China University of Mining and Technology(CUMT)is one of the key national universities under the direct administration of the China’s Ministry of Education.It is also one of the universities which host a graduate school with the approval of the Ministry of Education, and one of that in the national “211 project”, a government program designed to support and improve top-level institutions of higher learning in China.CUMT grew out of Jiaozuo School of Railroad and Mines, which was
established in 1909 and was later expanded and renamed Jiaozuo Institute of Technology.In 1950, Jiaozuo Institute of Technology moved to Tianjin and was renamed the China Institute of Mining and Technology(CIMT).It became the first higher learning institution in the field of mining in China.In 1952, during a national readjustment of higher learning institutions, the
mining engineering departments of Tsinghua University and the now-defunct Beiyang and Tangshan Railroad Universities were merged into CIMT.In 1953, the Institute moved to Beijing and was renamed Beijing Institute of Mining and Technology(BIMT), where it became one of the eight most renowned institutes in Beijing.In 1960, BIMT was rated a key university in the nation.During the period of the Cultural Revolution, it moved to Sichuan Province and was renamed the Sichuan
Institute of Mining and Technology.In 1978, with the approval of the State Council, a new campus was established in Xuzhou, Jiangsu Province, with the school name restored to CIMT, and was rated by the government as one of China’s 88 key state universities.In 1988, the institution was formally renamed the China University of Mining and Technology(CUMT), and in 1997, a second campus in Beijing was established with the approval of the Ministry of Education.As the oldest higher learning institution with a focus on mining engineering in the country, CUMT has been and continues to receive much attention and support from leaders of the central government.On May 11, 1988, Deng Xiaoping inscribed in his own handwriting the name of CUMT(it appears on the cover of this brochure)which is a mark of great distinction in Chinese culture.On January 19, 1996, then President Jiang Zemin and vice-premier Wu Bangguo personally inspected the facilities for coal water mixture preparation technology on the Beijing campus.On May 18, 1999, Jiang Zemin wrote