      Good morning, everyone!

      I am Ma Haidong of the 2 class of martial arts science. It is a great honor to stand here, representing the 20xx graduates of the Institute of animal science and technology, to say goodbye to our alma mater, to teach our teachers tirelessly, to say goodbye to the classmates at sunset, and to say goodbye to this unforgettable time. First of all, let me, on behalf of all the graduates, express our heartfelt thanks and respect to all the leaders and teachers who have worked hard.

      Four years, more than 1400 days and nights, it sounds so long, and when we face today, we feel that it is so short. Some people say that time is a book that is too hasty. Now when it hastily passes, these more than 1400 nights carry too many memories. I cant forget the freshness and confusion when I entered the school. I cant forget the figure of my learning building in the teaching building. I cant forget the laughter and laughter of your bedroom, and I cant forget you and me on the sports field.       david brooks writes today that there are large class differences in parenting styles. these different parent styles may explain the continued success of the upper class. hey, this fits in very well into the parenting theme week at 11d. thanks, davey. (and thanks, jeremy, for the early morning e-mail.)

      david picks up on the work of annette lareau who finds that although working class children are more innocent and enjoy more freedom, they havent been prepared for economic success as well as upper class kids. (i have copied the whole article below the flap. take that, times select)

      the funny thing about academics is that although they are highly educated, they are poorly paid. they are socio-economic anomalies. they either reside as the poor shlubs in wealthy neighborhoods or as the weirdoes in working class towns. we’ve been the class outsiders for my whole life, and i’ve had the chance to observe both life styles closely.

      there are huge differences between the parenting styles between the upper and working class families. poor families respond less quickly to learning problems and are less aggressive with the school bureaucracy. they are less likely to verbally interact with their kids. they are less involved in homework activities. middle and upper class parents are more likely to reward independent thinking. all those factors will definitely impact on their kids’ futures.

      but i hope that brooks and his pet academic aren’t insinuating that parenting styles alone impact on a child’s economic success. way too many other factors there. poor families are also likely to live in towns with poorer schools. peers will be more troubled. the poor families will be coping with a variety of problems that make it hard to be good parents – financial stress, drug and alcohol problems, lack of health care, depression. and really smart kids can in many instances over come all that and succeed, though even the smart ones still face obstacles. i would love to know if the researchers controlled for all that.

      these parenting differences also don’t negate our obligation to helping these groups reach their potential.

      that said, i’m sure that parenting styles are one factor among many that determine a child’s socio-economic future. my kid is already on such a different path from some of his buddies from school. at six years old, their futures are already written on their faces.

      what i would like to do is to take the best parts of both parenting practices. somehow combine the respect for adults, the freedom, and the innocence of working class homes with the value for education, the aggressive independence, and confidence of the upper class. it’s a tricky line to navigate, but that’s what i’m going for.

      Cutting through complexity to find a solution runs through four predictable stages: determine a goal, find the highest-leverage approach, discover the ideal technology for that approach, and in the meantime, make the smartest application of the technology that you already have — whether it’s something sophisticated, like a drug, or something simpler, like a bednet.

      The AIDS epidemic offers an example. The broad goal, of course, is to end the disease. The highest-leverage approach is prevention. The ideal technology would be a vaccine that gives lifetime immunity with a single dose. So governments, drug companies, and foundations fund vaccine research. But their work is likely to take more than a decade, so in the meantime, we have to work with what we have in hand – and the best prevention approach we have now is getting people to avoid risky behavior.

      Pursuing that goal starts the four-step cycle again. This is the pattern. The crucial thing is to never stop thinking and working – and never do what we did with malaria and tuberculosis in the 20th century – which is to surrender to complexity and quit.

      The final step – after seeing the problem and finding an approach – is to measure the impact of your work and share your successes and failures so that others learn from your efforts.

      You have to have the statistics, of course. You have to be able to show that a program is vaccinating millions more children. You have to be able to show a decline in the number of children dying from these diseases. This is essential not just to improve the program, but also to help draw more investment from business and government.

      But if you want to inspire people to participate, you have to show more than numbers; you have to convey the human impact of the work – so people can feel what saving a life means to the families affected.

