At dusk，the weather became colder while the sky was gray，and the cold wind was blowing strongly.It seemed that it was going to snow soon.A moment later，the snowflakes began to fall quietly.Soon the land before my eyes was all white，like a beautiful blanket.Then it snowed more and more heavily.The trees were all covered with white quilts.The whole city became a silver world.The next morning，it stopped snowing and cleared up.I went into the yard.Looking far away，I saw a beautiful silver white world.A group of children were playing happily.Some were throwing snowballs to each other，others were making a snowman.Snow seemed to bring us warm and wishes.Cold as it was，nobaby felt cold in the white world.I love snow，because it is pure white.It brings us hope and vigour.雪黃昏，天氣變冷，天空變成灰色，冷風(fēng)強勁地吹著。似乎很快就要下雪了。

The very stealth, the eerie quietness, of the thing makes it more magical.Ifall the snow fell at once in one shattering crash, awakening us in the middle of the night the event would be robbed of its wonder.But it flutters down, soundless, hour after hour while we are asleep.Outside the closed curtains of the bedroom a vast transfbrmation scene is takiag place, just as if a myriad elves and brownies were at work, and we turn and yawn and stretch and know nothing about it.And then, what an extraordinary change it is!It is as if the house continent.Even the inside, which has not been touched, seems different, every room appearing smaller and cosier, just as if some power were trying to turn it into a woodcutter’s hut or a snug logcabin.Outside, where the garden was yesterday, there is now a white and glistening level, and the village beyond is no longer your own familiar cluster of roofs but a village in an old German fairy-tale.You would not be surprised to learn that all the people there, the speetacled postmistress, the cobbler, the retired school master, and the rest, had suffered a change too and had become queer elvish beings, purveyors of invisible caps and magic shoes.You yourselves do not feel quite the same people you were yesterday.How could you not when so much has been changed? There is a curious stir, a little shiver of excite-ment, troubling the house, not unlike the feeling there is abroad when a journey has to be made.The children, of course, are all excitement but even the adults hang about and talk to one another longer than usual before setting down to the day’s work.Nobody can resist the windows.It is like being on board a ship.

剛出門，便撲面而來一大片晶瑩雪白的冰涼。冷氣襲來，肌膚陣陣戰(zhàn)栗，而內(nèi)心卻溫暖如初。覺得自己似乎能發(fā)熱，因而渴望在這寒冷中長時間的佇足。這是一個大自然與你交流的日子。我深深地吸了一口氣，靜聽雪花飄落，源源不絕

漫步雪中，舉目四顧，我努力思索是什么竟然能夠把這一天變得如此美麗和寧靜。那一刻，時間仿佛停止了，而我也定在其中?；蛘撸挥形乙粋€人在前行

無論如何，這種孤寂卻令人欣慰。我仿佛脫離了塵世。坐在路邊，仔細(xì)聆聽。只有風(fēng)從頭頂掠過，卷走幾碼遠(yuǎn)的干枯樹葉。在我心中，這是大自然給人安慰、令人難忘的聲音。

我實在記不得我要往何處去了！注釋：1．Shimmering：shimmering是一個動名詞，它的動詞形式是shimmer，表示閃光、閃亮等意思。Moonlight shimmering on the lake(湖上月光閃爍)。shimmer也可做名詞，如：the shimmer of pearls(珍珠的閃光)。在這里shimmering翻譯成晶瑩的，用來形容雪花。2．Overwhelm：征服、使受不了。想想看，當(dāng)寒冷overwhelm你時，你皮膚的反應(yīng)會是什么呢？戰(zhàn)栗唄。3．Give off：發(fā)出的意思，give off a bad smell(發(fā)出惡臭)。Give thick smoke off(冒出濃煙)。4．Solitude：有孤單、寂寞、獨居、隱居等意思。我們都知道lonely是孤獨的的意思，它表示一種令人難受的孤獨。而solitude有時是一種美好的感覺，要不怎么會有那么多人隱居呢？5．Curb：路緣、路邊的意思。6．Flurry：小陣雪。7．Flake：松軟薄片，a flake of snow(一片雪花)。Fall in flakes(一片一片地落下)。8．Cling ：cling(to)的意思是粘著、纏著，the mud clung to her shoes(泥漿粘在她的鞋上)。9．Reverie：幻想、沉思，如：Have a reverie about the delicious nuts.(幻想著美味果仁)。Be lost in reverie（陷入沉思）。

今年的冬天特別冷，每個地方都連下暴風(fēng)雪，聽說是50年難遇。而我們臺州就是不下雪，我每天都是盼星星，盼月亮，盼著快點下場雪。

終于把雪盼來了，起先是一點一點的，接著紛紛揚揚越下越大。我想留點雪做紀(jì)念，于是我跑到廚房去拿臉盆。

媽媽奇怪的問：你拿臉盆做什么？

接雪。

用臉盆不如用雨傘來得多媽媽說。

我覺得媽媽說的有理，于是我又開始找雨傘。爸爸看見了也奇怪的問：你在找什么。

找雨傘接雪

小傻瓜，這么小的雪是接不住的，等你接住了它馬上就會化成水了爸爸說。我聽了又覺得有道理，干脆啥也不做，直直的站在門口望著雪一片片的從空中飄落，就象浮萍靠不到岸。一直下到晚上，明天早上就起來堆雪人啦。正當(dāng)我把著如意算盤的時候，雪停了。

這次的雪不大，但是也看見久違的雪，我十分滿足了。
