在微信上流傳一篇以一首英語詩歌的中文翻譯版本的多樣化來贊美中文的文章。英文原文為：

You say that you love rain, but you open your umbrella when it rains.You say that you love the sun, but you find a shadow spot when the sun shines.You say that you love the wind, but you close your windows when wind blows.This is why I am afraid, you say that you love me too.中文翻譯有下列版本

嚴(yán)格地講，雖然上述譯文都很美，但是沒有一個(gè)準(zhǔn)確翻譯了最后一句的英文原意（“這是在你說你愛我時(shí)我感到害怕的原因”或“你言行相反的這些做法是在你說你愛我時(shí)我感到害怕的原因”）。上述譯文中最接近原文的普通版“你說你也愛我，而我卻為此煩憂”中，“此”指的是“你說你也愛我”，還是你言行相反的這些做法？這一版本也未明確表達(dá)出“你言行相反的這些做法是在你說你愛我時(shí)我感到害怕的原因”。文藝版和七律壓軸版過度發(fā)揮，與原詩相差太大。詩經(jīng)版、離騷版和七言絕句版比文藝版與七律壓軸版接近原意，但對最后一句的翻譯不如普通版。

文學(xué)翻譯中多少偏離原文本意一點(diǎn)不是大問題，可能還會(huì)讓譯文比原文更美。對許多中文讀者來說，即使他們能讀英文，朱生豪譯的中文莎士比亞劇作可能比莎士比亞原文更美。對于詩歌，我們可以稱贊中文的朦朧美、含蓄美，意在已言未言之間。我們還可以欣賞中文的形式美、韻律美。當(dāng)我們表達(dá)需要嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)?shù)膬?nèi)容時(shí)，朦朧美、含蓄美就可能由優(yōu)點(diǎn)變?yōu)槿秉c(diǎn)。
