補(bǔ)充：在酒店里所使用的英語會話，基本上是屬于商業(yè)英語，與日常生活會話中所使用的英語略有不同，較注重禮節(jié)。例如：

請問您貴姓大名？

Do you want some tea?

Would you like some tea? 您要喝茶嗎？

請問您想喝茶嗎？

不要說OK, Sure, Yeah等等，而要說Certainly, Sir.Hey, uh-huh, Hold on 等等，也不適合在酒店中使用。

可以說“just a moment, please.I’ll check that for you.”（請稍候，我來幫您確認(rèn)），然后請有能力處理的人前來協(xié)助。

對男性客人，尊稱為Sir;面對女性客人時(shí)尊稱為Ms.在招呼客人時(shí)，最好說“Excuse me, Sir(Ms)”, 不要直接稱呼Mr.或Ms.二.基本待客英語

一）在正式的英語表現(xiàn)里，疑問基本句型可分為下列四種：

1.May I ~

2.Could you ~

Would you ~

4.Shall I ~?

只要理解這四種基本的句型，就可以處理大部分業(yè)務(wù)上的狀況。

1． 自己要做什么事時(shí)，就使用May I ~ May I have your name, please?

我能知道你的名字嗎？（請問尊姓大名）

May I have your check-out time, please? 請問您什么時(shí)候結(jié)帳離開？

May I see your passport, please? 請讓我看一下您的護(hù)照好嗎？

May I know your nationality, please? 請問您的國籍是什么？

2． 麻煩客人時(shí)，可使用Could you ~ Could you fill out the form, please? 請您填寫這張表格好嗎？

Could you write that down, please? 請您寫下來好嗎？

Could you draft the fax, please? 請您寫下傳真的草稿好嗎？

Could you hold the line, please? 請不要掛電話好嗎？

3． 詢問客人的喜好或是做什么時(shí)，可使用Would you ~ Would you like tea or coffee?（would like。。要，想要。。）請問您要喝茶還是咖啡？

Would you like to take a taxi? 請問您要搭計(jì)程車嗎？

Would you mind sitting here? 請問您介意坐在這里嗎？

只要在疑問詞后加“Would you ~”，就可以提出大部分的詢問。

When would you like to visit Kunshan? 請問您想要何時(shí)參觀昆山？

Where would you like to have lunch? 請問您想在哪里用餐？

What time would you like to eat? 請問您想何時(shí)用餐？

Who would you like to contact? 請問您想和誰聯(lián)絡(luò)？

Which kind of room would you prefer? 請問您喜歡哪一種房間？

How would you like to settle your bill? 請問您的賬單如何處理？

How long would you like to stay? 請問您要逗留多久？

How many tickets would you like to buy? 請問您要買幾張票？

4． 在提供建議協(xié)助、征求意見時(shí)，可使用Shall I ~ 或Would you like me to do ~? Shall I draw the curtains? 請問需要我把窗簾拉上嗎？

Shall I draw you a map?

請問要我為您畫一張地圖嗎？

Shall I make the reservation for you? 請問要我為您安排預(yù)約嗎？

二）招呼語

Good morning.(用于中午以前)

Good afternoon.(用于中午至下午六點(diǎn)以前)Good evening.(用于下午六點(diǎn)過后)

1）拒絕客人時(shí)，不要一口回絕說“No.”，要委婉一些。

I am afraid I can’t do that.不好意思，我恐怕沒辦法那樣做。

I am afraid Mr.Lin is out at the moment.He should be back around 5 p.m.不好意思，林先生現(xiàn)在外出。他應(yīng)該會在下午5點(diǎn)左右回來。

2）道歉

如果是自己個(gè)人的錯(cuò)就說“I am sorry.”;如果是公司、單位、酒店。。的錯(cuò)，就說：“We are sorry.”。

I am very sorry for the delay.很抱歉延誤了時(shí)間

I am very sorry for the inconvenience.很抱歉造成您的不便。

3）客人對自己說“Thank you.”時(shí)回答

You are welcome.不客氣。

4）交給客人某些東西時(shí)，可以說

Here you are.給你。

邀請吃飯

邀請老外去吃飯，一般有以下常用句式：

I wonder if you have time this evening?

