This winter holiday, I have watched the extremely fantastic American teleplay 《Friends》,which is so popular to a high degree that it is one of the most welcome situation comedy in the world.The plot is closely developed with six main protagonists, Rachel, Ross, Monica, Joey, Phoebe and Chandler.Their friendship is the basis of the story, as well as the whole-length main thread, connecting all the drama story.As we all know, one resultful way for human beings to express their feelings is to enjoy the humor, which also becomes a important topic in pragmatic study that how the human system itthe purpose to promote audiences to understand and enjoy the humor.Surely it should be obvious to the spectators, that the conversations are always so funny as to make people cannot stop laughing.Chandler's acerb jokes, Monica's self-mockery, Phoebe' strange words, Joey' stupid utterance, and so on, that inevitably make us roll in the aisles.Not only the language humor, but also the action humor is the feature of this comedy.We are likely to see Phoebe' odd movements every day, Ross and Monica's exaggerated new year dance and Joey' clumsy and stupid behaviors in the drama.Factually, their inopportune talks and actions are actually the humor feature.No one can refuse the joy it brings.Except the humor ,we are also supposed to contemplate the emotion topic the play conveys.Indeed, just as we enjoy the humorous plot, it occurs to us their deep friendships in the same time.They satirize each other, they quarrel without a break, and their personalities are quiet different, but they can't lose anyone of them, as well as their friendships are more and more deep with time going by.Generally speaking, though the six protagonists make fun of their own life and other's drawbacks without hesitation, they put whole their hearts into the friendships between them.Based on their mutual trust and respect, finally, they get on well.And another thing I have learned from this play is the cultural differences between China and America.It is not the same between the two countries, when it comes to the view of family affection.One situation in the drama leaves me a pretty deep impression.When Ross' grandparent passed away, all the family members and friends participate the funeral.During the boring funeral, men watch the ball competition, while women talk happily, which makes me surprised,as it seems that they are not so sad.Afterwards, I understand that Americans do not have the same family hierarchy sense as Chinese.They treat other people including relatives and friends more equally.So when it refers to the view of friend affection, they are also more optional.They respect their friends' lifestyles and are unwilling to put their own opinions on them.Instead, individuals would like to consider more for friends and give tips to them in China.There are huge differences in American and Chinese culture.Above are my reviews on 《Friends》, I definitely think it is a nice play ,and I learned a lot from it.

303 果醬

喬伊在床上蹦蹦跳跳時把手摔到脫臼。

莫妮卡想寄情于工作，忘卻里查德。

她做了很多果醬，喬伊很喜歡吃。

之后，她決定到精子捐獻(xiàn)機(jī)構(gòu)去挑選精子來生一個孩子，結(jié)果她帶回的檔案居然是喬伊的。

菲比被馬爾科姆（后來成了戲外莫妮卡的老公哦?。└櫍巳藢⑺?dāng)做了她姐姐烏蘇拉……其后兩人約會。錢德向瑞秋和羅斯取經(jīng)，如果擁有美滿的男女關(guān)系。