the inscription for CUMT’s 90th anniversary as “Be enterprising and innovative in exploration, be rigorous and meticulous in academic pursuits, and build the China University of Mining and Technology into a first-class university of science and technology in the field of energy resources.” On June 16, 1999, former premier Li Peng wrote a second inscription entitled “Develop the cause of energy resource science and education.Train outstanding talents for the new century.” Former vice-premier Li Lanqing visited the school on October 8, 1999, followed by Mrs.Chen Zhili, the State Councilor and former Minister of Education, who paid a visit in May 2002.After over 90 years’ growth, a multidisciplinary system has emerged at CUMT.The system focuses on mining engineering and gives priority to engineering
disciplines.At present, on the main campus in Xuzhou, there are 19 schools with 60 undergraduate programs.CUMT offers 50 additional doctoral programs and 100 master’s programs.CUMT now has 8 key disciplines rated by the Chinese government as national priorities in education, and 13 recognized as key on the
ministerial or provincial level.Schools hosting the 8 key disciplines are able to invite special professors both in China and from abroad to help with discipline development under the “Specially Engaged Professorship under the Yangtze River Scholar Award Project”.Post-doctoral research opportunities are also available in 11 fields.During the ninth “Five-year Plan” period in 1996-2000, the “211 Project” was implemented, and during that period, CUMT achieved remarkable success in 12 research projects highlighted by three theoretical and five technical achievements of international standing.The university continues to operate under the “211 Project” today.CUMT boasts a large and well-qualified staff.The main campus in Xuzhou hosts more than 3,000 staff with over 1,400 full-time academics, 230 professors and 333 associate professors.The university’s current academic staff includes 6 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, and 172 supervisors for doctoral candidates.Among all the academic staff, one has received the first “China Young Scientist Award”, one has been nominated the prize of the “China Young Scientist Award”, 2 have won the first “Famous Teacher Award” for universities and colleges nationwide, one has received the “National Model Teacher Award”, 9 have obtained the “China Youth Award for Excellence in Science and Technology”, one has received the title of “National Excellent Worker for Scientific and Technological Advancement”, 10 have possessed state-level titles as the “Outstanding Young and Middle Aged Experts”, 7 have been listed among the first and second level candidates for the “Millions of Talents Projects”, 9 have been listed among the “New Century Outstanding Talent Training Program”, 9 have obtained awards from the China Outstanding Youth Science Fund, 3 have been listed among candidates for the Eighth China Youth

student-centered education, and the quality of student education has continued to improve.Since its inception, CUMT has produced more than 100,000 graduates, among which 10 are top-level academicians in the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Engineering, and 20 are ministers and provincial governors.Among CUMT’s

中國(guó)礦業(yè)大學(xué)是教育部直屬的全國(guó)重點(diǎn)大學(xué),是國(guó)家“211工程”和“985工程”“優(yōu)勢(shì)學(xué)科創(chuàng)新平臺(tái)項(xiàng)目”重點(diǎn)建設(shè)的高校之一。學(xué)校設(shè)有研究生院,是教育部與江蘇省人民政府、國(guó)家安全生產(chǎn)監(jiān)督管理總局共建高校。

2009年3月至8月,經(jīng)過(guò)為期近半年的深入學(xué)習(xí)實(shí)踐科學(xué)發(fā)展觀(guān)活動(dòng),學(xué)校確立用10年左右的時(shí)間,把中國(guó)礦業(yè)大學(xué)建設(shè)成為國(guó)內(nèi)一流、在能源和資源領(lǐng)域具有重要國(guó)際影響、特色鮮明的多科性研究型高水平大學(xué)。目前,學(xué)校正朝著建設(shè)“特色鮮明、國(guó)際一流的高水平礦業(yè)大學(xué)”的奮斗目標(biāo)闊步前行,努力發(fā)展成為能源資源領(lǐng)域科教事業(yè)的重要基地,成為國(guó)家創(chuàng)新體系的重要節(jié)點(diǎn)。

中國(guó)礦業(yè)大學(xué)環(huán)境保護(hù)協(xié)會(huì)于1989年由學(xué)校組織建立起來(lái)的。成立至今,我們見(jiàn)證了中國(guó)民間環(huán)保從無(wú)到有,從薄弱到越來(lái)越多的普通民眾關(guān)注并參與進(jìn)來(lái)的歷程。我們積極地開(kāi)展各種各樣的活動(dòng),為了我們的環(huán)保理念努力著。我們先后多次受到省市相關(guān)部門(mén)的嘉獎(jiǎng),并還被評(píng)為“全國(guó)十佳社團(tuán)”。所有的這些榮譽(yù)見(jiàn)證了我們的誓言,見(jiàn)證了我們?yōu)槲覀兊沫h(huán)境努力的行動(dòng)。我們沒(méi)有停滯不前,我們還在努力。我們以“立足校內(nèi),面向社會(huì),提高自身素質(zhì),塑造美好環(huán)境”為宗旨,以志愿的性質(zhì),進(jìn)行組織和開(kāi)展各種有關(guān)環(huán)保的活動(dòng),達(dá)到宣傳環(huán)保理念保護(hù)環(huán)境的目的,同時(shí),豐富同學(xué)的課余生活。協(xié)會(huì)現(xiàn)有主要成員90名左右。指導(dǎo)老師:
曾勇,教授、博士生導(dǎo)師,首屆高等學(xué)校國(guó)家級(jí)教學(xué)名師。曾任中國(guó)礦業(yè)大學(xué)資源學(xué)院院長(zhǎng),現(xiàn)任教育部高校地質(zhì)工程指導(dǎo)委員會(huì)委員、中國(guó)古生物學(xué)會(huì)常務(wù)理事、江蘇古生物學(xué)會(huì)副理事長(zhǎng)、中國(guó)地質(zhì)學(xué)會(huì)瓦斯地質(zhì)專(zhuān)業(yè)委員會(huì)副主任、中國(guó)地質(zhì)學(xué)會(huì)研究會(huì)常委。

