中國旅美科協(xié)協(xié)會歡迎胡主席訪美
中國國家主席胡錦濤于2008年11月14日至16日來到美國首都華盛頓特區(qū)參加20國集團(tuán)領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人金融市場和世界經(jīng)濟(jì)峰會。胡主席的來訪得到了廣大僑團(tuán)的熱烈歡迎,盡管華盛頓的天氣是多雨、寒冷,但許多僑團(tuán)在胡主席下榻的賓館附近載歌載舞、敲鑼打鼓,熱情歡迎胡主席的來訪。中國旅美科協(xié)華盛頓分會及網(wǎng)絡(luò)學(xué)會、紐約分會、匹茲堡分會等參加了這次的歡迎活動。
11月15日早七點多,中國旅美科協(xié)華盛頓分會及網(wǎng)絡(luò)學(xué)會的幾十位會員,冒著蒙蒙細(xì)雨來到了胡主席下榻賓館的附近歡迎胡主席的來訪。
中午十二點多,由中國旅美科協(xié)匹茲堡分會會長汪洋博士所帶領(lǐng)的40余人的匹茲堡分會代表團(tuán)分成兩輛汽車,經(jīng)過將近5個小時的路程來到了歡迎現(xiàn)場。下午一點多,從遠(yuǎn)道而來的由中國旅美科協(xié)紐約分會的方彤博士所帶領(lǐng)的89人的紐約分會代表團(tuán)乘坐兩輛大巴士,經(jīng)過4個多小時的奔波,來到了歡迎現(xiàn)場。與當(dāng)?shù)氐姆謺T一起,一百四十多名旅美科協(xié)代表團(tuán)的成員聚集美國首都華盛頓特區(qū)歡迎胡主席的來訪,場面感人!

人們的興奮隨著車隊的經(jīng)過而達(dá)到高潮。當(dāng)人們看到胡主席在車內(nèi)向歡迎人群招手時,人群中爆發(fā)出歡呼聲。

這里有一個來自紐約分會的故事,下面這位老人已經(jīng)七十多歲,不大能夠行走了,但是聽說旅美科協(xié)紐約分會要組織歡迎胡主席的活動,她堅持要參加。在Rider University做教授的女兒王敏民博士為了老人的安全專門準(zhǔn)備了輪椅。老人興奮了好幾天,她說就是只能看見胡主席的車也高興。她平時早上九點多鐘才能起床,但15日一早,為了趕去華盛頓的巴士,她不到七點就起床了。她看到了胡主席從車窗向外招手,心情非常激動。王博士的女兒剛剛從哈佛畢業(yè)到華盛頓特區(qū)工作,也專程前來參加我們的歡迎活動。
特別令人尊敬參加歡迎活動的老人
歡迎活動一直持續(xù)到了晚上6點多鐘,旅美科協(xié)的會員們才依依不舍地乘車離開華盛頓特區(qū)。
16日,旅美科協(xié)部分代表受邀與其他一百多位僑界、學(xué)界代表在中國駐美新使館參加歡送胡主席的活動。胡主席與每位代表逐一握手、逐一問候。胡主席對大家的歡迎表示感謝。

奧巴馬總統(tǒng):各位早上好。尊敬的胡錦濤主席,尊敬的各位中國代表團(tuán)成員,我謹(jǐn)代表米歇爾和我本人歡迎各位來到白宮。同時我代表美國人民,歡迎各位來到美國。
三十年前,也是在寒冷的一月,另一位美國總統(tǒng)卡特站在這里,歡迎中國領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人鄧小平的到來。那次會面是一個歷史性的突破,美中實現(xiàn)了兩國邦交正?;?。就在那一天,鄧小平談到了美中兩國之間相互合作的巨大可能。
此刻回顧1979年的那個冬日,我們已然明了。在那之前的30年,美中兩國隔閡疏遠(yuǎn)。而自那以來的30年,兩國不斷增進(jìn)交流與理解。此次胡錦濤主席訪美之行則是我們雙方為未來三十年奠定基礎(chǔ)的契機(jī)。
在美中合作的裨益遭到質(zhì)疑之際,這次會面也是一個很好的機(jī)會,可以展示一個簡單的道理。我們雙方都從彼此的成功中獲益良多。在一個相互聯(lián)系的世界,在經(jīng)濟(jì)全球化的時代,包括美中兩國在內(nèi)的世界各國會因彼此合作而更加繁榮、安全。
美國歡迎中國崛起,成為國際社會強(qiáng)大、繁榮、成功的一員。事實上,中國的成功為中美兩國人民帶來了巨大的經(jīng)濟(jì)利益,中美兩國在一系列問題上的合作有助于維護(hù)亞太地區(qū)乃至全球的和平穩(wěn)定。
我們也都知道:歷史表明,當(dāng)所有國家、所有人民的權(quán)利得以保障、義務(wù)得以履行,當(dāng)每個人的普遍權(quán)利得到維護(hù),社會將更加和諧,國家更加成功,世界更加公正。

很高興應(yīng)奧巴馬總統(tǒng)邀請,在一元復(fù)始的時節(jié)來到華盛頓,對美國進(jìn)行國事訪問。此時此刻,我謹(jǐn)代表13億中國人民,向美國人民致以誠摯的問候和良好的祝愿!
我這次訪問美國,是為增進(jìn)互信、加強(qiáng)友誼、深化合作、推動21世紀(jì)積極合作全面的中美關(guān)系繼續(xù)向前發(fā)展而來。
中美建交32年來,兩國關(guān)系已經(jīng)成長為具有戰(zhàn)略意義和全球影響的雙邊關(guān)系。奧巴馬總統(tǒng)就職以來,在雙方共同努力下,兩國各領(lǐng)域合作成果豐碩,中美關(guān)系得到新的發(fā)展,為兩國人民帶來了實實在在的利益,為世界和平與發(fā)展作出了重要貢獻(xiàn)。
