一切經(jīng)歷只是一座拱門

——72級(jí)同學(xué)聚會(huì)發(fā)言稿

時(shí)光難留，人生嘆短，四十年前我和你們一樣，都是容光煥發(fā)的年輕人，如今都滿頭白霜！這使我想到我家中盆栽的朝開(kāi)夕謝的仙人球花。

仙人球是一種非常不起眼的花卉，而且渾身帶刺，但卻具有異常倔犟和頑強(qiáng)的生命力。傳說(shuō)仙人球不會(huì)開(kāi)花，即使開(kāi)花，機(jī)率也很少，持續(xù)時(shí)間至多也只有一天，但很有觀賞價(jià)值。仙人球開(kāi)花機(jī)率少，花期短，這是我親歷目睹的事實(shí)。所以，據(jù)說(shuō)仙人球開(kāi)花象征幸運(yùn)，代表奇跡，能得到原諒。今年我家中前幾天有這么多仙人球花開(kāi)放，真是奇跡！真是幸運(yùn)的征兆：因?yàn)槟芘c四十年前的學(xué)生們聚會(huì)。八十多位的同學(xué)來(lái)自國(guó)內(nèi)外四面八方，四十年一歡聚，難得！幸運(yùn)！喜事！下面用雙語(yǔ)雜吟一首，略表感懷：

致仙人球花 To Cactus Flower

幽人栽種自然隨，The idler cultivates ye without special care，自放自收夜自歸。Of thy own will ye bloom，then wither fair and square。

一朝一夕匆匆過(guò)，Staying only for one day，ye pass hastily into night，芬芳灑盡也無(wú)虧。Leaving behind no regret after shedding all thy light。

我們的同學(xué)們1972年進(jìn)大學(xué)，如今該都是年逾花甲之人了。下面再就根據(jù)英國(guó)詩(shī)人丁尼生的名詩(shī)Ulysses的部分詩(shī)行進(jìn)行改編、改譯，在此吟頌，作為自我鼓勵(lì)，也與同學(xué)們共享互勉：

然而，一切經(jīng)歷只是一座拱門，拱門

之外還有未游歷的世界在閃光，新的世界永遠(yuǎn)出現(xiàn)在征途前方。

生命不只是呼吸！幾次生命相加

也太短，何況每人生命只有一次，對(duì)于老人，更是所剩無(wú)幾；

我這班白的心靈迫切地向往

去追隨知識(shí)，像那西沉的星星，追到人類思想極限以外的地方。

你我現(xiàn)在都老了；但老年人

也還有他的榮譽(yù)感，還有他的用場(chǎng)。

可以有所作為，可以做點(diǎn)高尚事情，老年人與神抗?fàn)幰膊⒎遣磺‘?dāng)。

來(lái)吧，朋友們，發(fā)現(xiàn)新世界為時(shí)不晚。

我們雖然被奪走了很多，剩下也還有不少時(shí)光；

雖然我們已經(jīng)沒(méi)有從前那樣的精力

去戰(zhàn)天斗地，但我們還和從前一樣——

有一樣的勇氣，有一樣的雄心，雖被時(shí)光和命運(yùn)摧弱，但仍有堅(jiān)強(qiáng)的意志

去斗爭(zhēng)，去求索，去發(fā)現(xiàn)，不屈服。
