在漢語中，詞與短語的組合方式、結(jié)構(gòu)類型基本相同，以致不少學生無法從外在形式上來辨別。

如： A B

A 組是詞，B 組是短語，僅從形式上很難看出區(qū)別。但詞與短語無論從意義還是用法上，都不盡相同，認識它很有必要?？蓮囊韵滤膫€方面分辨：

一、從構(gòu)成上來區(qū)別

1.看有沒有非自由語素

短語的構(gòu)成單位必須是詞（即自由語素）。詞的構(gòu)成單位是語素?？梢允亲杂烧Z素，也可以是半自由或不自由語素。因此，若一個結(jié)構(gòu)中有非自由語素的存在，則一般是詞。如“骨頭、釘子、人性、異化”等斜體語素是不自由語素?！案泄?、平素、慨嘆、語言”等兩個語素都不是自由語素，故可以肯定它們是詞，不是短語。

2.看有沒有輕聲語素

普通話中有大量的輕聲詞，所以一個語法組合其最后一個語素為輕聲語素（虛詞除外），則該組合一般為詞。如“胡同、相聲”等均有輕聲語素，一定是詞。

需要注意的是：同一語法組合，輕重音還能區(qū)分詞與短語：

如：買賣（m à i）為短語：買和賣；買賣（mai）為詞：生意。

東西（x ī）為短語：指方向；東西（xi）為詞：泛指各種具體的或抽象的事物。

兄弟（d ì）為短語：指哥哥和弟弟；兄弟（di）為詞：指弟弟或別的年紀比自己小的男人。

二、從語音上來區(qū)別

詞的內(nèi)部各語素之間語音上一般是連接的，也就是說語素之間沒有語音停頓。如：“艱”與“苦”、“卓”與“越”、“問”與“題”之間不能停頓；短語的內(nèi)部成分之間在語音上大多是停頓的，如“水火”、“問路”、“頭暈”等，中間都可以有一個短暫的停頓，所以是短語。再者，詞有固定的語音形式，而短語沒有固定的語音形式，如“動員”和“動心”?！皠訂T”有固定的語音形式，第一個音節(jié)讀重音，中間不能停頓，是詞；“動心”則沒有固定的語音形式，兩個音節(jié)都讀重音，中間可以停頓，是短語。不過，有少數(shù)語言單位，既可以是詞又可以是短語，需要根據(jù)具體的語文環(huán)境來衡量。如“大學”、“教學”，表示“高等學校”這個意思的“大學”是詞，表示“廣泛而深入地學習”這個意思的“大學”是短語；指“學校的中心工作”這個意思的“教學”是詞，表示“教和學兩個方面”這個意思的“教學”是短語。

三、從意義上來區(qū)別

一般來說，詞的意義有整體性，即它的意義不是它的語素意義的簡單相加，如“白菜”，專指一種蔬菜，而不是“白”和“菜”的意義相加；可短語的意義就不同了，它一般是由組成短語的幾個詞的意義相加，如“白布”，泛指一切白顏色的布，其意思是“白”和“布”的相加。

四、從能否擴展情況上來區(qū)別

由于詞具有整體意義和凝固性，故在結(jié)構(gòu)上不可再插入其它成分，而短語的組合具有臨時性，內(nèi)部結(jié)構(gòu)松散，當中可以插入其它成分。這種判斷詞與短語的方法叫擴展法，又叫插入法。如：“老虎”與“老人”，“老虎”插入結(jié)構(gòu)助詞“的”之后，意思改變了，因為老虎可以有小老虎、大老虎、不是指“老的虎”，所以“老虎”不能進行擴展，是“詞”；“老人”可以插入“的”字成分，且插入之后，意思基本不變，所以“老人”是“短語”。有這樣一則笑話：
一老師要學生用“難過”造句，一個學生是這樣寫的：“從我家到外婆家去，有一條河很難過。”

顯然，老師要求學生用“難過”造句，是把它當一個詞對待，取“難受”之意，而學生在句中卻把“難過”誤用成了一個短語，是“難得過”的意思。造成錯誤理解的原因是該學生不知道，在現(xiàn)代漢語中，同形的雙音結(jié)構(gòu)的語音單位，在有的語境中是一個詞，在有的語境中可能是一個短語。
例：①我請你吃飯。(“吃飯”是短語，指吃某頓飯)
②共產(chǎn)黨人不靠嚇人吃飯。(“吃飯”是詞，泛指生活或生存)
③你把要帶的東西都收好。(“東西”指物品)
④第一次到北京，出了車站竟不辨東西。(“東西”是短語，指東方和西方，泛指方向)
要把二者區(qū)別開來，首先是在特定的語言里，分析它的語義，一般說來，短語的語義往往是組成它的幾個詞的意義簡單相加，如“有電”就是“有”和“電”兩個詞義的簡單相加。而合成詞的語義，不一定是組成它的語素意義的簡單相加，如“馬路”不能說成“馬的路”。同理，“聽到他去世的消息，我心里很難過”，句中的“難過”是“難受、傷心”的意思，不是語素意義的簡單相加，而“有條河很難過”中的“難過”的意義就是兩個詞義的相加。由此便分辨出了前者是詞，后者是短語。
其次，從語法結(jié)構(gòu)方面考慮，詞的內(nèi)部語素之間結(jié)構(gòu)緊密，具有定型性和不可擴展性；短語內(nèi)部詞與詞之間結(jié)構(gòu)較松，可以拆開，可以擴展(即中間可以插入其它成分)。例①中“我請你吃飯”可以擴展成“我請你吃團圓飯”；而例②中則不能說成“共產(chǎn)黨人不靠嚇人吃早飯”。由此可見，運用擴展法是區(qū)別詞和短語，特別是同音同形的詞和短語的比較可靠的方法。

