新聞聽力特定詞匯、聽力技巧

六個(gè)方面的訓(xùn)練：

(1)加強(qiáng)儲存記憶(memory span)：做到這一點(diǎn)需要按意群捕捉講述內(nèi)容，不要一字一字地聽，而要抓住關(guān)鍵詞或句。聽完一段不可能一字一句地回憶，而要建立整體概念。

(2)加強(qiáng)及時(shí)反映(immediate recall)：只有當(dāng)你建立了整體概念，才能達(dá)到立即回憶。

(3)做簡短筆記(brief note—taking)：在聽較長材料時(shí)，用縮寫或自己能看懂的點(diǎn)、線或其它標(biāo)記做些快速記錄，如：數(shù)字、地點(diǎn)、人名或其它關(guān)鍵詞語等。

(4)多做聽寫和記筆記訓(xùn)練(dictating & note—taking)：這種練習(xí)有助于儲存記憶，訓(xùn)練抓住關(guān)鍵詞或句，以及中心思想。

(5)精聽與泛聽(intensive & extensive listening)：同一段內(nèi)容反復(fù)聽若干次，這樣有助于增加記憶的持續(xù)時(shí)間；聽不同內(nèi)容的材料，有助于增加聽各種不同聲音，口音及語速的經(jīng)驗(yàn)。前者屬于精聽，后者為泛聽，兩者應(yīng)有機(jī)結(jié)合起來。

(6)訓(xùn)練聽與尋找答案同時(shí)進(jìn)行(looking for the right answer while listening)：在聽的同時(shí)迅速瀏覽各項(xiàng)選擇，只需細(xì)看各項(xiàng)選擇的不同部分，而相同的部分只看第一個(gè)即可，這樣可以節(jié)省時(shí)間以便多做思考。當(dāng)然，如果能巧妙地利用每一部分考題的空隙快速瀏覽一下所要做的習(xí)題的選擇項(xiàng)，那是再好不過了。因此，特別要提醒考生的一個(gè)訣竅就是：當(dāng)聽力理解的每一部分開始放音時(shí)，總要有一長段的題目指令(Instructions)與例題(Sample)，考生可以不必去聽它，因?yàn)槁犈c不聽根本不會影響你后面的答題。利用這一段時(shí)間，大致推測一下錄音內(nèi)容大有益處。望考生千萬不要錯(cuò)過這個(gè)時(shí)機(jī)。一般人由于不太習(xí)慣聽英語的緣故，每當(dāng)聽到英語時(shí)，勢必會先在大腦中復(fù)述一次，才能了解句意，甚至將復(fù)述的句子譯成中文才能理解。這種作法是絕對不可取的。因?yàn)樵谟⒄Z專業(yè)八級考試中，考生一方面要聽速度很快的敘述，錄音的語速每分鐘約為160—180個(gè)詞，而且只聽一遍，另一方面又要同時(shí)從四個(gè)選擇項(xiàng)中選出正確答案，若按上述方法應(yīng)試，時(shí)間是絕對不允許的。因此，考生必須養(yǎng)成從英語到英語，即用英語思維的習(xí)慣。必須除去從英語到英語復(fù)述，再到譯成中文，最終達(dá)到理解的過程。積累一些新聞?dòng)谜Z，一些重要組織的名稱如EEC（European Economic Community）歐洲經(jīng)濟(jì)共同體、IMF（International Monetary Fund）國際貨幣基金會、OPEC（Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries）石油輸出國組織、NASA(National Aeronautics and Space Administration)國家航空和航天局；

單詞如upsurge（高漲）、manoeuvre（策略）、escalation（升級）、allegation（斷言）等等 英語專八聽力練習(xí)難度不大，尤其和mini-lecture比起來，簡單很多，提前可以看到問題和選項(xiàng)。帶著這些預(yù)讀信息去進(jìn)行target-oriented 的聽力，命中率一般都很高，練習(xí)到后期不希望考生失掉哪怕一分。有可能成文滿分絆腳石的就是一些 “紙老虎” 般的新聞聽力特定詞匯，請大家提前預(yù)熱。其實(shí)出題考這些詞匯的幾率特別小，只是形式上嚇人罷了。

如何備考全日制翻譯碩士（MTI）考研

MTI, Master of Translation and Interpreting, 是為了適應(yīng)市場經(jīng)濟(jì)對應(yīng)用型高層次專門人才的需求，國務(wù)院學(xué)位委員會于2007年1月批準(zhǔn)設(shè)臵的翻譯碩士專業(yè)學(xué)位。MTI作為我國20個(gè)專業(yè)碩士之一，不僅面向英語專業(yè)的考研同學(xué)，同時(shí)也為其他各個(gè)專業(yè)的同學(xué)們提供了一個(gè)專業(yè)選擇的機(jī)會。

