Good afternoon!My dear teachers.My name is Lu Xiaohong.The title of my thesis is On Different Groups' Subtitles Translation of the First Quarter of the “Vampire Diaries” from the Perspective of Skopos Theory.Now, I will introduce the significance of the study and the main content of my thesis.And hope teachers give me some suggestions.To begin with, I'd like to introduce the need of the study and why I choose this title.With the development of technology of mass media, the American TV series won its large market in China.Subtitle translation, as a special form of translation, is a kind of translation behavior which has its purpose.To meet the different needs of people of American TV series, subtitle translation should get the purpose that the Chinese audience could communicate with the original movie effectively.Because English has not yet popularized in China, people who watch American play are mainly in college students, college teachers and company white-collar.While to those audience who can not understand English, subtitle translation of American TV series should be more straightaway.There already exist many scholars' study results in subtitle translation field, but most of them tend to the film title translation or simple subtitle translation.However, the wide spread of internet has enhanced the fast development of the transmission of online movies, along with which the subtitles translation of these movies also becomes prosperous.Therefore my thesis makes a comparison between subtitles translated by on-line groups and official institutions.Through the comparison, the features of subtitle translation of internet movies can be concluded.And with the use of the skopos theory, through the introduction to characteristics of subtitles: instantaneity [in,st?nt?'ni:iti], popularity and subtitles space restrictions, as well as the listing of specific translations of dialogue in Vampire Diaries, I points out that American TV series subtitle translators should follow the skopos rule in skopos theory, and take the translation strategies such as using spoken language, buzzwords and simple strategy.Three differences was got from my thesis: firstly, the online translation groups' work is more acceptable to younger audiences.Their work is more fashionable than the official work.It contains Chinese unique characteristics.And it also contains lots of the translators' own style.Secondly, online translations always add some extra information, such as explained knowledge, kindly reminder, character comments and cultural background information.Thirdly, the official work emphasizes the mass media broadcasting effect.Next, I want to talk about thesis structure.The thesis consists of five chapters: chapter one introduces significance of the study and the structure of the whole text.The second chapter is the literature review, and introduces the theoretical basis of the whole text—the skopos theory.Chapter three mainly discusses the characteristics and physical limitations of film subtitles translation.Chapter four focuses on relevant strategies ofsubtitle translation with persuasive examples in Vampire Diaries.Chapter five is the conclusion which summarizes the whole thesis and provides limitations of this study and further suggestions about the field of film subtitle translation.Last but not the least, I will list the limitations of my thesis.Though giving a detailed analysis of subtitle translation, this thesis is still far from satisfactory in the following aspects.First, it only focuses on the E-C subtitle translation.With the rapid development of China's audiovisual industry, the C-E subtitle translation will also be flourishing, and studies in that field will also be of great value and importance.Next, the examples cited in this thesis are chosen by myself, which may not be comprehensive.And the analysis of the collected subtitles are based on the my own observation and understanding which might be incomplete and subjective.Thirdly, American TV series are only one type of subtitled audiovisual products, as for lots of other types such as documentary, TV programs may need different strategies of subtitle translation.Therefore, more researches concerning this field, especially studies on subtitle translation principles and strategies, would be welcome.That's all, thank you.

學(xué)生通過積極準(zhǔn)備論文答辯不僅可以增長知識(shí),溫故知新,而且可以拓寬和加深專業(yè)知識(shí),提高自己的能力。
論文答辯的形式是分組進(jìn)行,設(shè)多個(gè)考場,每個(gè)考場有兩名以上答辯老師。學(xué)生進(jìn)入考場獨(dú)立面對(duì)答辯老師,對(duì)老師的提問當(dāng)場作答。論文答辯以答為主,以辯為輔。

4.W hat is the uniqueness of your point of view?
對(duì)于這個(gè)問題,你可以談?wù)勀愕挠^點(diǎn)與他人不同之處及原因。這就要求你有相關(guān)知識(shí)。

