【例】四級(jí)考試中,只出現(xiàn)過(guò)一次專門的記敘文體裁的寫作,即“An Early Morning Walk”(1988.6.),2003年6月出現(xiàn)過(guò)包含記敘文的作文,即“An Eye-Witness Account of a Traffic Accident”。

An Early Morning Walk
One morning I got up very early, and everything around was very quiet. The sun had just risen, shining brilliantly and everything seemed to be covered with a layer of golden silk. There were only some birds singing occasionally in the tall trees.I strolled along the street toward the park, breathing the fresh air and feeling extremely happy. When I arrived at the park,I found,to my surprise, that there were so many people there.Men and women, boys and girls, all were enjoying themselves in their various activities. Some were doing morning exercises, some were playing badminton and some old people were having their tea while talking to each other cheerfully.I wandered around the park.To my delight,I found a few middle-school students talking to each other in English in one corner of the park.I went up and spoke to them in English. We soon became friends.I was very glad to find another opportunity to practice my spoken English. On the way home,I realized that an early morning walk really was good and healthful.Taking early morning walks makes one healthy and wise.【點(diǎn)評(píng)】文章按照時(shí)間順序(in chronological order),第一句話點(diǎn)明時(shí)間(One morning)、人物(第一人稱“I”),并簡(jiǎn)要描述了早晨的特點(diǎn)(What was the setting),接著第二段第一句話交代地點(diǎn)(in the park),然后介紹公園里人們及作者的活動(dòng)(What was happening),最后在文章結(jié)尾點(diǎn)題,即,歸納中心思想——Taking early morning walks makes one healthy and wise.

Last night I was driving home from work.I had an accident.I was following behind a truck, driving at about 30 kilometers an hour.I was watching the traffic carefully because it was getting dark.Suddenly a small girl ran onto the road from the left. She was chasing a dog and she wasn’t paying any attention to the traffic.I immediately applied the brakes and turned the steering wheel quickly to the right. The girl jumped towards the side of the road as soon as she saw my car.Fortunately I did not hit her,but I hit a car coming in the other direction.Luckily I was not driving very fast so the damage was not serious. It is better to damage a car than to injure a young child,I thought to myself.

About nine O’clock one evening in May, my roommate Li Ming was lying in bed, trembling with cold and having a cough. His head was aching so intensely that he kept groaning. His forehead felt very hot.We took his temperature. It was 38.5℃.Without hesitation,I dialed “120”.It wasn’t long before an ambulance arrived. One roommate brought a blanket for him.Another supported him in the ambulance. Our teacher insisted on giving him some money. Is he a suspected SARS patient?Who can tell ?But we didn’t retreat. When the savage SARS was spreading, people showed fearless spirit regardless of dangers to their own health. This kind of care between persons is the very kind giving, unselfish and priceless devotion or sacrifice. And it is just because of this care that we can have warm families, a happy life and a beautiful world.范文2
During the SARS period in this spring, the year of 2003, one of my classmates, Li Ming, was struck down by the virus and was immediately sent to hospital. The news spread quickly on campus. At first, we were terrified and wondered if we were infected too. However, through our government's publicity on mass media, we gradually conquered the fear and set out to try our best to help her. Some teachers provided daily necessities while some students recorded the English class contents for him so that Li Ming could not be left behind. With our care and concern, Li Ming recovered quickly.Such an incident teaches us a good moral. Our society is full of love, warm and peaceful, in which people from man to woman, from individual to individual lend others a hand.Just like a famous song goes, “the world will turn it to heaven only if everyone contributes a little.” and I do believe that it's my great honor to live in this love-filled paradise!

