了解口試評分原則與方法

在口試過程中口試教師依照口試評分標(biāo)準(zhǔn)進(jìn)行評分，而不對兩名考生的口試情況作任何比較?？谠嚱處熞勒湛谠嚫鞴?jié)的全部考查內(nèi)容對考生進(jìn)行口語評價(jià)，而且依照其中的某一部分獨(dú)立評分。

當(dāng)然，不要期待每個(gè)口試教師都會(huì)千篇一律地用這種方式開始面試，正像不要期待每個(gè)口試教師都用非常正式的問題開始提問一樣，要準(zhǔn)備迎接各種不同的面孔和問題，口試教師畢竟是人，不是機(jī)器。

2.口試教師的第二個(gè)目的，同時(shí)也是一個(gè)順理成章的結(jié)果，是得到有關(guān)考生英語水平的初步印象。這一印象對于考生的最后得分至關(guān)重要。因?yàn)楦鶕?jù)心理學(xué)測試的結(jié)果，一個(gè)有經(jīng)驗(yàn)的面試官可以在口試開始后1-2分鐘之內(nèi)得出對考生評判的結(jié)論，而無需等到口試結(jié)束。在余下的時(shí)間里，口試教師多半都在按照自己初步結(jié)論的慣性思維，從考生的回答中有意無意地尋找符合自己所做結(jié)論的證據(jù)來進(jìn)一步證實(shí)自己的結(jié)論是正確的。其實(shí)這種思維方式不僅體現(xiàn)在各種口試中，也普遍存在于社會(huì)生活的方方面面，我們對于一個(gè)人或任何事物在最初接觸時(shí)形成的第一印象往往是很難改變的，除非發(fā)生什么戲劇性的情況，這種印象經(jīng)常是占據(jù)主導(dǎo)地位的。

這就意味著我們應(yīng)該特別注意對第一階段最初幾個(gè)問題的回答，盡管它們都是非常簡單的問題，考生絕不能掉以輕心，忽視對這些簡單問題的回答。有些考生在回答這些簡單問題時(shí)甚至?xí)敢恍┑图夊e(cuò)誤，給口試教師留下不好的第一印象，也影響了自己后面的正常發(fā)揮。例如：

i: “what do you do?”

c: “i’m talking with you.”

上面兩句中口試教師明明在問：“你是做什么的？”考生卻回答：“我正在跟你談話?！笨梢韵胂?，這樣的回答會(huì)對考生產(chǎn)生多么不利的第一印象。

口語考試不僅應(yīng)該用口，還要用心回答每個(gè)問題。在回答任何問題時(shí)，不要慌慌張張地急于切入主題，大腦中迅速思考一下這個(gè)問題可能涉及到的后續(xù)問題，盡量把話題引到自己比較熟悉而口試教師又可能感興趣的話題上，而不要匆忙中為自己設(shè)下一個(gè)陷阱。比如當(dāng)口試教師問你曾經(jīng)做過哪些職業(yè)或從事過哪些業(yè)余活動(dòng)時(shí)，如果你的回答是“i like singing”就可能被問到更多有關(guān)singing的問題，如“who is your favourite singer?”“what is your favourite song?”“why do you like him/her/it?”等等。這就要求考生在考前要做好相應(yīng)的準(zhǔn)備，考試中才能應(yīng)對自如，輕松過關(guān)。

三、聽說一體促進(jìn)提高口語水平

我們學(xué)習(xí)口語目的是為了與別人進(jìn)行交流，所以英語口語中的幾個(gè)要素的重要次序應(yīng)為：流利—準(zhǔn)確—恰當(dāng)。也就是說，我們應(yīng)更注重與人交流的能力而不是僅僅把重點(diǎn)放在語法的正確性上。

首先，我講講我們的學(xué)生在英語口語學(xué)習(xí)中主要存在的障礙：

①過于追求學(xué)習(xí)的捷徑，爭于求成，沒有真正踏踏實(shí)實(shí)地去接觸大量的英語材料。②套用中文思維方式去學(xué)英語，而不是采用英語思維方式。中國學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的常用方法是大量地記憶單詞，或大量做題，卻不進(jìn)入英語本身的語言符號系統(tǒng)中去，而這正是“啞巴英語”產(chǎn)生的根源。

