Growing up with the internet: Who are we-the Net Generation?

Good morning，everyone！

Since the 1990s,as science and technology have been developed rapidly.We now live in the realm of technology.We are constantly surrounded by it and interact with it.That is to say,Internet has become an important part of our daily life.Greatly influenced by it,we who are the Net Generation are stepping into the stage of history.To tell you the truth,I really think we are the lucky generation.Until now,I can still clearly remember my childhood.At that time,it seemed that no one surrounding me can have the chance to see a computer,let alone control it.People just gathered to watch the white-black TV,listen to the radio,or see the daily newspaper to know the outside world.Luckily enough,the situation has changed today.We post-90s use the QQ and renren to keep friends in touch,we use an online shopping system to buy stuff,we know the world by internet.Everything seems so unbelievable and impressive.In a word,I have to say ,Internet is so important to our life.It shortens the distance beween us,and the way we communicate has been changed dramatically.But on the other hand，technology is like a knife，we can use it to cut our food and we can also use it to kill somebody.It just depends on what we want to do with the technology.Unfortunately,our post-90s generation can’t control themselves properly，we seem to be caged in the modern technology ,we become addicted to computer easily.Lots of post-90s spend too much time on the computer screen so that they acquire many bad habits.Some are tired of learning ,they quit their study career to work at their young age.Some even commit a crime to get enough money to search the Internet,which makes me feel distressed.They put everything behind just for the Internet.They are completely swallowed by the virtual world.They actually are losing something more important in their life-our communication with others.That’s what we don’t want to see.Based on above all,many people began to think that post-90s generation are paying no attention to our society.They think we just know how to play games and chat,but never concern our country.It’s hard for me to admit it.Surfing the Internet doesn’t mean we do nothing for our motherland.Although we are the generation growing up with the Internet,we are positive,confident enthusiastic,and brave.In 2008,a big earthquake happened in Sichuan Province.It’s our post-90s generation that use their own way to help the people rebuild homes and give them strength to survive.On October 24,2009,a dozen students of Yangtze University formed a ladder and flew into the river to rescue two drowning youth.the two are rescued while three colleage students lost their precious and young lives.The whole society are moved and shocked by them.They are the real heroes ,we should pay our special tribute to them.So,it’s high time for our post-90s to take over the responsibility of our own future.We need to be aware of how to reach a balance between enjoying it and keeping our initiative.And it is time for us to value the relationship between people and try to keep it forever.I hope you can believe that we post-90s will do our best to love our motherland,to devote ourselves to the development of our country and built a brigher future!
