Ours is regarded as a very competitive society, yet a lot of undertakings call for cooperation.How should we understand the relationship between competition and cooperation?

Let’s illustrate this with a football team.Everyone on the team works hard and strives to be the best player.He will fully use of his own advantages to catch up with and surpass the others.At the same time, everyone should cooperate with the others and work together to win the game.A team good at individual skills but poor in teamwork can never win a game.While competition helps enhance individual abilities, cooperation helps bring individual ablities to full play, make up for each other’s inadequacy and enhance the overall quality of the parties invoved.Competition without cooperation may be good to only a few people but harmful to society as a whole;cooperation without competition may bring about a peaceful life to all but destroy individual’s initiative and eventually affect social development.A sound interaction of competition and cooperation promotes each other, thus advancing the development of the whole society.As a matter of fact, it is in this way that our society has achieved today’s prosperity.Let’s compete in the spirit of cooperation and cooperate on the basis of competition.