(三)合成詞和短語(詞組)1.詞和短語的區(qū)別

(1)從意義上來看，詞表達的概念是比較單純的、凝固的，因為一個合成詞的意義并不是各語素所表示的意義的簡單的相加，而短語表示的，則是較為復雜的概念，因而一個短語的意義，一般是各個詞的意義相加。例如，“骨肉”不等于“骨和肉”，是詞，“血肉”卻等于“血和肉”，是短語；“打場”不等于“打場地”，是詞，“打虎”卻等于“打老虎”，是短語。

(2)從結(jié)構(gòu)關(guān)系上來看，合成詞內(nèi)部，語素之間結(jié)合緊密，一般不能插入其他語言成分，而短語內(nèi)部，詞與詞之間的結(jié)合較松散，一般可以插入其他語言成分。例如，“心肺正常”可以說成“心和肺都正?！?，“把我們的血肉筑成我們新的長城”可以說成“把我們的血和肉??”，所以“心肺”、“血肉”是短語；而“他心腸很好”卻不能說成“他心和腸都很好”，“骨肉關(guān)系”也不能說成“骨和肉的關(guān)系”，所以“心腸”“骨肉”都是詞。

(3)從語音停頓上來看，合成詞內(nèi)部語素之間一般沒有語音停頓，短語內(nèi)部詞與詞之間可以有語音停頓。例如，“中華-人民-共和國”其間可以有語音停頓，是短語；“社會主義”“無產(chǎn)階級”，其間沒有語音停頓，是詞。2.詞和短語的關(guān)系

(1)有些短語可以簡化或節(jié)縮為新詞。

(2)有些合成詞可以拆開，中間插入別的語言成分構(gòu)成短語。3.詞和名稱

人和事物的名字就叫名稱。名稱都是由詞或短語來充當?shù)?。有些名稱是由一個詞來充當?shù)?，如“太陽”“化合物”“《吶喊》”“奧斯特洛夫斯基”，有些名稱是由兩個或更多的詞(即短語)來充當?shù)?，如“中國人民解放軍”“《鋼鐵是怎樣煉成的》”等。這種由幾個詞構(gòu)成的名稱，用起來像一個詞一樣，可以獨立地作句子的一個成分，但我們不能說它是一個詞。

“血”字有文白二讀：一讀xuè（文），用作書面語讀音；一讀xiě（白），用作口頭語讀音。但是，書面語和口頭語有時候不大容易區(qū)分，要是按“血”字

用法來區(qū)分，就比較容易掌握了。

“血”用在合成詞和成語中，屬于書面語用法，應讀成xuè。如：血液、血汗、血跡、血案、血本、血統(tǒng)、血親、血色、血債、輸血、貧血、心血、充血、熱血、浴血、血小板、吸血鬼、混血兒、腦溢血、血海深仇、血流如注、頭破血

流、狗血噴頭、有血有肉。

“血”單獨使用或用在短語（詞組）中，屬于口頭語用法，應讀成xiě。如：吐了一口血、血的教訓、血的代價、像血一樣紅（以上屬單用）、血膿、血塊、血斑、雞血、豬血、賣血、獻血、驗血、抽血（以上都是雙音節(jié)短語，它們在普

通話中不列為詞條）。

值得一提的是，漢語的合成詞與短語之間的界限，語法學界至今尚未徹底解決。不過在通常情況下還是可以區(qū)分的，哪就是看它們的概念上的差異以及內(nèi)部的結(jié)合關(guān)系緊密與否。合成詞概念是單純的、固定的，不是語素意義的簡單相加，其內(nèi)部的結(jié)合關(guān)系比較緊密；而短語所表在賓？概念缺乏專指性，是幾個詞的意義的總和，其內(nèi)部的結(jié)合關(guān)系比較松馳。例如：“流血犧牲”、“流血事件”中的“流血”特指“犧牲生命或負傷”，因此是合成詞，應該讀xuè（詞典上有）；而例1中的“流血過多”的“流血”，并非指“犧牲生命或負傷”，而是指“流出的血”，因此是短語，應該讀xiě（詞典上不收“流血xiě”）。短語的內(nèi)部結(jié)構(gòu)關(guān)系比較松馳，它可以插入一些別的詞語。例如：“雞血→雞的血”、“獻血→獻了一次血”、“抽血→抽了血→抽一點血”、“流血→流了點血→流出了血”。而合成詞的內(nèi)部結(jié)構(gòu)比較緊密，一般是不能插入別的詞語的，如“血水”不可說成“血和水”、“血球”不可說成“血凝成的球”；只有少數(shù)動賓式的合成詞內(nèi)部可以插入別的詞語，如“輸血”可以說“輸了一次血”、“輸300CC血”，但它還是合成詞，因為它是醫(yī)學上的專門術(shù)語，不是語素意義的簡單相加，不等于“輸送血液”。

當然，特例也有。那就是幾個口語詞，如“吐血、咯（kǎ）血、便血、血糊糊、血淋淋”和成語“一針見血”中的“血”要讀成xiě。筆者發(fā)現(xiàn)詞典上含有“血”字的成語中，只有“一針見血”的“血”注音為xiě，其余都注音為xuè。究其原因，大概是“一針見血”這個成語來源于群眾口語的緣故吧。記住了特例，其余場合的“血”字，只要掌握了它的用法，也就掌握了它的讀音。如果還不放心，那么可以查《現(xiàn)代漢語詞典》或《漢語成語詞典》。

3、轉(zhuǎn)折關(guān)系：however，but，yet，in fact等等。
