新四級(jí)機(jī)考主要有三大不同：

首先是考試形式不同，傳統(tǒng)的四級(jí)考試是完全的筆試，而新四級(jí)考試則是依靠網(wǎng)絡(luò)和計(jì)算機(jī)來(lái)進(jìn)行，對(duì)計(jì)算機(jī)和網(wǎng)絡(luò)設(shè)備等技術(shù)上要求較高；

其次是考試時(shí)間不同，傳統(tǒng)的四級(jí)考試時(shí)間為上午9點(diǎn)至11：20分，而新四級(jí)機(jī)考時(shí)間為上午9點(diǎn)至11點(diǎn)，比原來(lái)少了20分鐘。據(jù)介紹，之所以時(shí)間縮短，是因?yàn)閭鹘y(tǒng)四級(jí)考試是分兩段式進(jìn)行的，當(dāng)中有一個(gè)收卷、發(fā)卷的停頓過(guò)程，而新四級(jí)機(jī)考由于完全在計(jì)算機(jī)上考試，不要中途停頓；

1、增加跟讀環(huán)節(jié)：

在題型方面，機(jī)考的試題大致分為八個(gè)部分。在聽(tīng)力部分后面增加了跟讀的環(huán)節(jié)，需要考生對(duì)著計(jì)算機(jī)的麥克風(fēng)重復(fù)之前聽(tīng)到的對(duì)話，以此考查考生的口語(yǔ)是否標(biāo)準(zhǔn)。所以在考試前，考生們需要調(diào)試計(jì)算機(jī)的麥克風(fēng)音量。

2、聽(tīng)力比重加大：

和傳統(tǒng)筆試重閱讀有很大不同的是，機(jī)考更注重聽(tīng)力，聽(tīng)力比重占70%。作文部分也融入了聽(tīng)力要求，首先要看一段視頻，看懂了視頻以后在作文里簡(jiǎn)單描述視頻內(nèi)容，并闡發(fā)自己的觀點(diǎn)。如果沒(méi)有聽(tīng)懂視頻，作文就根本無(wú)從下手。

3、經(jīng)驗(yàn)分享： 大聲跟讀熟悉鍵盤輸入。在跟讀環(huán)節(jié)，考生最好大聲跟讀，這樣計(jì)算機(jī)才能比較好地錄入聲音。機(jī)考的聽(tīng)力語(yǔ)速要快于筆試的聽(tīng)力，難度更大。而且除了通過(guò)電腦做選擇題外，還要根據(jù)聽(tīng)力內(nèi)容填寫單詞，由于計(jì)算機(jī)預(yù)留給考生答題的時(shí)間很短，所以要求考生能夠用鍵盤熟練地輸入英語(yǔ)單詞。此外，所有的題目都已經(jīng)預(yù)設(shè)了答題時(shí)間，如果在答題時(shí)間內(nèi)沒(méi)有答出，電腦將自動(dòng)進(jìn)入下一題，考生不能回頭再答卷，這讓習(xí)慣自己安排時(shí)間的考生有些不適應(yīng)。也有老師提醒，機(jī)考除了閱讀部分外，其他幾個(gè)部分都是以第一部分的視頻材料為基礎(chǔ)的。要回答好后面幾部分的問(wèn)題，考生必須對(duì)第一部分的視頻內(nèi)容有清楚的了解?？忌鷮?duì)視頻材料聽(tīng)懂和了解得越多越深入，后面幾部分的測(cè)試結(jié)果就越好。反之，考生難獲得高分。