      I remember going to Davos some years back and sitting on a global health panel that was discussing ways to save millions of lives. Millions! Think of the thrill of saving just one persons life – then multiply that by millions. … Yet this was the most boring panel Ive ever been on – ever. So boring even I couldnt bear it.

      What made that experience especially striking was that I had just come from an event where we were introducing version 13 of some piece of software, and we had people jumping and shouting with excitement. I love getting people excited about software – but why cant we generate even more excitement for saving lives?

      You cant get people excited unless you can help them see and feel the impact. And how you do that – is a complex question.

      Still, Im optimistic. Yes, inequity has been with us forever, but the new tools we have to cut through complexity have not been with us forever. They are new – they can help us make the most of our caring – and thats why the future can be different from the past.

      The defining and ongoing innovations of this age – biotechnology, the computer, the Internet – give us a chance we’ve never had before to end extreme poverty and end death from preventable disease.

      Sixty years ago, George Marshall came to this commencement and announced a plan to assist the nations of post-war Europe. He said: “I think one difficulty is that the problem is one of such enormous complexity that the very mass of facts presented to the public by press and radio make it exceedingly difficult for the man in the street to reach a clear appraisement of the situation. It is virtually impossible at this distance to grasp at all the real significance of the situation.”

      Thirty years after Marshall made his address, as my class graduated without me, technology was emerging that would make the world smaller, more open, more visible, less distant.

      The emergence of low-cost personal computers gave rise to a powerful network that has transformed opportunities for learning and communicating.

      The magical thing about this network is not just that it collapses distance and makes everyone your neighbor. It also dramatically increases the number of brilliant minds we can have working together on the same problem – and that scales up the rate of innovation to a staggering degree.

      At the same time, for every person in the world who has access to this technology, five people dont. That means many creative minds are left out of this discussion -- smart people with practical intelligence and relevant experience who dont have the technology to hone their talents or contribute their ideas to the world.

      We need as many people as possible to have access to this technology, because these advances are triggering a revolution in what human beings can do for one another. They are making it possible not just for national governments, but for universities, corporations, smaller organizations, and even individuals to see problems, see approaches, and measure the impact of their efforts to address the hunger, poverty, and desperation George Marshall spoke of 60 years ago.

      Members of the Harvard Family: Here in the Yard is one of the great collections of intellectual talent in the world.

      What for?

      There is no question that the faculty, the alumni, the students, and the benefactors of Harvard have used their power to improve the lives of people here and around the world. But can we do more? Can Harvard dedicate its intellect to improving the lives of people who will never even hear its name?

      Let me make a request of the deans and the professors – the intellectual leaders here at Harvard: As you hire new faculty, award tenure, review curriculum, and determine degree requirements, please ask yourselves:

      Should our best minds be dedicated to solving our biggest problems?

      Should Harvard encourage its faculty to take on the worlds worst inequities? Should Harvard students learn about the depth of global poverty … the prevalence of world hunger … the scarcity of clean water …the girls kept out of school … the children who die from diseases we can cure?

      Should the worlds most privileged people learn about the lives of the worlds least privileged?

      These are not rhetorical questions – you will answer with your policies.

      My mother, who was filled with pride the day I was admitted here – never stopped pressing me to do more for others. A few days before my wedding, she hosted a bridal event, at which she read aloud a letter about marriage that she had written to Melinda. My mother was very ill with cancer at the time, but she saw one more opportunity to deliver her message, and at the close of the letter she said: “From those to whom much is given, much is expected.”

      When you consider what those of us here in this Yard have been given – in talent, privilege, and opportunity – there is almost no limit to what the world has a right to expect from us.

      In line with the promise of this age, I want to exhort each of the graduates here to take on an issue – a complex problem, a deep inequity, and become a specialist on it. If you make it the focus of your career, that would be phenomenal. But you dont have to do that to make an impact. For a few hours every week, you can use the growing power of the Internet to get informed, find others with the same interests, see the barriers, and find ways to cut through them.

      Dont let complexity stop you. Be activists. Take on the big inequities. It will be one of the great experiences of your lives.

