從英文名篇“生命的追求”談英文背誦方法

有朋友問我，英文much to live for應(yīng)該如何理解呢？

我將之理解為“生命的追求”。這也是我的首篇背誦名篇的題名。后在網(wǎng)上看到有人寫了一篇短文，后半部分非常完美地引用了該文，故惠存于空間日志之中。

朋友又問，其實背誦英文名篇到底又有何用處呢？

怎么說呢，我認為背誦英文名篇和背誦古文名篇應(yīng)該有異曲同工之妙吧，自然是有很多好處的。首先精典名篇通常都是后人經(jīng)過精心挑選出來的，無論是篇中文筆還是名家思想的意境自然都無以倫比、為世人所傾，輕輕慢讀之際，既有如流動音符般的異國語言的美感，背誦的同時也是一個極佳的學(xué)習(xí)的過程。其次是名篇中不乏一些精彩的人生感悟或?qū)θ松谰暗募氈旅鑼?，值得自己深切體會。三是名篇中存在大量極佳的對偶句、平行句、排比句、對比句、虛擬句，通過學(xué)習(xí)，對自己的英文寫作水平也會有很大提升。四是通過原汁原味（而非譯文）的閱讀，還可以幫助你對不同國度、不同時代背景的作家有更深入的了解，更能深切感受作者寫作時的浪漫主義情懷以及深刻的哲學(xué)思想。當(dāng)然，還有一點是比較重要的，就是背誦的同時還可以幫助你打發(fā)一些無聊的時光，不至于讓你整晚都顯得無所事事、不學(xué)無術(shù)、游手好閑。嘿嘿！而且還可以幫助我放松老大、老二對我學(xué)習(xí)方面的念叨和監(jiān)管，讓我可以從小忙中偷得半生閑，看看小說，跑跑小步，會會朋友，游山玩水。大理想??！

朋友再問又該如何背誦英文名篇呢？還真是不恥下問了呀。但這個問題卻問得很好。

其實我也沒什么特別的方法，如果是遇到生詞，那么我會先根據(jù)它的發(fā)音規(guī)則試試發(fā)音和猜測詞義，然后再查詞典并進行糾正，然后就有了第一次的印象；其次是做好筆記，把生詞、發(fā)音以及詞義抄下來，然后就有了第二次的印象；三是朗讀，多讀幾遍，甚至幾十遍，讀到順口為止，此時便有了第三次的印象；四是整句進行默寫，通過全句來帶動對生詞的理解，然后你便有了第四次的印象。

如果此時你遇到了一個完全沒有規(guī)則或者根本無法望詞生義的特難生詞，我還有一個很笨卻很有用的方法幫助你記住它。那就是你把這個詞大聲讀上100遍，連讀邊寫，也是100遍，這個單詞就算再長你都能記住它。不過，我這里說的100遍，并不是一個比喻詞，而是一個真實的數(shù)字。邊讀邊劃“正”字也是我以前讀書時的一個笨笨方法，當(dāng)你劃滿20個正字時，就代表你已經(jīng)讀到100遍了。如果還沒效果，你還可以再念100遍！

這個方法有沒有用 此女果然沒什么遠試試就知道了，但對我卻是百試百靈的。所以可見，古人說勤能補掘，這句話其實是很有道理的。

剛才說的是生詞的記憶。那么對通常短文又該如何記憶呢。我有一個比較有意思的背誦時間，那就是我比較喜歡在洗澡前開始背誦短文，這樣就可以在沖入洗澡房后邊洗邊背了，而且通常是隨著流水的聲音非常歡快地大聲背誦，就如同平時在澡房大聲唱歌一樣，越背越起勁，越背越興奮。遇到想不起來的句子時還會自言自語罵自己幾句，再狠狠地搓幾下衣服，晃晃腦袋，果然又能再想起幾句來。洗完澡洗完衣服，通常短文都背了好幾遍了。這樣下來背誦也成了一件頗為好玩的事了。這個方法同樣適用于背誦古文或長篇詩歌。我以前就是靠這個方法背下了長恨歌和三字經(jīng)的，甚至有時也僅僅是因為背著好玩。不過這個方法只適合背一些比較有美感的短文，要是背其它就沒用了，比如政治、歷史、地理什么的。我以前歷史和政治就特別差，每次一背書就頭暈?zāi)X漲、昏昏欲睡的，所以一上歷史就看愛情小說。

呵呵，扯遠了。這只是我個人的一些學(xué)習(xí)方法吧，有心者可估且一試。
