在英語(yǔ)中，一些句型要求句中的動(dòng)詞必須使用一定的時(shí)態(tài)，為了便于理解和掌握，現(xiàn)將常用過(guò)去時(shí)態(tài)的固定句型歸納如下 ：

1． It’s(high)time sb did sth表示“正是某人做某事的時(shí)候”，要用一般過(guò)去時(shí)。如：

It’s(high)time we had supper.我們?cè)摮酝盹埩恕?． It is /has been…since…表示“自從…以來(lái)…”,since之前用一般現(xiàn)在時(shí)或現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)，since后用一般過(guò)去時(shí)；若since前用一般過(guò)去時(shí)或過(guò)去完成時(shí)，則since后用過(guò)去完成時(shí)。如：

It is(has been)two years since he died.他已去世兩年了。

He said it was four days since he had come here.他說(shuō)他來(lái)這兒已四天了。3． …was/were doing sth.When …did sth表示“正在做某事，這時(shí)突然…”，前面用過(guò)去進(jìn)行時(shí)，后面用一般過(guò)去時(shí)。如：

I was playing a computer game when there was a knock at the door.我在玩電腦游戲，這時(shí)有人敲門。

4．No sooner…than…./hardly…when…表示“一（剛）…就…”，than/when前用過(guò)去完成時(shí),than/when后用一般過(guò)去時(shí).如：

I had no sooner got home than she made me cook the supper.我一到家，她就讓我做晚飯。She had hardly come back when she would see me.她一回來(lái)，就來(lái)看我。若No sooner或hardly提前，則采用倒裝語(yǔ)序。

No sooner/Hardly had the child seen me than/when he ran away.那小孩一見到我，就跑開了。