      You graduates are coming of age in an amazing time. As you leave Harvard, you have technology that members of my class never had. You have awareness of global inequity, which we did not have. And with that awareness, you likely also have an informed conscience that will torment you if you abandon these people whose lives you could change with very little effort. You have more than we had; you must start sooner, and carry on longer.

      Knowing what you know, how could you not?

      And I hope you will come back here to Harvard 30 years from now and reflect on what you have done with your talent and your energy. I hope you will judge yourselves not on your professional accomplishments alone, but also on how well you have addressed the worlds deepest inequities … on how well you treated people a world away who have nothing in common with you but their humanity.

      i am honored to be with you today at your commencement from one of the finest universities in the world.i never graduated from college.truth be told, this is the closest i've ever gotten to a college graduation.today i want to tell you three stories from my life.that's it.no big deal.just three stories.the first story is about connecting the dots.i dropped out of reed college after the first 6 months, but then stayed around as a drop-in for another 18 months or so before i really quit.so why did i drop out?

      it started before i was born.my biological mother was a young, unwed college graduate student, and she decided to put me up for adoption.she felt very strongly that i should be adopted by college graduates, so everything was all set for me to be adopted at birth by a lawyer and his wife.except that when i popped out they decided at the last minute that they really wanted a girl.so my parents, who were on a waiting list, got a call in the middle of the night asking: “we have an unexpected baby boy;do you want him?” they said: “of course.” my biological mother later found out that my mother had never graduated from college and that my father had never graduated from high school.she refused to sign the final adoption papers.she only relented a few months later when my parents promised that i would someday go to college.and 17 years later i did go to college.but i naively chose a college that was almost as expensive as stanford, and all of my working-class parents' savings were being spent on my college tuition.after six months, i couldn't see the value in it.i had no idea what i wanted to do with my life and no idea how college was going to help me figure it out.and here i was spending all of the money my parents had saved their entire life.so i decided to drop out and trust that it would all work out ok.it was pretty scary at the time, but looking back it was one of the best decisions i ever made.the minute i dropped out i could stop taking the required classes that didn't interest me, and begin dropping in on the ones that looked interesting.it wasn't all romantic.i didn't have a dorm room, so i slept on the floor in friends' rooms, i returned coke bottles for the 5 deposits to buy food with, and i would walk the 7 miles across town every sunday night to get one good meal a week at the hare krishna temple.i loved it.and much of what i stumbled into by following my curiosity and intuition turned out to be priceless later on.let me give you one example: reed college at that time offered perhaps the best calligraphy instruction in the country.throughout the campus every poster, every label on every drawer, was beautifully hand calligraphed.because i had dropped out and didn't have to take the normal classes, i decided to take a calligraphy class to learn how to do this.i learned about serif and san serif typefaces, about varying the amount of space between different letter combinations, about what makes great typography great.it was beautiful, historical, artistically subtle in a way that science can't capture, and i found it fascinating.none of this had even a hope of any practical application in my life.but ten years later, when we were designing the first macintosh computer, it all came back to me.and we designed it all into the mac.it was the first computer with beautiful typography.if i had never dropped in on that single course in college, the mac would have never had multiple typefaces or proportionally spaced fonts.and since windows just copied the mac, its likely that no personal computer would have them.if i had never dropped out, i would have never dropped in on this calligraphy class, and personal computers might not have the wonderful typography that they do.of course it was impossible to connect the dots looking forward when i was in college.but it was very, very clear looking backwards ten years later.again, you can't connect the dots looking forward;you can only connect them looking backwards.so you have to trust that the dots will somehow connect in your future.you have to trust in somethingthe macintoshthat i had dropped the baton as it was being passed to me.i met with david packard and bob noyce and tried to apologize for screwing up so badly.i was a very public failure, and i even thought about running away from the valley.but something slowly began to dawn on me – i still loved what i did.the turn of events at apple had not changed that one bit.i had been rejected, but i was still in love.and so i decided to start over.i didn't see it then, but it turned out that getting fired from apple was the best thing that could have ever happened to me.the heaviness of being successful was replaced by the lightness of being a beginner again, less sure about everything.it freed me to enter one of the most creative periods of my life.during the next five years, i started a company named next, another company named pixar, and fell in love with an amazing woman who would become my wife.pixar went on to create the worlds first computer animated feature film, toy story, and is now the most successful animation studio in the world.in a remarkable turn of events, apple bought next, i retuned to apple, and the technology we developed at next is at the heart of apple's current renaissance.and laurene and i have a wonderful family together.i'm pretty sure none of this would have happened if i hadn't been fired from apple.it was awful tasting medicine, but i guess the patient needed it.sometimes life hits you in the head with a brick.don't lose faith.i'm convinced that the only thing that kept me going was that i loved what i did.you've got to find what you love.and that is as true for your work as it is for your lovers.your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work.and the only way to do great work is to love what you do.if you haven't found it yet, keep looking.don't settle.as with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it.and, like any great relationship, it just gets better and better as the years roll on.so keep looking until you find it.don't settle.my third story is about death.when i was 17, i read a quote that went something like: “if you live each day as if it was your last, someday you'll most certainly be right.” it made an impression on me, and since then, for the past 33 years, i have looked in the mirror every morning and asked myself: "if today were the last day of