2、課題研究內(nèi)容:研究目標(biāo)、計(jì)劃設(shè)計(jì)(流程圖)、運(yùn)行進(jìn)程、研究成果、創(chuàng)新性、利用價(jià)值、有關(guān)課題延續(xù)的新見解等。
3、PPT要圖文并茂,突出重點(diǎn),讓答辯老師清楚哪些是自己獨(dú)立完成的,頁數(shù)不要太多,15頁左右足夠,不要涌現(xiàn)太多文字,老師對(duì)文字和公式都不怎么感興致;
4、凡是貼在PPT上的圖和公式,要能夠自圓其說,沒有把握的堅(jiān)決不要往上面貼。
5、每頁下面記得標(biāo)頁碼,這樣比擬便利評(píng)委老師提問的時(shí)候review 關(guān)于模板:
1、不要用太富麗的企業(yè)商務(wù)模板,學(xué)術(shù)ppt最好低調(diào)簡潔一些;
2、推舉底色白底(黑字、紅字和藍(lán)字)、藍(lán)底(白字或黃字)、黑底(白字和黃字),這三種配色方法可保證幻燈質(zhì)量。我個(gè)人感到學(xué)術(shù)ppt還是白底好;
3、動(dòng)手才能強(qiáng)的大??梢宰约鹤龈胶驼n題主題的模板,實(shí)在很簡略,就是把愛好的圖在“幻燈片母版”模式下插入就行了。關(guān)于文字:
1、首先就是:不要太多!!圖優(yōu)于表,表優(yōu)于文字,答辯的時(shí)候照著ppt念的人最遜了;
2、字體大小最好選ppt默認(rèn)的,標(biāo)題用44號(hào)或40號(hào),正文用32號(hào),一般不要小于20號(hào)。標(biāo)題推舉黑體,正文推薦宋體,假如一定要用少見字體,記得答辯的時(shí)候一起copy到答辯電腦上,不然會(huì)顯示不出來;
3、正文內(nèi)的文字排列,一般一行字?jǐn)?shù)在20~25個(gè)左右,不要超過6~7行。更不要超過10行。行與行之間、段與段之間要有一定的間距,標(biāo)題之間的間隔(段間距)要大于行間距; 關(guān)于圖片:
1、圖片在ppt里的地位最好同一,全部ppt里的版式部署不要超過3種。圖片最好同一格局,一方面很精制,另一方面也顯示出做學(xué)問的嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)態(tài)度。圖片的外周,有時(shí)候加上暗影或外框,會(huì)有意想不到的效果;
2、關(guān)于格局,tif格式主要用于印刷,它的高質(zhì)量在ppt上體現(xiàn)不出來,照片選用jpg就可以了,示意圖我推舉bmp格式,直接在windows畫筆里依照須要的大小畫,不要縮放,出來的都是矢量效果,比擬pro,相干的箭頭元素可以直接從word里copy過來;
3、流程圖,用viso畫就可以了,這個(gè)地球人都知道;
4、ppt里呈現(xiàn)圖片的動(dòng)畫方法最好簡練到2種以下,還是那句話,低調(diào)樸實(shí)為主;
5、動(dòng)手才能容許的話,學(xué)習(xí)一下photoshop里的基礎(chǔ)操作,一些照片類的圖片,在ps里做一下曲線和對(duì)照度的基礎(chǔ)調(diào)劑,質(zhì)量會(huì)好很多。windos畫筆+ps,根本可以搞定一切學(xué)術(shù)圖片。
關(guān)于提問環(huán)節(jié):
評(píng)委老師一般提問重要從以下幾個(gè)方面:
1.他本人的研究方向及其善于的范疇;
2.可能來自課題的問題:是確切切合本研討涉及到的學(xué)術(shù)問題(包含選題意義、主要觀點(diǎn)及概念、課題新意、課題細(xì)節(jié)、課題單薄環(huán)節(jié)、建議可行性以及對(duì)自己所做工作的提問);
3.來自論文的問題:論文書寫的規(guī)范性,數(shù)據(jù)起源,對(duì)論文提到的主要參考文獻(xiàn)以及有爭議的某些察看尺度等;
4.來自幻燈的問題:某些圖片或圖表,請(qǐng)求進(jìn)一步說明;
5.不大輕易估量到的問題:和課題完整不相關(guān)的問題。似乎相關(guān),但是答辯者基本未做過,也不是課題涉及的問題。答辯者沒有做的,但是評(píng)委想到了的東西,答辯者進(jìn)一步盤算怎么做。
依據(jù)本人觀摩師兄師姐答辯的經(jīng)驗(yàn),提問環(huán)節(jié)很輕易由于緊張被老師誤導(dǎo),假如老師指出你xx處所做錯(cuò)了,先沉著想一下,別立馬就附和說啊我錯(cuò)了啊我沒有斟酌到。一般來說答辯老師提的問題,很少有你做課題這幾年之中都沒斟酌到的。想好了再答復(fù),不要頂撞老師,實(shí)在不會(huì)的問題,千萬不要“蒙”,態(tài)度必定要謙遜,哪怕直接說“自己沒有斟酌到這點(diǎn),請(qǐng)老師指正”。

英語專業(yè)畢業(yè)論文答辯
英語本科的論文答辯主要分為兩部分:自我陳述和回答答辯老師問題,下面對(duì)這兩部分進(jìn)行詳細(xì)講解。
一、自述(用英語完成):
1、先問好,再開始自述,自述時(shí)間為5-10分鐘,要簡明扼要,必須將自述內(nèi)容提綱制作成Powerpoint文件。
2、主要陳述內(nèi)容(即Powerpoint文件主要內(nèi)容):(1)自己選擇這個(gè)題目的原因;
(2)設(shè)計(jì)和實(shí)施的簡單過程(如,商務(wù)方向:采用什么方法來搜集信息、資料等);
(3)自己論文的主要內(nèi)容(不要念論文,最好用4、5句話簡單介紹論文內(nèi)容,如,商務(wù)方向:做了哪些調(diào)查,得出什么結(jié)論,計(jì)劃如何實(shí)施項(xiàng)目);
(4)仍然存在的問題(如,商務(wù):在實(shí)施項(xiàng)目中可能會(huì)遇到的風(fēng)險(xiǎn)以及如何解決);
3、最好準(zhǔn)備相關(guān)文字并熟記(答辯時(shí)要脫稿陳述,但是
可以看PPT文件)。
4、語言最好簡單清楚,不要直接用論文中內(nèi)容,應(yīng)該用解釋性的句式,如:When I was designing the lessons, I found that….二、回答老師問題(老師用英語提問,學(xué)生用英語回答):
1、大約有6-8個(gè)問題,時(shí)間將持續(xù)10-15分鐘。
2、首先要聽清楚問題,如果沒有聽清,可以要求老師重復(fù)問題(可以說pardon之類的話)。
3、回答時(shí)首先要態(tài)度好,要切題,而且不要保持沉默,不會(huì)時(shí)可以表示抱歉。

三、Powerpoint文件內(nèi)容(英文):
1、不要太多內(nèi)容,最好在5-10個(gè)幻燈片。
2、字號(hào)最好是:封面標(biāo)題44-50;各頁標(biāo)題40-44,正文24-32。
3、內(nèi)容最好是提綱式的,不要用長句,也最好不用單詞,可以用簡單句子或短語。
4、具體內(nèi)容與上面提出的自述內(nèi)容一致,這樣有利于自述。
5、格式一般是:封面(題目和姓名)-目錄-各方面內(nèi)容-結(jié)束頁(可以表示感謝)。