304 戰(zhàn)勝自我，不再害怕承諾

喬伊出演牛奶蓋2000年廣告。

菲比忘了告訴喬伊有電話找他試鏡……

為了彌補(bǔ)自己的過失，菲比冒充喬伊的經(jīng)紀(jì)人給導(dǎo)演打電話。

她的表現(xiàn)如此出色，喬伊請她全權(quán)代理自己的演出事務(wù)。

羅斯的兒子本喜歡玩芭比娃娃，羅斯實在難以接受。

他力圖使本喜歡玩更具陽剛之氣的游戲。

錢德懼怕對女人許下承諾，喬伊說服他正視自己的恐懼……

但錢德冒冒失失提出同居，倒把珍妮絲嚇得落荒而逃。

莫妮卡和瑞秋向錢德表示熱烈歡迎，祝賀他成為她們的同類（就是渴望親密關(guān)系的那一類啦），并用低脂無糖的冰激凌慰勞他。

305 菲比的弟弟小福蘭克

喬伊動工做一個郵箱，工程越搞越大，結(jié)果他做了個娛樂多用柜。

同時他還不小心把錢德的門鋸成了兩半。

之后他又號稱要把莫妮卡浴室的地磚重新鋪一遍，不過舊地磚粘太牢了，于是半途而廢。

菲比和來紐約的弟弟小福蘭克相處了幾天，以便加深彼此的的了解。

當(dāng)她告訴弟弟說她的職業(yè)是“按摩師什么的”時，小福蘭克大大的誤解了。

大伙討論，如果你可以和五個名人睡覺，你會選哪五個人呢？

羅斯經(jīng)過反復(fù)斟酌確定了他的名單，并用錢德的電腦打印在卡片上。

在錢德的建議下，他去掉了原來在名單上的伊莎貝?羅塞里尼（女星英格麗褒曼與名導(dǎo)演羅塞里尼之女，有“最完美的臉蛋”之稱），理由是她太國際化了，不大可能出現(xiàn)在美國；

結(jié)果伊莎貝翩然出現(xiàn)在“中央咖啡廳”里。羅斯后悔得撞墻。

306 時光倒轉(zhuǎn)，昔日重現(xiàn)

因為珍妮絲問到“你們六人當(dāng)中誰和誰差點發(fā)生關(guān)系？”

大家想起三年前的往事：

錢德征求室友；

可愛裸男增肥；

菲比忍受不了莫妮卡的挑剔而偷偷搬走；

酒吧關(guān)門，改成咖啡廳；

海先生吹雙簧管；

瑞秋為即將嫁給巴利而犯了躊躇，渴求最后的瘋狂；錢德拋去媚眼；

海先生從中作梗，趕走了錢德夢寐以求的新室友，反倒使喬伊漁翁得利；

莫妮卡初見喬伊為他的英俊外形所打動，邀他到家中喝果汁。

羅斯替卡蘿結(jié)交新朋友蘇珊而高興；后來才知此女搶走了自己的老婆；

307 賽車床

莫妮卡和菲比到“睡床大王”的店里買床。該老板是珍妮絲的丈夫，兩人的婚姻瀕臨破裂邊緣。莫妮卡訂購了一張床，貨送到后發(fā)現(xiàn)搞錯了。

瑞秋帶羅斯去和父親見面，共進(jìn)晚餐，氣氛不算愉快；第二天吃早午餐時，羅斯和格林醫(yī)生（瑞秋之父）終于在數(shù)落瑞秋時達(dá)成了統(tǒng)一戰(zhàn)線。

