Experts estimate that by the end of the century, half of the 6,000 languages spoke on our planetwill have disappeared.In west Africa, academics in Togo are trying to protect the small country'srich cultural and language heritage.At the University of Lome, Professor N'bueke Adovi Goeh-Akue shows a visitor some video groupsof Gen cultural rituals.The Professor is a cultural heritage specialist, he is also himself a Gen, one ofmany ethnic groups in Togo.He is making films of Gen cultural customs with financial help from the United States.He says theGen have an important place in Togo's history and culture.Gen rituals show how its people seetheir world;the interaction between the living and the dead, the seen and the unseen.“

The Gen believe in numerous voodoo deities.But today Professor Goeh-Akue says fewer andfewer Gen children go through voodoo initiation ceremonies.He says that increasingly the newgeneration does not recognize the importance of these cultural traditions.He says formal education and the spread of Christianity have reduced their influence.Many youngpeople think traditional practices are uncivilized.And while the Gen language is widely spoken in thecapital Lome, The Professor says it is not taught in schools.Gen is one of about 39 languages spoke in Togo.A specialist in the UNESCO endangered languageprogram says, by the end of the century, more than half of Africa's languages will be gone.The specialist Anahit Minasyan says a language needs speakers, preferably people who speak it astheir mother-tongue or first language.But she says a language at least needs people who canspeak it as their second language.If they are tiny, she says , a language is extinct.She says languages can die as a result of anincreasingly globalized world.”People switch to a language or they raise their children in a language which they think will providefor a better economic opportunity in the future.“

Ms.Minasyan says in Africa, for example, people often switch to larger African languages — notnecessarily to English or French, instead, people might switch to Hausa or Swahili or Wolof, theseare more speakers and provide more economic opportunities than their mother tongues.Socio-linguist Komlan Essizewa says that today many young urban Togolese switch among severallanguages, these include the Mina language spoken in cities.”As a linguist, we have to be very worried about it.Because today, even when people move backto their village, they don't use the language of the village as it is.“ 2 China is strengthening its image as the most important market for the automobile industry.Chinese auto sales are up 13 percent from one year ago.Industry observers are predicting totalsales of over 20 million vehicles this year.By comparison, a little more than 15 million vehicles are expected to be sold in the United States.The importance of the Chinese market could be seen last month at the Shanghai auto show.Industry representatives there were showing products design to meet China's growing demandfor luxury cars and larger vehicles.Dave Schoch is with the Ford Motor Company.He welcomed the chance to meet with thousandsof possible car buyers.”So you've got 30 million customers out there, all with different tastes and different affordabilitylevels.And what Ford wants to do is bring the power and leverage of our global line-up, you know fromsmall to medium to large, into China.“

However, competition can be fierce.Dieter Zetsche is the Chairman of the German automanufacturer Daimler AG.”We are increasing our local content here in this country.And next month we are opening the firstengine plant with the capacity of 250,000 units outside of Germany for Mercedes engines.“

Many Chinese see cars as a sign of success.Yale Zhang is with Automotive Foresight, an industrygroup.He says the rising demand for top quality automobiles is a sign of China's rise as aneconomic superpower.”This market is becoming more like European or American style.“

Demand has been especially high for larger sport utility vehicles, SUVs.Karsten Engel is head of the BMW Group in China.He says the spacious insides of SUVs appeal tothe newly rich, although some will probably never drive them.”The ultimate driving machine, you probably experience a lot from the rear seat with your driver,so you need more space, you want more space.You want to have the possibility to work in the car.“

That is something Stefan Brungs understands.He is the marketing director for the automakerBugatti's.”This is what the Chinese have learned and perceived as luxury--to sit in the back and bechauffeured.“

The demand for larger cars is strong, yet environmental issues and fuel concerns are leading toincreased interest in vehicles with better fuel economy.Nissan's Asia Vice President Andy Palmer:

”Four years ago, when we introduced the concept of the electric car, most of our colleagues inthe industry thought that we had lost our minds.Now it doesn't look so stupid, you know?"

