英文日記和漢語日記一樣，是用來記敘一天中所發(fā)生的有意義的事情或?qū)淼拇蛩愕取Ｈ沼浛煞譃橛浭?、議論、描寫及抒情等。記事型是用英語記述當(dāng)天自己生活學(xué)習(xí)中發(fā)生的事情。議論型是對生活中的某一事情或情況現(xiàn)象談自己的看法，發(fā)表議論。描寫型或抒情型，則是對某人物事物的特征做細(xì)致的描述，或針對某事物抒發(fā)自己的感情。

1.格式

 英文日記通常由書端和正文兩個部分組成。英語日記的格式與漢語相同。在正文上方自左起頂格寫上日期、星期幾和天氣情況。

左上角是日期(年、月、日)、星期, 時間的排列法與書信一致，星期寫在日期之后；右上角寫上當(dāng)天的天氣情況，表示天氣情況的詞一般是形容詞，如：fine（晴朗的），cold（寒冷的），snowy（下雪），sunny（陽光充足的），rainy（下雨的），cloudy（陰天的）等。日記的小標(biāo)題寫在下一行，也可省略不寫。

日記的正文是日記的主要部分，寫在星期和日期的正下方，可以頂格寫，也可以內(nèi)縮3至5個字母的空間。記日記力求簡單明了，有連貫性。若有文字提示，則應(yīng)重視提示，把握要點(diǎn)。在句式上盡量使用簡單句，以防繁雜，造成語法、句型錯誤。

2.時態(tài)

寫日記的時間一般是在下午、晚上，有時也可以在第二天補(bǔ)寫。因此，日記中所記述的事情通常發(fā)生在過去，常用一般過去時；但也可根據(jù)具體情況，用其它時態(tài)。如：記敘天氣、描寫景色，為了描寫生動，可以使用現(xiàn)在時，以表現(xiàn)當(dāng)時的情景。再如文后發(fā)表感想或評論可用現(xiàn)在時態(tài)或?qū)頃r態(tài)。

日記的格式

3.時間書寫

1.日期表達(dá)有多種形式。年、月、日都寫時，通常以月、日、年為順序，月份可以縮寫，日和年用逗號隔開。例如：December 18, 2003 或者 Dec.18, 2003

a.September 1, 2004或September 1st, 2004也可省略寫成Sept.1, 2004或

Sept.1st, 2004；B)the 1st of September in 2004(月份不可以縮寫)

b.只有月、日

September 1或September 1st(月份可以縮寫)

c.只有年、月

September 2004或the September of 2004(月份不可以縮寫)

以上的1或1st都應(yīng)讀作the first。

2.星期也可以省略不寫，可將其放在日期前或后，星期和日期之間不用標(biāo)點(diǎn)，但要空一格，星期也可縮寫。如：

Saturday, October 22nd, 2004；October 22nd, 2004 Saturday

3.天氣情況必不可少。天氣一般用一個形容詞如 :Sunny, Fine, Rainy, Snowy 等表示。寫在日期之后，用逗號隔開，位于日記的右上角。如：

Saturday, March 4, 2004, Windy；1st January, 2004, Fine



記敘文要點(diǎn)概述：

記敘文是以記人、敘事、寫景、狀物為主要內(nèi)容，以記敘、描寫為主要表達(dá)方式的一種文體，通常分為三類：

1.以人物為主的記敘文，即以人物為中心組織材料，圍繞這個人物來寫一件

事或兩件事。

2.以事件為主的記敘文。即以事件為中心組織材料，圍繞中心事件，可以寫

一個人或幾個人。

3.以寫景狀物為主的記敘文，應(yīng)注意的是，在一篇記敘文中，寫人、寫景、寫事往往是交織在一起的，不可截然分開，但各有側(cè)重。

寫記敘文通常應(yīng)遵循以下幾點(diǎn)：

1.交待要素，即人、時、地、事。

2.按事件發(fā)生的先后順序敘述，做到完整具體。

3.重點(diǎn)突出，目的明確，不要玩弄詞藻，講清言明即可。

寫作時還要注意，用第一人稱時主要是本人的經(jīng)歷或耳聞目睹之事；用第三人稱時則主要是他人的經(jīng)歷和事情。記敘文所記的都是過去發(fā)生的事，所以原則上通常都用過去時態(tài)寫，但有時也用歷史現(xiàn)在時和戲劇現(xiàn)在時。

