā)音不準(zhǔn),如果說(shuō)漢語(yǔ)拼音是學(xué)生認(rèn)識(shí)漢字的拐杖,那么學(xué)好音標(biāo)不就是通往英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)成功之路的一座橋梁?jiǎn)??有鑒于此,在五年級(jí)學(xué)生剛學(xué)了二十六個(gè)英文字母后,我就對(duì)他們進(jìn)行了為期一周的音標(biāo)教學(xué)。首先是48個(gè)音素的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)發(fā)音,為了便于學(xué)生記憶和掌握,我摒棄了原始的枯燥乏味的“填鴨式”教學(xué),教學(xué)生用“掐頭法”、“去尾法”、“對(duì)比法”、“兒歌記憶法”等,使學(xué)生避免了死記硬背,學(xué)起來(lái)輕松、有趣,只用很短的時(shí)間就把音標(biāo)記住了,效果更佳。如“掐頭法”即將部分輔音字母的名稱音中的第一個(gè)音去掉,余下的音即為該字母在單詞中的讀音,例:Ff[ef]→[e][f]去[e]余[f];Ss[es] →[e][s]去[e]余[s]等。“去尾法”即將部分輔音字母名稱音中后面的音去掉,余下的音即為該字母在單詞中的讀音,例Bb[bi:] →[b][i:]去[i:]余[b];Vv[vi:] →[v][i:]去[i:]余[v]等等。教輔音[g]、1 [h]、[j]、[w]、[r]時(shí)可將其與漢語(yǔ)拼音g、h、j、w、r的發(fā)音進(jìn)行對(duì)比,加以記憶。學(xué)完48個(gè)音素,我對(duì)五個(gè)元音字母Aa、Ee、Ii、Oo、Uu在重讀開(kāi)、閉音節(jié),非重讀音節(jié)中的發(fā)音規(guī)律及一些字母組合的發(fā)音等,做了講解和歸納,學(xué)生通過(guò)這樣相對(duì)集中的學(xué)習(xí),為以后學(xué)習(xí)單詞打下了堅(jiān)實(shí)的基礎(chǔ)。
二、指導(dǎo)正確拼讀,因勢(shì)利導(dǎo)
在音標(biāo)學(xué)習(xí)初期,往往有學(xué)生對(duì)音標(biāo)的拼讀不得法,尤其是含三個(gè)以上音素的音標(biāo)。于是我引導(dǎo)學(xué)生像拼漢語(yǔ)拼音一樣試拼音標(biāo),并采用比較練習(xí)的方法反復(fù)訓(xùn)練,如[?k],[k?],[a:m],[ma:]。通過(guò)練習(xí)學(xué)生逐漸掌握了方法,會(huì)拼讀較復(fù)雜的音標(biāo)了。對(duì)于三個(gè)以上音素的音標(biāo),我采用拼湊法拼讀,如[m?p],先拼[m-?],然后在這個(gè)合成音后面在加上[p],對(duì)于含有兩個(gè)音節(jié)以上的音標(biāo)則采用組合法。如[‵h?pi],先拼[h?]和[pi],然后將兩個(gè)音節(jié)組合在一起,讀[h?pi],在提醒學(xué)生注意重音,多讀幾遍就可以了,這種方法對(duì)于學(xué)生打好語(yǔ)音基礎(chǔ)上大有裨益。在以后的單詞教學(xué)中,我欣喜的發(fā)現(xiàn)一般的學(xué)生都能根據(jù)音標(biāo)自己拼讀單詞,聰明的學(xué)生還能根據(jù)發(fā)音規(guī)則來(lái)記憶單詞,大大節(jié)省了學(xué)生背單詞的時(shí)間。
三、游戲中學(xué)音標(biāo),寓教于樂(lè)
愛(ài)玩、活潑、好動(dòng)是小學(xué)生的天性,玩中樂(lè),樂(lè)中學(xué),學(xué)中受益。因此,我們可以經(jīng)常開(kāi)展一些競(jìng)賽性、趣味性、啟發(fā)性較強(qiáng)的游戲,讓學(xué)生走一走、動(dòng)一動(dòng)、讀一讀、拼一拼,激發(fā)學(xué)生進(jìn)入樂(lè)學(xué)狀態(tài)。
1、搶讀音標(biāo)
將全班學(xué)生分成若干小組。然后教師逐個(gè)出示一些音標(biāo)卡片,學(xué)生們舉手搶答,教師讓最先舉手的學(xué)生讀出該音標(biāo),讀對(duì)的給該組記10分,得分最多的組為優(yōu)勝。
2、聽(tīng)音摘音標(biāo)、這是一個(gè)訓(xùn)練學(xué)生聽(tīng)認(rèn)音標(biāo)能力的游戲,首先教師把所學(xué)過(guò)的音標(biāo)寫 在卡片上,共寫兩組,分別貼在黑板上,然后把學(xué)生分成兩組,游戲開(kāi)始,每組的第一名學(xué)生在黑板前等候,教師說(shuō)出一個(gè)音標(biāo),這兩名學(xué)生應(yīng)立即摘下教師所念的音標(biāo)卡片,放到講臺(tái)上,摘的對(duì)而快的得2分,對(duì)而慢的得1分,不對(duì)的不得分。在教師念第一個(gè)音標(biāo)時(shí),各組的第二名學(xué)生應(yīng)上前等候,在第一名學(xué)生摘玩音標(biāo)后,教師立即念另一個(gè)音標(biāo),游戲接著進(jìn)行,最后得分多的組為優(yōu)勝。
