The situation of our environment seems to be more urgent.Well, from my own perspective, I cannot tell you which is more urgent, The pollution or the space project like manned station on the moon.Whereas I can find the necessity to invest the space research.I'd like to share a little story at first.400 years ago, An earl in Germany devoted himself in helping the poor people who is in a plague.But one day, he met a weirdo who is addicted to a kind of science research--he put some lenses together to watch tiny things.The earl financed him for his research.But other people thought the earl is crazy because he spend the money on a meaningless thing and the sick people cannot get enough support as before.In the end of the story, the weirdo invented the microscope and with the help of microscope, the modern medicine took a great leap and most plague have been eliminated.The situation we faced is similar to the story.Our government spend 3% of the total budget into the technology field, and the space technology only be a small part of the field.According to the same financial budget report, nearly 4% of the total budget will be used in environment improvement.I agree to invest more in the environment with no hesitate, but the pollution problem cannot be easily solve by aborting the space project.On the contrary, I think the space project would honestly help to deal with the pollution.The first step to handle the pollution problem is that we must be able to find it, monitor it and analyze it.Just take the dust daze these days for an example, we must have the related technical equipments to monitor the amount of PM(particulate matter).It is the technology that we call for.The second step to control the problem is to reduce the pollution.The polluted water and gas need to be purified, the more efficiency the purify devices are, the less pollution.It is also the technology that we demand.The space project breeds the best technology.The scientists need to find new methods, new materials and new systems to fulfill the requirements of a space project.At the same time, those high technology can be also applied in our daily life.Better water purify system, better air quality monitor, even better produce line with lower pollution.The space project like “shenzhou” and “chang’e” cannot directly reduce the pollution, but the benefits from it would be numerous.Beside the technology from space project, the space research can promote the pace of standard science.The physics, the chemistry, the biology and so on, all of them are very vital to the environment problems.The space research provide so many opportunities to those scientists that can enhance the continuous curiosity to the world
