一．自我介紹：

Honorable Judges, Ladies and gentlemen, Fellow students, Good morning/afternoon:

尊敬的評(píng)委，先生們，女士們，各位同學(xué)們，早上/下午好！

I’m very glad to be here.My name is Wangqihang.非常高興能參加比賽。我的名字叫王啟珩。

I’m ten years old.I come from Huanxi primary school.I’m in Class 3, Grade 5.我今年10歲。我來(lái)自環(huán)西小學(xué)，現(xiàn)在五年級(jí)三班。

As a happy boy，I have many hobbies, such as sports, playing piano, singing, and drawing.我是一個(gè)快樂(lè)男孩。我有許多愛(ài)好，比如體育運(yùn)動(dòng)，彈鋼琴，唱歌，畫(huà)畫(huà)等。

Among them, travel is my favorist one.I have visited some other cities, like Beijing, Hainan, Chongqing, Guangxi, Qindao, Dalian and so on.旅游是我的最?lèi)?ài)。我去過(guò)不少地方，如北京，海南，重慶，廣西，青島，大連等。

Everywhere I went, I enjoyed the natural scenery and appreciated the human landscape very much.每到一處都盡情享受那的自然風(fēng)光與人文風(fēng)情。

Not only that, I want to go abroad to take in the beauty of the custom of other countries in the future.不僅如此，我還希望能出國(guó)領(lǐng)略各國(guó)的民俗風(fēng)情。

And I even dream about what the life will be when we are on planets other than our Earth.甚至我還夢(mèng)想著在地球外的其它星球上生活將會(huì)是怎樣的。

That is why I’m so interested in the following scientific report recently.所以最近我對(duì)下面這篇科學(xué)報(bào)道非常感興趣。

It is a report about the new planet which holds possibility for life.這是一篇關(guān)于發(fā)現(xiàn)了一顆有生命可能性的星球的報(bào)告。

It shows that European astronomers have discovered a new planet, they name it Gliese 581 c.說(shuō)歐洲天文學(xué)家們發(fā)現(xiàn)了一顆新的星球，代號(hào)為“Gliese 581C”。

It is about 20.5 light years from our earth.They estimated the planet's average temperature at between 0 and 40 degrees Centigrade.It is orbiting the red dwarf star, Gliese 581.它距地球約20.5光年。他們估計(jì)它的平均溫度約在0℃～40℃之間。它圍繞著紅矮星Gliese 581運(yùn)行。

Most important of all, it’s an earth-like planet.There might be mountin, sea and liquid water.最重要的是，這顆星球和地球非常相似，它可能有山巒，有海洋，還有液態(tài)水。

Everyday, I go to school cheerfully in the morning and skip along at the way home as the sun set.清爽的早晨，我可以背著小書(shū)包高高興興地去上學(xué)。夕陽(yáng)西下，我又蹦又跳地回到家。

We could experience changes through the four seasons of one year.一年四季有變化。

Spring is the season sowing seeds.It is pregnant with life and green.春天是播種的季節(jié)，充滿了生機(jī)和綠色。

In the Summer, colorful swimming suits frolick in the water happily.夏天五顔六色的游泳衣在水里歡快地嬉戲。

Autumn is the harvest season , the paddy fields and trees are covered with golden color.秋天是豐收的季節(jié)，金黃鋪滿了稻田灑滿了枝頭。

In the winter，We can have snow battle, playing to our hearts' content in the world of silvery white.冬天我們打著雪仗，盡情地在銀白色的世界里玩耍。

How fortunate we are because we can live on the earth!

