九、子公司虧損風(fēng)險
公司控股子公司共有6家,分別為:寧波萬達(dá)、杭州萬達(dá)、深圳萬達(dá)、上海萬達(dá)、愛遞吉和在美國經(jīng)營的美國萬達(dá)（Wonders Info Corporation）。其中，前3家子公司均處于虧損狀態(tài)，杭州萬達(dá)已經(jīng)資不抵債。2009年度子公司虧損情況如下表：

公司在報告期末科技三項經(jīng)費余額分別為1,796.43萬元、2,014.74萬元、856.45萬元、2,448.80萬元，公司科技三項經(jīng)費比較多主要由于公司自主創(chuàng)新和研發(fā)能力比較強。如果國家政策發(fā)生變化，公司不能持續(xù)獲得科技三項經(jīng)費，將對公司的技術(shù)創(chuàng)新、人才培養(yǎng)會有一定的影響，并對公司在研發(fā)新產(chǎn)品、提高產(chǎn)品競爭力方面產(chǎn)生一定的影響。
十一、其他風(fēng)險
（一）匯率風(fēng)險
本公司的國際業(yè)務(wù)收入和全資子公司美國萬達(dá)的業(yè)務(wù)收入均以外幣結(jié)算，報告期內(nèi)公司的外銷收入分別為人民幣1,905.98萬元、1,880.71萬元、1,854.85萬元、681.2萬元，分別占同期營業(yè)收入的比例為6.32%、5.89%、4.54%、3.68%。隨著我國人民幣匯率政策改革的逐步深入，匯率形成機制將更加市場化，匯率波動幅度可能更大，從而對本公司的財務(wù)狀況和經(jīng)營業(yè)績產(chǎn)生一定影響。
（二）股市風(fēng)險
股票市場是一個高風(fēng)險的市場，股票價格不僅受發(fā)行人經(jīng)營環(huán)境、財務(wù)狀況、盈利水平及所處行業(yè)發(fā)展前景的影響，而且受投資者的心理預(yù)期、股票供求關(guān)系、國家宏觀經(jīng)濟狀況及政治、經(jīng)濟、金融政策等諸多不可預(yù)料因素的影響。中國證券市場尚處于發(fā)展階段，市場風(fēng)險大，本公司股票市場價格可能背離其投資價值，波動幅度較大，直接或間接地對投資者造成損失。公司提醒投資者在投資本公司股票時，須正視股市中可能涉及的各種風(fēng)險及股票價格的正常波動。
第五節(jié) 發(fā)行人基本情況
一、發(fā)行人改制重組及設(shè)立情況
（一）設(shè)立方式
本公司系經(jīng)上海市人民政府滬府體改審（1998）073號《關(guān)于同意設(shè)立上海萬達(dá)信息股份有限公司的批復(fù)》批準(zhǔn)，由萬達(dá)有限依法整體變更設(shè)立。本次變更以萬
達(dá)有限截至1998年12月31日經(jīng)審計的凈資產(chǎn)46,401,637.39元為基礎(chǔ)，按照1：1的比例折為股本4,640萬元，由各股東按照原出資比例持有，其余的1,637.39元轉(zhuǎn)入公司資本公積；同時各股東以貨幣資金方式增加資本860萬元，按1：1的比例折為股份860萬股。
1999年4月5日，公司依法在上海市工商行政管理局注冊登記，領(lǐng)取了注冊號為3100001004814的《企業(yè)法人營業(yè)執(zhí)照》，注冊資本5,500萬元。
（二）發(fā)起人

（三）發(fā)行人變更設(shè)立前后主要發(fā)起人擁有的主要資產(chǎn)和實際從事的主要業(yè)務(wù) 發(fā)行人變更設(shè)立前后，持股5%以上的發(fā)起人擁有的主要資產(chǎn)和實際從事的主要業(yè)務(wù)均未發(fā)生變化，主要情況如下：
1、職工持股會擁有的主要資產(chǎn)為對公司的長期股權(quán)投資，主要業(yè)務(wù)為股權(quán)投資管理。鑒于職工持股會已于2000年撤銷并將其持有的萬達(dá)信息股權(quán)全部還原為自然人持股，因此目前不再是本公司的股東。
2、上海科技投資公司擁有的主要資產(chǎn)為長期股權(quán)投資，主要業(yè)務(wù)包括對科技創(chuàng)業(yè)投資等風(fēng)險投資。
3、上海申能科技發(fā)展有限公司擁有的主要資產(chǎn)為長期股權(quán)投資，主要業(yè)務(wù)為高新技術(shù)產(chǎn)業(yè)及相關(guān)產(chǎn)業(yè)的投資開發(fā)經(jīng)營，科技產(chǎn)品、科技成果的轉(zhuǎn)讓和經(jīng)營等。該公司持有的股份已于2004年全部轉(zhuǎn)讓給了上海萬豪投資有限公司，因此現(xiàn)已不再是本公司的股東。