由于對這個(gè)新興專業(yè)缺乏了解，有的同學(xué)可能會進(jìn)入這樣一個(gè)誤區(qū)，認(rèn)為專業(yè)碩士就是在職研究生。但事實(shí)上，MTI的設(shè)立，是國家根據(jù)目前經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的形勢，對碩士結(jié)構(gòu)做出的相應(yīng)調(diào)整。與傳統(tǒng)的學(xué)術(shù)型碩士相比，MTI更強(qiáng)調(diào)實(shí)用性，更注重同學(xué)們的筆譯和口譯的實(shí)踐能力，更能適應(yīng)市場對翻譯專業(yè)人才的需求。其實(shí)國外的大學(xué)很早就出現(xiàn)了專業(yè)碩士，甚至是專業(yè)博士。因此，對那些想走上翻譯之路，又因擔(dān)心MTI含金量不夠的同學(xué)們，我想說，打消顧慮，積極準(zhǔn)備吧！

此外，對于英語專業(yè)考研的同學(xué)們來說，報(bào)考MTI還有三個(gè)優(yōu)勢：

其一，目前除了北京外國語大學(xué)以外，其他各設(shè)有MTI專業(yè)的大學(xué)考試都是不考二外的。有的同學(xué)英語水平不錯(cuò)，可是由于學(xué)校開設(shè)二外課程較晚或基本功不扎實(shí)等原因，在考研中體現(xiàn)不出自己的優(yōu)勢，甚至可能由于二外分?jǐn)?shù)太低，與理想的院校失之交臂。

其二，除去二外的因素，MTI由于高度的專業(yè)性，也免去了令備考翻譯方向的同學(xué)們頭疼的文學(xué)、語言學(xué)等英語專業(yè)知識，可以留給同學(xué)們更多的時(shí)間進(jìn)行翻譯專業(yè)的備考。

其三，與語言學(xué)文學(xué)等幾個(gè)英語專業(yè)相比，翻譯碩士在國內(nèi)各個(gè)高校的設(shè)臵是較少的，特別是口譯方向的碩士，僅有幾個(gè)名校設(shè)立的翻譯學(xué)院。這樣就導(dǎo)致名額太少，競爭異常激烈，一些有志于攻讀翻譯碩士方向的同學(xué)就可能在這種激烈的競爭中與自己的理想擦肩而過了。

因此，綜合以上三點(diǎn)因素考慮，MTI的設(shè)立實(shí)際上是為同學(xué)們提供了一個(gè)實(shí)現(xiàn)自己的夢想的新的機(jī)會，同學(xué)們應(yīng)該抓住這個(gè)契機(jī)。

下面我就具體分析一下MTI考試的幾個(gè)科目，以及該如何有針對性地復(fù)習(xí)備考。除去全國統(tǒng)考的政治外，備戰(zhàn)MTI的同學(xué)們還有三門專業(yè)課需要復(fù)習(xí)：150分的百科知識與中文寫作，100分的基礎(chǔ)英語，以及150分的翻譯基礎(chǔ)。

首先，我談一下百科知識與中文寫作。有許多同學(xué)“不敢”報(bào)考MTI，就是因?yàn)閾?dān)心百科知識涉及面太廣，備考起來不知該如何下手。的確，根據(jù)MTI大綱的要求，百科知識涉及到中外文化、文學(xué)、政治、宗教、經(jīng)濟(jì)、法律、歷史、哲學(xué)等多個(gè)方面，看上去瑣碎又繁雜。但實(shí)際上，大家并不需要太擔(dān)心。因?yàn)?0分的百科知識，多以選擇題和名詞解釋的形式出現(xiàn)。根據(jù)去年的考試情況來看，其難度并不太大。

我的建議是，大家不要一味地糾結(jié)于百科知識的“廣”，而應(yīng)該“有針對性地”復(fù)習(xí)。所謂“針對性”就是要專門地復(fù)習(xí)幾門課，比如中國文化、文學(xué)、英國社會文化、英美文學(xué)，以及要特別提到的，還有的同學(xué)覺得自己學(xué)的是英語專業(yè)，因此很擔(dān)心自己在中文寫作這一部分發(fā)揮不好。但我覺得同學(xué)們對此不必太擔(dān)心。中文寫作包含兩個(gè)一個(gè)大作文和一個(gè)小作文，同學(xué)們要做好的就是要抓住中文寫作的規(guī)律，平時(shí)多練筆。尤其是小作文，即公文寫作，是有一定的形式和規(guī)律可循的，同學(xué)們不可輕視練習(xí)、修改、再聯(lián)系的實(shí)用性。