      作為一名語(yǔ)文老師,我想在此和大家說(shuō)說(shuō)學(xué)習(xí)語(yǔ)文的重要性。語(yǔ)文不但是人們?cè)谌粘I钪薪涣鞯幕竟ぞ?,而且是進(jìn)行一切學(xué)術(shù)研究的基礎(chǔ)。對(duì)此,我國(guó)著名數(shù)學(xué)家華羅庚和蘇步青的觀點(diǎn)非常有說(shuō)服力。華羅庚認(rèn)為:“要打好基礎(chǔ),不管學(xué)文科學(xué)理科,都要學(xué)好語(yǔ)文。因?yàn)檎Z(yǔ)文天生就重要。不會(huì)說(shuō)話,不會(huì)寫(xiě)文章,行之不遠(yuǎn),存之不久?!碧K步青曾說(shuō):“如果允許復(fù)旦大學(xué)單獨(dú)招生,我的意見(jiàn)是第一堂先考語(yǔ)文,考后就改試卷。不合格的,其他的科目就不必考了。語(yǔ)文你都不行,別的是學(xué)不通的?!?/p>

      我再給大家打一個(gè)比方:語(yǔ)文對(duì)于其他學(xué)科來(lái)說(shuō),就像跑步對(duì)于整個(gè)體育運(yùn)動(dòng)一樣。表面上看,跑步往往給人簡(jiǎn)單、含金量不高的印象,似乎并不需要太多的技巧,不像足球、籃球那樣精彩,也不如體操、跳水那樣專(zhuān)業(yè)。但實(shí)際上,跑步對(duì)體能和技巧都有很高的要求,并且是其他體育運(yùn)動(dòng)得以進(jìn)行和出色表現(xiàn)的關(guān)鍵。說(shuō)白了,跑步跑不好,足球、籃球你搶不過(guò)人家,跑步跑不好,體操、跳水你沒(méi)有爆發(fā)力。所以,跑步是整個(gè)體育運(yùn)動(dòng)的基礎(chǔ),語(yǔ)文是所有學(xué)科的基礎(chǔ)??梢?jiàn)學(xué)好語(yǔ)文是多么的重要!

      我在開(kāi)學(xué)典禮上講過(guò)話,那場(chǎng)合的心情是收獲的興高采烈。畢業(yè)送行是什么心情呢?十分復(fù)雜,百感交集。如同送女兒出嫁,有各得其所的欣慰,依依不舍的親情;還有學(xué)生出師的如釋重負(fù),有兒行千里的母擔(dān)憂,還有開(kāi)閘放水的暢快、送部隊(duì)出征的激昂??傊?,悲悲喜喜那都是老師們的事,諸君只管滿懷豪情地出發(fā)吧!