我想知道您今晚是否有空？

Would you be interested in dinner with me ?

今晚能請您吃個(gè)飯嗎？

Which kind of restaurant do you prefer, Chinese or Western?

您喜歡去中餐廳還是西餐廳呢？

I'll pick you up at 7:00 pm, if it's ok with you.如果合適的話，我晚上7點(diǎn)去接您。

用餐口語

我們來談?wù)勔恍┰诓蛷d內(nèi)會用到的句子，以及一些跟吃飯有關(guān)的單字片語，相信從此以后到美國餐廳用餐不再是件難事。

1.Do you like to go out eating?

想不想出去吃呢?

有次我問老美出去吃東西怎么說，他回答說一般出去吃飯，他們只說go to eat , go out eating 或是eat out 而不會說go to dinner, go for lunch，也就是不需特地說中餐或是晚餐。所以后來老美問我剛?cè)ツ牧?，我?yīng)該要說的I just went out eating, 而不會說I just went to dinner.小明細(xì)多注意，你的英文會更棒。

如果要強(qiáng)調(diào)是去吃午餐或晚餐的話，一般就直接說lunch 或是dinner.例如人家問你，“Where did you go?” 你就可答說“Lunch.”

2.There is a Deli over there, do you like it?

那里有一家Deli（餐廳），你喜不喜歡呢？

美國的餐廳可分很多種，Restaurant 是一般的通稱，另外常用到的有Deli: 供應(yīng)三明治，沙拉這種現(xiàn)成的，不需再經(jīng)過烹調(diào)的餐廳，例如SUBWAY 就可以算是Deli.另外還有Grill 也隨處可見，翻譯成烤肉餐廳，多半是提供牛排，漢堡熱食類的食物。

Deli 這個(gè)字是delicatessen 的簡寫，可是現(xiàn)今在美國一般只會聽到deli 而很少聽到delicatessen 了!

3.What do you like to drink?

想要喝什么？

美國餐廳的習(xí)慣，吃飯時(shí)都會點(diǎn)一大杯飲料，所以侍者一定會先問你What do you like to drink? 也有人會這么說，Can I get you something to drink? 一般餐廳都會提供的有coke, diet coke, sprite, iced tea以及l(fā)emonade 等。如果什么都不要，就說just water.值得注意的是，在一般的速食店提到drink 都是指soft drink 而言。但是一般人說到have a drink 時(shí)，他們多半指的是alcoholic, 也就是含酒精的飲料。所以如果有人問你，“Come on, have a drink with us.” 他絕不是要你跟他們一起喝可樂的意思，而是要你跟他們一起喝酒啦!

4.Are you ready to order or just a minute?

你們準(zhǔn)備好了嗎？還是要再等一會？

通常飲料上桌之后，大伙都還要花點(diǎn)時(shí)間研究一下菜單，如果侍者看你們大概都差不多了，他就會過來問你們，Are you ready to order or just a minute?如果是已經(jīng)準(zhǔn)備好要點(diǎn)餐了，就直接跟她說你想吃什么，如果大家還要再研究研究，則可以跟侍者說Just a minute.或是Wait a few more minutes.請他等一下，他會說OK.I'll be back.（好，那我等下再來。）

5.Do you want to separate check?

你們要不要分開付帳？

比如說二對夫妻出去吃飯，大家想各自付自己的，則你們可以主動跟侍者說的We want to separate check。有時(shí)他們也會主動問你，Do you want to separate check?或是Do you want separate checks? 這樣的話帳單就會有二張。但有些餐廳separatecheck 會多收服務(wù)費(fèi)，最好先問清楚。如果是要一起付，則簡單地說，together或是one check 就可以了
