      新托??谡Z考試技巧加模板:

      “小馬過河秋姐之E語之秋系列”!

      被民間稱之為變態(tài)的新托福,主要體現(xiàn)在人機(jī)對話的口語考試上。雖然是人機(jī)對話,但還是人評分(引用官方: The responses are digitally recorded and transmitted to ETS's Online Scoring Network, where human raters evaluate them

      .盡管目前也在考慮用e-rater,但其評價的正確性很具爭議?。?。所以從這個層面上來講,你要把機(jī)器想象成人,有感情地,自然地與“他”交流。就是不要有應(yīng)付的感覺,和背誦的感覺, 盡管在練習(xí)的時候是一定要經(jīng)過背誦的。

      那么應(yīng)該如何準(zhǔn)備口語才至少不會成為不能進(jìn)入理想大學(xué)的絆腳石呢?

      首先,T1, T2--------做到有備無患?。?/p>

      T1,是描述題。屬生存口語話題,絕對送分題。就其準(zhǔn)備而言,要從人物類(persons),物品類(objects),地點類(places),事件類(events)著手,每一類準(zhǔn)備4-5篇左右??梢詤⒖佳潘伎谡Z的第二題。雅思口語里給出的答案要比托福口語要求的要長,因為它要求是在一分半鐘左右說完的,而托??谡Z只需要45‘’。所以你要做的事情很簡單,就是做一個縮寫的工作,或者根據(jù)它的套路,把自己情況描述進(jìn)去。然后背誦下來。到這兒,還不算完事,最關(guān)鍵的是一定要對照鏡子或墻或你的朋友(如果你足夠幸運(yùn)有這樣的朋友愿意享受你的英文的話)說出來,同時還要計時,并且反復(fù)多次,爭取每次都要超過上一次的記錄,無論是在清晰度,流利度,語速,還是時間方面都要有所超越,這樣臨場面對電腦的時候你才不會緊張。

      其次,T3, T4 讀-聽-說(R-L-S)綜合題----做到聽讀雙贏??!

      ETS 的綜合題的出題思路,是根據(jù)母語的學(xué)習(xí)思路設(shè)計的。所以試回想一下我們在語文課堂上做的事,就是老師讓你讀完一段然后總結(jié)段落大意。這里稍微復(fù)雜一點的是,增加了聽的環(huán)節(jié)(因為是外語的緣故)。那么這道題有兩個對策:

      1)如果你的閱讀比較牛,那么就以讀為主,聽為輔。結(jié)合閱讀預(yù)測聽力內(nèi)容,進(jìn)行綜合表述。這里可以破解的一個秘密是聽力中人物的態(tài)度非正即反。所以降低了此題的難度。

      2)如果你的聽力比較牛,那么就以聽為主,讀為輔。仔細(xì)聽,記錄筆記。順帶提一句某一觀點符合閱讀里提到的觀點。

      所不同的是:

      T3, 是dialogue-based, campus-related issue.相對比T4容易,而且具有非常清晰固定的模板。所以考試前非常熟悉模板,考試中,主要記筆記。然后把閱讀材料中的主要內(nèi)容和聽力材料中的觀點和理由填進(jìn)去就可以了。記筆記時采取縱向提綱記錄法:

      T4, 是lecture-based, academic topic.相對T3 學(xué)術(shù)一些。關(guān)鍵是熟悉一定的背景詞匯,這樣不會因為題目的陌生而恐慌。不過考試的設(shè)計思路總是可以破解的。通常閱讀部分是一個definition或explanation.聽力部分是教授的詳細(xì)講解,大致由points 和examples 兩個板塊構(gòu)成。所以在記筆記的時候,主要記這兩點。具體如下: Reading: _______________(標(biāo)題和首句中的關(guān)鍵詞.比如:boycott, forest fire, emotional intelligence, etc.1-2句話完成)

      這是最后一道類型題了,可以在心態(tài)保持非常平穩(wěn)的情況下,速戰(zhàn)速決!速戰(zhàn)速決不是草率,而是你已經(jīng)有了前期T1 ,T2 的練嘴熱身,中期T3, T4的嚴(yán)密邏輯,就能做到T5,T6的穩(wěn)抓穩(wěn)打。而且只要聽懂就能說的出。聽懂已經(jīng)不再困難,你只要把聽力課上10%的力量用在口語上,便可信手拈來。