宣傳部:負(fù)責(zé)協(xié)會(huì)各項(xiàng)活動(dòng)的宣傳工作。本部分作兩個(gè)小組,一組是負(fù)責(zé)海報(bào)和廣播臺(tái)的宣傳工作,一組負(fù)責(zé)板報(bào)及拉橫幅的宣傳工作,宣傳的內(nèi)容一定要協(xié)助秘書(shū)部備檔
實(shí)踐部:積極配合協(xié)會(huì)各部門(mén)的工作;利用自身優(yōu)點(diǎn),加強(qiáng)與徐州市其他環(huán)保組織的聯(lián)系;對(duì)校內(nèi)部分草坪進(jìn)行護(hù)理;負(fù)責(zé)協(xié)會(huì)社會(huì)實(shí)踐的全部工作。
外聯(lián)部:負(fù)責(zé)同校內(nèi)外各個(gè)部門(mén)聯(lián)系溝通,資金的籌備工作,配合協(xié)會(huì)其他部門(mén)搞好活動(dòng),為活動(dòng)的順利開(kāi)展,提供必要的人力和財(cái)力的支持,而且為部員提供了一個(gè)更早的社會(huì)接觸、參與社會(huì)實(shí)踐、展現(xiàn)自我的平臺(tái)。
秘書(shū)部:收集各種活動(dòng)成果,日常文字處理工作,每次活動(dòng)的總結(jié)和評(píng)定工作,會(huì)員考核工作,例會(huì)記錄,制作宣傳單、調(diào)查表、通訊錄等,內(nèi)設(shè)財(cái)務(wù)處負(fù)責(zé)財(cái)務(wù)管理。
網(wǎng)絡(luò)部:及時(shí)更新、維護(hù)和協(xié)會(huì)的網(wǎng)頁(yè);整理、收集環(huán)保的相關(guān)信息材料,加強(qiáng)與其他高校間的信息交流;加強(qiáng)與各大新聞媒體的聯(lián)系,建立完善的對(duì)外宣傳網(wǎng)絡(luò),擴(kuò)大協(xié)會(huì)工作的社會(huì)影響力,樹(shù)立良好形象;積極配合其他部門(mén)工作,為其他部門(mén)提供信息資料。

環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)成立二十年來(lái),成績(jī)斐然,在社會(huì)上贏得了良好的聲譽(yù)并曾多次被邀赴京,為“綠色助奧運(yùn)”、“綠色環(huán)保林”等活動(dòng)獻(xiàn)計(jì)獻(xiàn)策,并在人民大會(huì)堂得到了中華環(huán)?;饡?huì)會(huì)長(zhǎng)曲格平、原國(guó)家環(huán)??偩指本珠L(zhǎng)王玉慶,省環(huán)保宣教中心主任宋振亞以及部分省市環(huán)保組織負(fù)責(zé)人的親切接見(jiàn)。2001年獲得了“江蘇省十佳社團(tuán)”的光榮稱(chēng)號(hào),2004年在承辦由中國(guó)青年報(bào)、中央電視臺(tái)、保護(hù)國(guó)際中國(guó)項(xiàng)目工作室、國(guó)際愛(ài)護(hù)動(dòng)物基金會(huì)、中青在線(xiàn)等單位主辦的“關(guān)注西南生態(tài)多樣性寶庫(kù)——2004年大學(xué)生電影月”中,環(huán)協(xié)在全國(guó)113所高校中脫穎而出,又獲“最有價(jià)值建議獎(jiǎng)”。在2004年底經(jīng)過(guò)多方面的努力被評(píng)為“江蘇省優(yōu)秀社團(tuán)”,同時(shí)又在參加由徐州市“綠色之家”主辦的“四城同創(chuàng)暨環(huán)保知識(shí)競(jìng)賽”活動(dòng),競(jìng)賽中獲得了第二名的成績(jī),為徐州的建設(shè)與發(fā)展盡到了綿薄之力。2005-2006學(xué),環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)又被校團(tuán)委推薦申請(qǐng)“江蘇省十佳社團(tuán)活動(dòng)”,并成功獲選。2006-2007和2007-2008學(xué)均被評(píng)為校十佳社團(tuán)。
協(xié)會(huì)主要活動(dòng)概況:
2001年4月24日,為深入開(kāi)展“綠色助奧運(yùn)”活動(dòng),環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)赴北京平谷縣黑豆峪村小學(xué),開(kāi)展“手拉手”植樹(shù)活動(dòng)。此次活動(dòng)得到了國(guó)家環(huán)保總局、中華環(huán)保基金會(huì)的大力支持。2001年9月26日--10月7日,環(huán)境保護(hù)協(xié)會(huì)與徐州環(huán)保組織“綠色之家”共同參與徐州市園藝博覽會(huì),以分發(fā)傳單、宣讀倡議書(shū)和義務(wù)撿垃圾的形式有效的維持了園藝博覽會(huì)的整潔與秩序,受到園藝博覽會(huì)舉辦方和游人的贊揚(yáng)。
2001年9月14日,環(huán)境保護(hù)協(xié)會(huì)應(yīng)徐州“綠色之家”的邀請(qǐng),二次赴京,此次任務(wù)有二,一是對(duì)4月24日種的“綠色環(huán)保林”進(jìn)行護(hù)林工作:二是參加于2001年9月18日在人民大會(huì)堂河南廳舉行的《中華綠色版工程》啟動(dòng)儀式。
