北京時間6月14日消息，蘋果CEO史蒂夫-喬布斯(Steve Jobs)近日在美國斯坦福大學(xué)的一個畢業(yè)典禮上作了一場主題演講。喬布斯在演講中向現(xiàn)場的5000多名畢業(yè)生表露，從大學(xué)退學(xué)是他一生中做出的最明智決定之一，因?yàn)檎沁@一決定促使他必須保持創(chuàng)新，即使他當(dāng)時還在為掙夠吃飯的錢而奔波。

喬布斯同時表示，同胰腺癌抗?fàn)幍慕?jīng)歷使他明白人生苦短，因此每一天都應(yīng)當(dāng)過得充實(shí)。

喬布斯在畢業(yè)典禮上穿著涼鞋和牛仔褲，完全不像是一位IT業(yè)界的風(fēng)云人物。與此同時，他在學(xué)生當(dāng)中也受到了搖滾歌星一樣的禮遇，這當(dāng)然同蘋果熱銷的便攜音樂播放器iPod有很大關(guān)系。甚至有一群學(xué)生在畢業(yè)禮服外面套上迷你iPod廣告衫，向著喬布斯高喊：“史蒂夫，讓我到蘋果工作吧！”

喬布斯曾經(jīng)考入美國俄勒岡州波特蘭市的里德學(xué)院(Reed College)，但僅僅8個月以后就因無法支付昂貴的學(xué)費(fèi)而退學(xué)。喬布斯表示，退學(xué)以后他開始旁聽各種他感興趣的課程，其中甚至包括書法，而他的真正教育也正是從這時才開始。在旁聽各種課程的同時，喬布斯只能依靠克里希納教派(Hare Krishnas)提供的免費(fèi)食品勉強(qiáng)維持生活。

喬布斯稱，當(dāng)時很少有人能夠看到學(xué)習(xí)書法的價值，但是他的這段經(jīng)歷很快收到了回報。由于喬布斯掌握多種字體，他所研發(fā)的Macintosh計算機(jī)一經(jīng)露面就鶴立雞群，幫助蘋果同競爭對手拉開了差距。喬布斯說：“如果我沒有退學(xué)，我也許永遠(yuǎn)不會想到去上書法課?！?/p>

喬布斯同時坦言，當(dāng)年被迫離開他一手創(chuàng)建的蘋果公司是他一生中最艱難的一段經(jīng)歷，當(dāng)時喬布斯僅僅30歲。他說：“當(dāng)時在公眾眼中我是一個失敗人物，有一段時間我一度想退出硅谷?！钡珕滩妓共]有這樣做，反而又創(chuàng)建了皮克斯(Pixar)公司。在喬布斯的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)下，皮克斯目前已經(jīng)成為全球3D動畫領(lǐng)域的翹楚，《海底總動員》和《怪物公司》都出自該公司旗下。

喬布斯在演講中還提到了他的病情，他說：“我非常害怕吃藥，但是病人不能逃避吃藥?！碑?dāng)確診為癌癥后，醫(yī)生曾經(jīng)告訴喬布斯只能再活三到六個月的時間。雖然之后他找到了一種有效的治療方法，但醫(yī)生的話仍然讓他明白了很多道理。他說：“如果一個人馬上就要死了，那他還有什么不能失去呢？”

graduates Sunday that dropping out of college was one of the best decisions he ever made because it forced him to be innovative, even when it came to finding enough money for dinner.In an unusually candid commencement speech, Jobs also told the almost 5,000 graduates that his bout with a rare form of pancreatic cancer reemphasized the need to live each day to the fullest.“Your time is limited so don't let it be wasted living someone else's life,” Jobs said to a packed stadium of graduates, alumni and family.KCBS reporter Henry Mulak at the commencement said Jobs urged the graduates to move forward without constantly worrying about how individual choices may, or may not, mesh together.“It was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when I was in college, but it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later,” Jobs said.“You can't connect the dots looking forward.You can only connect them looking backwards.”

The Apple CEO, wearing sandals and jeans under his robe, was treated like a rock star by the students, in large part due to the surge in popularity of his company's iPod digital music player.A group of students wore iPod mini costumes over their robes and several students shouted, “Steve, hire me!”

Jobs, 50, said he attended Reed College in Portland, Ore., but dropped out after only eight months because it was too expensive for his working-class family.“It was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions I ever made,” Jobs said, interrupted by laughter before adding that his real education started when he “dropped in” on whatever classes interested him--including calligraphy.“If I had never dropped in on that single course in college, the Mac would've never had multiple type faces or proportionally-spaced fonts,” Jobs said.“Since Windows just copied the Mac, it's likely that no personal computer would have them.”

Jobs said he lived off five-cent soda recycling deposits and free food offered by Hare Krishnas while taking classes.Jobs also recounted founding Apple in his parent's basement and his tough times after being forced out of the company he founded when he was only 30.“I was a very public failure and I even thought about running away from the valley,” Jobs said.Instead he founded Pixar Studios, which recently released enormously popular films such as “Madagascar” and “Finding Nemo.”

“It was awful tasting medicine but I guess the patient needed it,” Jobs said.When he was diagnosed with cancer, Jobs said his doctor told him he had between three and six months to live.He later found out he had a rare, treatable form of the disease, but said he still learned a tough lesson.“Remembering you are going to die is the best way to avoid the fear that you have something to lose,” he said.Before the ceremony, a plane rented by the Computer TakeBack Campaign, an environmental group, flew over the stadium with a banner that read: “Steve, don't be a mini player _ recycle all e-waste.” The group is prodding Apple to improve its efforts to recycle obsolete electronics.Jobs summed up his remarks by borrowing a phrase from the last issue of the Whole Earth Catalogue, which ceased publication in 1975.“Stay hungry and stay foolish,” he said.
