Today is a time to celebrate the birth of our nation and the values that have sustained us for 235 years — equality, opportunity, the rights enshrined in our founding documents.This year, we have been reminded again that these are not just American values;they are truly universal values.And as people across North Africa, the Middle East and around the world risk their lives to claim these universal human rights and freedoms, Americans are proud to stand with them.We are united by our common hopes and aspirations for a better world.今天是值得紀念的日子，慶祝我國誕生和維系我們235年之久的價值觀——建國文獻闡明的平等、機會和權利。今年，我們再次認識到，這些不僅僅是美國的價值觀，而是真正普遍適用的價值觀。在北非、中東和世界各地的人民冒著生命危險要求行使這些普遍權利和自由之時，美國人民很自豪地與他們站在一起。我們擁有共同的希望和愿望，齊心協力要求改善全世界的面貌。