4、上海浦東國際機場公司主要從事機場建設(shè)、施工、運營管理和航空運輸有關(guān)的地面服務(wù)，與機場建設(shè)相關(guān)的開發(fā)經(jīng)營服務(wù)，航空運輸業(yè)務(wù)代理以及航空運輸有關(guān)的技術(shù)合作、咨詢服務(wù)等業(yè)務(wù)。該公司持有的股份已于2002年劃歸母公司上海機場（集團）有限公司持有，因此現(xiàn)已不再是本公司的股東。
5、上海有線電視臺主要從事新聞、體育、戲曲等節(jié)目的制作播出。2001年上海有線電視臺和上海無線電視臺合并為上海電視臺，2003年上海電視臺撤銷并組建文廣傳媒，后文廣傳媒被撤銷新設(shè)成立東方傳媒，因此上海有線電視臺現(xiàn)已不再是本公司的股東，其持有的股份現(xiàn)由東方傳媒持有。
6、上海精文投資有限公司系國有獨資的有限責(zé)任公司，主要從事實業(yè)投資、房地產(chǎn)開發(fā)經(jīng)營、除專項規(guī)定外的國內(nèi)貿(mào)易批發(fā)、零售等業(yè)務(wù)。
7、上海長安信息技術(shù)咨詢開發(fā)中心系上海市工商行政管理局主管的事業(yè)法人，主要從事工商行政管理系統(tǒng)計算機及其網(wǎng)絡(luò)應(yīng)用、管理、信息咨詢等業(yè)務(wù)。
（四）發(fā)行人成立時擁有的主要資產(chǎn)和實際從事的主要業(yè)務(wù) 公司實際從事的主要業(yè)務(wù)是以公共事務(wù)為核心的城市信息化相關(guān)軟件開發(fā)與服務(wù)。根據(jù)改制重組方案，以1998年12月31日為基準(zhǔn)日，萬達(dá)有限整體變更為股份有限公司，同時股東以現(xiàn)金方式增資，原萬達(dá)有限所擁有的與城市信息
化相關(guān)軟件開發(fā)與服務(wù)有關(guān)的全部經(jīng)營性資產(chǎn)整體進(jìn)入股份公司，房產(chǎn)、設(shè)備、商標(biāo)、專利等產(chǎn)權(quán)變更手續(xù)已如期辦理完畢。
（五）改制前原企業(yè)的業(yè)務(wù)流程、改制后發(fā)行人的業(yè)務(wù)流程，以及原企業(yè)和發(fā)行人業(yè)務(wù)流程間的聯(lián)系
本公司為有限責(zé)任公司整體變更設(shè)立，不存在改制前原企業(yè)業(yè)務(wù)流程與改制后發(fā)行人業(yè)務(wù)流程的發(fā)生變化的情況。
（六）發(fā)行人成立以來，在生產(chǎn)經(jīng)營方面與主要發(fā)起人的關(guān)聯(lián)關(guān)系及演變情況 本公司成立以來，在生產(chǎn)經(jīng)營方面與主要發(fā)起人完全分開，不存在依賴主要發(fā)起人的情形。
（七）發(fā)起人出資資產(chǎn)產(chǎn)權(quán)變更手續(xù)的辦理情況
上海萬達(dá)信息系統(tǒng)有限公司整體變更為股份有限公司后，所有資產(chǎn)、負(fù)債、人員全部進(jìn)入本公司，出資資產(chǎn)的產(chǎn)權(quán)變更手續(xù)已經(jīng)全部辦理完畢。
（八）發(fā)行人獨立運營情況
本公司成立以來，嚴(yán)格按照《公司法》和《公司章程》等要求，逐步建立健全了一系列公司規(guī)章制度，完善了公司治理結(jié)構(gòu)。目前，本公司在業(yè)務(wù)、資產(chǎn)、人員、財務(wù)、機構(gòu)等方面均與股東單位、實際控制人及其下屬企業(yè)完全分開，具有獨
立完整的業(yè)務(wù)體系及面向市場自主經(jīng)營的能力，具有完整的采購、生產(chǎn)和銷售系統(tǒng)。
1、業(yè)務(wù)獨立情況
本公司與控股股東、實際控制人及其下屬企業(yè)之間不存在同業(yè)競爭。本公司主要從事以公共事務(wù)為核心的城市信息化相關(guān)軟件開發(fā)與服務(wù)，本公司的控股股東、實際控制人及其下屬企業(yè)均與本公司從事不同的業(yè)務(wù)，控股股東和實際控制人均出具了避免同業(yè)競爭的承諾函，承諾不從事任何與本公司經(jīng)營范圍相同或相近的業(yè)務(wù)。
不少漂亮的女孩子都是到高中畢業(yè)后才真正開始蛻變成天鵝。這里的 “tomboy” 指的是行為舉止都比較像男孩子的女孩子。“tomcat” 則是「雄貓」的意思。
第一句里的 “single” 其實就是前面的 “a”(one 的意思 , 放在這里只是用來更強調(diào) “one” 字 , 好象是中文里的「連一個都沒有」的「連」字的作用是一樣的。
24.wet blanket 掃興的人

“blanket” 的原意是「毯子」的意思。美語里面有用 “a wet blanket”(濕毯子 來形容「掃興的人」。我并不清楚為什么 , 是因為濕的毯子蓋了很不太舒服嗎 ? 不知道!我亂想的!
