英語兒歌與英語教學(xué)
隨著教學(xué)改革的趨勢,愉快教學(xué)為廣大的小學(xué)英語教師們認(rèn)可并運(yùn)用。音韻優(yōu)美和諧、節(jié)奏輕快鮮明的英語歌曲,是學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的好幫手。而歌曲教學(xué)也當(dāng)之無愧地成為愉快教學(xué)中強(qiáng)有力的一筆。如何進(jìn)行歌曲教學(xué),如何運(yùn)用英語歌曲優(yōu)化英語課堂教學(xué)?我有以下的幾點(diǎn)看法:
一:如何進(jìn)行英語兒歌教學(xué)
1.邊唱邊做
小學(xué)英語課本中的英語歌一般都較為簡單,通常是用學(xué)生較熟悉甚至都會吟唱的旋律,來唱一些單元重點(diǎn)句型或單詞。如果在學(xué)會了單詞后教授歌曲更是能達(dá)到一聽便會的效果。但過于簡單的歌曲,學(xué)生唱時容易走神,有口無心的,起不到應(yīng)有的作用。如果根據(jù)歌曲內(nèi)容編一些富有童趣又易學(xué)的動作,讓孩子們邊唱邊跳邊做,對一些理解歌詞還存在困難的學(xué)生,可以收到意想不到的效果。
如Eight Little Baby Ducks學(xué)生邊吟唱,邊用指頭演示數(shù)字,還伴隨著旋律做出小鴨走路的樣子,真是妙趣橫生。學(xué)生邊唱邊動,不時為做對動作而高興,不時為別人的手忙腳亂而開心地哈哈大笑,簡單的一首英語歌進(jìn)行一番簡單的修飾,讓學(xué)生唱會了它也愛上了它。
2.量少質(zhì)高
.英語歌教學(xué)的環(huán)境首先是英語課,而并非音樂課。所以,對待那些有難度的英語歌,教師們不必花半節(jié)課,甚至一節(jié)課的時間教學(xué)。我們不妨試試“少吃多餐”的方法:讓學(xué)生每節(jié)課都有機(jī)會聽幾遍,而時間可以進(jìn)行控制。學(xué)生可能只會跟音樂進(jìn)行哼唱和模糊的發(fā)音,但孩子們在反復(fù)地聆聽哼唱的同時,必然會逐漸地注意到其中的語言現(xiàn)象,進(jìn)而自覺或不自覺地總結(jié)出一些簡單的語言規(guī)律,如:爆破現(xiàn)象、連讀現(xiàn)象等。長此以往,標(biāo)準(zhǔn)的發(fā)音和優(yōu)美的旋律都不難追求。
3.詞曲結(jié)合在教孩子們唱英語歌之前,教師把歌曲唱給他們聽,也可用錄音磁帶放給他們聽,讓他們根據(jù)聽到的旋律加以想像,可以問他們聯(lián)想到了什么動物、人物、景色等,并要他們說出理由。也可以讓他們根據(jù)歌曲編一個簡單的故事。孩子們在聽的同時,熟悉了曲調(diào),還展開了豐富的想象。聯(lián)想的對與錯根本不重要,重要的是能讓學(xué)生展開聯(lián)想的翅膀,這是相當(dāng)有意義的。同時,從別人的發(fā)言中,孩子們可以學(xué)到不同的思維方式及多種表達(dá)法。在教歌之前,教師可挑出部分重要單詞及句型,逐個講解給孩子聽,然后讓他們跟讀。跟讀幾遍后,讓他們聽完整的歌曲,要求他們一聽到剛才跟讀過的詞匯就拍一下手。這種方式可以訓(xùn)練兒童精確地聽英語的能力。音樂本身也為孩子們提供了放松身心的機(jī)會,在這種身心狀態(tài)下,學(xué)習(xí)可以達(dá)到極佳的效果。
二:如何運(yùn)用英語歌曲優(yōu)化英語課堂教學(xué)
1.利用歌曲來組織教學(xué)