We should cherish it, instead of polluting it, spoiling it or even destroying it.我們要珍惜它，千萬(wàn)別污染它，別糟踐它，別破壞它！

If One day, it is really angry and stop rotation, that will have be a disaster for us human being.如果有那么一天，它真的生了氣停止了自轉(zhuǎn)，那將是我們整個(gè)人類(lèi)的巨大災(zāi)難。

So, let us protect our earth with our love, making it better and more harmonious.所以，讓我們大家用自己的愛(ài)來(lái)好好保護(hù)宇宙中這顆唯一的地球吧，使它更美好更合諧。

Ladies and gentlemen, Now let me show you a story about the monkey and the moon.先生們女士們，現(xiàn)在我給大家表演一個(gè)關(guān)于猴子與月亮的故事。

One day,　a little monkey is playing by the well.一天，有只小猴子在井邊玩兒。

He looks in the well and shouts :

它往井里一瞧，高喊道：

“Oh!My god!The moon has fallen into the well!”

“噢！我的天！月亮掉到井里頭啦！”

An older monkeys runs over, takes a look,　and says,一只大猴子跑來(lái)一看，說(shuō)，“Goodness me!The moon is really in the water!”

And the oldest monkey comes over.老猴子也跑過(guò)來(lái)。

He is very surprised as well and cries out:

A group of monkeys run over to the well.一群猴子跑到井邊來(lái)，They look at the moon in the well and shout:

Then,　the oldest monkey hangs on the tree up side down ,with his feet on the branch.然后，老猴子倒掛在大樹(shù)上，And he pulls the next monkey’s feet with his hands.拉住大猴子的腳，All the other monkeys follow his suit,其他的猴子一個(gè)個(gè)跟著，And they join each other one by one down to the moon in the well.它們一只連著一只直到井里。

Just before they reach the moon, the oldest monkey raises his head and happens to see the moon in the sky,正好他們摸到月亮的時(shí)候，老猴子抬頭發(fā)現(xiàn)月亮掛在天上呢

He yells excitedly “Don’t be so foolish!The moon is still in the sky!”

它興奮地大叫：“別蠢了！月亮還好好地掛在天上呢！”

Long long ago, in a land far away, there lived a beautiful young girl.She was very sad.Because her mother had died and her father had married again.His new wife had two ugly daughters, Esmerelda and Griselda

Soon after, her father also died and life immediately（立即）changed for the girl．

“You will be our servant（仆人）, ”said her stepmother（繼母）.“You will do everything we say.”

“You must sleep in the kitchens.” said the stepsisters．

There she had to do hard work from morning until evening, get up before daybreak（黎明）, carry water, make the fires, cook, and wash.Besides（除了）this, the sisters did everything imaginable（可以想象）to hurt her.They made fun of her.In the evening when she had worked herself weary（厭倦）, there was no bed for her.Instead she had to sleep by the hearth in the ashes（灰）.And because she always looked dusty（塵土飛揚(yáng)）and dirty, they called her Cinderella.“There are cinders（煤渣）all over your clothes!” exclaimed（喊叫）the stepmother.“ Cinderella.That's your new name.Clear these things away, Cinderella.”

”We shall all have new dresses, girls, and we shall go shopping today.Clear away these things, Cinderella.“

'Oh, I wish I could go to the ball,' thought（認(rèn)為）Cinderella.The day of the ball arrived and the whole day was spent preparing Esmerelda and Griselda.Cinderella did her best to make the sisters look pretty, but it was an impossible task.Finally, the coach arrived to collect the girls and their mother.Cinderella was very tired and she wandered back to the kitchens.”O(jiān)h, I did so want to go,“ she sighed（嘆氣）as she sat down by the fire.”What's to stop you?“ asked a voice（聲音）.”Who's that?“ asked Cinderella, looking around.”I'm here by the door.“ A strange woman walked up to Cinderella.”I heard you the other day, wishing you could go to the ball.Well, the ball is this evening, and you're going.“

“Yes,” said Cinderella, mystified（迷惑）by the request（請(qǐng)求）.“Off you go, then.”

When Cinderella found all the things, her fairy godmother took them all outside.“Now for the magic,” she said.She waved（揮舞）her hands and the air began to twinkle（閃爍）and sparkle（閃光）.The pumpkin began to grow and change, until standing there was a coach.The mice changed into two fine footmen（步兵）, the frog into the driver, and the rats（老鼠）into two beautiful horses to pull the coach.Cinderella clapped（拍）her hands.“It's beautiful!” she cried.“In you get,” said her fairy godmother.“But I can't go like this,” said Cinderella.“Like what?” asked the fairy godmother.“You look lovely to me.”

