Hamlet written by William Shakespeare.Hamlet hurried back the home from Germany to attend his father’s funeral, but he didn’t catch up with father’s funeral, actually witnessed his mother and his uncle Claudius’ wedding ceremony, which caused Hamlet more upset.One night Hamlet met his father’s ghost in the royal palace castle and the king told his that all these were uncle Hamlet’s behavior, and wanted his to revenge for the father.Hamlet was puzzled and hesitated, he couldn’t judge whether it was true or not, it is such a big hit for him that he hardly stand, furthermore, he feared that Claudius would know the inside story, so he pretended to go crazy and began to think how to revenge.To confirm the ghost words and his own suspicion, Hamlet get one chance to demand some players to show a murder case which was similar to his father’s death, noticed uncle Claudius’s reflecting.As expected, Claudius went away furiously while the play was still on.Hamlet could have killed Claudius when he was praying for his evil, but he was hesitated because of humanism.Claudius let the queen have a talk with Hamlet to find out that he had known the truth, but he worried that she would be partial to her son and ordered Polonius who was his minister to eavesdrop on their talking.Hamlet mistaken Polonius as his uncle and killed him.Claudius feared Hamlet would threat him, so he sent Hamlet to England and where he would be executed, but Hamlet exposed his conspiracy and back home safely.Laerles who is Polonius’s son wanted revenge for his father, Claudius exploited him and suggested a duel between Laerles and Hamlet where the king will offer Hamlet a poisoned goblet, but the queen accidentally poisoned herself.Both duelists wounded by poisoned sword.Laertes reveals the true plot before he died, and Hamlet killed Claudius and he was also died finally.My comment on the root of the tragedy

The main reason is that the reactionary force was too strong.Hamlet was the representative of the few persons who had advanced thought at that time, he fight with the evil force like Claudius, which reflected the minority person who long to a wonderful life tried to fight with the feudal force during the renaissance.The limitation of humanism that Hamlet represented.Humanism encouraged personality liberation while it was very confused for Hamlet to face the confliction between ideology and reality, so he couldn’t kill his uncle when he was praying and repenting.He also grieved for his unequal treatment from both spirit and physical.Fighting alone was another reason of the tragedy.Hamlet separated himself from the other people, he behaved and thought by himself, besides, he couldn’t burden and got rid of some old ideas.He was not decisive and not brave enough.