③把英語當(dāng)成嚴(yán)密的科學(xué)來學(xué)，說話之前首先看是否符合語法，始終用語法來思維。在英語學(xué)習(xí)中，邏輯思維的運(yùn)用是必要的，但更重要的是還要運(yùn)用日常表達(dá)的習(xí)慣性思維。那么針對這些主要障礙，我提出以下幾個(gè)相對有效的學(xué)習(xí)方法：

1.通過大量的聽力練習(xí)，自覺培養(yǎng)英語思維習(xí)慣

語言輸入的一個(gè)重要途徑之一就是聽。大家知道，口語學(xué)習(xí)的關(guān)鍵是要模仿地道的英語，如果你找不到老外或是練習(xí)口語的對象，你可以從聽力材料中借力。聽力材料需包括校園、社會(huì)、科普等話題，在進(jìn)行聽力練習(xí)的時(shí)候，從中總結(jié)口語表達(dá)的語言套路，并加以演練，這樣你的口語聽起來就會(huì)顯得洋味十足。開始練習(xí)時(shí)速度可以慢一些，要逐步使自己跟上磁帶的朗讀速度。

具體步驟：先放錄音磁帶，聽段落大意，理解整個(gè)故事的情節(jié)；再放錄音，盡量聽懂每一句話，實(shí)在聽不懂再去看書，搞明白每一個(gè)單詞的意思。然后，放一句，暫停，模仿錄音讀一句；然后，放下一句，暫停，再學(xué)一句，中間可以回放。當(dāng)你對文章的發(fā)音、語調(diào)完全掌握之后，就要在放錄音的同時(shí)同步跟讀。爭取讓自己的聲音與錄音磁帶完全重合。如果中間有結(jié)巴的地方也不要緊，繼續(xù)讀下去，然后再回來重讀。最后，關(guān)掉錄音機(jī)，朗誦課文。注意使用學(xué)到的語音語調(diào)。

2.復(fù)述練習(xí)：通過大量閱讀，提高英語思維能力

了解英漢兩種語言的思維差異需要在平時(shí)的閱讀中不斷地感受、體會(huì)、積累。由于受母語的影響，有些人講英語往往是先在頭腦中出現(xiàn)漢語，然后才是英語，因此就出現(xiàn)了不顧思維差異的“中式英語”現(xiàn)象。解決這一問題的方法就是加大英語閱讀量，多讀一些簡易讀物。要想提高口語表達(dá)水平，所讀的語言材料能夠朗朗上口。你可以試著把自己所讀過的章節(jié)或

剛剛讀過的小故事用英語復(fù)述出來。相信用這樣的方法練習(xí)，一定會(huì)提高口語表達(dá)的流利程度，并逐步擺脫母語的影響，逐漸形成用英語思維的習(xí)慣。正是鑒于這一點(diǎn)，本書第三、四章的長難句及第五、六章的語義段落均選編自口語功能較強(qiáng)的英語國家原版期刊，考生必須對照磁帶上英、美專家的朗讀，加強(qiáng)自己的跟讀練習(xí)。

