一封成功的英文自薦信應(yīng)注意以下幾點(diǎn)：

1.語(yǔ)言表達(dá)要簡(jiǎn)潔明了，避免使用太多的專業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ)和過(guò)分復(fù)雜的句子。一方面用人單位不會(huì)在一份簡(jiǎn)歷上花費(fèi)太多的時(shí)間；另外一個(gè)方面，簡(jiǎn)潔的語(yǔ)言表述也能體現(xiàn)出你珍惜他人的時(shí)間。

2.在自薦信的第一個(gè)段落當(dāng)中應(yīng)該明確地告訴對(duì)方你是在何家媒體看到應(yīng)聘廣告以及所要應(yīng)聘職位的名稱，例如Your advertisement for(職位名稱)a Network Maintenance Engineer in(媒體名稱)the April 10 Student Daily interested me。這樣有助于對(duì)方了解招聘信息的有效傳播途徑。

3.語(yǔ)言客觀實(shí)際。英文自薦信中應(yīng)避免自己的主觀判斷性的語(yǔ)言和評(píng)論性的話語(yǔ)，不要過(guò)分渲染自我尤其不要說(shuō)出與事實(shí)不符的能力或特性來(lái)。為了避免過(guò)多的主觀性描述，你可以在自己的簡(jiǎn)歷當(dāng)中用客觀的數(shù)字和引述別人的話語(yǔ)來(lái)描述自己的實(shí)際情況。例如：I have passed CET-6 with a high mark of 96.4.重視開(kāi)頭、結(jié)尾。在自薦信的結(jié)尾，我們通常要提及關(guān)于希望得到面試的事情。因此，結(jié)尾一樣要引起重視。在表達(dá)自己的這樣的意愿的時(shí)候，切忌軟弱、羞怯的表達(dá)方式，例如：If you think I can fill the position after you have read my letter, I shall be glad to talk with you。

5.表現(xiàn)個(gè)人特色。求職的信件要具個(gè)人特色、親切且能體現(xiàn)出專業(yè)水平。切不可過(guò)于隨意，也不能拘泥于格式——商業(yè)信函應(yīng)該是一種既正式、又非正式的文體。句子結(jié)構(gòu)和長(zhǎng)度應(yīng)富于變化，使閱信人總保持興趣。內(nèi)容、語(yǔ)氣、用詞的選擇和對(duì)希望的表達(dá)要積極，應(yīng)該充分顯示出你是一個(gè)樂(lè)觀、有責(zé)任心、有創(chuàng)造力和通情達(dá)理的人。

另外，還有一些內(nèi)容雖然不屬于自薦信的一部分，但是也不能忽視，比如紙張的選用，一般采用品質(zhì)優(yōu)良的A4打印紙，正文用打印機(jī)打印出來(lái)。信件的結(jié)尾處簽名必須是自己的手寫(xiě)簽名。

不用贅言，大家都知道，寫(xiě)自薦信的最后目的在獲得職位，不過(guò)，現(xiàn)在的公司老板很少是看信不看人雇用求職的人。一封自薦信無(wú)論如何文辭并茂，令人心動(dòng)，公司人事主管非見(jiàn)到這個(gè)人的外表是不會(huì)給予工作機(jī)會(huì)的。因此，自薦信的目的在于獲得面談的機(jī)會(huì)。

寫(xiě)自薦信的要點(diǎn)

公司的老板大多認(rèn)為，注重小節(jié)的人對(duì)重大的事務(wù)也會(huì)謹(jǐn)慎行事。一個(gè)人做人做事是否謹(jǐn)慎可以從一封自薦信中看出端倪來(lái)。你別看輕了短短的一封信，一封自薦信可以顯露出一個(gè)人的嗜好、鑒別力、教育程度以及人格特性。下列幾個(gè)要點(diǎn)便是泄露一個(gè)人‘機(jī)密‘的地方。因此，寫(xiě)信人非格外留意不可。

