有時(shí)地方名稱也直接做主語(yǔ)：The post office is two blocks away.郵局離這兒兩個(gè)街區(qū)的距離。

3.Simpson Hall is on the corner of Bellflower Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue.(T)辛普森樓位于貝爾弗勞爾大道和大西洋街的街角上。

1).corner前可用不同的介詞表示不同的位置概念，街道的拐角可用介詞on或at。例如：

There is a post office at / on the corner of Smith Street and Beach Road.史密斯街和海灣路的十字路口有個(gè)郵局。

3、人們解釋事物所在地最常用的一種方式就是使用術(shù)語(yǔ)'blocks'。block 是在兩個(gè)十字路口之間的一段街區(qū)。因此'the next block'意味著下個(gè)路口之后的那段街區(qū)，而three blocks ahead意味著在同一條街道上但過(guò)接下來(lái)的三個(gè)路口。