1.說明文概述

說明文是用說明的表達(dá)方式來解說事物，闡明事理，給人以知識的文章。說明文最大的特點(diǎn)在于它的說明性。說明文分為兩種類型：實(shí)體事物說明文，包括說明書、廣告、解說詞等；

事理說明文，包括理論性概念解釋、書文簡介、教材等文藝性說明文，即要把說明的對象擬人化，進(jìn)而編成一個故事介紹給讀者。

2.說明文寫作方法

說明文的段落往往以一個主題句開頭，提出文章想要闡述、說明的主要內(nèi)容，然后對文章的主題進(jìn)行展開說明。在英語說明文的寫作中，展開文章主題的常見方法有以下幾種。

(1)羅列法

在文章一開始提出需要說明的東西和觀點(diǎn)之后，用first, second, third,...and finally這些表示順序的詞對需說明的事物或作者的觀點(diǎn)加以羅列說明和闡述。

(2)舉例法

舉例法是用具體的例子說明人或事物的特征、本質(zhì)及其規(guī)律的方法。所用例子必須具有代表性、典型性，能體現(xiàn)人或事物的本質(zhì)特征。通常在主題句后用for example, for instance等引出具體例子。

(3)定義法

定義法是英語說明文常用的一種寫作手法，這種手法主要用于對具體事物的概念進(jìn)行說明或?qū)δ骋晃矬w的功能下定義。它既能揭示人或事物的本質(zhì)特征，同時也能確定說明的范圍和界限。

(4)過程分析法

過程分析就是把事物發(fā)展過程分為若干步驟，然后逐一加以分析說明。這種寫法在說明文中使用得相當(dāng)廣泛。

(5)比較法

有意識地把兩種相反、相對的事物或某一事物的兩個方面放在一起，用比較的方法加以描述或說明，指出其相同點(diǎn)或不同點(diǎn)。

3.說明文的語言特點(diǎn)

(1)英語說明文時態(tài)多用一般現(xiàn)在時

說明文往往是對客觀事物或事理的一種介紹和解釋，這種介紹和解釋一般不隨時間和空間的變化而改變。比如：介紹植樹的方法和步驟，介紹閱讀的方法，解釋環(huán)境污染對人類生活的影響等，這些語言敘述不受時間和空間的影響。

(2)采用客觀表述，避免主觀色彩

說明文通常是對客觀事物的說明與介紹，因此應(yīng)盡可能給人以客觀可信的感覺。在英語說明文中，一般多使用客觀性詞語表述，如maybe, seem, there be等詞或短語。有時為強(qiáng)調(diào)客觀性，說明文也常使用被動語態(tài)。

(3)層次分明，條理清楚

說明文應(yīng)該層次分明，條理清楚，語言簡潔，用詞具體，具有嚴(yán)密的邏輯性。

【范例】

安徽黃山被聯(lián)合國教科文組織定為世界自然文化遺產(chǎn)。假設(shè)外國人到你校參觀后，準(zhǔn)備去旅游。請根據(jù)以下要點(diǎn)向外國友人簡單介紹黃山（the Yellow Mountain）。

（1）位于安徽南部，是中國著名的旅游勝地。每年有大批中外游客前去旅游觀光。

定義：常見的if條件狀語從句表示在某條件下，某事很可能發(fā)生，條件是可能存在的，主句中某種情況發(fā)生的概率也是很高的。

另外，if從句還表示不可實(shí)現(xiàn)的條件或根本不可能存在的條件，也就是一種虛擬的條件或假設(shè)。從句多用一般過去時或過去完成時，表示對現(xiàn)在或過去的一種假設(shè)。