各位老師、各位同學：

大家上午好！

今天，我們在這里隆重舉行2015級陽光學院新生開學典禮。首先請允許我代表學院的全體師生員工，對來自全國各地的2238名新同學表示最熱烈的歡迎！

昨天，同學們帶著親友和師長的囑托，帶著新奇和熱情來到陽光學院，一定對今后要度過四年學習生活的學校有所期待，對夢想起航之地想做進一步的了解，特別是來自省外的同學，我先給同學們介紹一下學院的基本情況。

陽光學院創(chuàng)辦于2001年，是福州大學與陽光控股集團共同創(chuàng)辦的一所獨立學院，今年4月經(jīng)國家教育部與福建省政府審核批準轉設為獨立設置的本科高等學校。陽光學院是福建省首批創(chuàng)辦的獨立學院，也是福建省辦學條件達標首批由獨立學院轉設的民辦本科高等學校。

學院舉辦方陽光集團是集地產(chǎn)、金融、貿易、酒店、教育為一體的綜合性上市公司。集團董事局主席林騰蛟先生熱心教育事業(yè)，現(xiàn)擔任全國人大代表、全國青聯(lián)常委、福建省工商聯(lián)副主席等職，曾獲中國青年五四獎章、全國民辦教育十大杰出人物、中國慈善事業(yè)十大功勛人物等嘉獎。

為幫助同學們盡快了解大學學習生活，我想為同學們介紹一下學院的辦學特色。

第一，重視創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)教育。按照國務院和教育部的要求，學院已將創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)教育納入到人才培養(yǎng)的全過程，成立了創(chuàng)業(yè)教育學院，逐步構建以創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)教育為特色的人才培養(yǎng)體系，打造創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)實踐平臺，建設創(chuàng)業(yè)一條街、創(chuàng)業(yè)孵化基地?，F(xiàn)已建有兩個省級大學生校外實踐教育基

地，與100多家企事業(yè)單位建立了校企合作關系。我們還將組建“創(chuàng)業(yè)精英班”，致力打造“創(chuàng)業(yè)者園地和企業(yè)家搖籃”。學院董事會設立了10億元大學生創(chuàng)業(yè)基金，陽光學院在校生以及校友都可以申請，目的是培養(yǎng)學生的創(chuàng)新創(chuàng)業(yè)意識和能力。希望四年之后，陽光的學生能實現(xiàn)從校園到社會的零適應期，做到“就業(yè)能稱職、創(chuàng)業(yè)有能力、深造有基礎、發(fā)展有后勁”。

在陽光學院，學生的專業(yè)能力和實踐能力得到充分提升。近年來陽光學子在各類學科競賽中嶄露頭角，在大學生電子設計大賽、結構設計大賽、程序設計大賽、數(shù)學建模競賽、沙盤模擬經(jīng)營大賽、大學生藝術節(jié)上均獲得優(yōu)良成績，每年在省級以上各類學科競賽中獲獎達100多人次。最近，我院學生又在全國大學生電子設計競賽中獲國賽二等獎、省賽一等獎；全國大學生創(chuàng)業(yè)設計暨沙盤模擬經(jīng)營大賽福建省總決賽冠軍；全國大學生物聯(lián)網(wǎng)設計競賽華南賽區(qū)一等獎；全國大學生電子商務“創(chuàng)新、創(chuàng)意、創(chuàng)業(yè)”挑戰(zhàn)賽福建賽區(qū)二等獎；首屆海峽兩岸大學生舞蹈大賽銀獎；等等。這幾天，福建省大學生數(shù)學建模競賽正在緊張的進行中。

第二，倡導多樣化辦學。學院倡導因材施教、鼓勵人人成才，希望把每一位學生的潛力充分挖掘出來，讓每一位學生都得到發(fā)展和提升。

學院設置了多樣化的課程體系

學院課程設置涵蓋“專業(yè)教育、素質教育、創(chuàng)業(yè)教育”。希望同學們能認真閱讀各專業(yè)的“人才培養(yǎng)方案”與“專業(yè)修讀指南”。每個專業(yè)都構建了雙課堂體系，在第一課堂學習專業(yè)知識的同時，廣泛開展精彩的第二課堂活動，充分發(fā)揮和培養(yǎng)同學們的學習興趣、專業(yè)特長和發(fā)展?jié)撡|。

