卡梅倫吁英國學(xué)生開始注重學(xué)習(xí)中文

據(jù)英國《衛(wèi)報》12月5日報道，英國首相大衛(wèi)?卡梅倫(David Cameron)呼吁英國學(xué)生放棄法語等傳統(tǒng)語言課程，轉(zhuǎn)而學(xué)習(xí)決定未來的語言——中文普通話。

卡梅倫在結(jié)束為期3天的訪華行程后表示，英國學(xué)生應(yīng)該將注意力從傳統(tǒng)的法語和德語課程上轉(zhuǎn)開，集中精力學(xué)習(xí)正在崛起的中國的語言。為了加強說服力，他還援引南非前總統(tǒng)納爾遜?曼德拉(Nelson Mandela)的話稱，學(xué)習(xí)其他人的語言是贏得其心的最好方式。

英國文化委員會研究顯示，中文將成為影響英國未來繁榮、安全以及影響力的5種最重要語言之一。但目前英國僅有1%的成年人能做到用中文基本對話的程度。在2013年英國普通初級中學(xué)畢業(yè)考試中，僅有3000名英國學(xué)生參加中文考試，遠遠少于學(xué)習(xí)德語、法語的學(xué)生。