2003年11.25至12.30日,為紀(jì)念《環(huán)境法》頒布14周年,舉辦了環(huán)保宣傳標(biāo)語(yǔ)與環(huán)保公益作品征集活動(dòng),部分優(yōu)秀作品參加了文法學(xué)院法學(xué)系于12.24至16日在校綜合樓大廳舉辦大型環(huán)保公益作品展,市環(huán)保局副局長(zhǎng)、文法學(xué)院院長(zhǎng)等參加了開(kāi)幕式,此次活動(dòng)得到了徐州多家新聞媒體的關(guān)注。
2003年12月28日,環(huán)協(xié)應(yīng)邀在徐州礦物局沁園春茶座參加了毛澤東誕辰110周年的茶話(huà)會(huì)。環(huán)協(xié)與徐州市部分高校環(huán)保組織、徐州電臺(tái)、徐州市環(huán)保局、“全球500佳”徐州小記
者團(tuán)、心緣支援者服務(wù)隊(duì)等單位代表進(jìn)行了親切的座談,并與獲得聯(lián)合國(guó)授予的“全球環(huán)保形象大使”稱(chēng)號(hào)的朱以勛校長(zhǎng),江蘇省作家協(xié)會(huì)作家湯海若作了深入的交談,此次活動(dòng)中,校環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)與其他單位建立了良好的社會(huì)關(guān)系并加深了感情,為協(xié)會(huì)將來(lái)的發(fā)展奠定了良好的基礎(chǔ)。
2004年1月1日,環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)聯(lián)合徐州幼兒師范學(xué)院,徐州“綠色之家”在大福圓超市廣場(chǎng)共同舉辦了“綠冬凱歌”文藝演出,環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)并向過(guò)往群眾散發(fā)了自編的“環(huán)保公約30條”,此次活動(dòng)得到了社會(huì)群眾的泛好評(píng)。
2004年3月5日,應(yīng)邀參加團(tuán)市委主辦的“讓我?guī)椭恪贝笮椭驹刚呋顒?dòng)開(kāi)幕式,環(huán)協(xié)成員王政同學(xué)被聘為泉山區(qū)居委會(huì)副主任。
2004年3月12日,環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)“礦大環(huán)保月”活動(dòng)拉開(kāi)帷幕,在徐州市泰山生態(tài)園成功創(chuàng)建“大學(xué)生環(huán)保林”此次活動(dòng)得到了徐州市環(huán)保局的大力支持,相關(guān)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)也參加了活動(dòng)開(kāi)幕式,此次活動(dòng)已被徐州電臺(tái)、徐州電視臺(tái)、彭城晚報(bào)、都市晨報(bào)、徐州日?qǐng)?bào)(徐州市機(jī)關(guān)報(bào))、生態(tài)環(huán)境報(bào)等媒體的廣泛報(bào)道。
2004年3月20日,環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì),心緣志愿者者服務(wù)隊(duì),“綠色之家”等組織在湖濱新村舉行了“湖濱社區(qū)環(huán)保宣傳站”成立儀式,環(huán)協(xié)主席楊康同學(xué)被聘為宣傳站干事,市環(huán)保局領(lǐng)導(dǎo)出席了此項(xiàng)儀式,該活動(dòng)得到了新聞媒體的廣泛關(guān)注。
2004年3月底籌辦并舉行了每月一期的“校園環(huán)保之星”評(píng)選活動(dòng)。
《中國(guó)青年報(bào)》現(xiàn)已通過(guò)環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)的申請(qǐng),同意環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)代表中國(guó)礦業(yè)大學(xué)舉辦“關(guān)注西部生物多樣性寶---2004全國(guó)大學(xué)生電影月”活動(dòng),環(huán)協(xié)將在收到資料后,面向全校及徐州市各小學(xué)、高中舉辦此項(xiàng)活動(dòng)。
為了擴(kuò)大環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)在新生中的影響,2004年10月10日,環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)在南湖校區(qū)舉辦環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)標(biāo)語(yǔ)張貼活動(dòng)。
10月4日是世界動(dòng)物日,為了喚醒社會(huì)各界人士對(duì)動(dòng)物的關(guān)愛(ài),提高自主的能動(dòng)性,環(huán)協(xié)與2004年10月15日----11月15日面向全校學(xué)生進(jìn)行“動(dòng)物保護(hù)”電影放映及“熱愛(ài)生命”正文活動(dòng)。