為提升同學們的人文修養(yǎng)和綜合素質，圍繞“德、博、雅”的培養(yǎng)目標，學院每學期開設100多門通識教育課程。其中“德”，培養(yǎng)學生“責任立世，真實做事，陽光為人”;“博”，培養(yǎng)學生“博學多聞，現(xiàn)代思維，全球視野”；“雅”，培養(yǎng)學生“高雅品位、文明舉止，多才多藝”。學院每年還都開設考研輔導課程，幫助同學們進一步深造和發(fā)展。

學院推行課程創(chuàng)新，開設了12門適應“互聯(lián)網(wǎng)+”時代的網(wǎng)絡課程，線上教學，線下輔導，學生自主安排學習進度，共享國內優(yōu)質課程資源。

開設了“有學分規(guī)定、無課時要求、無卷面考試”的自主學習課程。同學們可以根據(jù)自己的興趣和能力，提出選題，完成研究報告或策劃方案。變知識傳授為自主學習，充分張揚個性學習。越來越多學生的潛能和專長被發(fā)掘、激發(fā)出來。

電子商務專業(yè)同學實習期間表現(xiàn)不凡，公司排名前十的業(yè)績有五名都是陽光學生創(chuàng)造的；廣告學專業(yè)學生在企業(yè)實踐中表現(xiàn)出扎實的專業(yè)功底與創(chuàng)意思維，受到用人單位青睞，連續(xù)兩年畢業(yè)生就業(yè)率達100%；法學專業(yè)司法考

試首次通過率連續(xù)多年名列省內同類院校第一名。學院有4名同學的社會實踐報告得到當?shù)卣静杉{，有8名同學在校期間發(fā)表論文。

學院推行多樣化培養(yǎng)途徑

學院希望同學們在校期間能有三種學習經(jīng)歷：即在陽光學院的學習經(jīng)歷、第二校園學習經(jīng)歷、校外社會實踐經(jīng)歷。

第二校園經(jīng)歷包括：到重點高?；蚺_灣高校學習一學期、到英國高校讀雙學位。目前，已有42名學生到福州大學學習，134名同學到臺灣高校學習，6名同學到英國考文垂大學進行“3+1”雙學位學習。我們還將從2015級學生中選派優(yōu)秀學生到北京大學學習一學期。學院實施多樣化管理模式

學院實行彈性學制，已有4名學習成績優(yōu)秀的同學用三年時間完成學業(yè)，提前畢業(yè)。學院設有修讀雙專業(yè)計劃，學生在校期間可以完成第二專業(yè)的修讀。在學制年限內，可以根據(jù)所修第二專業(yè)的課程學分，給予專業(yè)學業(yè)證明或畢業(yè)證書、學位證書。

第三，實行開放式辦學。

陽光學院堅持開放辦學，積極開展對外交流，開拓師生的國際視野，與臺灣大學、暨南國際大學、世新大學、東海大學等10所臺灣高校建立了友好交流合作關系。與英國考文垂大學、美國曼哈頓維爾學院開展合作項目。與海外多所知名大學建立聯(lián)系，引入核心課程與教師團隊，逐步與國際高等教育理念接軌。

學院每年均選派師生赴臺灣研修學習，9月份，第九批赴臺訪學的11名同學已經(jīng)動身，到臺灣世新大學、東海大學、銘傳大學、中國科技大學進行為期四個月的學習交流。10月份，37名音樂專業(yè)同學將赴臺灣參加海峽兩岸合唱節(jié)活動。

學院聘請了80多名海內外名師任客座教授，近年來，邀請了北京大學、清華大學、浙江大學、復旦大學以及美國、日本、挪威等多名學者來院講學，如北京大學周其鳳院士、張維迎教授、著名小提琴家盛中華教授、百家講壇學者韓昇教授等，同學們與大師零距離交流，拓展思維空間，激活創(chuàng)新思維。

