各學(xué)院團總支、學(xué)生會：

為進(jìn)一步加強和改進(jìn)大學(xué)生素質(zhì)教育，推動我校大學(xué)英語教學(xué)改革深入開展，有效地調(diào)動我校學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)英語的積極性和綜合運用英語的能力，校團委、教務(wù)處、外國語學(xué)院將聯(lián)合舉辦我校第十屆大學(xué)生英語演講比賽，并從中選拔優(yōu)秀學(xué)生參加每年一度的“外研社杯”全國大學(xué)生英語演講比賽。

一、參賽資格

天津科技大學(xué)在校本科生及碩士生（年齡不超過35歲）均可報名參加，在職研究生以及往屆天津賽區(qū)前三名的選手不包括在內(nèi)。

二、比賽形式

1.組織形式

比賽以海選形式進(jìn)行，報名選手參加選拔賽，優(yōu)勝者進(jìn)入校級決賽。選拔賽分為A組（泰達(dá)校區(qū)學(xué)生）和B組（河西校區(qū)學(xué)生），場次及晉級決賽名額視報名分組情況確定。

外國語學(xué)院團總支承辦本次比賽的全部賽事，比賽組織辦公室設(shè)在外國語學(xué)院學(xué)工辦（泰達(dá)校區(qū)9號樓304）。

2.比賽內(nèi)容

比賽由定題演講和即興演講兩部分組成。

（1）定題演講：

演講主題：“A Word That Has Changed the World”。

要求每位選手在本題目下加小標(biāo)題。注：“a word”可以是一個單詞，也可以是一個短語，也可以是一句短句。

（海選演講限時1分鐘，校級決賽演講限時3分鐘）

（2）即興演講：（校級決賽項目）

選手當(dāng)場抽取問題并準(zhǔn)備30秒鐘，演講時間為1.5分鐘。

三、報名方式

學(xué)生可到本學(xué)院學(xué)辦報名，報名之前應(yīng)確定本人定題演講題目。各學(xué)院團總支負(fù)責(zé)本學(xué)院按組別報名參賽學(xué)生的登記工作，于10月8日（第6周周六）下班前，按照附件中的格式，將電子版和紙質(zhì)版統(tǒng)一報送外國語學(xué)院學(xué)辦（泰達(dá)校區(qū)9號樓304，河西校區(qū)主樓F區(qū)601），郵箱poison@tust.edu.cn。

四、比賽時間、地點

A組比賽時間：2011年10月15日（第7周周六）上午9：00 地點：泰達(dá)校區(qū)，依據(jù)報名人數(shù)確定。

B組比賽時間：2010年10月16日（第7周周日）上午9：00 地點：河西校區(qū)，依據(jù)報名人數(shù)確定。

校級決賽時間：2010年10月22日（第8周周六）上午10：00 地點：泰達(dá)校區(qū)圖書館第一報告廳。

五、獎項設(shè)置：

1.A、B組小組賽獎項依報名情況確定。

2.校級決賽設(shè)一等獎2名，二等獎3名，三等獎5名，優(yōu)秀獎若

干名。連同分組決賽獲獎學(xué)生一起發(fā)放獲獎證書及獎杯。

3.獲獎學(xué)生中選拔若干名參加“外研社杯”全國大學(xué)生英語演講大賽天津市復(fù)賽。

各團總支要充分認(rèn)識這項活動的意義，將其作為加強我校學(xué)風(fēng)建設(shè)的重要措施之一。各團總支要組織好宣傳發(fā)動工作，調(diào)動廣大學(xué)生、特別是11級新生參與比賽的積極性，動員學(xué)生踴躍參賽。

2010年“外研社杯”全國英語演講大賽

2010年“外研社杯”全國英語演講大賽于2010年11月10日晚八點二十分在廣西城市職業(yè)學(xué)院四號教學(xué)樓階七準(zhǔn)時舉行選拔賽。