      昨天晚上,我夢(mèng)見(jiàn)了祖籍開(kāi)封、在開(kāi)封講學(xué),收了程顥程頤為學(xué)生的張載,委托我給大家贈(zèng)送四句話:“為天地立心,為生民立命,為往圣繼絕學(xué),為萬(wàn)世開(kāi)太平。”他的宋代口音是不是很難聽(tīng)懂?好吧,我用當(dāng)代話重復(fù)一遍,那就是:探討自然與社會(huì)的基本規(guī)律,為民眾摸索出一條共同遵行的大道,繼承優(yōu)良的傳統(tǒng)文化,為后世開(kāi)辟永久太平的基業(yè)。概括而言,就是探索精神,擔(dān)當(dāng)精神,奉獻(xiàn)精神,使命精神。很高大上嗎?不,這只是讀書(shū)人本份而已。

      俗話說(shuō):師傅領(lǐng)進(jìn)門(mén),修行靠個(gè)人。今天我要加上一句:師傅送出門(mén),母校伴終身!人生路上,母校已經(jīng)給各位交納了首付,以后房貸的月供就靠自己了,努力工作,多多掙錢(qián)是必須的,實(shí)在不行了,回來(lái)充充電(值)。我當(dāng)然希望看到你們成功、發(fā)財(cái),更希望看到你們高興,哪怕是傻高興。

      尊敬的校長(zhǎng)、各位老師、各位家長(zhǎng)、親愛(ài)的同學(xué)們:

      大家早上好!

      今天我踏上校車(chē)時(shí),突然意識(shí)到這將是我作為小學(xué)生,最后一次乘搭滬江維多利亞學(xué)校(VSA)的校車(chē)了。校巴上一如既往熙熙攘攘。同學(xué)們有的嘰嘰喳喳說(shuō)笑,有的竊竊私語(yǔ),還有的討論著學(xué)社之間的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)。我的心情既不舍又激動(dòng)。我不舍得離開(kāi)可愛(ài)可親的老師們,不舍得離開(kāi)幫助我、包容我的同學(xué),不舍得總是在耳邊叮囑我們“善待他人,善待自己”的校長(zhǎng)。

      三年前,我首次踏上VSA的校車(chē)時(shí),緊張得心都絞成一團(tuán)。那時(shí)候,我剛剛從上海轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)到香港。我很擔(dān)心只會(huì)說(shuō)普通話的自己在新學(xué)校找不到朋友,我很擔(dān)心會(huì)在偌大的校園里迷路,我很擔(dān)心不能跟上繁體字的教學(xué)。后來(lái)我才發(fā)現(xiàn),這些擔(dān)心都是多余的。VSA非常尊重不同的文化,要求學(xué)生了解文化的差異,鼓勵(lì)我們和不同文化的人進(jìn)行交流。在這種文化融合的氣氛下,我不僅很快適應(yīng)了新的生活,還成為了學(xué)社的社長(zhǎng),圓滿完成了小學(xué)學(xué)習(xí)。今天我要借這個(gè)機(jī)會(huì)來(lái)感謝校長(zhǎng)、老師和同學(xué)們。

      三年前,我們牽著爸爸、媽媽的手,邁著蹣跚的腳步走進(jìn)幼兒園的大門(mén)。眼前的一切是那樣的陌生和新奇!只有老師和藹的笑臉讓我感到溫暖和熟悉,因?yàn)槲覌寢屢策@樣對(duì)著我微笑!

      我是廈門(mén)大學(xué)xx學(xué)院XX級(jí)博士研究生xxx,非常榮幸能夠代表自然科學(xué)學(xué)部的全體畢業(yè)生在這隆重的畢業(yè)典禮上發(fā)言。

      與廈大結(jié)緣始于XX年,除去一年的工作時(shí)間,廈大始終是我生活的重心。六年的廈大學(xué)習(xí)時(shí)光沉淀了太多值得回味的故事和情景,忘不了那絢爛至極的鳳凰花,忘不了那沁心幽遠(yuǎn)的芙蓉湖,更忘不了行走在樹(shù)下、湖畔的身影。這其中,有你也有我。我們或在忙碌緊張地準(zhǔn)備著實(shí)驗(yàn),或在進(jìn)進(jìn)出出翻閱著資料,或在實(shí)驗(yàn)室、食堂和宿舍之間來(lái)回穿梭……我們流過(guò)眼淚,卻伴著歡笑,我們踏過(guò)荊棘,也收獲碩果。老師們的諄諄教誨、同學(xué)間的無(wú)私幫助,讓我們?cè)凇白詮?qiáng)不息,止于至善”校訓(xùn)的浸潤(rùn)下不斷成長(zhǎng)。