“hit the books” 在【道地土美語】第八頁第四十句里也出現(xiàn)過 , 是「念書」的意思。
25.workaholic 工作狂
A: My wife has been very upset about my bad habit of staying late at work.A: 我太太對我喜歡晚下班的壞習(xí)慣很不開心。
B: I've been there.My husband used to be a workaholic until I gave him an ultimatum.His work addiction almost ruined our relationship.B: 我是過來人。我先生以前一直是個工作狂 , 直到我向他下了最后通牒。他的沉迷于工作基乎毀了我們的感情。
對于「沉迷于酒」的人我們叫他 “an alcoholic”, 對于放不下工作的人呢 , 美語就叫 “a workaholic” 「工作狂」 , 蠻好玩的吧!
“ultimatum” 是「最后通牒」的意思。
“I've been there.”(原意 : 我到過那里 在口語里有「我是過來人」的意思。
26.bully 恃強欺弱;恃強欺弱的人
A: Why do you always seem to get mad every time Meg is around?
A: 為什么每次 Meg 在的時候你就好象很生氣 ?
B: She used to bully me in high school.B: 初(高 中時她常常欺負(fù)我。
也許你會記得小學(xué)時 , 班上總有一、二個學(xué)生也許因為自己塊頭大一些 , 也許朋友多一些 , 專業(yè)喜歡挑一些同學(xué)來欺負(fù) , 這種行為和這樣的人都算是 “bully”。有些 “bullies” 長大后還是喜歡找人家的麻煩的。
27.airhead 笨蛋

A: 不要再跟他提起這件事了。我要怎么樣才讓你這個又硬又厚的頭搞懂呢 ?

美語里面用來罵人家「笨蛋」的字好象還不少哩!除了
“airhead”(頭殼空空 外 , 也有人用 “meathead”(肉頭 , 聽懂就好了。
28.knockout 絕色美女;極出色的東西
A: How do I look?
A: 我看起來怎么樣 ?
B: You know, you're a knockout.B: 你知道你是個絕色美女。
雖然形容漂亮的字眼不少 , “knockout” 卻只用來形容非凡的美 , 可以用來形容女孩子或物品。
“knockout” 原來是指拳擊里的「擊倒」的動作 , 常作 “K.O.”。喜歡玩電玩的朋友可能會看過。像「鐵拳」(Tekken 就有。psycho 瘋子
A: I've had enough of that psycho.I don't want to deal with her any more.A: 我受夠那個瘋子了。我不想再跟她有任何瓜葛。

“psycho” 和 “psychopath”、“ nut” 等都是「瘋子」的意思。就是中文一樣 , 被形容成瘋子的人也許只是一時對一些事情反應(yīng)激烈 , 而不見得是真正的精神病患?！皃sycho” 本身也是形容詞 , 同樣有「瘋了」或「精神病的」的意思。
30.plain Jane 外表平凡的女孩子

嗯...這好象又是一篇罵人篇。不知道為什么 , 常常在整里這些東西的時候會覺得好象找罵人的字比找贊美人的字容易些。寫這么多負(fù)面的字眼真是都不太好意思...31.brown-noser 奉承 / 巴結(jié)的人

A: 嗯...你覺得 Covington 教授會不會喜歡這個香水呢 ?

