如何用英語正確有效問路和指路的三大技巧

用英語“問路”和“指路”是大家在異國他鄉(xiāng)生活中經(jīng)常遇到的場(chǎng)景。不過，現(xiàn)在國內(nèi)的外國友人越來越多，很多朋友們不出國門也經(jīng)常在路上遇到外國美女和帥哥問路。那么我們就一起來學(xué)習(xí)如何正確有效的用英語問路和給別人指路。

我們先通過三個(gè)對(duì)話來學(xué)習(xí)問路與指路的基本句型。最后大家可以通過一個(gè)小測(cè)驗(yàn)來檢查掌握情況。

對(duì)話1：

Tim:Excuse me.勞駕（對(duì)不起，麻煩問一下）。

Mei: Yes?

什么?

Tim:How do I get to the Sanlitun, please?

我怎么去三里屯？

Mei:It’s not far.Go straight on then turn right at the end of the road.離這兒不遠(yuǎn)，一直往前走，走到頭兒向右拐。

Tim:Thanks.謝謝。

Mei:You’re welcome.不客氣。

勞駕，你能不能告訴我去故宮的路怎么走？

如果你不知道某地在何處，就可以直接告訴對(duì)方：

I am sorry, I don’t know.對(duì)不起，我不知道?；蛘咴诼繁容^遠(yuǎn)的情況下，你可以建議問路者乘坐公共汽車、出租車或地鐵:

Go straight on.一直往前。

Turn right.向右轉(zhuǎn)。

It’s in the north of…? 在……的北邊。

一、問路大多從“對(duì)不起”（Excuse me）開始。例如：

Excuse me.Do you know where the post office is?對(duì)不起，你知道郵局在哪里？

Excuse me.Can you point me to the nearest gas station?對(duì)不起，你能告訴我最近的加油站怎么走？ Excuse me.Can you give me quick directions to the movie theatre? 請(qǐng)問到電影院最快的路怎樣走？ Excuse me.Do you know how to get to the Shopping mall from here?打擾一下，你知道從這里怎樣去大型購物中心？

I'd like to go to Tiananmen Square.我想去天安門廣場(chǎng)。I'd like to go to the supermarket.我想去超市。Where is——? ——在哪兒？

Would you show me the way?怎么走？

Could you show me how to get there?怎么走？ How do I get there?怎么走？ How do I get to——？到——怎么走？

Could you give me directions to——？到——怎么走？

1、Could you tell me how to get to _____?“ 是問去具體某個(gè)地方，象博物館，酒店，或街道，的標(biāo)準(zhǔn)句型。

2、如果你不是問一個(gè)具體的地方，但需要找到附近的銀行，地鐵站，廁所，等等的地方，那么最好的方式就是用這樣的短語”Where is the closest_____?“

3、人們解釋事物所在地最常用的一種方式就是使用術(shù)語'blocks'。block 是在兩個(gè)十字路口之間的一段街區(qū)。因此'the next block'意味著下個(gè)路口之后的那段街區(qū)，而three blocks ahead意味著在同一條街道上但過接下來的三個(gè)路口。

另一種表示距離有多遠(yuǎn)的方式即是使用象這樣的短語'the third right'或'the next left'。因此如果有人說”Take the third street on the left“意思是你應(yīng)該走過兩個(gè)路口然后在第三個(gè)路口左轉(zhuǎn)。

叫別人左轉(zhuǎn)或右轉(zhuǎn)的不同方式有好幾種。'Take a left'，'go left'，'turn left' 和 'make a left' 都代表同樣的意思：左轉(zhuǎn)?！盙o around the corner“意思是在下個(gè)街道轉(zhuǎn)身但不跨越。

4、用建筑或標(biāo)志物的指向。”It's just past the bank“意思是如果你走過銀行，你要找的地方就在接下來的幾幢建筑物中。'Opposite'，'across from'，和facing 都代表同一個(gè)意思－在同一條街道上，但在另一邊。

二、問路的基本句型

1．Excuse me．can you tell me the way to the hospital?對(duì)不起，你能告訴我去醫(yī)院怎么走? 2．Excuse me．could you tell me how to get to the bus station?打擾一下你能告訴我怎樣去公共汽車站嗎

3．Excuse me could you tell me the way to the cinema?勞駕，你能告訴我去電影院怎么走？ 4．I’m trying to find the post office．Could you help me?我想去郵局，你能幫一下忙嗎？ 5．Excuse me，is this the right way to the department store?打擾一下，這是去百貨商店的路嗎？ 6．Would you mind showing me how to get to the hotel?你介意給我指一下去這個(gè)酒店的路嗎？