      在廈大的六年,作為一名理科生,我親身感受到了廈大自然科學(xué)的發(fā)展與壯大,見(jiàn)證了本部樓群的煥然一新,我們的實(shí)驗(yàn)設(shè)備越來(lái)越先進(jìn),我們的學(xué)習(xí)環(huán)境越來(lái)越優(yōu)越。從最初院系之間的各自為政到現(xiàn)今大學(xué)部的形成,從最初南方之強(qiáng)的地位到現(xiàn)今向世界知名研究型大學(xué)邁進(jìn)的目標(biāo)。我們欣喜不已,我們責(zé)任在肩。

      自然科學(xué)貴在探索,但我們從未止步于探索。芙蓉湖畔我們悉心聆聽(tīng)大師的諄諄教導(dǎo),白城邊上我們共同探討自然科學(xué)的奧妙。我們注重理論探索,我們也注重實(shí)際應(yīng)用;我們關(guān)心實(shí)驗(yàn)結(jié)果,我們更關(guān)心地球和生命。

      今天,我們?cè)谶@里隆重舉行北京交通大學(xué)20xx屆畢業(yè)典禮暨學(xué)位授予儀式。在此,我首先代表學(xué)校,向全體畢業(yè)生致以最熱烈的祝賀,向辛勤培育你們成長(zhǎng)的父母、老師致以最崇高的敬意!今天,因?yàn)閷W(xué)校條件的限制,許多同學(xué)無(wú)法在典禮主會(huì)場(chǎng)就座,為此,我向你們表示歉意,謝謝你們的理解、支持與包容!

      同學(xué)們,今天你們畢業(yè)了,這是你們?nèi)松凶钪匾臅r(shí)刻之一。對(duì)我而言,今年也是一個(gè)非常特殊的年份,作為改革開(kāi)放后的第一屆大學(xué)生,今年恰逢高考恢復(fù)40周年,非常榮幸作為那屆考生和今天的校長(zhǎng)站在這里,為畢業(yè)生同學(xué)們送上祝福。此時(shí)此刻,你們充滿自信與期待的眼神,使我不由想起你們剛?cè)胄r(shí)的青澀與懵懂。你們的成長(zhǎng)、成熟,正是大學(xué)生活賦予你們的最寶貴的財(cái)富。這也使我想起40年來(lái),自己在這所學(xué)校學(xué)習(xí)、工作所經(jīng)歷的成長(zhǎng)與變化,想起在一代代交大畢業(yè)生身上所彰顯的品質(zhì)和精神。

      所以,我想在今天這個(gè)特殊的時(shí)刻,與大家聊一聊「初心」這個(gè)話題,希望對(duì)你們的未來(lái)有所幫助與啟發(fā)。

      于學(xué)校而言,初心就是恪守大學(xué)之道、培養(yǎng)一流人才、建設(shè)世界一流大學(xué)。一個(gè)多世紀(jì)以前,我們的母校為培養(yǎng)“鐵路救國(guó)”的管理人才而誕生,1的時(shí)間里,雖然校名屢經(jīng)更迭、校址多次變遷,但學(xué)校辦學(xué)從未中斷,一批又一批和你們一樣的優(yōu)秀學(xué)子從母校走向社會(huì),成為國(guó)之棟梁與骨干。去年,我們共同分享了學(xué)校120周年華誕的榮光與喜悅,見(jiàn)證了歷經(jīng)三個(gè)世紀(jì)交大精神的傳承與創(chuàng)新,希望這些能成為你們大學(xué)生涯中永恒的記憶。