Cinderella looked at herself.While the magic had been working on the pumpkin, it had also been working on her.Instead of her ragged（破爛）dress she wore a beautiful ball gown（晚禮服）, with glass slippers（玻璃鞋）on her feet.“Oh, fairy godmother,” said Cinderella.“It's lovely.How can I thank you?”

“Good-bye, fairy godmother,” called Cinderella, as the coach swept off.Cinderella arrived at the palace（皇宮）and walked into the ballroom.Everyone stopped and stared（看著）.“Who is she?” people asked, including her stepmother and stepsisters.The prince saw her, and had eyes for no one else for the rest of the evening.Cinderella danced only with the prince（王子）, and as the evening passed, he fell in love with her.A clock chiming（報(bào)時(shí)）reminded Cinderella of her fairy godmother's warning（警告）.'It must be eleven o'clock,' she thought（告知）, but she asked the prince.“What time is it?”

“Almost midnight,” he answered.“Oh, no!” cried Cinderella.“I must go!”

“You can't.Not now,” said the prince.“I must.” And Cinderella swept out of the room, and ran out of the palace.As she ran, the clock finished chiming.Cinderella's clothes changed back into rags（破布）, and the coach and horses were nowhere to be seen.The prince tried to follow, but he couldn't catch up.When he reached（走到）the door, all he found was one glass slipper.He ran to the main door.“Was a beautiful girl just driven（趕）out of here?” he asked the guard（士兵）.“No, your Highness.I've only seen a scruffy servant（邋遢的仆人）girl,” the guard answered.“I've lost her,” said the prince, and he returned sadly to the palace.The next morning, Cinderella's stepmother and stepsisters were talking about the ball.The prince meanwhile（同時(shí)）decided to look for the mysterious（神秘）girl he had fallen in love with.He issued（發(fā)表）a proclamation（公告）.“Whoever the glass shoe fits（合適）, shall be wife to the prince.”

The prince and his footman（仆人）went from house to house of all the ladies invited to the ball.He finally arrived at the stepmother's house.“It's my shoe!” cried Esmerelda, trying desperately（穿）to pull the shoe on.“please, miss!” said the footman.“Your foot is too big.you will break the slipper（玻璃鞋）.”

Griselda tried the shoe, but her toes were far too long.“Is there anyone else?” asked the prince.“There's only Cinderella, the maid（女仆）,” said the stepmother.“But she wasn't even at the ball.”

“All the ladies in the kingdom（王國(guó)）must try the slipper,” said the footman.Cinderella was called from the kitchen.Esmerelda and Griselda laughed when they saw how dirty she was.But their laughter turned to tears when they saw Cinderella's foot slide easily into the slipper.“Oh!” they cried.“It fits!”

The prince looked at Cinderella and realised that she was the girl that he had fallen in love with.Cinderella took the other slipper from her pocket（口袋）and put it on.The prince was happy to have found her, and on a bright sunny day, he and Cinderella were married.They lived happily ever after.很久以前，在一個(gè)遙遠(yuǎn)的地方，住著一個(gè)年輕漂亮的姑娘。

“不，殿下。我只看到了邋遢的仆人（邋遢的仆人）的女孩，”門(mén)衛(wèi)回答。

“所有在國(guó)（王國(guó)）女士們必須設(shè)法拖鞋，說(shuō)：”聽(tīng)差。

灰姑娘被稱為從廚房。Esmerelda和Griselda笑了，他們看到她有多臟。但是，他們的笑聲變成了眼淚，當(dāng)他們看到灰姑娘到拖鞋的腳滑容易。

“哦！”他們喊著?！八m合！”

