1.教學(xué)大綱要求:
根據(jù)《高等院校英語(yǔ)專業(yè)基礎(chǔ)階段英語(yǔ)教學(xué)大綱》對(duì)聽(tīng)力理解部分的要求:能聽(tīng)懂英語(yǔ)國(guó)家人士關(guān)于日常生活﹑社會(huì)生活的講演或交談,聽(tīng)懂難度與TOEFL中Minitalk等相同的材料,及以BBC和VOA為主的國(guó)際新聞節(jié)目的內(nèi)容,并就以上材料進(jìn)行推理﹑分析。
2.考試大綱要求:
根據(jù)1997年出版的《高等院校英語(yǔ)專業(yè)基礎(chǔ)階段英語(yǔ)考試大綱》(修訂本),聽(tīng)力理解部分共包含三個(gè)部分:?jiǎn)稳岁愂雯p兩人對(duì)話﹑新聞廣播。所選材料可以是描述性﹑解釋性或說(shuō)明性的,反映日常生活的句子﹑對(duì)話,及一般性的新聞報(bào)道和短評(píng)等,題材涉及社會(huì)﹑文化﹑經(jīng)濟(jì)﹑科學(xué)﹑藝術(shù)﹑人文等等。其中出現(xiàn)的語(yǔ)法難度不超出大綱的相關(guān)規(guī)定,詞匯原則上不超過(guò)大綱對(duì)四級(jí)的詞匯要求,但BBC和VOA中有個(gè)別新聞報(bào)道的用語(yǔ)或生詞,要求考生能根據(jù)上下文猜測(cè)。背景知識(shí)應(yīng)在考生掌握或理解的常識(shí)之內(nèi),不會(huì)出現(xiàn)超出原文專門測(cè)試背景知識(shí)或智力的題目。
聽(tīng)力理解部分為客觀測(cè)試題型,共25道題目,要求考生從所提供的四個(gè)選擇項(xiàng)中選擇一個(gè)最佳答案,每題僅限選擇一個(gè)答案,多選無(wú)效,答錯(cuò)不倒扣分。
聽(tīng)力理解材料的錄音由來(lái)自英美國(guó)家的專家錄制,有英式也有美式英語(yǔ),但不帶明顯的地方口音。錄音的語(yǔ)速為120詞/每分鐘,只念一遍,在每個(gè)問(wèn)句后留有約10秒的間隙,供考生回答問(wèn)題??荚嚂r(shí)間長(zhǎng)度共20分鐘,原始積分為25分,在總分中所占比重為15%。

聽(tīng)力雖然屬于接受性技能,但聽(tīng)力理解部分的考試實(shí)際上是對(duì)考生進(jìn)行聽(tīng)﹑讀﹑理解和記憶能力的綜合性測(cè)試。它要求考生在聽(tīng)懂語(yǔ)言材料后,運(yùn)用語(yǔ)言知識(shí),如語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)﹑語(yǔ)義﹑句法,以及調(diào)動(dòng)非語(yǔ)言知識(shí),如文化背景﹑常識(shí),推測(cè)并判斷出合乎原文的正確答案。但是由于聽(tīng)力內(nèi)容瞬間即逝的特點(diǎn),還要求考生具有一定的記憶能力。因此,聽(tīng)力考試對(duì)非英語(yǔ)國(guó)家的學(xué)生來(lái)說(shuō),一直是個(gè)頗具挑戰(zhàn)的項(xiàng)目。那么如何提高考生的成績(jī)呢? 那就要考生從聽(tīng)力測(cè)試所涉及的幾個(gè)方面有的放矢地提早做些準(zhǔn)備。
1.語(yǔ)言知識(shí)方面:
(1)語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào):只有掌握標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的讀音,熟悉連讀﹑重讀﹑弱讀﹑爆破﹑同化的英語(yǔ)發(fā)音特點(diǎn),考生才能不受答案項(xiàng)中的語(yǔ)音干擾;了解美式與英式發(fā)音的異同,才能正確理解所聽(tīng)內(nèi)容。除了具有一般的語(yǔ)調(diào)知識(shí)外,還要特別注意口語(yǔ)中語(yǔ)調(diào)的的表意功能:因?yàn)橥痪湓捰貌煌恼Z(yǔ)調(diào),表達(dá)的是說(shuō)話者也許完全相反的情緒和態(tài)度,如:陳述句通常用降調(diào)表示肯定,而有時(shí)用升調(diào),表達(dá)的就不是肯定語(yǔ)氣,而是相反,即不肯定﹑疑惑﹑驚奇等;通常情況下用升調(diào)的一般疑問(wèn)句,如果用降調(diào),更多的是表示肯定而非疑問(wèn)。只有具備扎實(shí)的基礎(chǔ),才能更快更準(zhǔn)確地理解原文;只有長(zhǎng)期堅(jiān)持不懈地進(jìn)行大量的泛聽(tīng),接觸各種不同題材﹑不同語(yǔ)音語(yǔ)調(diào)的聽(tīng)音材料,才能為此做好準(zhǔn)備。
(2)詞匯:?jiǎn)卧~是構(gòu)成一切語(yǔ)言的基礎(chǔ)。我們強(qiáng)調(diào)的不是脫離大綱的難詞﹑偏詞,而是對(duì)大綱內(nèi)的詞匯的熟練程度。在此基礎(chǔ)上積累詞組﹑習(xí)慣用語(yǔ)﹑成語(yǔ)﹑同義詞﹑近義詞及諺語(yǔ)
等方面的知識(shí)。如:在問(wèn)題中經(jīng)常要求對(duì)原文釋義(What does the speaker mean),而答案項(xiàng)通常用與原文不同的詞或詞組表達(dá)與原文相同或相近的意思,不徹底了解單詞詞組或慣用語(yǔ),沒(méi)有足夠的詞匯量,即便聽(tīng)懂了,面對(duì)四個(gè)選擇也只能是束手無(wú)策。同時(shí)考生要養(yǎng)成用英語(yǔ)思維的習(xí)慣,用英英字典查詢,用英語(yǔ)的概念理解原文,潛移默化,才能更快作出反應(yīng)。
