第三篇：SCI投稿問題

第一篇SCI接收已經有一個多月了，早已經沒有了當初的興奮（實際上也不算特別興奮，最興奮的要數(shù)收到審稿意見的那一天）。當時就想著效仿很多老蟲子寫點什么（可以賺點金幣，呵呵），老版主zouzhq也鼓勵我寫一寫，但是我懶勁一度又犯了，再加上看到很多牛蟲都寫的太好了，自己覺得沒什么值得寫的，所以一直拖著?，F(xiàn)在，自己馬上又要開始忙碌了，再不寫恐怕真沒機會了，因此想了想，還是把自己第一次投稿中所碰到的問題和我的應對辦法列舉出來，相信對很多初次投稿的蟲子還是會有些幫助的。

我的第一篇SCI投的是ACS下面的Crystal Growth & Design，整個投稿期間遇到了很多很多的問題，現(xiàn)在想著都覺得亂七八糟，時常感嘆是不是自己人品不好…不管怎么樣，統(tǒng)統(tǒng)和大家交流交流。(二樓的四個附件是審稿意見等書信)

1.關于作者署名

我們實驗室從師兄開始，發(fā)的SCI基本上都是參與者有誰就掛誰的，基本不掛關系戶。這一次，我也是仿照以往的情況署上了作者的名字，但是漏掉了給做好前期工作現(xiàn)在已經畢業(yè)讀博士去的師兄，和我的這個課題的實際申請人L教授。漏掉師兄，很不應該，但是關于L教授，是我事先根本沒有想到的。因為L教授已經從我們學校調走已經一年多，早已和課題組沒有太大的聯(lián)系，關于他和我們這個課題的關系我也不甚清楚，所以真的沒有想到要把他加上。因此，在這里，我要提醒給位初次投稿的蟲友們，寫文章投稿之前一定要把作者的署名確定好，盡量去問問老板的意思，自己也要思量周全，也許你很反感增加關系戶，但是你不應該漏掉每一個對文章有實際或者潛在貢獻的人。我的文章在投稿之前老板并沒有就這些問題細看，所以后來發(fā)現(xiàn)的時候也晚了，因此，我覺得，也許老板不會給你審稿，但是關于文章的一些原則性的問題他們還是能把握的，所以盡量投稿之前還是給老板看看，如果最后出現(xiàn)像我這樣的問題就滿郁悶了，因為越到后面增加作者一直是一件滿敏感的事情。關于這一點的解決方法我在后面說。

此外，在我的初稿中，老板是第二作者加通訊作者。修改意見回來后，我在他心情好的時候問了下能不能把他放到后面，他同意了（后來實驗室也開始沿用這個做法）。這樣的做法是可以讓周圍的同學成為第二作者，而且也許同學寫文章的時候你也有成為第二作者的可能，盡管很多學校不會因為第二作者算你的文章，但是對于出國或者是找一般企業(yè)工作的人來說，多一篇第二作者的文章也是聊勝于無的事情（盡管很多老板現(xiàn)在都是這樣做的，但是我想，萬事也都有個開頭）。于是，在修改稿的時候把老板的名字換到了最后，其他人都往前進行了挪動，在response里面也沒有提這個事情，最后一點問題也沒有。

2.關于圖片質量

這個問題論壇上問的蟲子也很多。很多期刊要求圖片質量到600dpi并且要TIF格式。其實可以通過PS或者corel draw等作圖軟件導出這個圖片，然后導出的時候選擇TIF格式和600dpi，再選在LZW壓縮，另外把尺寸改小一點（10000X10000的可以改到2000X2000就夠用了，太大的話一張圖片幾十兆）

3.關于Supporting Information

Supporting Information是ACS下面期刊常見的部分，一般在文章的末尾處會有著名。內容一般是一些私下提交給審稿人的參考信息（例如詳細的實驗過程、實驗數(shù)據(jù)等）但是不在文章里面發(fā)表的（有的是為了保密又得是為了簡潔）。當時我由于經驗不足，把一個不屬于這個范疇的東西當成了Supporting Information傳了過去，當然，審稿的時候沒有造成什么影響，但是編輯在回復里面卻讓我按照模版把Supporting Information這一章節(jié)補上。這個時候我才去看Supporting Information到底是什么，才知道原來自己擺了烏龍。唉，現(xiàn)在想想就覺得好笑。沒有辦法，只有跟編輯寫信問詢，申請不寫Supporting Information，并承認自己前期的錯誤，好在編輯啥也沒說就同意了（實際上這些信件是助編處理的）。

