華裔美國加州州參議員劉云平(Ted Lieu)12日在其個(gè)人網(wǎng)站上發(fā)表聲明，要求?？怂剐侣勁_時(shí)事談話節(jié)目The Five主持人鮑勃·貝克爾為在節(jié)目中發(fā)表針對華人的種族歧視和誣蔑言論一事引咎辭職。

在10日播出的The Five節(jié)目中，當(dāng)談到誰對美國構(gòu)成威脅時(shí)，貝克爾說：“中國人是對美國國家安全的唯一最大威脅。你知道我們做了什么嗎？像往常一樣，我們把他們帶到這里，我們教一幫中國佬，呃......中國人，如何用電腦，然后他們回到中國，非法侵入我們的計(jì)算機(jī)系統(tǒng)?！?/p>

早在去年，貝克爾曾經(jīng)提起自己在游完泳之后變成了腫眼泡，他說：“搞得我像個(gè)東方人一樣?！?/p>

劉云平在聲明中說，我是一個(gè)“中國佬”、有著“東方人”的眼睛、移民到美國而且學(xué)了計(jì)算機(jī)專業(yè)。我還曾經(jīng)是美國空軍現(xiàn)役部隊(duì)的一員而且現(xiàn)在作為后備役繼續(xù)服務(wù)這個(gè)國家。今天作為一個(gè)美國人和加州州參議員，我要求貝克爾先生辭職。他說，美國的獨(dú)特之處就在于其多元化。不幸的是，鮑勃·貝克爾不明白這其中的意義。

另據(jù)中新網(wǎng)報(bào)道，劉云平痛批，貝克爾的評論超過了種族主義和愚蠢，因?yàn)樗臒o知的看法也是危險(xiǎn)的，恰恰是由于這一類極端的排外和種族主義的觀點(diǎn)，導(dǎo)致美國政府在二戰(zhàn)期間大量侵犯憲法規(guī)定的權(quán)利，強(qiáng)迫超過10萬美國人進(jìn)入集中營?！币虼耍粲?，“由于貝克爾先生的極端種族主義和排外的看法，這些是對美國人民的威脅。所以，他現(xiàn)在應(yīng)該辭職了！”