王子看著灰姑娘，并意識(shí)到她是他已經(jīng)愛(ài)上了女孩。

梁勵(lì)敏，生于浙江杭州，畢業(yè)于北京外國(guó)語(yǔ)大學(xué)，獲英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)言文學(xué)碩士學(xué)位，研究生期間專攻方向?yàn)槊绹?guó)社會(huì)研究。2002年進(jìn)入中央電視臺(tái)英語(yǔ)頻道采訪組工作，所采寫(xiě)的新聞獲得2003年全國(guó)新聞彩虹獎(jiǎng)二等獎(jiǎng)。

專家點(diǎn)評(píng):引用文學(xué)大師的詩(shī)句作為開(kāi)場(chǎng)白，與結(jié)束語(yǔ)首尾呼應(yīng)，頗有感染力。東西方文化的融合表現(xiàn)得十分鮮明，意味深長(zhǎng)，是篇優(yōu)秀的演講。crossing the sea good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen.the title of my speech today is crossing the sea.an english poet by the name of rudyard kipling once wrote in his poem we and they: all the people like us are we and everyone else is they we live over the sea while they live over the way we eat pork and beef with cowhorn-handled knives they who gobble their rice off a leaf are horrified out of their lives.when these lines first caught my eyes, i was shocked-how could two peoples remain so isolated and ignorant of each other in the past? todays society, of course, is an entirely different picture.those people who used to eat with cowhorn-handled knives might be very skillful in using chopsticks, and those people who used to gobble their rice might be as well have taken to fish and chips.indeed, just take china as an example: our modern life has been influenced by western style of living in so many ways that its no longer surprising to see teenagers going crazy about rock-and-roll, whole families dining out at mcdonalds and even rather elderly people dressed in apple jeans.however, these are only some expressions of the cultural changes taking place in our society today.what is really going on is a subtle but significant restructuring of the nations mentality.just look around.it is therefore evident that we as descendants of an ancient eastern civilization are already living under strong inf1uence of the western culture.but it is not only in china that we find the incorporation of the two cultures.take the chinese acupuncture as another example: this traditional treatment of diseases is finally finding its way to the west and hence the underlying notion that illness is resulted from the imbalance between yin and yang within the body--an idea which would strike any westerner as incredible in the past!ladies and gentlemen, we live in a great epoch when the global integration of economy and the information revolution have brought cultures of the world closer than ever before.we live in a particular era when countries, east and west, find themselves in need of readjusting their traditional values.we live, at the same time, at a critical juncture of our evolution because such problems as ethnic conflicts and regional unrest are increasingly posing a threat to the peace and happiness of the whole human race.to cope with such an era and to embrace an even brighter therefore, it is our sacred responsibility to promote the cultural exchanges and hence the mutual understanding between china and the rest of the world.it is my happiest dream that the new generation of chinese will not only grow up drinking coca-cola and watching hollywood, but also be blessed with the far-reaching benefits of multiple cultures;benefits that our forefathers had never, ever dreamed of.to end my speech, i would like to quote rudyard kipling again: all the people like us are we and everyone else is they but once you cross over the sea you will end by looking on we as only a sort of they thank you.譯文:穿越海洋

第一次讀到這首詩(shī)，我很震驚——過(guò)去兩個(gè)民族何以如此疏離、彼此陌生?當(dāng)然今日的社會(huì)呈現(xiàn)出完全不同的情景:那些過(guò)去吃米飯的人們也開(kāi)始喜歡吃魚(yú)和薯?xiàng)l。的確如此，就拿中國(guó)來(lái)說(shuō)，西方的生活方式已經(jīng)廣泛地影響了我們的現(xiàn)代生活，以致對(duì)于年輕人對(duì)搖滾樂(lè)著迷，全家去吃麥當(dāng)勞，老年人穿蘋(píng)果牌牛仔褲，大家都已習(xí)以為常。

然而，這不過(guò)是我們當(dāng)今社會(huì)中所發(fā)生的文化變遷的表面現(xiàn)象而已，真正發(fā)生的卻是我們的民族心理開(kāi)始了微妙而又有重大意義的重建，大家只要看看周?chē)蜁?huì)清楚。

青春