B: 你真是個馬屁精!
在「流行酷語」第一頁里曾經(jīng)提到過一個叫 “kiss ass” 的俚語 , 意思是「拍馬屁」的意思。這里的 “brown-noser” 也跟「親屁屁」有關(guān)。它的動詞 “brown-nose”, 是形容一個人愛巴結(jié)討好人家 , 甘愿愛親人家的屁屁 , 親到鼻子都變咖啡色了。為什么呢 ? 嗯...這個應(yīng)該是不必多解釋的吧!^_^
美語里形容奉承巴結(jié)的詞語除了 “brown-nose” 外 , “kiss someone's feet” 「親某人的腳」 和 “l(fā)ick someone's boots” 「舔某人的靴」等也都是蠻常用的。
32.sell-out 出賣人家的人
A: I can't believe Dan, the person I trusted so much turned out to
be a complete sell-out.A: 我無法相信 Dan, 這個我曾經(jīng)這么信任的人竟然是個出賣我的人。
B: Man, I don't even know what to say.He really blew me away, too.B: 唉 , 我都不知道該說什么才好。他也真是讓我始料未及。
這「吵架篇」第二頁里面寫到 “stab a person in the back” 「背后捅刀;出賣某人」這個詞語時 , 我們曾經(jīng)順便提到有另一個和它意思相近的詞是 “sell a person out”。這里的 “sell-out” 則是這個 “selling a person out” 的名詞形 , 可以指「出賣人家的人」或是「出賣人的行為」。
上面的對話里 , 還有另外一個我們之前也有看過的詞語是
“blow one away”(blew one away 的原在式。在「流行酷語」的第十一頁里時 , 它的意思是形容某人的表現(xiàn)太過優(yōu)異 , 令人在佩服之外感到十分的震撼。不過在這里 , 這個詞語倒跟佩服毫無關(guān)系。這里的 “blow one away” 應(yīng)該可以翻作我們口語里面講的「被打敗的感覺」。因為沒有想到過對方會是那樣子的人 , 當(dāng)事情發(fā)生了才有一種「怎么可能!」的震撼和驚訝。
33.weirdo 怪人;怪胎
A: Stop bouncing up and down, you weirdo!
A: 不要跳來跳去的 , 怪人!
B: I'm happy!
B: 我很開心嘛!
這種因為開心而在房子里面跑來跑去的丟臉的動作好象也是只有黛西才會有。哈哈哈哈...想順便寫一下關(guān)于 “weird” 和 “strange” 這二個都是「奇怪」的意思的詞。在臺灣 , 我們好象多半會用 “strange”, 而不太會用 “weird”。不過在美國好象就剛好相反了。這二個字其實意思
上沒什么太大的分別 , 也許可以說 , “weird” 在「奇怪的程度上」比 “strange” 稍微強烈一點?？傊?, 當(dāng)要用「奇怪」這個字的時候 , 多半的美國人是會用 “weird” 的。
34.all that 外貌完美無瑕的(人
A: She's not all that.I don't even find her attractive.A: 她并不是真的那么美啊!我甚至不覺得她有什么吸引人的地方。
B: She likes to think she is.B: 她覺得她自己是(長得完美無瑕 啊!
去年有一部美國電影叫作 “She's All That”, 中文翻譯名是「窈窕美眉」。英文片名的直譯其實就是「她長得完美無瑕」的意思?；旧?, “all that” 是一個年輕一輩的人比較會用的字眼 , 不過我并不是很清楚它的來源就是了。
35.drama queen 喜歡小題大作的人
A: He is not home.Where could he be so late at night? I knew it.I knew something was wrong.He must be out messing around.A: 他不在家。這么晚了他回去哪里呢 ? 我早就知道了!我早知道事情不對勁了。他現(xiàn)在一定是在外面跟別人鬼混了。
B: Oh!Stop being such a drama queen, would you? You don't know what's going on.Maybe he's asleep.B: 噢 , 你能不能不要這樣小題大作呢 ? 你并不知道事情是怎么回事啊 ? 搞不好他睡著了呢 ?
“drama queen”(戲劇女王 是用來形容人對一件可能在其它人眼里看來不是很大的事反應(yīng)夸張而激烈 ,。這個詞一般說來是用在女孩子的身上的。

B: I'm not surprised.He's known as a cheapskate.B: 我并不感到驚訝。他是有名的「小氣鬼」。
說一個人小氣時, 用 “cheap” 就可以了。如: “He is very cheap.” 他這個人很小氣。
7.stinker 令人討厭的人
A: Why did you invite Tom? He is such a stinker.A: 你干嘛邀 Tom 哩!他是個很討厭的人。
B: I didn't want him to come.He invited himself.B: 我不想要他來的, 他自己請他自己來的!