4.關于Table of Contents Graphic

關于這一點經常看見有蟲子在問。這個并不是ACS下面獨有的，貌似RSC及其他出版集團下面也有這個要求。我當時也不太清楚這個東西到底是啥。后來去看了別人的文章才知道沒有什么神秘的，實際上就是一張你文章中有代表性的圖片而已（可以是示意圖也可是是電鏡，也肯以將文章里面的幾個圖合在一起編輯成新圖）。ACS的TOC除了一張圖以外還要有一段不超過60words的說明。也就是簡要說明你文章的中心思想就行了。TOC在初稿的時候并不如何強調標準，但是在修改稿的時候非常重要。而且修改稿的時候可以對初稿的TOC進行改動，不用對編輯說明也行的（我就完全改了圖，還改了不少單詞）。

5.關于copyright

3，4，5這三條都是編輯在審稿意見回來之后要求一定要弄好的重點。Copyright任何投稿都會遇到，也經?？吹较x子問copyright的問題，無非是關于提交copyright的時間和里面的一些具體地方怎么填，還有就是如何給編輯。我在初稿的時候直接忽略掉的copyright，因為我看木蟲上有人說copyright只是在接收后才有實際意義，那么也就是說晚點交copyright并不影響我正常的審稿。因此，對于大家來說，如果沒有特別的要求的，一般不用太早提交copyright。Copyright的填寫主要還是用pdf軟件在上面直接打字，只需要在“Original Signature(s)”這里親筆寫上和你文章作者順序一致的作者的英文名就行了。另外，也許你會碰到“Print Authorized Name(s)and Title(s)”這樣的文字，Title的意思相當于作者的身份。例如：張三是教授，李四是碩士，那么這里就用軟件打上“San Zhang（Professor），Si Li（Master）”就行了。版權填好以后掃描后傳給編輯（我是掃描成圖片然后把圖片做成PDF傳回的）。

在我投稿之前，我僅僅認為通訊作者郵箱就是一個郵箱而已，就是老板郵箱的代名詞，沒有認真的對待，但是恰恰通訊作者郵箱讓我大漲了一番見識。我也是投稿之前用的是老板的126郵箱。后來在投稿20天后突然莫名的收到了審稿意見回復（系統(tǒng)上突然從第二部飛到了第五步），當時真是十分驚訝。忙問老板，老板打開他又想一看，才發(fā)現(xiàn)早在10天以前編輯就發(fā)郵件給通訊作者郵箱說正在邀請審稿讓我耐心等待了…郁悶…白擔心會被編輯直接砍掉了。后來由于又要給編輯問詢，又怕還出這樣的事情，于是乎起了更換通訊作者郵箱的念頭，老板也沒有意見，于是在修改的時候直接在系統(tǒng)中作者信息那把通訊作者郵箱換成了我注冊的一個新郵箱（我設置的密碼）。關于更換通訊作者郵箱，我猶豫了好久是否再給編輯問詢信，后來想想怕把編輯惹毛（前面因為Supporting Information已經問詢一次了）就算了。慶幸的是，編輯啥也沒說，順利搞定。因此，建議各位初次投稿的蟲子，特別是自己寫文章自己投的蟲子，通訊作者是老板的，沒錯，但是通訊作者郵箱最好用自己的或者自己幫老板申請一個新的，專門對付這次投稿（當然，你有本事的話要到老板郵箱密碼也行）。這樣的話后期你就不會像我一樣郁悶了，并且處理一些事情的時候會快很多（試想一下，當一封重要郵件躺老板郵箱里面，老板又聯(lián)系不上或者不方便轉給你會不會郁悶？）。因為，投稿過程中，編輯只會和通訊作者聯(lián)系的。

7.關于是“大修”還是“小修” 我發(fā)現(xiàn)很多蟲子很關心這問題，仿佛大修接收的可能性一半對一半，小修的可能性就到8成了，而修改重投就是沒有希望的。其實，能不能接收關鍵在于你能不能按照審稿人的意見好好修改，而并不是“大修”還是“小修”。這些詞并不像“如朕親臨”的金牌那么神奇。另外，我們也不能忽略除了大修小修以外的一個情況“修改后重投”，其實只要改好了，重投也是很有希望的，所以很多是這個狀態(tài)的蟲子完全不用灰心，相反應該振作起來，一舉攻克最后一關。總的來說，論壇上就有小修不重視，不按照審稿人意見修改而被拒稿的（審稿人覺得自己被忽視了），也有被編輯打回重投，但是按照審稿人意見修改好后重投直接接收的。所以，希望剛投稿的蟲子們多注意本質（怎么修改），少在乎現(xiàn)象（是大修還是小修）。