咖啡廳的加瑟暗戀瑞秋。

喬伊給肥皂劇演藝訓(xùn)練班上課。

去退貨的時候，喬伊和莫妮卡撞見珍妮絲正在親吻她丈夫。

308 戳他一下

菲比牙疼，但不敢去找牙醫(yī)。因為每次她去找牙醫(yī)，就會有人喪命。

喬伊告訴錢德，珍妮絲還在和她丈夫接吻，于是錢德生珍妮絲的氣。

她同時愛著兩個男人，卻只能挑一個；

就在珍妮絲要選錢德的時候，錢德表示他無法對破壞別人的婚姻負(fù)責(zé)。

羅斯因公離開，瑞秋照看本；

莫妮卡不小心給本的頭上撞了個包。

丑陋裸男買了新吊床，看來靜得蹊蹺；

六人把很多筷子做成很長的一根桿子戳了他一下，以確定他沒有死。

加瑟對瑞秋念念不忘。

309 橄欖球比賽

女孩們做飯時，男人們看球賽；

六人決定一起玩橄欖球。

莫妮卡和羅斯為家族的“蓋勒杯”爭得頭破血流。

喬伊和錢德為場邊的荷蘭女孩爭風(fēng)吃醋，結(jié)果竹籃打水一場空；

瑞秋技術(shù)差，兩邊都不要她。

菲比暴露關(guān)鍵部位，來迷惑對方。

310 瑞秋辭職

加瑟再次訓(xùn)練瑞秋，如何當(dāng)好女侍應(yīng)；

瑞秋決心辭職。

羅斯在樓梯上連比帶劃跟錢德解釋什么的時候，不小心把路過的小女孩碰到，女孩順著樓梯摔下去，腿傷了。

為了幫助她實現(xiàn)參加太空營的夢想，羅斯接替她參加童子軍的慈善義賣，挨家挨戶去推銷餅干。莫妮卡童年時愛吃餅干的習(xí)慣故態(tài)復(fù)萌。

喬伊找到新工作，銷售圣誕樹。

菲比認(rèn)為砍掉樹當(dāng)圣誕樹賣是相當(dāng)殘忍的事，喬伊辯解說圣誕樹生來就是為了過節(jié)時給前家萬戶帶去歡樂，菲比妥協(xié)，繼而向人們推銷老樹。

311 錢德想不起勾搭了喬伊的哪個妹妹

喬伊用撲克玩魔術(shù)，把大家都驚呆了，因為他的技術(shù)實在是太——濫——了，并且還自鳴得意。錢德因為和珍妮絲分手而情緒低落，在喬伊的生日派對上，和喬伊的一個妹妹亂搞；

不過一夜情之后，他竟然不記得是哪個妹妹了；

他拜訪了崔比昂尼家，希望能從喬伊的七個妹妹中辯認(rèn)出來，結(jié)果他親錯了人，事情鬧得不可收拾。瑞秋在咖啡館邂逅馬克，馬克介紹她到高檔商場Bloomingdale's公司面試；

羅斯懷疑馬克的動機(jī)。

菲比和樓上的常發(fā)出噪音的男人約會，此人和菲比約會后轉(zhuǎn)身就和別的女人上床，喬伊等三男上樓找他理論，結(jié)果被他制服。

312 嫉妒

瑞秋在新公司上班第一天；

羅斯繼續(xù)嫉妒馬克。

錢德為他的表親舉辦了一個單身漢派對。

喬伊參加百老匯音樂劇的試鏡，他壓根不會跳舞卻在簡歷上吹得天花亂墜。

加瑟渴望瑞秋。

莫妮卡愛上了愛寫詩的同事朱力歐；

朱力歐為莫妮卡做詩，詩中將莫妮卡比作沒腦子的花瓶，而莫妮卡并未領(lǐng)會弦外之音。事后莫妮卡請了四人演唱組將朱力歐羞辱了一番。

羅斯在單身派對上有艷遇，瑞秋嫉妒了。

313 莫妮卡和里查德只做朋友

莫妮卡和里查德在錄影帶租賃店巧遇，他們決定像朋友一樣相處——但事與愿違。

菲比和運動員羅伯特約會，羅伯特著裝大大咧咧，經(jīng)常暴露重要部位而不自知；

羅斯和錢德極尷尬，而不知如何提醒他。

喬伊和瑞秋交換最愛的書閱讀，一本《閃靈》，一本《小婦人》。

314 菲比的舊搭檔

菲比以前唱歌時候的搭檔蕾絲麗來中央咖啡廳表演，并懇求菲比重組樂隊。

菲比打算同她言歸于好，可蕾絲麗把臭臭貓賣作推銷貓食的廣告歌，菲比又同她翻臉。

錢德在男廁碰見一個叫金吉爾的姑娘并要求同她交往；

金吉爾碰巧又是喬伊的舊愛——當(dāng)年的喬伊發(fā)現(xiàn)她的義肢后感覺無法接受所以不再同她約會。錢德認(rèn)為有義肢沒什么了不起，但金吉爾發(fā)現(xiàn)錢德有第三個乳頭后毅然甩了他。

羅斯繼續(xù)同瑞秋的新工作以及馬克奮戰(zhàn)。

錢德去做手術(shù)，割除了第三個乳頭。

315 羅斯和瑞秋分手

菲比和一個不會講英文的外交官約會。

她說服莫妮卡同去，這樣翻譯才不會落單。錢德和喬伊迷上了搞復(fù)印的女孩，女孩邀他二人同去跳舞。羅斯在瑞秋加班趕工的時候到辦公室不合時機(jī)的制造浪漫，結(jié)果兩人大吵一架。