“stink” 是「臭;討厭」的意思?！?You stink.” 除了可以指「你(真的)很臭」, 也可以指「你這個人很令人討厭」。
8.geek 土包子;書呆子
A: Have you seen Frank Lately?
A: 你最近有沒有看到 Frank?
B: The geek?
B: 那個土包子嗎?
B: No.He changed completely.He's a babe now.B: 沒有!他完全變了。他現(xiàn)在是個大帥哥!
各位都記得你的國中畢業(yè)紀(jì)念冊里的那張照片吧!是不是打死都不想承認(rèn)那是你呢?那時的土模樣就是很“geeky”(土氣)。美國的孩子比臺灣的孩子早熟些, 很多小孩子很早就打扮的美美的了。于是有不少字就被創(chuàng)造(字典上沒有的字)出來挖苦那些「不知跟進(jìn)」的人。如“geek”、“nerd”、“dork”等。
9.jerk 差勁、沒品的人
A: Can you believe that? David sold the bike that he borrowed from me to somebody else.A: 你相信嗎? David 把相我借的腳踏車賣人啦。
B: Really? What a jerk!
B: 真的嗎? 好差勁的人啊!
不知道為什么, 我的英漢字典都告訴我 “jerk” 是「愚蠢的人」。其實 “jerk” 在美語中(形容人時)是用來指「差勁」、「沒品」的人。
10.babe 帥哥;美女
A: A good thing about living by the pool is you get to see all the babes.A: 住在游泳池旁的好處之一, 就是你可以看這些美女們。
B: That figures.B: 那當(dāng)然!
“That figures.” 是那當(dāng)然的意思。
黛西住的三樓望下去就是游泳池。因為到目前為止還沒見過帥哥, 有時也看看漂亮的美眉過干癮
11.Good Samaritan 仁慈心善的人
“Good Samaritan”(仁慈心善的人)一詞是源于圣經(jīng)的一段耶穌與一個撒馬利亞婦人的故事而來的。耶穌在傳福音時路經(jīng)撒馬利亞。他因走路困乏, 就坐在井邊休息。正好遇見一撒馬利亞婦人來打水, 于是耶穌向她要水喝。在當(dāng)時, 撒馬利亞人和猶太人是一向互不往來的, 然而這名婦人卻給了身為猶太人的耶穌水喝。耶穌也藉此機會和這為婦人談福音。(整段故事可見翰福音四章)后來的人就因這段故事, 把 Good Samaritan 引申為仁慈心善的人。比如927的臺灣大地震默默幫助災(zāi)民的這些人, 都是現(xiàn)在美語里稱的 “Good Samaritan”。
12.bastard 王八蛋
A: Some bastard stole my credit number to purchase a vacuum cleaner?.A: 某個王八蛋盜用我的信用卡號買了個吸塵器。
B: That sucks.B: 怎么那么差勁!
忽然發(fā)現(xiàn)罵人的字還真不少哩!這些字看看就好了, 不要拿來罵人啊!
13.dirty old man 老不修
A: Hey!Your baby sister is quite a cutie.A: 嘿!你小妹長得真是滿可愛(漂亮)的。
B: Leave her alone.You dirty old man.B: 你少碰她!老不修!
“dirty old man” 應(yīng)該就是指那種有「戀童癥」的人吧!
14.mean(心眼兒;態(tài)度)壞;兇
After I told him that I wasn't going to buy the car, the salesman became very mean towards me.我跟那個汽車銷售員說我并不打算買那不車后, 他變的對我態(tài)度惡劣。
“mean” 是用來表示態(tài)度或心眼兒不好很常用的字。好比有人故意做些雪上加霜的事, 就可以說“He is a mean person.”(他這個人很壞)。抱起朋友家的貓, 結(jié)果被貓抓了一把, 朋友也可以對貓說: “You're a mean cat.”
15.hottie(身材好的)俊男/美女
A: Did you see that hottie over there?
A: 你看到那邊那個辣妹沒有?
B: Yeah.She is my girlfriend.!
