要想使自已的英語口語多姿多彩，魅力無窮，并能很快吸引對方，僅僅流利快速是不夠的。許多英語專業(yè)畢業(yè)生在同外國人交流過程中，經(jīng)常出現(xiàn)尷尬的場面，兩個人都無法準(zhǔn)確理解對方。中國學(xué)生語速倒是很快，但由于用詞的不準(zhǔn)確，表達(dá)方式的不貼切以及過分追求難詞造成的歧義都會使雙方感到交流的不暢快，所以，外國人評價中國學(xué)生的口語是“Too strange to be true！”(太奇怪，不真實)或“Too beautiful to be natural！”（用詞華麗但不自然）使言談增色，就需要你靈活運(yùn)用外國人經(jīng)常使用的習(xí)慣說話，包括習(xí)語，不過時 的俚語及大量的富有特色的語句。不要害怕模仿，只要運(yùn)用得當(dāng)，你盡可以引經(jīng)據(jù)典，洋洋灑灑。

在中國可不能隨便說“我想你”，然而，當(dāng)和西方人分手時說“I will miss you.”要比說“Good-bye”或“See you soon”有趣得多，不妨一試。

有人開會遲到了，你若對他說 “You are late.”，聽起來象是廢話，若說“Did you get lost ?”，則更能讓他歉然，可別說成“Get lost！”那可是讓人滾蛋的意思。

別人征求你的意見，問能否開窗戶等，你要說“You can do that.”就有點土了，用一句“Do you have the time? ”實際上，問他人的姓名，地址都可以這么用：“May I have you name?“要比”What’s your name ? ”禮貌得多，不過警察例外。

別人問你不愿公開的問題，切勿用“It’s my secret，Don’t ask such a personal question.”回答，一來顯得你沒有個性，二來也讓對方尷尬。你可以說“I would rather not say.”（還是別說了吧！）。

有時候，你想說什么，可說是想不起來，你可以說“Well ?”“Let me see”“Just a moment ”或“It’s on the tip of my tongue.”等，想比之下，最后一個句型是最地道的。

交談時，你可能會轉(zhuǎn)換話題，不要只說“By the way ”，實際上，“To change the subject”“Before I forget”“While I remember”“Mind you ”都是既地道有受歡迎的表達(dá)。

這樣還能練習(xí)的你的中英互換。然后同樣的句子，你對你最好的朋友說，因為她們不會笑話你說錯了，誰都知道說好英語是件非常不錯的事情。這樣，針對不同的人說同樣的話，慢慢地你會減少恐懼感，說話會比較自然、流利了。既然你能和別人說好中文，就一定能說好英文。

2.找一張自己最喜歡的原版電影

你把臺詞寫出來，然后自己當(dāng)演員，比如說像《羅馬假日》，你就當(dāng)那個公主，當(dāng)你的大臣、還有偶然遇到的那個男主角和你說話的時候，你就做出公主的回答。一個人在家里練習(xí)，沒人會笑話你的。

各種電影中有各種不同的英語口音，你又是在跟這些國際大牌明星對話，那是多么的了不得!大街上一個區(qū)區(qū)平常的外國人你還在意嗎?“咱是跟大牌明星天天說話的主兒!”只要環(huán)境熟悉了，說話也就不緊張了。無非就是個熟練程度的問題。

還有，如果你真的碰到了外國人，剛開始緊張也很自然，外國人也是知道這點的。他們也會放慢語速和你交流的，說上幾句適應(yīng)了，你也就不緊張了，然后你告訴他(她)平時很少能和外國人交流，所以說英語勢必會緊張一些，甚至有的不會說。他們能夠理解。如果說他們不理解，你就直接說你那最純正、最流利的漢語，說得他們暈頭轉(zhuǎn)向，照樣很了不起!
