[誤] The students are going to a dance party on Saturday night.[正] The students are going to a dance on Saturday night.Notice:舞會應該說dancing party，不要說dance party，但一般只說dance也就夠了。開舞會就說give a dance，去參加舞會就說go to a dance。

那旅館每晚舉行舞會：At the hotel dances are held nightly.我第一次遇見她是在一個舞會上：She and I first met at a dance.他們請我參加舞會：They asked me to a dance.規(guī)模較大的舞會，英語又可說ball，是從拉丁文來的。