      T5, student-related problem and solutions, 純屬日常校園口語話題。3/4轉(zhuǎn)述+1/4的個人觀點選擇,技術(shù)含量6個題目中最低。因為轉(zhuǎn)述就是照葫蘆說瓢的事;個人觀點選擇題在T2的準(zhǔn)備過程中已經(jīng)很熟。另外,要熟悉人物。人物角色通常分三種情況:S1---S2, S-P, S-O

      是長線考生,就是說你有足夠的備考時間,那么可以去書店買相關(guān)的書,或網(wǎng)上下載一些資料,也是狂讀,足夠你度過國外初期的survival period;考試以后,還建議學(xué)習(xí)一些俚語,還是狂讀,然后知其所云,迅速融入圈子,從一個outsider 變成一個 insider.T6, lecture.一學(xué)術(shù)段子。完全不帶個人觀點的100%的轉(zhuǎn)述。通常此題被業(yè)內(nèi)人士認(rèn)為是最難的。T4 也是學(xué)術(shù)段子,但至少還有閱讀輔助,可以進(jìn)行預(yù)測。

      其實,此題也并非完全沒有破解之處。

      首先,弄清教授的講話思路----就是美國人的論證思維模式, 即topic-point-detail-example的總分模式,topic分成幾個points 來說,幾個details 構(gòu)成大并列來闡述一個point, 幾個examples又構(gòu)成小并列說明一個detail, 這樣像洋蔥式的層層剖開。其實,不管題型有多么千變?nèi)f化,也不管內(nèi)容又多么撲索迷離,ETS的口語出題思路都是這樣的。因為這就是美國人的思維方式,不像我們,喜歡把最重要的放在最后。甚至為了設(shè)置懸念,還有“欲知后事如何,且聽下回分解”的評書式表達(dá)法。

      其次,熟悉講話內(nèi)容。通常分以下三種類型:

      1.現(xiàn)象---因果型(phenomenon---causes and effects)即:提出現(xiàn)象---解釋因果

      2.過程---功能型(process-functions)即:描述過程---解釋功能

      3.理論---應(yīng)用型(theory-applications)即:介紹理論---論述應(yīng)用

      但是有的lecture 不這么規(guī)則化, 會把三種情況綜合到一起。因此,該題也沒有固定的模板,但有靈活的框架。下面以題為例作以清晰導(dǎo)航:

      1)記筆記時,還是采取縱向提綱記錄法。如:

      An aura is _________________________________________________.Example: __________________________________________________.Common characteristics of migrains: ____________________________

      ____________________________

      ____________________________

      ____________________________

      Process of migraine:

      -----__________________________________________

      -----_________________________________________

      -----_________________________________________

      Possible way to prevent migraines from occuring: _________________________.2)作答時,根據(jù)要求,因為此題不是要求你轉(zhuǎn)述整個lecture 的內(nèi)容。而是抓住部分觀點。就像你真的在大學(xué)上課聽老師講課一樣,不一定要把老師的每一句話都記下來。所以此題要有極強(qiáng)的筆記功夫。比如此題的要求是:Using points and examples from the lecture, explain what migraines are and how they occur.首先,考試之前,你不一定知道aura是什么,但它作為開篇提到的詞,你肯定把它像上面提綱里那樣記錄在筆記之上了。然后聽到了解釋和例子,(這是必然的,所以聽到陌生詞也不要恐慌。)提綱中的第一行和第二行的信息就這樣被捕捉了。但是,是有用信息還是無用信息呢?你也不知道,直到后來你聽到migraines 這個詞高頻出現(xiàn)。結(jié)果,問題中migraines就被主要問到。因此要審題,不要費(fèi)力不討好。結(jié)合筆記,把多余的刪除。

      答題模板是這樣的(就題論題):

      The lecture tells us about migraines.A migraine

      _________________________________________________________________.The migraine itself involves ____________________ and other symptoms, such as __________.is a

      Doctors suspect a possible cause ___________________________________________________.The brain then _____________________________________, which results in pain.Migraine sufferers should try to identify ______________________________________________.注: T3-T6平時練習(xí)時,也要記錄時間。