瑞秋要求兩個人冷靜一下。

羅斯也去跳舞，結(jié)果親了復(fù)印機(jī)女孩。

316 次日清晨

瑞秋因為對羅斯大發(fā)雷霆而抱歉；

與此同時，羅斯和復(fù)印機(jī)女孩一同醒來；

錢德和喬伊說服羅斯不能對瑞秋坦白；

羅斯各處打通關(guān)節(jié)，以免事情敗露，為瑞秋知曉。

莫妮卡和菲比試用“無痛”去腿毛膏。

羅斯和瑞秋沖進(jìn)客廳來爭吵，錢德、喬伊、菲比和莫妮卡被困莫妮卡的房間。

他們餓得發(fā)瘋，只好吃了——（eh...惡心）

317 滑雪之旅

羅斯和瑞秋的決裂，導(dǎo)致其他人只能分別同兩人相處。

兩人的分手還讓錢德傷感不已，因為他想起了父母的離異。錢德戒煙再次失敗。

瑞秋邀請除羅斯外所有人周末去滑雪；

中途休息時，他們被關(guān)在車外。

瑞秋拒絕打電話給羅斯求助，于是莫妮卡和菲比只得背著她這么干；

羅斯找卡蘿借車，去救助他的朋友們；結(jié)果自己卻因為電池用光而被困住。

羅斯還車時纏著卡蘿訴苦，結(jié)果攪和了卡蘿和蘇珊的“周年慶”。

318 催眠錄音帶

瑞秋給錢德一卷催眠錄音帶，幫助他戒煙；

可是這卷帶子是專為女性設(shè)計的，而且它確實具有神奇的效果……

菲比的弟弟宣布要和他的經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)老師結(jié)婚，老師可比他年長一大截呢；

菲比想拆散他們，向羅斯和喬伊求助。

莫妮卡被來餐廳吃飯的顧客約會，此人竟然是一個百萬富翁；

兩人同去吃披薩——是到意大利去吃哦。

319 小小T恤

莫妮卡繼續(xù)同皮特約會，但內(nèi)心卻始終無法對他鐘情；

而他相信他的一往情深終將打動她。

喬伊在一出劇中演男主角，卻同女主角無法相處……后來他發(fā)現(xiàn)，原來他喜歡她。

馬克約會瑞秋。

瑞秋叫羅斯到她家去，把他的東西交給他帶走；

羅斯生氣說，那我什么東西都要拿走，包括我的一件小T恤，你喜歡當(dāng)睡衣穿的！

后來羅斯發(fā)現(xiàn)瑞秋在同馬克約會，就從錢德家的貓眼監(jiān)視他們。

菲比問錢德為什么Spiderman不是一個姓。

羅斯和莫妮卡的阿姨西爾維亞過世，留下莫妮卡曾經(jīng)夢寐以求的玩偶屋給她。

莫妮卡邀請菲比一起玩，但是又為菲比的奇思妙想而不悅；

菲比自己做了一個極富創(chuàng)意的玩偶屋，完全搶走了莫妮卡的生意，但后來玩偶屋著火了。

喬伊非常喜歡凱特，不過卻搭不上手，只好和第二女主角約會；

排練中，喬伊和凱特兩人逐漸來電，終于上床……

盡管喬伊對此十分珍惜，但凱特建議對她的導(dǎo)演男友守口如瓶。

瑞秋安排錢德和老板喬安娜約會；

喬安娜非常喜歡錢德，但錢德卻覺得她非常無趣；

錢德想和她一刀兩斷，卻一次次的禮節(jié)性的對她說，記得打電話給我啊！

321 小雞和小鴨

莫妮卡工作的餐廳要求員工工作時穿溜冰鞋；

莫妮卡練習(xí)溜冰時倒在瑞秋身上，讓喬伊誤會了；

瑞秋受的傷不像預(yù)料的那么輕。

皮特買了個餐廳，請莫妮卡去當(dāng)主廚；

她猶豫要不要接受，因為她至今對皮特還不來電。

皮特編造了一個飛機(jī)上的艷遇，使莫妮卡相信他對她已經(jīng)忘情；

菲比一眼看穿，但答應(yīng)不告訴莫妮卡。

喬伊給錢德買了只小雞當(dāng)寵物，但兩人因為照顧小雞而漸漸開始爭吵（就像照顧小孩那樣啦）。羅斯作為古生物學(xué)者有機(jī)會上電視參加座談，但為了帶瑞秋去醫(yī)院，他放棄了拋頭露面的機(jī)會。莫妮卡和皮特即將分手，兩人最后一吻，而莫妮卡終于感覺有戲。