四、請(qǐng)問附近有沒有…

Excuse me, Is there.......nearby? 請(qǐng)問附近有沒有...？

Is there a hospital nearby? 請(qǐng)問附近有沒有醫(yī)院？

Is there a post box nearby? 請(qǐng)問附近有沒有郵政局？

Is there a public toilet nearby? 請(qǐng)問附近有沒有公共廁所？

五、回答別人問路（指路）的表示方法：

1．Go along the street until you come to the traffic lights.沿這條路一直走到紅綠燈那兒。

2．Turn right / left at the second crossing.(Take the second turning on the right / left.)在第二個(gè)十字路口向右 / 左轉(zhuǎn)彎。

3．Take a number 46 bus, and get off at the square.坐46路公共汽車，在廣場(chǎng)下車。4．It's on the corner of Huaihai Street and Xizang Road.在淮海路和西藏路的路口。5．Go straight ahead along the bund and then turn left.沿著外灘往前走，然后往走轉(zhuǎn)彎。

6．It's only about ten minutes' walk.那兒離這兒只有走大約10分鐘的路。

有關(guān)語法注釋：

⑴It's only about ten minutes' walk.(D)那兒離這兒只有走大約10分鐘的路。

it常被用來表示距離，后面可以跟表示距離的名詞短語，也可以跟“名詞（表示時(shí)間）+ 名詞（表示行走方式）”，要注意撇號(hào)的位置。例如： It is three miles to the lake.這兒離湖有3英里的路程。

My home is not far from here.It's only five minutes' walk.我家離這兒不遠(yuǎn)，走5分鐘就到。

It is one hour' ride from Shanghai to Suzhou.從上海坐車到蘇州有1小時(shí)的路程。

有時(shí)地方名稱也直接做主語：The post office is two blocks away.郵局離這兒兩個(gè)街區(qū)的距離。⑵.Simpson Hall is on the corner of Bellflower Boulevard and Atlantic Avenue.(T)辛普森樓位于貝爾弗勞爾大道和大西洋街的街角上。

1).corner前可用不同的介詞表示不同的位置概念，街道的拐角可用介詞on或at。例如：

There is a post office at / on the corner of Smith Street and Beach Road.史密斯街和海灣路的十字路口有個(gè)郵局。

The dog slept comfortably in the corner of the room.那條狗在屋角舒服地睡覺。

I was about to cross the street when a car came round the corner.我正要過馬路，這時(shí)拐角處開來一輛汽車。

2).街道的名稱可使用avenue, street和boulevard。avenue指的是寬闊的林蔭大道，尤其指美國城市里縱向的街道，與其交叉的橫道稱為street。boulevard也是林蔭大道。

⑶.Then walk two blocks straight ahead until you come to Cherry Avenue.(T)然后一直向前走過兩個(gè)街區(qū)，直到切里街。

⑷.There's a bus stop across the street on the corner of Cherry and Bellflower.(T)在街對(duì)面，切里街和貝爾弗勞爾大道的轉(zhuǎn)角上有一個(gè)公共汽車站。

本句中across the street意思相當(dāng)于on the other side of the street。

⑸.Take a number 10 bus going down Cherry.(T)乘沿切里街行駛的10路公共汽車。

1).乘公共汽車, 火車, 電梯等都可以用動(dòng)詞take，如后面的例子：

Take the elevator to the second floor.My brother is going to take a ship for Wuhan.2).分詞短語going down Cherry是修飾bus的定語。down在這里是介詞，表示“沿著”，常和along替換使用。請(qǐng)看本課另一句：Then turn to the right and walk one block along Second to the corner of Orange Avenue.然后向左拐，沿著第二街走，穿過一條馬路，到奧蘭治街的街角。

這句中的along也可改用down。又如：

The boat went down / along the river.小船順河而下。

⑹.If you follow these directions, you won't have any trouble.(T)如果你按照上述指引做的話，到保 羅的寓所去是沒有什么困難的。