B: 嗯!她是我的女朋友。
“hottie” 是用來形容面貌姣好, 身材又贊的男女。
16.noodlehead 傻子
A: You don't put aluminum-foil in the microwave oven, noodlehead!You could've started a fire.A: 你不可以(不應(yīng)該)把鋁箔紙放到微波爐里去的!你有可能引起一場火災(zāi)的。
B: I didn't know that.B: 我不知道的嘛!
“noodle” 除了常見的復(fù)數(shù)形當(dāng)「面條」外, 單數(shù)形還有「傻瓜」的意思。它和這里的 “noodlehead” 都是「傻瓜」的意思喔!
17.yellow-belly 膽小鬼
A: Aaaaaah!Who is there?
A: 哇呀!誰在那兒?

還沒碰到那個美國人知道為什么“yellow-belly”(黃肚皮)是「膽小鬼」(coward)的意思。還有一個我們比較熟悉的字意相近的字是“chicken”, 也是有「膽小」、「過于害羞」的意思。
18.killer 了不起的人(事);很好看的人
A: Ain't she a killer?
A: 她真是個大美女, 不是嗎?
B: I know.Look at those legs.B: 是啊!看(她)那雙腿!
“killer”除了指「很好看的人」外, 還有「很了不起的人或事」的意思。比方你的朋友完成了一個你覺得很棒很棒的設(shè)計, 你就可以對他說:“That's a killer.”。甚至你聽到一首很棒的歌曲, 你也可以說:“That song's a killer.”。
19.snob 自負(fù)的人;攀龍附鳳的人
A: Why don't you talk to Barnett any more?
A: 你為什么不再和 Barnett 講話了呢?
B: I don't hang out with snobs.B: 我不和自大的人作朋友(在一起)的。
“snob” 是指因自己的財勢或成就而「眼睛長在頭上」的人。你也以說這些人“full of themselves”, 因為他們滿腦子里都是「我真了不起!」的想法。
“snob” 也可以指對諂上傲下的人。
20.a fossil 古板守舊的人
A: I can't believe that fossil downstairs called the police about the noise.A: 我不敢相信樓下那個化石(守舊的人)因為這點聲音(噪音)就打電話報警了!

用“a fossil”「化石」來形容人的古板, 蠻好玩的吧!21.down-to-earth 實在的A: I had a chance to chat with Dr.Lee last time.I was totally surprised to find out that a famous person like him can be so down-to-earth.A: 我上次有機會跟 Dr.Lee 閑聊。我很驚訝地發(fā)現(xiàn)一個像他這樣有名氣的人竟然可以這樣的真實純樸。

有些時候, 我們可能會看到一些人為因為本身的一些所謂的「名氣」與「成就」, 而流露出
一種「高高在上、不可一世」的感覺。不過還是有不少的人雖然在社會上或?qū)W術(shù)上表現(xiàn)優(yōu)異, 但其言談舉止, 甚至思想都是那么地謙遜、實在而不虛浮。這樣的特質(zhì)就是一種“down-to-earth”的表現(xiàn)。當(dāng)然, 有【低低在地】(這里的“earth”是「地」的意思。)的個性的不只可以在「名人堆」里找, 你的朋友里面就有擁有這些可愛的性格的人喔!
22.sweet 替人設(shè)想的A: I knew you couldn't make it last night so I've got some of the food from the party saved up for you.A: 我知道你昨晚不能來, 所以我把聚會吃的東西留了一些起來給你。
B: You did? Oh!That's so sweet of you, Carol.B: 真的啊? Carol, 你真是太好了!
形容一個人的心地好的字眼常用的有像“nice”、“kind”等等?！皊weet” 這個字可以用在男或女的身上。當(dāng)我們說“She's a very sweet person.” 就是來形容這個人的個性中有喜歡替別人設(shè)想的特質(zhì)。這樣子的人通常應(yīng)該也是個 “caring”(關(guān)心別人)的人喔!
(注)“make it” 在【道地土美語】第二頁第十句里曾出現(xiàn)過, 有「做到、出席到一個地方」的意思。
23.tomboy 男孩子氣的女孩子
A: Are you sure a pretty girl like you never got a single date in high school?
A: 你確定像你這么漂亮的女孩子在高中的時候連一個約會都沒有過嗎?