322 尖叫的湯米

菲比想把電話送修，但保修期已經(jīng)過了，所以她一直不肯掛電話。

大伙參加喬伊新戲的開幕式。

瑞秋和看來很棒的湯米（就是我為瑪麗狂那個男主角）約會……

但湯米似乎很喜歡對人吼叫；羅斯是唯一的證人，但他無法說服別人相信。

喬伊的表演惡評如潮，導(dǎo)演并且和凱特分手；

喬伊和凱特一夜長談，并最終墜入愛河。

凱特得到洛城的工作機(jī)會，在愛情和事業(yè)之間，她選擇了后者。

323 羅斯長了怪東西

羅斯身上長了什么東西，但誰都不知道那究竟是什么；

他去找他的醫(yī)生、錢德的醫(yī)生，最后去找菲比的宗教老師。

菲比一腳踏兩船：魁梧的消防員文思和多情的教師簡森。

鑒于兩人優(yōu)勢互補(bǔ)，都討人喜歡，她不知該蹬掉哪一個。

皮特出差前告訴莫妮卡說“回來后我們談?wù)劇?，莫妮卡開始發(fā)愁，以后皮特要求婚。

大家參觀皮特的住所，看百萬富翁是怎么生活的；

喬伊發(fā)現(xiàn)一張開給戒指設(shè)計師的五萬美金的支票存根；

瑞秋開始為莫妮卡的婚禮規(guī)劃藍(lán)圖。

324 終極搏擊比賽

莫妮卡的男友皮特?zé)嶂越K極搏擊比賽；他屢戰(zhàn)屢敗且屢敗屢戰(zhàn)。

錢德的新老板喜歡拍他的屁股以示鼓勵。錢德很不樂意，給老板提了意見。

菲比問瑞秋說既然你和羅斯分手了那我可不可以把他介紹給我的朋友邦尼；

瑞秋記得邦尼是個光頭女孩所以欣然答應(yīng)；

后來，瑞秋發(fā)現(xiàn)邦尼一頭秀發(fā)，原來她早開始留長發(fā)了。

菲比發(fā)現(xiàn)一張舊照，照片上有她的父母和他們的朋友（也叫菲比），于是她前去探望大菲比。菲比要去海邊過夜，所以大伙決定陪她同去海灘過周末。

瑞秋帶了頂大帽子。

莫妮卡為逝去的感情惆悵傷懷，于是錢德友情提議，“既然你碰到的男人每況愈下，不如你跟我交往吧?！?莫妮卡大笑，錢德竭力證明自己是當(dāng)男朋友的材料。

喬伊建議大家玩撲克，輸一次就脫一件衣服。結(jié)果他被剝得精光。

瑞秋對羅斯調(diào)情，但邦尼出現(xiàn)了。

菲比發(fā)現(xiàn)大菲比并不知道她父親的去向，但是大菲比居然是她的生母。

瑞秋花言巧語勸邦尼再次剃頭，結(jié)果羅斯發(fā)現(xiàn)瑞秋對自己余情未了。

羅斯面臨抉擇。

Last year, I was told that there was an American TV serial called “Friends” that enjoys an overwhelming popularity in America.This semester I had an opportunity to watch it and from that moment on I learned that it had been filmed for ten years.What a great accomplishment it is!It is a story in which six of typical young people live a common life.They are Ross, Phoebe, Chandler, Monica, Joey, Rachel.They have many conflicts in terms of emotion, principles, interest, and social status.Meanwhile, the friendship and love are promoted to a new level.This story actually mirrors our daily life and routines.It also stimulates us to think about how to live a better life and appreciate the beauty of life.Friendship is difficult to establish and easy to destroy.The phenomenon happened to the six friends.Chandler once chased Joey’s girlfriend and had a romance with Joey’s sister.They all have various defects.Ross sometimes declares a dissertation like a a sealed book.Chandler is an expert in making jokes.Monica’s cleanliness and emulation is unbearable.Rachel doesn’t do anything and can do nothing but shopping.She even doesn’t know how to dispose waste.What’s more terrible is Phoebe’s