道歉信，英文中稱為 letter of apology，是由于某事向某人表示歉意的信件，通常是由于自己的過錯或不能履行承諾等而做出的道歉。寫作時，一定要態(tài)度誠懇，提供合理的理由，并需在解釋完原因后，盡可能提供一個合適的補(bǔ)救辦法。道歉信曾在2008年英語(一)的小作文中考查過。作為英文應(yīng)用書信的一種，道歉信非常符合考研英語的考查要求，既可考查考生的英語書面表達(dá)能力，尤其是應(yīng)用文的英語表達(dá)能力，又可考查到考生對內(nèi)容要點的歸納、概括、表述能力。一般來說，在考研英語中，道歉信主體部分的寫作可按照三個步驟進(jìn)行，即“三步走”策略。接下來就以題目為例，具體解析一下這個策略。例題：