3.堅(jiān)持背誦和朗讀英語，培養(yǎng)英語語感和英語思維能力

在學(xué)漢語時(shí)，我們知道“熟讀唐詩三百首，不會(huì)作詩也會(huì)吟”，英語學(xué)習(xí)也是這樣，可以這么說，如能熟背英語九百句，口語交流的基本障礙就會(huì)被掃除。在實(shí)際生活中，在各種不同的情景或場合、對不同的對象表達(dá)某一意念時(shí)常使用的習(xí)慣用語并不太多。這些用語大多具有固定的句型，往往不能用漢譯英的方式直譯出來。一個(gè)對口語句型掌握熟練的人，只要掌握2500~3000個(gè)常用詞和短語，就能較自由地表達(dá)自己的思想。而朗讀英語實(shí)際是在“磨牙”、練口腔肌肉，是純粹的“體力活”。成年人英語講不好很大程度上是因?yàn)橹v英文時(shí)舌頭不靈活，沒有講英文的習(xí)慣。找一些英文段落、繞口令或者典型句型，反復(fù)大聲讀，直到舌、齒靈活。我相信只要持之以恒，通過朗讀發(fā)聲訓(xùn)練完全可以提高“口齒”伶俐程度。同時(shí)，朗讀會(huì)不斷刺激大腦，強(qiáng)化英語語感和英語思維能力。

4.通過英漢口譯練習(xí)，鍛煉英語思維

首先要選擇地道的漢英（或英漢）對照讀物，選好材料后，先讀漢語部分，然后逐句口譯成英文，完成一小段后，再對照書上的英文部分并與自己的口譯進(jìn)行比較，就可以發(fā)現(xiàn)口譯中的錯(cuò)誤、不足以及一點(diǎn)一滴的進(jìn)步。這種比較過程，就像一位高級教師在指導(dǎo)你，一些我們在學(xué)習(xí)英語課文時(shí)熟視無睹的地道的英語用法通過比較會(huì)被重新發(fā)現(xiàn)和認(rèn)識(shí)。進(jìn)行這種“back translation”練習(xí)，開始時(shí)要選擇較簡單的讀物，而且應(yīng)大量地做，只做一兩篇效果是不明顯的。這種練習(xí)在最初的時(shí)候可能進(jìn)展緩慢，費(fèi)時(shí)較多，但這是一個(gè)啟動(dòng)、加速的過程，只要堅(jiān)持下去，練上一段時(shí)間后你的翻譯速度就會(huì)大大加快。經(jīng)過大量的練習(xí)，你會(huì)有這樣的感覺：你的翻譯水平大大加強(qiáng)了，你的口語表達(dá)能力大大提高了！你的口譯（語）能力和英語思維能力同步增長！<本書的第三、四章所運(yùn)用的英文語句，我們都基本上采用直譯的方式譯成漢語與其原文按對照方式排列，這樣就是為了方便考生進(jìn)行“back translation”的練習(xí)>

5.尋找學(xué)伴一起練習(xí)口語

英語角是個(gè)不錯(cuò)的地方，在那我們不但可以練習(xí)口語，還可以交流英語學(xué)習(xí)經(jīng)驗(yàn)，開拓視野，提高英語學(xué)習(xí)興趣。如果找不到學(xué)伴或參加英語角的機(jī)會(huì)很少，那么也沒有關(guān)系，有很多種方法可以自己練習(xí)口語。比如通過自己對自己來創(chuàng)造英語環(huán)境?？梢詫ψ约好枋鏊吹降木拔?，英語口述自己正在做的事情。

6.聽譯法—角色互換：三人一組，模擬翻譯實(shí)戰(zhàn)

一人說漢語，一人說英語，扮演老外，一人作翻譯。練習(xí)一段時(shí)間后互換角色。這是一種非常好的翻譯訓(xùn)練方法，也是很好的相互學(xué)習(xí)，取長補(bǔ)短的方法，而且可大大提高反應(yīng)速度和能力。在這樣的練習(xí)中要特別注意短語(詞組)和小詞的運(yùn)用，中國式的英語尤其是口語，一個(gè)很大的缺點(diǎn)就是學(xué)生喜歡用大詞，而真正地道的英語口語卻是充滿著短小、活潑、生動(dòng)的短語，富有生氣。而這些短語大部分有小詞構(gòu)成。

另外，如果可能我們也可以大聲且快速朗讀英文繞口令(就像相聲演員練嘴)，還可以同時(shí)口中含塊糖以加大強(qiáng)化訓(xùn)練的力度。這樣來強(qiáng)化我們的口腔肌肉迅速適應(yīng)英文發(fā)音，使我們的口語相當(dāng)流利、清晰，而且還有自信。
