(1)現(xiàn)在的自然科學(xué)一般都是發(fā)源于西方，國際學(xué)術(shù)圈子的主流語言還是英語，需要讀研的學(xué)生閱讀英文的文獻(xiàn)，了解學(xué)術(shù)的最前沿。

(2)概括說來，社會科學(xué)門類重英語基礎(chǔ)的專業(yè)主要分布在兩大類專業(yè)中，一類是比較類的專業(yè)，如比較文學(xué)，比較教育學(xué)，比較法學(xué)等。另一類是需要直接學(xué)習(xí)西方內(nèi)容的專業(yè)，如西方哲學(xué)，國際經(jīng)濟(jì)與貿(mào)易學(xué)，國際新聞等專業(yè)。

④ 性格、能力，可以著重強(qiáng)調(diào)你的個(gè)性對你報(bào)考的專業(yè)有何積極的作用。以下是可供選擇的形容詞：carefully，detail-oriented、logical、steady、responsible、dependable、efficient、Aggressive、adaptable、amicable等等。

在職考生或有過工作經(jīng)驗(yàn)的考生還可以強(qiáng)調(diào)一下你的工作成績，如：As the assistant to the General Manger of XXX Company, I have helped to negotiate a $200,000 deal for the corporation.⑤ 愛好，一般可以從體育、音樂、電影等方面來說，同時(shí)要簡單說明這些愛好對你的積極意義。