3、聽(tīng)單詞找音標(biāo)
這個(gè)游戲的玩法與游戲2相似,不同的是,我們?cè)诤诎迳腺N的是兩組元音音標(biāo)的卡片,游戲開(kāi)始,我們說(shuō)的不是音標(biāo)而是單詞,學(xué)生應(yīng)摘下該單詞中所含的音標(biāo)。
4、聽(tīng)音標(biāo)競(jìng)賽
這是一個(gè)訓(xùn)練學(xué)生聽(tīng)音標(biāo)的游戲,教師準(zhǔn)備兩套音標(biāo)卡片,并將全班分成兩組,沒(méi)人發(fā)一張卡片,教師快速念音標(biāo),持有該音標(biāo)卡片的學(xué)生應(yīng)迅速站起來(lái),最先站起來(lái)的得兩分,后站出來(lái)的得一分,沒(méi)站出來(lái)的得零分,得分多的組獲勝。
5、看音標(biāo)搶讀單詞、將全班同學(xué)分成若干小組,然后教師逐個(gè)出示一些單詞的音標(biāo)卡片(如[k?p]),學(xué)生們舉手搶答,教師讓最先舉手的學(xué)生讀出該單詞,拼出來(lái)并說(shuō)出詞義,讀對(duì)的給該組記10分,得分最多的組為優(yōu)勝。
6、聽(tīng)單詞找元音音標(biāo)
教師準(zhǔn)備若干套元音音標(biāo)的卡片,然后讓每組出來(lái)五個(gè)人,每人發(fā)一張卡片(如五個(gè)元音字母的長(zhǎng)音或短音)。游戲開(kāi)始,教師說(shuō)一個(gè)單詞,如play,拿卡片[ei]的學(xué)生應(yīng)立即站出來(lái)并將卡片舉起,舉的快而對(duì)的給2分,舉的慢的給1分,沒(méi)舉或舉錯(cuò)的不給分,最后得分多的組勝。做這個(gè)游戲,前期可按長(zhǎng)元音、短元音或雙元音分開(kāi)進(jìn)行,后期可混合進(jìn)行。
7、猜音標(biāo) 全班分成若干組,教師教師給學(xué)生們出示若干個(gè)(如10個(gè))音標(biāo)卡片,讓學(xué)生們認(rèn)讀后,教師任意抽出其中一張放在背后,依次讓各組學(xué)生猜,猜對(duì)的組得10分,然后教師再出示理另一張繼續(xù)讓學(xué)生猜,各組第一排的學(xué)生都猜過(guò)后,第二排的學(xué)生接著猜,最后看哪一組得分多。
8、摘蘋果
教師先在黑板上出示一張掛滿蘋果樹(shù)的掛圖,沒(méi)個(gè)蘋果都寫有一個(gè)單詞,如pen,red,ball,wall等,在出示幾個(gè)籃子,每只籃子都貼有一個(gè)音標(biāo),[e]、[?:]等,然后找?guī)酌麑W(xué)生上前面來(lái),把果樹(shù)上的蘋果摘下來(lái),將含有相同元音的單詞放入相應(yīng)的籃子里,如:將寫有pen,red的蘋果放在貼有音標(biāo)[e]的籃子里,將寫有ball,wall的蘋果放入貼有音標(biāo)[?:]的籃子里,最快最準(zhǔn)確的獲勝。
9、找朋友
將學(xué)生分成兩組,教師發(fā)給學(xué)生每人一張單詞卡片(如pen),在另一組必定有一人持有一張相同元音音素的單詞卡片(如red)。游戲開(kāi)始,教師說(shuō)一個(gè)音素,如[e],手持含有此音素的單詞(即pen和red)的兩位學(xué)生應(yīng)迅速站起來(lái),并讀出這兩個(gè)單詞,最先站起來(lái)的得2分,后站起來(lái)的得1分,每站起來(lái)的得零分,得分多的組獲勝。
10、Bingo 每個(gè)學(xué)生準(zhǔn)備一張紙,并在上面畫一個(gè)“井”字,將紙分成九格,然后教師隨便念九個(gè)學(xué)生的音標(biāo),學(xué)生邊聽(tīng)邊將音標(biāo)寫在格子中,隨便填在哪格里都行。學(xué)生填好后教師打亂次序念三個(gè)音標(biāo),哪個(gè)學(xué)生的三個(gè)音標(biāo)在一條直線上就喊“Bingo”,然后將紙舉起請(qǐng)教師檢查,最先喊“Bingo”并寫得準(zhǔn)確的學(xué)生獲勝。
11、運(yùn)用Chant記音標(biāo)