在一堂課中,一開始的氣氛可以影響整堂課的教學(xué)效果。以往的老師宣布上課(class begins),學(xué)生起立(stand up)的語文式英語組織教學(xué)模式,對活潑好動的小學(xué)生來說太死板了,而且拉遠(yuǎn)了教師與學(xué)生的距離。我認(rèn)為可選擇如“Hello, Peter!Hello, John!Hello, Linda!Hello, Tom!”這些簡單的曲子,把其中Peter、John、Linda、Tom等名字換成另外的稱呼,如Boys、Girls、Miss Li等。若在假日可唱一些由“Happy New Year、Merry Christmas”等歌曲轉(zhuǎn)換而成的曲子。這樣一來不僅達(dá)到了組織教學(xué)的目的,也提高了學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣,還培養(yǎng)了學(xué)生在英語交際中的語言感覺。
2.利用歌曲來訓(xùn)練各種能力
培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的聽力和記憶力,這是一個難點(diǎn)。這里我們可以采用空出句子中較為重要的單詞,然后讓學(xué)生聽錄音,補(bǔ)全單詞的方法,或教師先給出幾個單詞,讓學(xué)生聽歌曲,當(dāng)聽到給出的單詞時就大聲地跟讀的方法,對這兩項能力進(jìn)行訓(xùn)練。同時還可以結(jié)合游戲、比賽進(jìn)行,讓學(xué)生在歡快的兒童歌曲中練習(xí)地更輕松。

英語故事在英語教學(xué)中的作用
一年級的一節(jié)英語活動課

生動的故事有利于激發(fā)孩子們學(xué)英語的興趣和表演欲望,它還能拉近英語和學(xué)生之間的距離,使英語教學(xué)內(nèi)容更加充實,教學(xué)形式更加生動活潑。因此,我在教學(xué)實踐中會經(jīng)常編一些小情景劇。下面介紹的是我根據(jù)一部英語短劇編寫的小故事“小熊請客”,以及教學(xué)設(shè)計。
一、故事“小熊請客”(Little bear plays the host.)
在一座美麗的大森林里,住著一群可愛的小動物,有老虎(tiger),大象(elephant),熊貓(panda),猴子(monkey),狗熊(bear),小兔子(rabbit),小鳥(bird),還有很多很多小朋友們喜愛的小動物。
小熊(little bear)要在新年這天請客,瞧little bear多忙碌!他把水果擺到桌子上,有蘋果(apple),桔子(orange),香蕉(banana),梨(pear),葡萄(grapes)等好多好多。
一大早,快樂的小鳥(bird)就飛來做客,小鳥說:“Happy new year.”就唱起了“Happy new year ”歌。一會兒,小白兔蹦蹦跳跳地出來了“I can jump.(我會跳)”他表演了一個小節(jié)目。小猴子隨后而來:“I can climb up the tree.(我會爬樹)”他的滑稽的爬樣把大家逗得哈哈大笑。這時,一個帶面具的小家伙來了,他說“I am fat.I am black and white.I have two big and round eyes.What am I?”小熊搶著說“Panda.”熊貓高興地和大家玩起來。緊接著老虎吼叫著,大象用鼻子卷著禮物來做客了。Little bear家熱鬧極了,他拿出水果招待大家?!癏elp yourself with apples,bananas,pears,grapes.(隨便吃)”大家邊吃邊說“Apples are sweet.Pears are sweet.Oranges are sour.Grapes are sour.I like them.” 小朋友們,故事演完了,你什么時候請同學(xué)們做客呢?