2004年11月21號(hào)和徐州市民間組織綠色之家聯(lián)合舉辦江蘇林募捐活動(dòng),中國(guó)環(huán)境報(bào)記者現(xiàn)場(chǎng)和同學(xué)們作了深入的交流,并講解了我國(guó)當(dāng)前的環(huán)境現(xiàn)狀,這次活動(dòng)取得了圓滿(mǎn)成功在2004年5-6月,協(xié)會(huì)承辦了由中國(guó)青年報(bào)主辦的“ 保護(hù)西南生態(tài)多樣性寶庫(kù)——2004年大學(xué)生電影月”活動(dòng),獲得了“最有價(jià)值建議獎(jiǎng)”。其后主要面對(duì)南湖校區(qū)的新生在南湖和文昌進(jìn)行了長(zhǎng)達(dá)一個(gè)多月的有獎(jiǎng)環(huán)保電影征文活動(dòng)。
2004年下學(xué)期,我們圍繞奎河作了大量的工作。每個(gè)星期去奎河觀(guān)察一次,完成了對(duì)奎河的民意調(diào)查,并對(duì)調(diào)查結(jié)果 進(jìn)行了詳細(xì)的分析,形成了最后長(zhǎng)達(dá)五六千字的《奎河調(diào)查報(bào)告》,且得到了長(zhǎng)期從事奎河問(wèn)題的徐州民間環(huán)保組織“綠色之家”的好評(píng),并要把這份報(bào)告提交給徐州市政府,作為政府計(jì)劃的參考。
2005年3月13日,植樹(shù)節(jié)剛過(guò)的日子里,我們聯(lián)系徐州市稼悅園、徐州市彭城晚報(bào)共同在稼悅園植樹(shù),接著在3月26日,我們聯(lián)合環(huán)境與測(cè)繪學(xué)院環(huán)科04-2班全體同學(xué)借云龍山廟會(huì)之機(jī),在云龍山公園開(kāi)展了“大學(xué)生環(huán)保實(shí)踐宣傳”活動(dòng),得到了社會(huì)的廣泛的好評(píng)和支
持。
為支持徐州市的“四成同創(chuàng)”,在4月2日下午,我們同世紀(jì)環(huán)保組織代表中國(guó)礦業(yè)大學(xué)參加了有徐州“綠色之家”主辦的 “四城同創(chuàng)暨環(huán)保知識(shí)競(jìng)賽”活動(dòng),競(jìng)賽中獲得了第二名的好成績(jī),為徐州的建設(shè)與發(fā)展盡到了綿薄之力。
世界地球日期間,協(xié)會(huì)在礦大,徐師大,徐州工程學(xué)院,徐州職業(yè)技術(shù)學(xué)校四所高校同時(shí)舉行以世界地球日為主題的網(wǎng)頁(yè)設(shè)計(jì)大賽,并將在此四所高校評(píng)出大賽獲獎(jiǎng)?wù)?,又?月23日(星期六)在徐州市環(huán)保局的指導(dǎo)下組織四校環(huán)保協(xié)會(huì)成員約60人(其中徐師、徐工、,徐州職業(yè)技術(shù)學(xué)校的人數(shù)不定,由各所高校協(xié)會(huì)內(nèi)部自行調(diào)整決定)到張集職業(yè)技術(shù)中學(xué)參觀(guān)學(xué)習(xí)。
2005年9月底,協(xié)會(huì)通過(guò)各方渠道、積極爭(zhēng)取,再次邀請(qǐng)到香港“地球之友”總干事,曾獲全球“環(huán)保500佳之一” 和香港“綠色之友總干事”、2003被香港特區(qū)政府授予“紫荊勛章”殊榮的著名環(huán)保人士吳方笑薇女士和我國(guó)著名環(huán)保作家湯海若女士來(lái)我校講學(xué)、作報(bào)告,在同學(xué)們中間引起了強(qiáng)烈的反響。
2010年4月28日,熱烈祝賀由中華環(huán)境保護(hù)基金會(huì)贊助,中國(guó)礦業(yè)大學(xué)黨委宣傳部、共青團(tuán)中國(guó)礦業(yè)大學(xué)委員會(huì)主辦,中國(guó)礦業(yè)大學(xué)環(huán)境保護(hù)協(xié)會(huì)承辦,百勝餐飲必勝客貼別支持的“調(diào)查低碳意識(shí),宣傳低碳生活”活動(dòng)圓滿(mǎn)結(jié)束。2009年11月份中旬,中國(guó)礦業(yè)大學(xué)環(huán)境保護(hù)協(xié)會(huì)成功申請(qǐng)到中華環(huán)境保護(hù)基金會(huì)第四批大學(xué)生環(huán)保公益活動(dòng)的小額資助,項(xiàng)目圍繞“氣候變化”這一緊要的環(huán)保問(wèn)題而展開(kāi)從而進(jìn)行了“提高低碳意識(shí)、宣傳低碳生活”的系列活動(dòng)。活動(dòng)主要包括低碳調(diào)查和低碳宣教兩個(gè)部分。所謂低碳就是較低(更低)的溫室氣體(二氧化碳為主)排放,這與我們的生活息息相關(guān),可以說(shuō)每一個(gè)人都可以在日常生活中實(shí)現(xiàn)“低碳生活”。
2010年參加中華環(huán)?;饡?huì)在南京大學(xué)的第四批優(yōu)秀活動(dòng)的報(bào)告會(huì),受到了秘書(shū)長(zhǎng)王偉的高度贊揚(yáng),活動(dòng)得到了圓滿(mǎn)的結(jié)束。在會(huì)上就本項(xiàng)活動(dòng)戴強(qiáng)同學(xué)作了詳細(xì)的介紹,做了很好的交流。