1、紙張的選用：最好使用品質(zhì)優(yōu)良，白色的信紙。信封要配合信紙的質(zhì)料和顏色。

2、書(shū)寫(xiě)：求職者常需用親手寫(xiě)信，字體要寫(xiě)得清潔可辯，龍飛鳳舞的字跡無(wú)疑是自尋絕路。如果可能的話，使用打字機(jī)把信打出來(lái)。這樣看起來(lái)比較具有商業(yè)氣息。

3、格式：信文要適當(dāng)?shù)嘏帕性谛偶堉校袷揭恢?，如采用齊頭式（或斜線式）便需全部一致，不可中途改變

4、語(yǔ)法、標(biāo)點(diǎn)和拼寫(xiě)：正確無(wú)誤的語(yǔ)法、標(biāo)點(diǎn)和拼寫(xiě)使讀信人感到舒暢，錯(cuò)誤的語(yǔ)法或拼寫(xiě)則十分明顯，一望即知，予人壞印象。尤其要注意的是，絕不可把收信人的姓名或公司名號(hào)拼錯(cuò)了。

5、信封：信封上面的地址要完整，稱謂要合時(shí)宜，信紙的折疊要適當(dāng)，大小適合信封。

6、附件：自薦信函通常不須附加推薦信，除非招聘廣告有此要求。遇到這種情形，只須附上復(fù)印件即可。求職函內(nèi)附加郵票或回址信封，強(qiáng)迫對(duì)方答覆的作法不足效法，除非對(duì)方有此要求。

信函的內(nèi)容

自薦信函內(nèi)容應(yīng)包括那些？通常根據(jù)所欲謀求的工作性質(zhì)而定。基本上，可以包括下列幾項(xiàng)：

１、寫(xiě)這封信的目的或動(dòng)機(jī)：通常自薦信都是針對(duì)報(bào)紙上招聘廣告而寫(xiě)的。若此，信中便須提到何月何日的報(bào)紙，有時(shí)‘工作機(jī)會(huì)‘是從朋友或介紹所（如青輔會(huì)就業(yè)輔導(dǎo)中心）聽(tīng)來(lái)的，有時(shí)是寫(xiě)信人不知某機(jī)構(gòu)、公司有工作機(jī)會(huì)，毛遂自薦而寫(xiě)的信，不論是哪一種，自薦信上一定要說(shuō)明寫(xiě)信的緣起和目的。

2、個(gè)人資料：寫(xiě)信人應(yīng)述明自己的年齡或出生年月，教育背景，尤其是和應(yīng)征的職位有關(guān)的訓(xùn)練或教育科目、工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)或特殊的技能；如無(wú)實(shí)際經(jīng)驗(yàn)，略述在學(xué)類似經(jīng)驗(yàn)亦可。

3、備詢?nèi)藛T或推薦人：正常的順序是先獲得這些人同意后再把他們的姓名、地址列入信中，推薦人二至三名即可。

4、結(jié)尾：自薦信的結(jié)尾在希望并請(qǐng)求未來(lái)的雇主允以面談的機(jī)會(huì)，因此，信中要表明可以面談的時(shí)間。使用的句子要有特性、避免軟弱、老生常談的濫調(diào)。

機(jī)智和良好的判斷

寫(xiě)自薦信要有機(jī)智和良好的判斷，下列幾點(diǎn)可供參考。

1、陳述事實(shí)，避免表示意見(jiàn)：與訓(xùn)練和經(jīng)驗(yàn)有關(guān)的事實(shí)可以陳述出來(lái)，但應(yīng)避免表示意見(jiàn)說(shuō)這些訓(xùn)練和經(jīng)驗(yàn)對(duì)所應(yīng)征的工作將有怎樣的關(guān)系或好處。

2、不要批評(píng)他人：如果你要離開(kāi)現(xiàn)職，可以說(shuō)出原因但不要用批評(píng)的方式，雇主想要了解你，而非你的工作機(jī)會(huì)。

3、不要過(guò)份渲染自我：你當(dāng)然認(rèn)為有能力，夠資格才要申請(qǐng)某一職位，但不要過(guò)份夸大自己的能力或表現(xiàn)過(guò)份信心，尤其不要說(shuō)出與事實(shí)不符的能力或特性來(lái)。
