圖表作文是graph、diagram、chart、table、picture等數(shù)據(jù)來(lái)闡述論題的一種英語(yǔ)作文形式。圖表英語(yǔ)作文既能考察學(xué)生的寫(xiě)作能力，有要求學(xué)生有較高的觀察力和想象力，是很好的測(cè)試題型。致使近幾年，英語(yǔ)圖表作文在高考英語(yǔ)中出現(xiàn)的頻率明顯增加。

目前高考英語(yǔ)中出現(xiàn)較多的圖表作文主要分為表格或者圖形兩種類(lèi)型。表格形式作文是將統(tǒng)計(jì)的數(shù)據(jù)或被說(shuō)明的事物直接用表格形式體現(xiàn)出來(lái)。圖形形式作文是用圖形表示數(shù)據(jù)變化、或者表示數(shù)據(jù)大小或數(shù)量之間的差異、異或內(nèi)部結(jié)構(gòu)變化等等。