      于我而言,初心就是忠誠(chéng)教育科研事業(yè),為國(guó)家、行業(yè)發(fā)展貢獻(xiàn)力量。40年前,恢復(fù)高考的春風(fēng)使我幸運(yùn)地成為了學(xué)校1977級(jí)的一名新生。當(dāng)我第一次走進(jìn)紅果園,迎面而來(lái)的是一條橫幅——“歡迎你,鐵路事業(yè)未來(lái)的建設(shè)者”。這句話深深印入了我的腦海。此后,無(wú)論是讀書(shū)、科研還是走上學(xué)校管理者的崗位,母校的期望始終激勵(lì)著我,矢志不渝地奮戰(zhàn)在科技創(chuàng)新和教書(shū)育人的戰(zhàn)場(chǎng)。

      那么,同學(xué)們,你們有沒(méi)有認(rèn)真思考過(guò),你們的初心是什么呢?當(dāng)經(jīng)歷了這幾年大學(xué)生活的洗禮,你們的初心是否發(fā)生了改變?從今往后,當(dāng)身處社會(huì),面對(duì)比大學(xué)校園復(fù)雜百倍的環(huán)境、嚴(yán)峻百倍的挑戰(zhàn),你們又能否不忘初心、繼續(xù)前行呢?

      也許你們會(huì)有疑問(wèn),什么才是自己的初心?那就讓我們一起來(lái)回憶以往的歲月:

      初心,源于追逐夢(mèng)想的決心

      數(shù)年前,你們意氣風(fēng)發(fā)地開(kāi)啟大學(xué)生涯,心中一定充滿夢(mèng)想與期待——有讀書(shū)報(bào)國(guó)的宏大志向,有出人頭地的自我期許,有成家立業(yè)的現(xiàn)實(shí)想法,有“讀萬(wàn)卷書(shū)行萬(wàn)里路”的美好愿望。但是,當(dāng)時(shí)光流轉(zhuǎn),你們是不是漸漸丟掉了當(dāng)初的豪情壯志、開(kāi)始把所有的理想信仰當(dāng)成口號(hào)?你們是不是漸漸失去了奮斗意志,開(kāi)始把得過(guò)且過(guò)作為日常生活的主題?

      此時(shí)此刻,面對(duì)即將開(kāi)啟的人生新篇,希望你們能堅(jiān)定自己的理想與抱負(fù),重拾自己的激情與斗志,涵養(yǎng)宏大格局、樹(shù)立家國(guó)情懷、強(qiáng)化責(zé)任擔(dān)當(dāng),從行業(yè)和區(qū)域的發(fā)展、國(guó)家的進(jìn)步、人類(lèi)的命運(yùn)來(lái)思考與謀劃未來(lái)的人生??梢灶A(yù)見(jiàn),未來(lái)的人生路一定會(huì)充滿考驗(yàn)與挑戰(zhàn),你們的夢(mèng)想會(huì)一次又一次看上去遙不可及,但請(qǐng)你們一定不要放棄,一定要保有那份追逐夢(mèng)想的自信和決心。心中有夢(mèng)、不斷奮進(jìn),這才是北京交大人應(yīng)有的人生態(tài)度。

      初心,源于勤勉實(shí)干的恒心

      你們初入校園時(shí),按時(shí)上課、認(rèn)真作業(yè)、堅(jiān)持自習(xí)、規(guī)律作息。你們一絲不茍地焊過(guò)很多電板、測(cè)量過(guò)很多校園的路、在天橋上數(shù)過(guò)很多車(chē),并把這些單調(diào)的實(shí)驗(yàn)過(guò)程作為寶貴的學(xué)習(xí)機(jī)會(huì)。但是,當(dāng)時(shí)光流轉(zhuǎn),你們是不是漸漸把“容易通過(guò)”作為選課的主要標(biāo)準(zhǔn),把“不怕查重”作為對(duì)論文的唯一要求?是不是一面在《王者榮耀》的排名中相互追趕,一面給下滑的GPA找各種理由?是不是一面在深夜的聚會(huì)中神采飛揚(yáng),一面在早晨的課堂上昏昏欲睡?