組織這場選拔賽的工作人員井然有序的進(jìn)行著，顯得很熟練，工作效率極高，選拔賽場布置得簡練也很完美。

選拔賽開始由主持人宣讀出席的嘉賓，這次出席大賽的人員有學(xué)院黨委書記姜攀，外國語分院院長謝曉蘭，機電工程分院黨委書記孫振保，資歷深厚的李日耀教授等10多位老師，以及選手們的親友團。今晚參加的選手一共有23位，其中08級09級的占的比例比10級占得比例人數(shù)多，所謂姜還是老的辣，但今晚10級的選手們并不畏懼，不會因選手是學(xué)長學(xué)姐而放棄比賽，也不會因?qū)W長，學(xué)姐經(jīng)驗豐富而緊張，日過你是青山上的一棵松，那么你就要經(jīng)得住烈日和嚴(yán)寒的考驗，如果你是溪流中的礁石，那么你就要樁基礎(chǔ)美麗的浪花，如果你是大海中的雄鷹，那么你就要有搏擊風(fēng)浪的勇氣，這是從10級的選手中流露出的感言，只要我們充分，還是會奪取冠軍。鳥兒因翅膀而自由翱翔，花兒因芬芳而美麗，她們駕著自己的夢想一步步邁向成功的彼岸，那種堅定不移和執(zhí)著的精神令人佩服。在坐的觀眾都被選手們那口流利的英語所折服，掌聲一浪高過一浪，最后選手們拿著自己向往已久的證書開心的笑了，她們知道臺上的一分鐘臺下十年功，自己的努力終究沒有白費，希望下次的大賽能夠拿到更好額成績。

英語現(xiàn)在是國際上一門通用的語言，英語大賽的舉行促進(jìn)了我了我院校園文化，學(xué)習(xí)氛圍的發(fā)展，為學(xué)生日后走上社會進(jìn)行了很好的鋪墊作用，望我院的教學(xué)事業(yè)更上一層樓。

一.自我介紹：

honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen, fellow students, good morning/afternoon:

尊敬的評委，先生們，女士們，各位同學(xué)們，早上/下午好!

i’m very glad to be here.my name is wangqihang.非常高興能參加比賽。我的名字叫王啟珩。

i’m ten years old.i come from huanxi primary school.i’m in cla3, grade 5.我今年10歲。我來自環(huán)西小學(xué)，現(xiàn)在五年級三班。

as a happy boy，i have many hobbies, such as sports, playing piano, singing, and drawing.我是一個快樂男孩。我有許多愛好，比如體育運動，彈鋼琴，唱歌，畫畫等。

among them, travel is my favorist one.i have visited some other cities, like beijing, hainan, chongqing, guangxi, qindao, dalian and so on.旅游是我的最愛。我去過不少地方，如北京，海南，重慶，廣西，青島，大連等。

everywhere i went, i enjoyed the natural scenery and appreciated the human landscape very much.每到一處都盡情享受那的自然風(fēng)光與人文風(fēng)情。

not only that, i want to go abroad to take in the beauty of the custom of other countries in the future.不僅如此，我還希望能出國領(lǐng)略各國的民俗風(fēng)情。

and i even dream about what the life will be when we are on planets other than our earth.甚至我還夢想著在地球外的其它星球上生活將會是怎樣的。

that is why i’m so interested in the following scientific report recently.所以最近我對下面這篇科學(xué)報道非常感興趣。

二.演講部分：

在我們享受的時候懂得珍惜

cherish what we are enjoying

it is a report about the new planet which holds possibility for life.這是一篇關(guān)于發(fā)現(xiàn)了一顆有生命可能性的星球的報告。

it shows that european astronomers have discovered a new planet, they name it gliese 581 c.說歐洲天文學(xué)家們發(fā)現(xiàn)了一顆新的星球，代號為“gliese 581c”。

it is about 20.5 light years from our earth.they estimated the planet's average temperature at between 0 and 40 degrees centigrade.it is orbiting the red dwarf star, gliese 581.它距地球約20.5光年。他們估計它的平均溫度約在0℃～40℃之間。它圍繞著紅矮星gliese 581運行。

most important of all, it’s an earth-like planet.there might be mountin, sea and liquid water.最重要的是，這顆星球和地球非常相似，它可能有山巒，有海洋，還有液態(tài)水。

so the astronomers believe that it is potentially habitable.所以科學(xué)家們相信它能支持生命的存在。

however, gliese 581 c might be “tidally locked” to it’s sun-the dwarf star the way our moon is to the earth.然而，就像月球一樣，它只會公轉(zhuǎn)，不會自轉(zhuǎn)。

it means that it must always show its same face to its sun, and that while one side would be too fiercely hot to support life, the other side would be too cold.這就意味著它面對紅矮星的一面會太熱不適合生命體而背對紅矮星的一面則會很寒冷。

this report makes me to realize that how valuable our earth is.這使我認(rèn)識到我們地球有多么珍貴!

everyday, we can see sunrise and sunset.我們每天都可以看到日出日落。

the day and night keeps on exchanging.it’s not too hot in the daytime while not to cold at night.一天早晚有變化，晝夜不停地交換使白天不過分熱，夜晚不過分冷。

everyday, i go to school cheerfully in the morning and skip along at the way home as the sun set.清爽的早晨，我可以背著小書包高高興興地去上學(xué)。夕陽西下，我又蹦又跳地回到家。
