【校團委】關于舉辦我校第十屆英語演講比賽暨2011年“外研社杯”

全國大學生英語演講大賽天津科技大學選拔賽的通知

各學院團總支、學生會：

為進一步加強和改進大學生素質教育，推動我校大學英語教學改革深入開展，有效地調動我校學生學習英語的積極性和綜合運用英語的能力，校團委、教務處、外國語學院將聯(lián)合舉辦我校第十屆大學生英語演講比賽，并從中選拔優(yōu)秀學生參加每年一度的“外研社杯”全國大學生英語演講比賽。

一、參賽資格

天津科技大學在校本科生及碩士生（年齡不超過35歲）均可報名參加，在職研究生以及往屆天津賽區(qū)前三名的選手不包括在內。

二、比賽形式

1.組織形式

比賽以海選形式進行，報名選手參加選拔賽，優(yōu)勝者進入校級決賽。選拔賽分為A組（泰達校區(qū)學生）和B組（河西校區(qū)學生），場次及晉級決賽名額視報名分組情況確定。

外國語學院團總支承辦本次比賽的全部賽事，比賽組織辦公室設在外國語學院學工辦（泰達校區(qū)9號樓304）。

2.比賽內容

比賽由定題演講和即興演講兩部分組成。

（1）定題演講：

演講主題：“A Word That Has Changed the World”。

要求每位選手在本題目下加小標題。注：“a word”可以是一個單詞，也可以是一個短語，也可以是一句短句。

（海選演講限時1分鐘，校級決賽演講限時3分鐘）

（2）即興演講：（校級決賽項目）

選手當場抽取問題并準備30秒鐘，演講時間為1.5分鐘。

三、報名方式

學生可到本學院學辦報名，報名之前應確定本人定題演講題目。各學院團總支負責本學院按組別報名參賽學生的登記工作，于10月8日（第6周周六）下班前，按照附件中的格式，將電子版和紙質版統(tǒng)一報送外國語學院學辦（泰達校區(qū)9號樓304，河西校區(qū)主樓F區(qū)601），郵箱poison@tust.edu.cn。

四、比賽時間、地點

A組比賽時間：2011年10月15日（第7周周六）上午9：00 地點：泰達校區(qū)，依據(jù)報名人數(shù)確定。

B組比賽時間：2010年10月16日（第7周周日）上午9：00 地點：河西校區(qū)，依據(jù)報名人數(shù)確定。

校級決賽時間：2010年10月22日（第8周周六）上午10：00 地點：泰達校區(qū)圖書館第一報告廳。

五、獎項設置：

1.A、B組小組賽獎項依報名情況確定。

2.校級決賽設一等獎2名，二等獎3名，三等獎5名，優(yōu)秀獎若

干名。連同分組決賽獲獎學生一起發(fā)放獲獎證書及獎杯。

3.獲獎學生中選拔若干名參加“外研社杯”全國大學生英語演講大賽天津市復賽。

各團總支要充分認識這項活動的意義，將其作為加強我校學風建設的重要措施之一。各團總支要組織好宣傳發(fā)動工作，調動廣大學生、特別是11級新生參與比賽的積極性，動員學生踴躍參賽。

2010年“外研社杯”全國英語演講大賽

2010年“外研社杯”全國英語演講大賽于2010年11月10日晚八點二十分在廣西城市職業(yè)學院四號教學樓階七準時舉行選拔賽。

組織這場選拔賽的工作人員井然有序的進行著，顯得很熟練，工作效率極高，選拔賽場布置得簡練也很完美。

選拔賽開始由主持人宣讀出席的嘉賓，這次出席大賽的人員有學院黨委書記姜攀，外國語分院院長謝曉蘭，機電工程分院黨委書記孫振保，資歷深厚的李日耀教授等10多位老師，以及選手們的親友團。今晚參加的選手一共有23位，其中08級09級的占的比例比10級占得比例人數(shù)多，所謂姜還是老的辣，但今晚10級的選手們并不畏懼，不會因選手是學長學姐而放棄比賽，也不會因學長，學姐經(jīng)驗豐富而緊張，日過你是青山上的一棵松，那么你就要經(jīng)得住烈日和嚴寒的考驗，如果你是溪流中的礁石，那么你就要樁基礎美麗的浪花，如果你是大海中的雄鷹，那么你就要有搏擊風浪的勇氣，這是從10級的選手中流露出的感言，只要我們充分，還是會奪取冠軍。鳥兒因翅膀而自由翱翔，花兒因芬芳而美麗，她們駕著自己的夢想一步步邁向成功的彼岸，那種堅定不移和執(zhí)著的精神令人佩服。在坐的觀眾都被選手們那口流利的英語所折服，掌聲一浪高過一浪，最后選手們拿著自己向往已久的證書開心的笑了，她們知道臺上的一分鐘臺下十年功，自己的努力終究沒有白費，希望下次的大賽能夠拿到更好額成績。

英語現(xiàn)在是國際上一門通用的語言，英語大賽的舉行促進了我了我院校園文化，學習氛圍的發(fā)展，為學生日后走上社會進行了很好的鋪墊作用，望我院的教學事業(yè)更上一層樓。