指路舉例：

請(qǐng)看下面這段文字：“走這條單行道，在第一個(gè)紅綠燈時(shí)左轉(zhuǎn)，那里就是 Hemphill Ave.，是一條雙線道。往下走, 你會(huì)在你的左邊看到一個(gè)加油站,。繼續(xù)走50 碼, 直到看到一個(gè)三叉路口, 右轉(zhuǎn), 經(jīng)過二個(gè) stop sign，你就會(huì)碰到沃爾瑪（Wal Mart）。郵局就在 Wal Mart 的對(duì)面。而楊先生的家呢? 郵局后面就是啦。”現(xiàn)將這段話分解開來加以解釋。

1.Take the one-way street.走這條單行道.One-way street 就是單行道.尤其在商業(yè)區(qū), 以亞特蘭大和紐奧良為例, 其復(fù)雜的程度可以用進(jìn)的去, 出不來來形容, 實(shí)在不是個(gè)愉快的開車經(jīng)驗(yàn).2.You will stay on the street for a while until you hit the first traffic light.你會(huì)走一會(huì)兒, 直到你遇到第一個(gè)紅綠燈.Stay for a while 通常指五到十分鐘的時(shí)間, 不會(huì)太久.遇見某樣?xùn)|西, 可以用 hit 這個(gè)字, 如 hit the traffic light, hit the stop sign 等等.而 traffic light 也有人說成 light, 或 stoplight.3.Then take a left.向左轉(zhuǎn).向左轉(zhuǎn)可以說成 turn left, take a left 或是 Make a left.有時(shí)光講 take a left 不明確, 你可以加上路名, 明確地告訴人家要轉(zhuǎn)哪一條路, 例如 Take a left into Hemphill Ave.或是 Take a left onto Hemphill Ave.4.It will be Hemphill Ave.It’s two-lane traffic.那就會(huì)是 Hemphill Ave, 它是一條雙車道.指路的時(shí)候如果能夠說出街道名稱是最好, 所以通常我會(huì)把轉(zhuǎn)到哪一條路的路名也指出來.至于是幾線道一般指路的時(shí)候則比較不會(huì)提及.雙線道是指來去各一個(gè)車道共二線道而言, 四線道就是 four-lane traffic.像亞特蘭大的 Interstate Highway 有些地方都是十二線道, 那就是 twelve-lane traffice 夠驚人吧.5.Come down Hemphill Ave about five blocks.由 Hemphill 街往下走約五個(gè) blocks.英文這個(gè)部份跟中文有異曲同工之妙喔.我們會(huì)習(xí)慣地說, 往 ”下“ 走, 英文也會(huì)說come ”down“ 或是 get ”down“, 這里如果只說 Come Hemphill Ave.聽來是不是怪怪的? 至于 block 指的是一塊一塊的建筑, 外國人在指路時(shí)很喜歡用 block 作為計(jì)量的單位.6.You will see a BP gas station on your left.在你的左手邊你會(huì)看到一座 BP 加油站.指路的時(shí)候除了路名之外, 明顯的地標(biāo)也是有幫助的.通常你可以指出一些明顯的建筑物或是加油站來幫助對(duì)方.加油站的英文是 gas station, 有時(shí)會(huì)簡(jiǎn)稱 station.7.Keep going 50 yards before you come to a fork road.繼續(xù)走 50 碼, 直到你走到一個(gè)三叉路口.繼續(xù)往下走可以用 keep going 這個(gè)字, 或是 continue straight 或是 keep straight 也很常用.Fork road 就是我們說的三叉路口.那如果是丁字路口要怎么說? 你可以說, This road will dead end into 10th Street.就可以表達(dá)出丁字路口的意思了.8.Make a right, pass two stop signs and you will run into a Wal Mart.向右轉(zhuǎn)，經(jīng)過二個(gè)停車標(biāo)記（Stop sign），你就會(huì)遇到沃爾瑪（Wal Mart）。

美國人喜歡說You’ll run into it!意思就是，你會(huì)遇到的。他們也喜歡這么說，You can’t miss it!就是說, 你絕不會(huì)錯(cuò)過的。

9.The post office is just right across the street of it.郵局就在 Wal Mart的正對(duì)面。Right across the street of it 是個(gè)很重要的片語, 加上 ”right“ across 表示出 ”正" 對(duì)面的意思.還有一個(gè)很常用的就是在什么什么的旁邊, 這個(gè)要用 The office is next to it.It 代表之前已經(jīng)提過的 Wal Mart, 如果之前沒有提及, 這里也可以直接說成, across the street of Wal Mart.10.Mr.Yang’s house is behind the post office.楊先生的房子就在郵局后面.六、問路指路英語詞匯