voice.She loves singing but no one can afford to listen to.Nevertheless, we can learn a lot from them.The solid friendship among them doesn’t just result from the demand of plots.The real reason is they know the greatest principles of friendship: trust, tolerance and support.They trust each other and tolerant others’ shortcoming and mistakes, what’s more, they support each other to do what he or she likes to do.

One-way street就是單行道。尤其在Downtown地區(qū)，以亞特蘭大和紐奧良為例，其復(fù)雜的程度可以用進(jìn)的去，出不來來形容，實在不是個愉快的開車經(jīng)驗。2.You will stay on the street for a while until you hit the first traffic light.你會走一會兒，直到你遇到第一個紅綠燈。

Stay for a while 通常指五到十分鐘的時間，不會太久。遇見某樣?xùn)|西，可以用hit 這個字，如hit the traffic light, hit the stop sign 等等。3.Then take a left.向左轉(zhuǎn)。

向左轉(zhuǎn)可以說成turn left，take a left 或是Make a left。有時光講take a left 不明確，你可以加上路名，明確地告訴人家要轉(zhuǎn)哪一條路，例如Take a left into Hemphill Ave。或是Take a left onto Hemphill Ave。

4.It will be Hemphill Ave.It’s two-lane traffic.那就會是Hemphill Ave，它是一條雙線道。

指路的時候如果能夠說出街道名稱是最好，所以通常我會把轉(zhuǎn)到哪一條路的路名也指出來。至于是幾線道一般指路的時候則比較不會提及。雙線道是指來去各一個車道共二線道而言，四線道就是four-lane traffic。像亞特蘭大的Interstate Highway 有些地方都是十二線道，那就是twelve-lane traffic 夠驚人吧。

5.Come down Hemphill Ave about five blocks.由Hemphill 街往下走約五個街區(qū)。

英文這個部份跟中文有異曲同工之妙，我們會習(xí)慣地說，往“下” 走，英文也會說come “down” 或是get “down”，這里如果只說Come Hemphill Ave聽來是不是怪怪的？至于block 指的是一塊一塊的建筑，外國人在指路時很喜歡用block 作為計量的單位。6.You will see a BP gas station on your left.在你的左手邊你會看到一座BP加油站。

指路的時候除了路名之外，明顯的地標(biāo)也是有幫助的。通常你可以指出一些明顯的建筑物或是加油站來幫助對方。加油站的英文是gas station，有時會簡稱station。7.Keep going 50 yards before you come to a fork road.繼續(xù)走50碼，直到你走到一個三叉路口。

繼續(xù)往下走可以用keep going這個字，或是continue straight 或是keep straight也很常用。Fork road就是我們說的三叉路口。那如果是丁字路口要怎么說？你可以說，This road will dead end into 10th Street.就可以表達(dá)出丁字路口的意思了。

8.Make a right, pass two stop signs and you will run into a Wal Mart.向右轉(zhuǎn)，經(jīng)過兩個Stop sign，你就會遇到Wal Mart。

老美喜歡說You’ll run into it!意思就是，你會遇到的。You can’t miss it!就是說，你絕不會錯過的。

Right across the street of it 是個很重要的短語，加上“right” across 表示出“正” 對面的意思。還有一個很常用的就是在什么什么的旁邊，這個要用The office is next to it.It 代表之前已經(jīng)提過的Wal Mart，如果之前沒有提及，這里也可以直接說成，across the street of Wal Mart。10.Mr.Yang’s house is behind the post office.楊先生的房子就在郵局后面。