B: Back then, I used to be a tomboy.Nobody was really interested in me.B: 那時候, 我一直都是一個男孩子氣的的女孩子。沒有什么人真的對我有意思過。
不少漂亮的女孩子都是到高中畢業(yè)后才真正開始蛻變成天鵝。這里的 “tomboy” 指的是行為舉止都比較像男孩子的女孩子。“tomcat” 則是「雄貓」的意思。
第一句里的“single”其實就是前面的“a”(one)的意思, 放在這里只是用來更強調(diào)“one”字, 好象是中文里的「連一個都沒有」的「連」字的作用是一樣的。
24.wet blanket 掃興的人
A: I can't go with you guys.I've really got to hit the books.A: 我不能跟你們?nèi)?。我真的必須K書。
B: Come on!Don't be a wet blanket.Everybody's going.You can study after we come back.B: 好啦!別這么掃興了!大家都要去。你可以等我們回來再看書嘛!
“blanket” 的原意是「毯子」的意思。美語里面有用“a wet blanket”(濕毯子)來形容「掃興的人」。我并不清楚為什么, 是因為濕的毯子蓋了很不太舒服嗎? 不知道!我亂想的!
“hit the books” 在【道地土美語】第八頁第四十句里也出現(xiàn)過, 是「念書」的意思。
25.workaholic 工作狂
A: My wife has been very upset about my bad habit of staying late at work.A: 我太太對我喜歡晚下班的壞習(xí)慣很不開心。
B: I've been there.My husband used to be a workaholic until I gave him an ultimatum.His work addiction almost ruined our relationship.B: 我是過來人。我先生以前一直是個工作狂, 直到我向他下了最后通牒。他的沉迷于工作基乎毀了我們的感情。
對于「沉迷于酒」的人我們叫他“an alcoholic”, 對于放不下工作的人呢, 美語就叫“a workaholic”「工作狂」, 蠻好玩的吧!
“ultimatum”是「最后通牒」的意思。
“I've been there.”(原意:我到過那里)在口語里有「我是過來人」的意思。
26.bully 恃強欺弱;恃強欺弱的人
A: Why do you always seem to get mad every time Meg is around?
A: 為什么每次 Meg 在的時候你就好象很生氣?
B: She used to bully me in high school.B: 初(高)中時她常常欺負(fù)我。
也許你會記得小學(xué)時, 班上總有一、二個學(xué)生也許因為自己塊頭大一些, 也許朋友多一些, 專業(yè)喜歡挑一些同學(xué)來欺負(fù), 這種行為和這樣的人都算是 “bully”。有些 “bullies” 長大后還是喜歡找人家的麻煩的。
27.airhead 笨蛋
A: Don't bring this up to him again, airhead.How can I get this through your thick head?
A: 不要再跟他提起這件事了。我要怎么樣才讓你這個又硬又厚的頭搞懂呢?
B: Hey!Don't call me an airhead.That's rude.B: 嘿!別叫我「笨蛋」啊!很沒禮貌ㄝ!
美語里面用來罵人家「笨蛋」的字好象還不少哩!除了“airhead”(頭殼空空)外, 也有人用“meathead”(肉頭), 聽懂就好了。
28.knockout 絕色美女;極出色的東西
A: How do I look?
A: 我看起來怎么樣?
B: You know, you're a knockout.B: 你知道你是個絕色美女。
雖然形容漂亮的字眼不少, “knockout” 卻只用來形容非凡的美, 可以用來形容女孩子或物品。
“knockout” 原來是指拳擊里的「擊倒」的動作, 常作“K.O.”。喜歡玩電玩的朋友可能會看過。像「鐵拳」(Tekken)就有。psycho 瘋子
A: I've had enough of that psycho.I don't want to deal with her any more.A: 我受夠那個瘋子了。我不想再跟她有任何瓜葛。
B: Please, Ryne.I believe it's only a misunderstanding.B: 不要這樣子, Ryne。我相信這只是一場誤會罷了。
“psycho” 和 “psychopath”、“ nut” 等都是「瘋子」的意思。就是中文一樣, 被形容成瘋子的人也許只是一時對一些事情反應(yīng)激烈, 而不見得是真正的精神病患?！皃sycho” 本身也是形容詞, 同樣有「瘋了」或「精神病的」的意思。
30.plain Jane 外表平凡的女孩子
A: I can't believe he married that plain Jane when he could have any girl he wanted.A: 我不敢相信他娶了那個長相如此平凡的女孩子。他可以要和誰在一起就和誰在一起的。
B: Looks aren't everything.Maybe it's her heart of gold that he fell in love with.B: 外貌不是一切?；蛟S他愛上的是她的一顆美麗的心。
“plain Jane”(平凡的珍)是用來形容外貌不出眾的女孩子。
“heart of gold.”(原意: 金做的心)是「內(nèi)心良善」的意思。
嗯...這好象又是一篇罵人篇。不知道為什么, 常常在整里這些東西的時候會覺得好象找罵人的字比找贊美人的字容易些。寫這么多負(fù)面的字眼真是都不太好意思...31.brown-noser 奉承/巴結(jié)的人
A: Hmmm...Do you think Professor Covington will like this perfume?