Teaching is the most glorious and respectable career. On Teacher’s Day, I’d like to express my innermost appreciation and gratitude to all the teachers in the world.Teachers are the elevators of human souls.I still remember how my teachers pulled me through a critical moment.I did a poor job in the first preparation test for the National College Entrance Examination and was considerably depressed. Then my teachers came to my rescue.Patiently, my English teacher went through the paper with me word by word and encouraged me to carry on.My chemistry teacher also gave me a precious gift.He told me not to be obsessed with the test results and encouraged me to find fun in learning.Their help enabled me to survive the competition and will surely benefit me in the future.Perhaps I’ll never have a chance to repay all that I have received from my teachers. But I’ll try to be a useful person and become their pride.
Friendship is a kind of human relations. It is a human instinct to make friends. When in trouble, we need friends to offer us help, support and encouragement. With success achieved, we also need friends to share our joys.Friendship is also one of the greatest pleasures that we can enjoy. It implies loyalty, cordiality, sympathy, affection, and readiness to help.No man can make the most of his life without carefully and conscientiously striving to win the right kind of friends as he goes along.Knowing how valuable friendship is, we should be very careful in making friends.Real friends are those who have good character, superior ability and kindness of heart.Real friends can share all our sorrows and double all our joys. While making friends, we should take care to select those who have such fine qualities. Then we should treat our friends with courtesy, be careful not to interfere unreasonably with them, and not to ridicule their proceedings. We should forgive their failures and do our best to help them.In short, when we have established friendship, we ought to cherish and treasure it by means of words and deeds.Only thus, can we develop real friendship and keep the sacred lamp of friendship burning all our life.
As the pace of life continues to increase, we are fast losing the art of relaxation.Once you are in the habit of rushing through life, being on the go from morning till night,it is hard to slow down. But relaxation is essential for a healthy mind and body.Stress is a natural part of everyday life and there is no way to avoid it.In fact, it is not the bad thing as it is often supposed to be.A certain amount of stress is vital to provide motivation and give purpose to life.It is only when the stress gets out of control can it lead to poor performance and ill health. The amount of stress a person can withstand depends very much on the individual. Some people are not afraid of stress, and such characters are obviously prime material for managerial responsibilities.Others lose heart at the first signs of unusual difficulties. When exposed to stress, in whatever form, we react both chemically and physically. In fact, we make a choice between “flight or fight”and in more primitive days the choices made the difference between life or death. The crises we meet today are unlikely to be so extreme, but however little the stress, it involves the same response. It is when such a reaction lasts long, through continued exposure to stress, that health becomes endangered.Such serious conditions as high blood pressure and heart diseases have established links with stress.Since we cannot remove stress from our lives(it would be unwise to do so even if we could), we need to find ways to deal with it.
As is vividly revealed in the drawing above, water is being wisely utilized in the daily life of a family. The good conduct is indeed praiseworthy and should be popularized in our society. The implied meaning of the drawing can be stated as follows. To begin with, to practise economy is closely related to our daily life.In terms of our clothing, food, sheltering, and transport, much work can be done to save valuable energy and natural resources such as power, water, coal, gas and so on.We, as university students, should take the wise use of paper and second-hand textbooks into consideration. What’s more, the public participation is the foundation of a society in which to practise economy is advocated and treasured.Since social environment is shaped by the general public, the cultivation of economy-practising society depends on the active involvement of every member of our society, be he old or young. In sum, our daily life should be1
permeated with the sense of practising economy and public participation should be encouraged. In my view, necessary measures should be taken so as to practise economy. On the one hand, we should launch a public campaign to help people build up the sense of practicing economy in our routine life.On the other hand, education on how to practise economy must be promoted by relevant government departments and professionals at different levels.Only in this way can we create a real economy-practising society.
Nowadays more and more people are concerned about their health. But how to keep healthy? Different people may give different answers to this question. In my opinion, it is essential to do the following.First, it is absolutely necessary to take some exercise every day.Research shows that getting plenty of exercise make the heart beat faster and the lungs work harder. This strengthens the heart, reduces the chance of heart attack, and helps lower blood pressure. That“s why more and more people are becoming active in various kinds of sports and exercises.Every morning many people get up early and take much exercise. Some practice shadowboxing and swordplay while others run, jog, walk or dance to music. In the afternoon, there are also many people keen on sports. Some play basketball or volleyball or table tennis, others go in for gymnastics or track events.Through sports and exercise, people become healthier and stronger.Medical researchers have proved that what people eat affects their health. They advise people to eat more fruit and vegetables and less meat such as beef and pork because meat contains more fat than poultry and fish.Fat can build up in the arteries, block the flow of blood, and cause a heart attack or stroke.預(yù)測(cè)主題之第六位:競(jìng)爭(zhēng)
Competition is a common phenomenon in our social life.We compete when we play games and when we try to do better than others in our study. There is constant competition for academic degrees, jobs, customers, money and so forth. In a sense, competition is one of the motive force to the development of society. In fact, the only way our world reward people is to give laurels to the winners, not to the losers. What is more, by attempting to compete at different activities, we learn to win and lose, gain experience and know our strengths and weaknesses.Competition prepares us for the tough things in life.To go ahead, to acquire possession, we should be competitive. To us, industriousness and ambition are positive values.Whether in games, in study or in business alike, the aim is to win the game, the degree, the trophy(戰(zhàn)利品), and the contract.Learning to be competitive is clearly the best preparation for life.
Some people say that the best way to raise children is to them to be independent thinkers.Other people disagree and say that children need to be taught discipline in order to let them successful. In other word, children should either be granted freedom, or be given more discipline.I tend to agree with a policy of firm discipline. The people whose view places emphasis on encouraging children to think freely hope the child will be able to understand and govern the world. The child is considered as an “equal” to the adult. This view has been popular in the western countries, where corporal punishment of children is now illegal. The concept of “rights” for children is part of a wider political movement
that also asserts right for women, animals and environment.Discipline is justified because adults are generally wiser than children.Discipline in childhood fosters(養(yǎng)育)the child for the hardship of his future life.
Confidence is power--the power to attract, persuade, influence, and succeed.Imagine what your life would be like if you had an abundance of selfconfidence!Confidence isn”t an inherited trait, it“ s a learned one. This means that you can have an abundance of self-confidence.The very first thing you have to do to create abundant self-confidence is to start thinking with confidence.Pay attention to your internal dialogue, and learn to notice when you allow negativity or doubt to control the course of your thinking.Your environment has a tremendous influence on you.The books you read, the people you spend time with, and the music you listen to all influence the way you think and feel about yourself and the world around you.If you”re in a situation where you"re discouraged, such as an unhealthy relationship or a miserable job, you have to change that situation if you want your self-confidence level to grow.Create an environment that supports you if your desire to have abundant self-confidence.Spend time with confident people.預(yù)測(cè)主題之第三位:心理
As is apparently betrayed in the bar chart above, at present university students suffer from psychological problems of various kinds, among which spiritual depression, miscellaneous problems, and suicide-committing top the list. What the chart reveals is indeed thought-provoking.The implied meaning of the chart above can be briefly stated as follows. On the one hand, university students are encountering more psychological problems than ever before. The fact can be attributed to many factors. Most university students are overloaded with study and haunted by employment pressure. As young and inexperienced people, they are also facing emotional dilemma and trial of human interrelationship.Besides, some students are in a financial predicament. On the other hand, necessary psychological work for university student is a must for the time being. It is quite shocking that at least forty percent of university students suffer from spiritual depression. The very fact should not be neglected.Effective countermeasures must be taken to reverse the current grim situation. In sum, the psychological problems should be put on our agenda. In my view, great efforts must be made so as to ensure the healthy growth of university students. To begin with, we must have a good understanding the necessity of psychological instruction and guidance among university students. What’s more, government departments at different levels and related organizations should make joint efforts to