8.關于英語的修改

看到很多蟲子問英語不過關，怎么修改的問題。我說說我的經歷。兩個審稿人給我的審稿意中，英語評價都是Fair，說“有很多的文字錯誤”讓我修改（實際只舉出2個）。其實很多情況下是審稿人對母語非英語的作者的偏見而已。為了認真修改，我找了師兄幫我改了一遍。找了老板，請他找他美國的同學幫忙再改。綜合兩者的意見最后敲定。最后在修改稿原文中把修改過的地方全部用紅筆標出，并且在response中逐條列舉出：P1, L15(gas)→ P2, L15(gases)，以顯示自己的確對文章的語言進行了認真修改。最后，很順利，兩個審稿人都沒有就語言說什么。9.關于引用未出版的參考文獻

這個問題在論壇上也看過幾次了。我這次也碰到了，和大家說說。我有篇重要文獻還沒有出版，俺引用了，后面用的是“in press”代替。但是后來想想不對，參考文獻只有作者的名字（而且是中國人的文章，名是簡寫的），沒有頁碼卷數(shù)，沒有標題，要別人怎么搜？這個時候上小木蟲求助了一下，有蟲子告訴我用DOI來表示，很有道理，我最后也是這樣照做的，沒有一點問題。原文在這里（很感謝5樓的兄弟）：http://emuch.net/bbs/viewthread.php?tid=1152081

10.關于二審到接收的等待時間

這一點，太多的蟲子揪心了。幾乎天天都有蟲子問這個。我也很理解大家的心情，畢竟我也是大家中的一員。但是修改稿投出后我恨不得每天刷新100次郵箱。一周后還沒有消息，人就開始十分焦急，情緒低落。其實，我和大家一樣，因為在論壇上看了一些說修改后當天接收或者一周接收之類的帖子，認為這個時間就是定理，才會這么著急的。另外，我們也都有一個慣性思想就是審稿意見也就那么長時間（1，2個月，難道二審要1個月以上不成）。實際上，事實正有可能如此，甚至我看到的絕大部分情況都是超過一個月甚至更長時間接收的。因為，對于有可能接收的稿件，也要考慮出版的安排以及編輯手頭的工作量等諸多問題。在這里我很感謝Thomas2000大哥當時對我安慰，他和我投一個期刊，是1個月大修變小修，小修到接收整整四個月，并且說“沒有消息就是好消息”。算是平復了我焦急的心理。俺甚至還趁這段時間去外地玩了半個月，呵呵。對此，我也寫了個帖子，希望能對各位心情和我原來一樣焦

11.關于增加作者

前面第1點說到了我沒有把師兄和L教授列為作者的事情。修改的時候也沒有增加（其實修改的時候是很好的增加作者的機會），接收以后才發(fā)現(xiàn)了漏掉了師兄（但是還是沒想起來L教授，汗）。這個情況相信也有蟲子遇到過。這個時候我是先直接寫信和期刊的主編聯(lián)系（不是出版編輯部，盡管這個時候稿件已經轉到出版編輯部準備排版了），敘述了自己的疏忽以及師兄的一些貢獻（做了很多前期的研究，并且提供了很多理論依據(jù)），最后附上一句“不知您是否能允許我們彌補我們的疏忽”（具體寫法參加二樓的附件3）。發(fā)過去后編輯很快同意了（加為二作）。但是我還是漏掉了L教授，這個也是我的一大遺憾。后來在校樣的時候在嘗試這一招就不管用了，編輯拒絕。所以，希望大家在剛開始的時候把作者什么的都決定好，省得后面一堆麻煩。就算要加也要在修改的時候加，過了修改的話也行，但是要寫盡快聯(lián)系編輯，機會只有一次。對了，申請加作者的同時一定要附上新的版權哦~~

12.關于更換插圖

我是接收了以后才發(fā)現(xiàn)期刊的彩印是免費的（汗），于是在接收后去信給編輯更換彩色示意圖，并附上了圖片（和增加作者在一起寫的一封郵件，具體寫法參加二樓的附件3）。編輯很快同意了，沒有什么問題。我說這個只是想說明大家初稿或者修改的時候最好把這些都考慮好，不要像我一樣弄的焦頭爛額不得安寧。