A: 嗯...你覺得 Covington 教授會不會喜歡這個香水呢?
B: You're such a brown-noser!
B: 你真是個馬屁精!
在「流行酷語」第一頁里曾經(jīng)提到過一個叫 “kiss ass” 的俚語, 意思是「拍馬屁」的意思。這里的“brown-noser”也跟「親屁屁」有關(guān)。它的動詞“brown-nose”, 是形容一個人愛巴結(jié)討好人家, 甘愿愛親人家的屁屁, 親到鼻子都變咖啡色了。為什么呢? 嗯...這個應(yīng)該是不必多解釋的吧!^_^
美語里形容奉承巴結(jié)的詞語除了“brown-nose” 外, “kiss someone's feet” 「親某人的腳」 和 “l(fā)ick someone's boots” 「舔某人的靴」等也都是蠻常用的。
32.sell-out 出賣人家的人
A: I can't believe Dan, the person I trusted so much turned out to be a complete sell-out.A: 我無法相信 Dan, 這個我曾經(jīng)這么信任的人竟然是個出賣我的人。
B: Man, I don't even know what to say.He really blew me away, too.B: 唉, 我都不知道該說什么才好。他也真是讓我始料未及。
這「吵架篇」第二頁里面寫到“stab a person in the back” 「背后捅刀;出賣某人」這個詞語時, 我們曾經(jīng)順便提到有另一個和它意思相近的詞是“sell a person out”。這里的“sell-out” 則是這個“selling a person out”的名詞形, 可以指「出賣人家的人」或是「出賣人的行為」。
上面的對話里, 還有另外一個我們之前也有看過的詞語是“blow one away”(blew one away 的原在式)。在「流行酷語」的第十一頁里時, 它的意思是形容某人的表現(xiàn)太過優(yōu)異, 令人在佩服之外感到十分的震撼。不過在這里, 這個詞語倒跟佩服毫無關(guān)系。這里的“blow one away”應(yīng)該可以翻作我們口語里面講的「被打敗的感覺」。因為沒有想到過對方會是那樣子的人, 當(dāng)事情發(fā)生了才有一種「怎么可能!」的震撼和驚訝。
33.weirdo 怪人;怪胎
A: Stop bouncing up and down, you weirdo!
A: 不要跳來跳去的, 怪人!
B: I'm happy!
B: 我很開心嘛!
這種因為開心而在房子里面跑來跑去的丟臉的動作好象也是只有黛西才會有。哈哈哈哈...想順便寫一下關(guān)于“weird”和“strange”這二個都是「奇怪」的意思的詞。在臺灣, 我們好象多半會用“strange”, 而不太會用“weird”。不過在美國好象就剛好相反了。這二個字其實意思上沒什么太大的分別, 也許可以說, “weird” 在「奇怪的程度上」比“strange”稍微強烈一點?？傊? 當(dāng)要用「奇怪」這個字的時候, 多半的美國人是會用“weird”的。
34.all that 外貌完美無瑕的(人)
A: She's not all that.I don't even find her attractive.A: 她并不是真的那么美啊!我甚至不覺得她有什么吸引人的地方。
B: She likes to think she is.B: 她覺得她自己是(長得完美無瑕)啊!
去年有一部美國電影叫作“She's All That”, 中文翻譯名是「窈窕美眉」。英文片名的直譯其實就是「她長得完美無瑕」的意思?；旧? “all that”是一個年輕一輩的人比較會用的字眼, 不過我并不是很清楚它的來源就是了。
35.drama queen 喜歡小題大作的人
A: He is not home.Where could he be so late at night? I knew it.I knew something was wrong.He must be out messing around.A: 他不在家。這么晚了他回去哪里呢? 我早就知道了!我早知道事情不對勁了。他現(xiàn)在一定是在外面跟別人鬼混了。
B: Oh!Stop being such a drama queen, would you? You don't know what's going on.Maybe he's asleep.B: 噢, 你能不能不要這樣小題大作呢? 你并不知道事情是怎么回事啊? 搞不好他睡著了呢?
“drama queen”(戲劇女王)是用來形容人對一件可能在其它人眼里看來不是很大的事反應(yīng)夸張而激烈,。這個詞一般說來是用在女孩子的身上的。