同學們很快就要開始大學學習生活了，如何過好四年的大學生活，準備好了嗎？我相信很多同學已經(jīng)為今后的發(fā)展目標確立了新的起點。

陽光學院的人才培養(yǎng)核心價值是：責任、真實、陽光。今天，我想就這幾個關鍵詞提三點希望：

一、責任。希望你們成為有責任、敢擔當?shù)娜?。總書記在給華中農業(yè)大學“本禹志愿服務隊”回信時，寄語青少年：“青年一代有理想、有擔當，國家就有前途，民族就有希望?！崩羁藦娍偫碓诔鱿愀鄞髮W一百周年校慶時發(fā)表演講，勉勵廣大青年學子“要志存高遠、有志、有為、有擔當”。責任是信念之基，擔當是力量之源。有責任、敢擔當，首先要為自己負責，只有對自己負責的人，才有資格被賦予更多的責任，只有修己，才有能力去“齊家、治國、平天下”。有責任、敢擔當，更要對社會負責。只有心懷社會的人，才能放大格局，兼懷天下。高等學校不僅是知識傳授的場所，更是人格養(yǎng)成的基地，希望同學們在大學階段，重視學識的積累與品格的涵養(yǎng)，使自己有所獲得，有所提升。懷揣責任感，才能嚴以修身，追求理想；懷揣責任感，才能有所作為，奉獻社會。我校杰出校友2005屆尤國輝同學，畢業(yè)后赴西部建功立業(yè)，參加“大學生志愿服務西部計劃”，工作業(yè)績突出，受到中宣部、中組部、團中央、教育部等六部委表彰。陽光學院的志愿者群體，用行動詮釋著“責任”的意義，他們熱情服務于特奧會、海交會、國際舉重超級大獎賽；他們樂做義工，利用課余時間慰問孤寡老人，幫助留守兒童；他們赴臺研修學習期間，將志愿精神帶到了臺灣，受到當?shù)貛熒暮迷u。他們用實際行動履行著社會責任，為學院贏得了“福建省青年五四獎章集體”、“福州市志愿服務先進集體”等榮譽稱號。

二、真實。希望你們成為求真務實、腳踏實地的人。儒家經(jīng)典《中庸》說，“博學之，審問之，慎思之，明辨之，篤行之”，明確指出了為學的幾個層次：“吸收知識、答疑解惑、遴選消化、擇定結果、篤定地履行”。這句話告訴我們，為學的最后階段最終都要落實到腳踏實地的學習實踐中。2015級同學都是90后，人們都說，90后是與網(wǎng)絡共生的一代，是數(shù)字原住民，思維活躍，接受力強，希望同學們在當今快餐化、碎片化的信息傳播時代，不要沉迷于手機屏幕，不要沉迷于虛擬游戲空間，要將自己的夢想與追求落實到上好每一節(jié)課，讀好每一本書，做好每一次實驗，參與每次課堂研討，參加每項學科競賽，腳踏實地的將每一天過好，將每一件事情做好。

陽光學院走過了十五個春秋，培養(yǎng)了一萬多名的畢業(yè)生，已經(jīng)涌現(xiàn)出一批優(yōu)秀人才，他們執(zhí)著追求，不懈努力，在成功路上邁出了可喜的一步。有的繼續(xù)深造學習，考取了中國社科院、中國人民大學、浙江大學、華中科技大學、英國伯明翰大學、利物浦大學等國內外知名大學的博士、碩士研究生；有的自主創(chuàng)業(yè)成功，資產(chǎn)總值超過1000萬元；更多的畢業(yè)生已成為政府部門及企事業(yè)單位的管理骨干和技術精英。希望同學們能勤奮治學，踏實做事，相信你們中間一定會有更優(yōu)秀的人才出現(xiàn)。

三、陽光。希望你們成為具有陽光心態(tài)、充滿活力的人。我們學院的董事長林騰蛟先生，艱苦奮斗，激情創(chuàng)業(yè)，十多年間打造出了橫跨地產(chǎn)、酒店、金融、教育等行業(yè)的陽光集團，項目投資已經(jīng)遍布國內16個城市及新加坡、香港、美國等地，成為了中國地產(chǎn)閩商領軍人物。在送給2015屆畢業(yè)生的臨別箴言中，林騰蛟董事長道出了成功的秘訣：時刻葆有陽光心態(tài)。陽光心態(tài)是保持青春活力和年輕激情的源泉。他說，積極的人像太陽，和陽光的人做朋友，能夠點燃激情和夢想，使你們的人生與眾不同。林騰蛟董事長的那種陽光向上、追求夢想的精神，感染了許多 的陽光學子。同學們，在今后的學習和生活中，難免會遇到挫折和困境，希望你們保持陽光心態(tài)，學會包容，學會溝通，學會尊重，學會理解，在挫折中選擇樂觀與堅持，在集體中理解團隊與合作，為今后走入社會和職場打下堅實的基礎。