      未來(lái),你們無(wú)論是讀書(shū)深造還是干事創(chuàng)業(yè),都應(yīng)當(dāng)始終保持積極進(jìn)取的心態(tài),用堅(jiān)持不懈的奮斗與拼搏創(chuàng)造人生價(jià)值。堅(jiān)持奮斗必然會(huì)有更多的辛苦與疲累,但那絕不應(yīng)該成為你們松懈和放棄的理由。“世界上只有一種真正的英雄主義,那就是在認(rèn)識(shí)生活的真相后依然熱愛(ài)生活。” 踏實(shí)努力、知行合一,這是校訓(xùn)賦予我們的寶貴品質(zhì),你們要做 “知行”校訓(xùn)的踐行者,把北京交大人的務(wù)實(shí)品質(zhì)與奮斗精神代代傳承下去。

      初心,源于敬畏規(guī)則的誠(chéng)心

      曾經(jīng),你們會(huì)因散訓(xùn)而日日早起,會(huì)因形教課時(shí)常關(guān)注時(shí)事,會(huì)因月考制度而養(yǎng)成定期復(fù)習(xí)的習(xí)慣——你們嚴(yán)肅并虔誠(chéng)地對(duì)待這些學(xué)習(xí)、生活上的要求,是因?yàn)槟銈冎肋@是必須遵守的規(guī)則。但是,當(dāng)時(shí)光流轉(zhuǎn),你們恪守原則的定力是不是越來(lái)越弱,追求捷徑的愿望是不是越來(lái)越強(qiáng)?你們是不是已經(jīng)習(xí)慣室友幫忙答到、作業(yè)東借西抄,甚至對(duì)學(xué)術(shù)道德與誠(chéng)信有僥幸的心理,而忘記了這些都屬于違反規(guī)則的行為?

      對(duì)規(guī)則的尊重與遵守,是一個(gè)人融入社會(huì)的基礎(chǔ)。你們經(jīng)歷了多年的寒窗苦讀,應(yīng)成為各行各業(yè)的中堅(jiān),但如果你們因一時(shí)利益的誘惑而失去原則與底線,人生前進(jìn)的航向就將出現(xiàn)偏離?!叭耍杂?,卻又無(wú)往不在枷鎖之中”,只有學(xué)會(huì)在規(guī)則中生存、在秩序中前行,才能真正走向成功。希望未來(lái)的人生路上,你們都能耐得住寂寞、扛得住誘惑、管得住小節(jié),做一個(gè)堂堂正正、自省自律的交大人。

      初心,源于忠于自我的真心

      青春的你們,擁有張揚(yáng)的個(gè)性和純真的情感。你們會(huì)為了心愛(ài)的人在嘉園樓下大聲呼喊,會(huì)為了冬天消失的明湖神獸擔(dān)心不已,會(huì)因?yàn)槔辖淌趦A畢生所有設(shè)立獎(jiǎng)學(xué)金的事跡而感動(dòng)落淚,會(huì)因?yàn)樯鐣?huì)中出現(xiàn)不公平、不公正現(xiàn)象而義憤填膺。但是,當(dāng)時(shí)光流轉(zhuǎn),你們是不是漸漸收起了自己的真誠(chéng)、壓抑了本有的個(gè)性?你們言不由衷的話是不是越來(lái)越多,發(fā)自肺腑的笑是不是越來(lái)越少?你們是不是越來(lái)越不喜歡表達(dá)自己的觀點(diǎn),更樂(lè)于做一個(gè)隨波逐流的“吃瓜群眾”?

      當(dāng)你們走入社會(huì),可能會(huì)見(jiàn)識(shí)更多的人情世故,可能會(huì)被歲月磨平棱角,因失敗而自我懷疑。但是,你們一定要永遠(yuǎn)保持獨(dú)立思考、不懈奮斗的精神,把張揚(yáng)的個(gè)性轉(zhuǎn)變?yōu)槿烁竦莫?dú)立與健全,把純真的情感轉(zhuǎn)化為內(nèi)心的豐盈與善良,合格地扮演人生中的各種角色?!扒Ы倘f(wàn)教、教人求真,千學(xué)萬(wàn)學(xué)、學(xué)做真人”,希望你們能夠在人云亦云時(shí)表達(dá)自己的不同觀點(diǎn),能夠在人生不易時(shí)保留做人的錚錚風(fēng)骨。