二、教學(xué)設(shè)計
1. 復(fù)習(xí)動物名稱。
教師在黑板上畫大森林,讓學(xué)生說說森林里有哪些動物,學(xué)生邊邊用英語說,老師邊畫:rabbit,monkey,panda,tiger,elephant等。邊讓學(xué)生模仿動物的聲音、形態(tài),如老虎吼叫,小猴子爬樹等,讓學(xué)生動起來,說起來,加深其對單詞發(fā)音的印象。學(xué)生如有發(fā)音不準(zhǔn),老師可帶讀一下,糾正發(fā)音。
在教學(xué)中,利用可操作性語言,通過讓學(xué)生動起來,說起來,激發(fā)學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)興趣。
2. 復(fù)習(xí)英語句子。I can?.教師問學(xué)生,What can they do? 森林中的小動物會做什么呢?有的學(xué)生說The monkey can climb.老師讓他帶上小猴子的頭飾,讓他做出爬樹的樣子,小朋友滑稽的樣子讓人樂。(一年級的學(xué)生喜歡自我表現(xiàn),這不僅能滿足他們的表現(xiàn)欲,也能達(dá)到再次復(fù)習(xí)單詞發(fā)音的目的。)又有學(xué)生說The rabbit can jump.老師讓他帶上小白兔的頭飾,在“草地”上蹦蹦跳跳。其他學(xué)生一起說The rabbit can jump on the grass.(教師要注意,在一個學(xué)生站起來說時,其他學(xué)生也要認(rèn)真聽,如果那個學(xué)生說對了,他們要認(rèn)真跟著再說一遍,不斷重復(fù)聽說以起到鞏固的作用。在課堂中,我要求學(xué)生人人有事做,人人要做事。)這時一只“鳥”飛來:I am bird.I can sing.老師及時表揚(yáng)她自己學(xué)造句子。其他小朋友
也不甘示弱:I am tiger.I am panda.I am bear??促使全班學(xué)生都踴躍參與教學(xué)活動。(學(xué)生在嘗試使用新學(xué)的語言結(jié)構(gòu)時,往往需要極大的支持和幫助,他需要的是別人的贊揚(yáng)。老師要頻頻鼓勵學(xué)生創(chuàng)造各自的問答和對話,并對學(xué)生所作的冒險表示祝賀。以激發(fā)所有學(xué)生的積極性。)
在此過程中,教師要注意將糾正發(fā)音融入游戲之中,避免學(xué)生產(chǎn)生說英語時的畏懼心理。沒有誰能夠不犯錯誤而學(xué)會一門語言。給學(xué)生糾正錯誤時,一定要小心。把它融到活動中去,讓學(xué)生在不知覺中改正讀音,效果最好。
3. 引導(dǎo)學(xué)生進(jìn)入故事情節(jié)。
教師扮演小熊,說:“Today is new year.I’ll play the host.Welcome to my house.今天是新年,我要請客。歡迎大家來做客?!苯處熝埿▲B:“Welcome!”小鳥說:“Thank you.”教師和小鳥一起唱首“Happy new year.”這時帶rabbit頭飾的小朋友坐不住了,蹦來做客?!癢elcome!”小兔說:“I can jump on the grass.”而后在“草地”上蹦蹦跳跳為大家表演節(jié)目。這時小猴子也來了,教師問他:“Hi, Monkey.What can you do?”小猴子說:“I can climb up the tree.”并做爬樹狀,小猴子的動作把大家都逗樂了。大家看到老師在笑,同學(xué)在笑,這樣和諧的氣氛讓他們更敢于表演了。(營造和諧、融洽的課堂氣氛。)大老虎來了,大象來了,老師問大家:“Elephant has a long?.”還沒等老師說完,學(xué)生就說出nose,老師鼓勵大家說出“I have a long nose.”要及時表揚(yáng)敢自己造句的學(xué)生。這時,一個學(xué)英語很好的學(xué)生帶著面罩上來,給大家出了個謎語“I am fat.I am black and white.I have two big and round eyes.What am I?”“熊貓?!薄疤袅?!能教給大家嗎?”讓其他學(xué)生也學(xué)說一說。學(xué)生興奮了,一個學(xué)生“大吼了一聲”。大家高興地說“Tiger.”課堂氣氛活躍極了。
兒童心理語言學(xué)家認(rèn)為,兒童傾向于在自然環(huán)境中學(xué)習(xí)語言。教師要充分運(yùn)用實物、圖片、手勢、表演等方法,為學(xué)生提供大量正確的語言輸入,使學(xué)生在一種近似自然的語言學(xué)習(xí)環(huán)境中學(xué)習(xí)語言。
這時,教師拿出水果模型,邊分邊說:“apple, pear, banana, grapes, orange ?.”學(xué)生們高興的拿著,“吃著”,說著英語。老師說:“Help yourself.”大家都興奮地假裝吃著。老師也裝作品嘗:“Apples are sweet.Pears are sweet.Oranges are sour.Grapes are sour.I like them.”讓學(xué)生邊動邊說,效果好極了。(為下一單元學(xué)習(xí)水果做了鋪墊。)
4. 了解了整個故事情節(jié),并知道如何表演后,老師和學(xué)生一起編排,邊說,邊表演。
5. 學(xué)生在班內(nèi)找同伴表演。
6. 全班一起表演。
這一堂課,同學(xué)們在說一說,演一演中,輕松地把句子復(fù)習(xí)練習(xí)了,積極性很高,這節(jié)課給學(xué)生們留下了深刻的印象。