其次，我來談一下基礎(chǔ)英語?；A(chǔ)英語分為三個(gè)部分，詞匯語法，閱讀和寫作，每個(gè)部分所占的分值還是蠻大的。

詞匯語法部分出題靈活，可以出現(xiàn)很多題型，比如最常見的選擇題形式，以及比較有難度的改錯(cuò)題形式，難度起碼要達(dá)到專八的程度。因此，同學(xué)們從備考的開始階段起就要多背單詞，在此基礎(chǔ)上，大量地做單詞語法題和專八系列的改錯(cuò)題，反復(fù)記憶，總結(jié)技巧。

至于閱讀部分，我認(rèn)為四選一這種傳統(tǒng)選擇題的難度應(yīng)該達(dá)到專八的水平，但也可能出現(xiàn)達(dá)到GRE水平的理解題，同學(xué)們不可掉以輕心。而對于一些非傳統(tǒng)的閱讀題型，比如paraphrase, answer questions等，考察的不僅是同學(xué)們的閱讀能力和理解能力，也在一定程度上反應(yīng)了考生的表達(dá)能力，即（英語）作文水平。所以，我建議，同學(xué)們在平時(shí)做閱讀理解題的過程中，要有意識地強(qiáng)化自己的語言“輸出”功力，不可辭不達(dá)意。

英語寫作部分類似于專八作文的模式，但有的學(xué)校可能更突出時(shí)效性，會出一些與實(shí)事有關(guān)的作文題。我對于寫作的建議就是，多寫多練多積累，還有很重要的一點(diǎn)就是，要有老師的批改。有的同學(xué)寫了很多作文，但成績提不上去。就是因?yàn)樗偘凑兆约旱穆纷訉?，寫了十篇作文就把自己的錯(cuò)誤重復(fù)“強(qiáng)化”了十遍。因此，練習(xí)寫作，要在老師有效的指導(dǎo)下進(jìn)行，不可一味地求數(shù)量而忽視每一篇的質(zhì)量。

最后，我來談一下很重要的翻譯基礎(chǔ)這門課。翻譯基礎(chǔ)，也可以成為翻譯實(shí)務(wù)，是由兩部分組成的，即詞語翻譯和篇章翻譯。

詞語翻譯這一部分是因校而異的。比如北航MTI考試中這一部分涉及到的詞語翻譯大多是翻譯理論的詞語，而北外則更傾向于考時(shí)事政治經(jīng)濟(jì)這類的詞語。因此，同學(xué)們在備考時(shí)，一定要好好研究自己目標(biāo)院校的歷年試題，抓住每個(gè)學(xué)?？荚嚨膫?cè)重點(diǎn)，看詞語翻譯到底是跟中國文化有關(guān)還是跟政治經(jīng)濟(jì)有關(guān)，這樣才能更有針對性地復(fù)習(xí)。

而對于篇章翻譯，我想說，沒有捷徑可走，不存在什么速成的辦法。在150分的翻譯基礎(chǔ)卷中，篇章翻譯起碼要占到100分，可能包括一到兩篇的漢譯英，以及一到兩篇的漢譯英。這樣來看，這一部分的量還是很大的，也就使我們不容易判斷翻譯的類型是散文類還是時(shí)文類的，或是經(jīng)貿(mào)類的，還是外交類的。

因此，這就要求大家具備較高的翻譯素質(zhì)。但翻譯素質(zhì)的提高，并不是一天兩天的事，也不是聽某個(gè)老師講了翻譯理論就可以達(dá)到的，更多的還是依賴同學(xué)們自己大量反復(fù)的聯(lián)系，以及，同前面講到的寫作一樣，要依賴?yán)蠋熡行У闹笇?dǎo)和修改。有的同學(xué)認(rèn)為翻譯有了答案就可以了。

但事實(shí)上，看沒有指導(dǎo)下的答案就只能讓你看到與好的翻譯的差距，并不能幫你找到縮小差距的方法，不能指出你的不足是什么。因此，對于缺少指導(dǎo)環(huán)境的考生，我推薦大家關(guān)注一下環(huán)球時(shí)代的定制輔導(dǎo)課程，以起到有效的輔助備考的目的。
