如何寫(xiě)好出國(guó)留學(xué)申請(qǐng)推薦信

申請(qǐng)北美的碩士研究生或博士研究生項(xiàng)目一般需要2~3份推薦信。

那么誰(shuí)是最好的推薦人呢?錄取評(píng)審委員會(huì)通常最看重那些與被推薦者有著或曾有過(guò)密切的工作關(guān)系的人或其他熟悉你的科研能力、學(xué)術(shù)水平、組織能力和領(lǐng)導(dǎo)才能的人士。如在大學(xué)比較了解你的教授，在工作單位里的頂頭上司或是你參與的其他社會(huì)組織，以及各種學(xué)術(shù)和慈善團(tuán)體的負(fù)責(zé)人，這些人是理所當(dāng)然的最佳推薦人人選。

你也應(yīng)當(dāng)盡量避免請(qǐng)同一類(lèi)型的人士給你寫(xiě)推薦信。你需要錄取評(píng)審委員會(huì)對(duì)你有一個(gè)完整而全面的了解，不能只局限于在校的學(xué)習(xí)成績(jī)或是工作上的表現(xiàn)。

除了推薦者的選擇，推薦信的內(nèi)容也有格外需要注意的地方。一封好的推薦信不僅需要出自一位在某一方面了解你的人士之手，而且這封信對(duì)你的評(píng)價(jià)必須要有具體的例子來(lái)佐證。許許多多的推薦信都犯著一個(gè)雷同而且是致使的錯(cuò)誤，那就是幾乎每一句話(huà)都堆滿(mǎn)了贊美的形容詞或名詞，但卻不舉一件事例來(lái)證明。這樣的推薦信是蒼白無(wú)力的，它不增加評(píng)審委員會(huì)對(duì)你的任何了解，甚至?xí)屪x者產(chǎn)生疑問(wèn)：你的教授，你的頂頭上司，為什么不能說(shuō)出你任何一件具體的成就!

當(dāng)然，即使是十分了解你的推薦者也不能保證完全了解或是記得你的具體成就和能力，他們也可能不清楚在推薦信上詳細(xì)介紹你的重要性。你所應(yīng)該做的是與推薦者交談一次，提醒他們你所具有的能力和已獲得的成就并表明你希望他們能夠提到這些事實(shí)。

推薦者如果恰當(dāng)?shù)囟终嬲劦缴暾?qǐng)人的不足，就會(huì)增加推薦信的真實(shí)性，而且也顯示出對(duì)被推薦者深刻的了解。這樣的推薦信就會(huì)更加有分量。

此外，許多申請(qǐng)者在細(xì)節(jié)上相當(dāng)馬虎，他們?nèi)ヌ嫱扑]者打印給自己的幾封推薦信時(shí)，不僅行文的口氣、格式完全沒(méi)有變化，連使用的紙張、信封、字型、字號(hào)也一模一樣。國(guó)外的評(píng)審委員往往不了解中國(guó)的特殊國(guó)情，他們可能據(jù)此判斷你在偽造推薦信。

總之，推薦信是除自述外最重要的出國(guó)留學(xué)申請(qǐng)文件，起著從側(cè)面介紹、證明的重大作用。

由于其具備自述所沒(méi)有的客觀性，推薦信能起到自述所起不到的作用。