大家新年好！

經(jīng)過一個愉快而有意義的新春佳節(jié)，今天，我們滿懷喜悅和期盼共同迎來了新的學期。在此，我謹代表學校，向長期辛勤工作、無私奉獻的全體老師和頑強拼搏、刻苦學習的廣大同學致以新春的祝福：祝老師們身體健康、工作順利、合家幸福！祝同學們健康快樂、學習進步！

在剛剛過去的2010年我們取得巨大成績，學校發(fā)生了具有影響的8件大事：

1.學校常規(guī)管理成績顯著。我校作為合浦縣六所必檢學校之一，順利通過自治區(qū)學校常規(guī)管理檢查團的檢查評估，并獲得檢查團專家的一致好評。

2.新飯?zhí)媒ǔ刹⑼度胧褂?。去年年初，新飯?zhí)玫慕ǔ杉芭涮自O施的完善，基本解決了同學們吃飯問題，為同學們提供了優(yōu)越的就餐環(huán)境。

3.推行班級量化評比，成效顯著。班級量化評比活動凝聚了全體師生的辛勤與汗水，我們始終堅持公平、公正。評比結果顯示，絕大多數(shù)的班級在良好以上。

4.成功舉辦第九屆體育藝術節(jié)?！伴_展陽光體育運動，強健體魄，報效祖國”是學校一直堅持的辦學目標之一,在教務處的領導下，在體育組和學校團委精心組織下，在全體師

生的積極參與下，整個活動組織嚴密，配合默契，充分展示了“文明、團結、求實、拼搏” 的體育精神和藝術風采，活動取得圓滿成功。

5.教師的教學水平不斷提高。我們的教師在上好每一節(jié)課的同時，不斷加強學習，提高自身的水平。彭福孜主任因為教學成績突出，榮獲自治區(qū)頒發(fā)的“八桂優(yōu)秀教師”光榮稱號，勞華章16位教師撰寫論文，分獲自治區(qū)一、二、三等獎。

6.教學質量不斷上升。上學期期末考試，平均分80分以上的有243人，其中，100分以上的有29人，90分以上的有88人。驕人的成績不會憑空而來，那是全體是師生辛勤汗水的結晶。

7.抓好校園建設，提升學校品位。去年，學校在經(jīng)濟相對困難的情況下，多方籌措資金，添置宣傳櫥窗23個、名人畫像200幅、宣傳牌15個，鋪改街磚1200㎡，維修辦公樓560㎡，更新綠化面積1250㎡，移植種植樹木60棵，安裝校園廣播、監(jiān)控系統(tǒng)各一套。經(jīng)過努力，如今的校園鳥語花香、幽雅寧靜，校園面貌煥然一新。是一個工作、學習和生活的好地方。

8.開展各項活動，豐富校園生活。一是先后組織以班為單位出版10期校園板報，形式多樣、內容豐富的板報成為我們學校一道亮麗的風景線。二是成立學生會組織，學生參與學校的管理，學生干部為學校的穩(wěn)定和發(fā)展做出了貢獻。三是校園廣播活動推陳出新，在學校團委的組織下，校園廣播

內容豐富，精彩紛呈，成為校園文化生活部課缺少的一部分。

學校之所以取得顯著的業(yè)績,就是因為我們在管理上樹立一切依靠教師，一切為了學生的辦學指導思想,辦人民滿意學校。我們按照“依法從嚴治校，科學和諧發(fā)展，關注教師成才，關心學生成長”的辦學理念，以“敬業(yè)、奉獻、愛生、善誘”的教風，促成了“樂學、善思、勤奮、進取”的學風，鑄就了 “文明、創(chuàng)新、誠信、和諧”的校風。在此，我再一次對在過去的一年來為學校的發(fā)展作出艱辛努力和巨大貢獻的師生表示崇高的敬意！

2011年學校將面臨發(fā)展的機遇，我們要以黨的十七大精神為指針，牢固樹立和貫徹落實科學發(fā)展觀，按照辦人民滿意學校的要求，堅定不移的促進學生全面、協(xié)調、和諧發(fā)展，集全體師生的智慧，實現(xiàn)教育教學質量新跨越。在此我想對全體師生提幾點希望：