13.關于校樣

ACS的校樣非常人性化，編輯幫我修改的很多語言上的問題，然后排版，并把修改的地方做出了標示?；緵]有什么問題，只需要三言兩語回封信就可以了。

14.還有一點經驗之談

不要說俺迷信，哪怕沒有金幣，俺現(xiàn)在看著祝福文章順利接收的帖子是必頂?shù)?，看到被拒稿的肯定要安慰一番，覺得為別人送上祝福和安慰我自己也會好受一些，也許人品也會提高一些，下次發(fā)文也有信心一些，呵呵。當時，也正是很多蟲子在我修改的時候給我鼓勵和幫助，才使得我最后有信心有動力修改了文章并且順利接收。多關心鼓勵下別人，你也會得到一絲快樂，總有一天，幸福的事情也會降臨在你頭上，阿窗~~~ 總結：

一是平時多積累。我在日常讀文獻的時候，如果發(fā)現(xiàn)很好的句子句式，都會記錄在一個文檔里面，如下面的一段話，就是我在一篇文章的摘要中發(fā)現(xiàn)的：

This paper describes the concept of sensor networks which has been made viable by the convergence of microelectro-mechanical systems technology, wireless communications and digital electronics.First, the sensing tasks and the potential sensor networks applications are explored, and a review of factors influencing the design of sensor networks is provided.Then, the communication architecture for sensor networks is outlined, and the algorithms and protocols developed for each layer in the literature are explored.Open research issues for the realization of sensor networks are also discussed.文章用詞忌重復，中文如此，英文亦然。特別是動詞的使用，如在一段話中出現(xiàn)了幾個相同的動詞，感覺文章就跌價不少，而如果用了幾個意思相近而又貼切的詞，自然就會增色幾分。如上文中的describe，explore，provide，outline和discuss，就使得文章有了文采，值得學習和收藏。堅持收集例句，素材多了，自然自己的造句的時候就有底子了。此外，還要注意，在收集例句的過程，隨著例句的增多，也需要對例句進行整理和分類，方便學習和檢索。

二是注意行文中Transition words的使用。Transition words就是在行文過程中，連接意義相關句子的詞，如Therefore，thus，in particular等等。使用這些詞，會使得文章連貫性好，邏輯性強，讀起來一氣呵成，自然會給審稿人好印象。下面是一個關于Transition words的一個總結，供各位蟲友參考：

SCI論文寫作技巧，投稿方法與學習心得

本人今年一年已經發(fā)表了SCI論文4篇，還有一篇在審稿當中，有一些體會跟大家分享：

首先，創(chuàng)新是SCI的根本，一篇SCI，必須有自己明確的創(chuàng)新，有了創(chuàng)新，并且有足夠合理充分的實驗支持，發(fā)SCI就不是問題了，可以說創(chuàng)新是SCI的靈魂。語言也許反復修改，也許早發(fā)，也許晚發(fā)，也許影響因子高或者低，但是總是能發(fā)出來的。

第二，語言。SCI對英語要求很嚴格，容許的語法錯誤很少。所以需要特別謹慎。這是我們中國人投稿英文SCI最頭疼的。平時注意對積累一些常見的語法和句子，看文獻的時候經常摘抄下來，慢慢就會有經驗了。我最初的時候也是經常被拒稿，原因里面都提到英語不好，要找英語母語的人修改，但是那得需要花錢啊?，F(xiàn)在投稿，再也沒有因為語言而被拒稿了，這是一個瓶頸，突破了就好了。再就是找人幫修改，不用害羞，也不用害怕，要知道，這是正常的學術交流。實在不行，投一些俄羅斯等刊物，對語言要求低，不過影響影子就很低啦。

第三，實驗。我們做的很多實驗，都可能在文章中體現(xiàn)不出來?；蛘咦隽撕芏?，但是在文章中就那么一兩句。怎么辦呢，在做實驗之前就很好的規(guī)劃一下，跟文章沒多大關系的實驗盡可能就不要做啦。這樣節(jié)省時間和金錢。

第四。選對刊物?？茨愕膮⒖嘉墨I列表里面的文章都發(fā)到哪里啦，就在投那里，機會會比較多。每個刊物都有側重，跟主編的喜好有關系。這個運氣很重要。有時候影響因子高一點的未必難投。

第五，題目。盡可能搶眼一點，在修改階段，可以列出幾個題目，讓同行幫你修改論文的同時，幫你分析一下哪個題目更好。

第六，摘要，沒有固定的格式。是全文的總結，講全文到底介紹了個什么東西，非常重要。一定要突出創(chuàng)新和意義。總共就3，4句話，比如 其中第一句可以介紹一下做的東西有什么用途，第二句介紹是怎么做的，第三句介紹取得了什么效果，第四句較少有什么重大意義。