Chant以它優(yōu)美的節(jié)奏和活潑的律動(dòng)(如配以拍手、點(diǎn)頭等動(dòng)作)深受孩子們的喜愛(ài)。它將枯燥乏味的音標(biāo)學(xué)習(xí)變成了一個(gè)有趣的活動(dòng),極大地調(diào)動(dòng)了孩子的積極性,學(xué)習(xí)效果明顯增強(qiáng),如教 [?][b][k][ei][f][e][??][i]時(shí)可編這樣一段Chant: A is apple [?] [?] [?] b is bag [b][b][b] c is cat [k] [k] [k] d is dog [d] [d] [d] e is egg [e] [e] [e] f is face [f] [f] [f] Show me your hands,clap clap clap [?] [?] [?] Show me your heads,nod nod nod [?] [?] [?] Show me your arms,wave wave wave [ei] [ei] [ei] Show me your eyes,wink wink wink [i] [i] [i]
四、激發(fā)學(xué)習(xí)動(dòng)機(jī),導(dǎo)之以情
特級(jí)教師于綺有一句名言:“要把學(xué)生培養(yǎng)成人,須著力點(diǎn)燃學(xué)生心靈的火花;要點(diǎn)燃學(xué)生心靈的火花,教師自己必須是一個(gè)火把,必須心中充滿炙熱的陽(yáng)光?!敝挥屑ぐl(fā)起學(xué)生的好奇心和求知欲,使他們?cè)趯W(xué)習(xí)過(guò)程中產(chǎn)生進(jìn)一步學(xué)習(xí)的愿望和要求,才能使他們更深入地學(xué)習(xí)。因此在音標(biāo)教學(xué)中,我一方面指導(dǎo)學(xué)生正確的學(xué)習(xí)方法,另一方面采用豐富多彩、生動(dòng)活潑的游戲活動(dòng)吸引和感染學(xué)生,讓學(xué)生充分感受到英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的趣味性,從而更喜愛(ài)英語(yǔ)這門課程。心理學(xué)研究表明:讓學(xué)生動(dòng)眼、動(dòng)耳、動(dòng)手、動(dòng)腦、動(dòng)心、動(dòng)情,將有助于學(xué)生全面、主動(dòng)地發(fā)展。其次,在每次的課堂教學(xué)中,在游戲活動(dòng)中,對(duì)于讀的既快又準(zhǔn)的學(xué)生,我或是給予贊許的微笑,或是慈愛(ài)地?fù)崦幌聦W(xué)生的小腦袋,或是真誠(chéng)的贊揚(yáng):“Good!”“Great!”“Well done!”此時(shí)師生同樂(lè),學(xué)生更是心情愉快,與老師的心貼得更近了,師生感情更融洽了。蘇霍姆林斯基說(shuō):“成功的快樂(lè)是一種巨大的精神力量,它可以促使兒童產(chǎn)生好好學(xué)習(xí)的愿望?!睂W(xué)生有了這種成就感,學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ)的信心會(huì)更足,學(xué)習(xí)興趣更濃厚,進(jìn)一步提高了學(xué)習(xí)效果,形成良性循環(huán)。然后是要注意學(xué)生的個(gè)別差異,對(duì)于班上一些接受能力強(qiáng)、學(xué)得好的學(xué)生教師可得出更高的要求,如單詞拼讀時(shí),要求他們從單個(gè)音素增補(bǔ)的口拼過(guò)程直接拼讀出每個(gè)音節(jié)的讀音,這樣使他們不斷努力,獲取更大的進(jìn)步;對(duì)于部分學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)有思想包袱的學(xué)生我告訴他們其實(shí)音標(biāo)拼讀很簡(jiǎn)單,而且我們學(xué)的只是初級(jí)知識(shí),鼓勵(lì)他們多拼、多讀;對(duì)于學(xué)習(xí)有困難的后進(jìn)生,我給他們降低學(xué)習(xí)要求,分解難點(diǎn),稍有成就和進(jìn)步即予以表?yè)P(yáng)。
學(xué)習(xí)英語(yǔ),聽(tīng)、說(shuō)、讀、寫四種能力不可偏廢,而正確的發(fā)音是基礎(chǔ),音標(biāo)的學(xué)習(xí)更是基礎(chǔ)的基礎(chǔ)。如果以開(kāi)始這個(gè)基礎(chǔ)打不好,以后發(fā)音就不正確,將來(lái)往往沒(méi)法開(kāi)口,成為“啞巴英語(yǔ)”。所以在小學(xué)這個(gè)英語(yǔ)學(xué)習(xí)的啟蒙階段,教師應(yīng)該抓實(shí)音標(biāo)教學(xué),讓每一個(gè)學(xué)生都能講一口地道流利的英語(yǔ)。
