一、是¥100還是100¥?

此題應(yīng)選 A。這里涉及使用完整單詞和使用符號(hào)、字母等情況的詞序問題。比較:
這電腦花了我們500美元。
正:The computer cost us 500 dollars.正:The computer cost us $500.誤:The computer cost us 500$.我向他借了200英鎊。
正:I borrowed 200 pounds from him.正:I borrowed £200 from him.誤:I borrowed 200£ from him.類似地,注意以下情況(有的與漢語詞序一致,有的不一致):
他上午8:00到達(dá)。
正:He arrived at 8:00 in the morning.正:He arrived at 8:00 a.m.水在攝氏100度時(shí)開。
正:Water boils at 100 degrees centigrade.正:Water boils at 100℃.他生于公元前234年。

1.從語法角度看,選項(xiàng)C、D都是錯(cuò)的,因?yàn)樵谕ǔG闆r下,在這類簡略答語中,Yes后應(yīng)是肯定回答,No后應(yīng)是否定回答,而C、D兩個(gè)選項(xiàng)將肯定和否定混在一起,故可肯定為錯(cuò)誤選項(xiàng)。
2.至于A、B兩個(gè)選項(xiàng),它們從語法角度看都是對的,但是從實(shí)際情況來看,選項(xiàng)A(Yes, I am)是荒唐的:
—Aren’t you asleep? 你還沒睡著嗎? —Yes, I am.不,我是睡著的。
既然是“睡著的”,又怎么能回答呢? 選項(xiàng)A合語法,但不合情理,不合事實(shí),因此是錯(cuò)誤的。注意:由于前面的問句是否定疑問句,所以答句中的Yes 不能直譯為“是的”,否則,講不通。
再來看看選項(xiàng)B(不僅合語法而且也合情理):
—Aren’t you asleep? 你還沒睡著嗎?
—No, I’m not.是的,我還沒睡著。(注意:No 在此不能譯為“不”。)
3.類似地,下面這句也是不妥的:
誤:I clearly knew that I fell asleep at 10:27 last night.我清楚地知道我昨晚是10點(diǎn)27分入睡的。
此句錯(cuò)在不合事實(shí):因?yàn)榘凑粘@恚粋€(gè)人從“醒著”到“睡著”,有一個(gè)“朦朧”的過程。當(dāng)一個(gè)人能看手表或鬧鐘時(shí),他是醒著的;而當(dāng)一個(gè)人要朦朦朧朧進(jìn)入夢鄉(xiāng)時(shí),他又不可能去看表或鐘了。
三、“中國的首都在哪里?” —_______ the capital of China? —It’s Beijing.A.What’s B.Where’s C.How’s D.Which’s
此題應(yīng)選A。但容易誤選B,因?yàn)閺臐h語意思看為:
——中國的首都是哪里?
——是北京。
從邏輯上看,北京是中國的首都或者說中國的首都就是北京,而不是說中國的首都在北京(里面),這是邏輯上的一種等價(jià)關(guān)系,而不是一種包含關(guān)系。試比較以下正誤句型:
正:—What’s the capital of China? 中國的首都在哪兒?
—Beijing(is)./ It is Beijing.在北京。
誤:—Where is the capital of China?
—(It is)in Beijing.但是我們可以說天安門在北京(里面),那是因?yàn)樘彀查T只是北京的一個(gè)組成部分,它包含在北京范圍之內(nèi)。所以下面一組對話是對的:
正:—Where is Tian An Men Square? 天安門在哪兒?
—(It is)in Beijing.在北京。
注意類似情況:
正:Where do you live? 你住在哪?
正:What’s your address? 你住在哪?
誤:Where’s your address?(若此句視為正句,則只能表示:寫有你的地址的紙放在哪里?)
四、“她是誰?”