第七，introduction，這部分也很重要，也很難寫。感覺是不要寫得太大了，每個研究都有大背景和小背景，寫的太大背景，會讓人感覺不到你的研究的特色，有點喧賓奪主，因為畢竟能看你論文的主要都是小同行。但是要寫得深一點，顯得有水平。這個很看人的水平和知識面。

第八，圖表，越精美越好，但是不是越多越好?？梢詤⒖家幌耮oogle map，看看別人文章里的圖是怎么做的，會有很大啟發(fā)。

第九，結果與討論，突出創(chuàng)新。每個結果的意義方面需要深刻分析。我習慣把結果和討論合起來寫，這樣會在分析結果的同時討論它存在的問題和意義。

第十，參考文獻。要盡量選擇新的，高檔次的參考文獻，這樣給人感覺你的研究比較前沿。另外在羅列參考文獻的時候，也應該特別仔細。因為這里是編輯特別注意的。每個刊物都有自己固定的格式，如果參考文獻格式都出現(xiàn)錯誤，那就說明你太不認真了，對刊物不尊重。如果有Endnote這樣的軟件是最好的啦。另外需要特別注意的是PNAS，這個刊物的縮寫每個刊物都有些細微差別，比如有的有USA，有的是U S A，就很不一樣。細節(jié)決定成敗。

我感覺對于要發(fā)表SCI的碩士，博士生而言，以下幾條是要從讀開學那天就要明白的道理，這可能會少走很多彎路：

1.不要像我曾經一樣恐懼SCI，回頭看看，它真的沒有想象中那么麻煩。

2.不要像我曾經一樣把時間花在擔心上，行動永遠比擔心重要得多！早一天行動，早一天成功走出這段路的希望！尤其是不要把未來的就業(yè)和畢業(yè)想象得很嚴重，事實也許很順利，我就是例證。

3.不要像曾經的我一樣，把過多時間花在探索SCI的技巧上！踏踏實實搞科研，作出成果自然有底氣寫，技巧并非最重要的。

4.如果你像我一樣英語水平差，照樣可以寫出地道的SCI。我寫的那篇文章每句話不是簡單的翻譯，而是想表達一個意思的時候，我總會從母語是英語的外文作者中去找出句式差不多的語句，然后套用他的語句，替換具體的詞語，表達自己的意思（這個辦法很笨很費時間，但是對于英語水平差的人也許是個好辦法，總比先花時間去學一年英語再來寫SCI要節(jié)約時間）。

5.要有一顆感恩的心面對導師和自己的科研。這一點，我本人幾年來做得不錯。我導師對我的確很關照，雖然他很忙。對于科研，一開始我沒興趣，但是真的認真搞的時候，我還是很投入，很有興趣的。這種感恩的心是快速進展的重要前提，如果一天到晚抱怨科研沒意義，或者導師沒時間關心自己就垂頭喪氣，那對自己的進展很不利。我們要辯證看待任何問題。

導師忙，這是大部分導師現(xiàn)狀，那么他沒時間找我們，我們?yōu)槭裁床恢鲃诱宜?？我就經常主動打擾導師，導師對我一直很熱心。其實，大部分導師是很歡迎學生因科研問題去“打擾”他的。所以，他們忙，我們要給予充分的理解。

6.平時多關心父母，感恩父母。我們沒有能力在物質上關心父母，但是父母把我們養(yǎng)到博士畢業(yè)真的不容易，所以平時要多問候一下他們，這樣，老年人心情會好點，我們讀書也會更安心點。

7.做試驗要很細致很認真，要盡量為導師節(jié)約科研經費。這既是培養(yǎng)敬業(yè)精神的需要，也是作出出色工作，便于發(fā)表文章的需要。

8.文獻一定要大量閱讀，讀文獻不要限于“期刊”，對“書本”也要重視。

9.對待審稿意見，一定要很慎重?；貜鸵庖姇r候每個句子，每個詞語，每個標點都要再三推敲，讓編輯和審稿人感覺到我們在十分尊重的態(tài)度對待他們的寶貴意見。對于個別有異議的審稿意見，我們如果想寫不同意見時候，也要在cover letter中說明感激審稿人的意思，并且很委婉很認真地表達自己的觀點。

10.不要隨便去催編輯，免得人家煩。其實我在等待過程中，等不及了想催，每當我想催，實在等不住了，就收到了編輯的nice意見，所以時間不是太長的情況下不要隨便催?。ㄈ齻€月內可以忍受）
