      讀完小說(shuō)的時(shí)候已是晚飯過(guò)后兩個(gè)鐘頭,也許是結(jié)局令我驚詫,我有好一會(huì)兒沒(méi)緩過(guò)勁來(lái)。想起要寫讀后感,噢天,我此刻一點(diǎn)兒思路沒(méi)有,旋轉(zhuǎn)在我腦海里的就是曼陀麗莊園、邁克西姆·德溫特、德溫特夫人、呂蓓卡、弗蘭克、丹弗斯太太??這些普通不普通的外國(guó)人名以及跌宕起伏的小說(shuō)通常給人留下的余味。

      在曼陀麗莊園里,我第一次聽(tīng)聞了形形色色的花草:“紫陽(yáng),它的花穗曾經(jīng)頗負(fù)盛名,但現(xiàn)在因?yàn)闊o(wú)人修剪照料,也成了野生植物。它的枝干高得出奇,卻無(wú)法開(kāi)出一朵花來(lái),又黑又丑,如同左近那些無(wú)名的草木一樣”;“石砌的葡萄園在陽(yáng)光下光芒閃閃,紫茉莉花染著塵埃,泛出白色”;“石南花那樣紅,像鮮血一般,著實(shí)把我嚇了一跳。石南成團(tuán)成簇,茂盛得讓人驚疑不止,看不見(jiàn)葉子,也看不見(jiàn)枝干,只有一片象征殺戮的血紅色??”;“此外,還有泥土的苦澀味,多年苔鮮的清香,羊齒梗和扭曲入地的樹(shù)根的氣息”??不得不驚嘆作者扎實(shí)的寫作功底,可以把花草描寫得令我這個(gè)莫名其妙反感寫景散文的讀者不厭其煩地喜歡。突然想到錢鐘書的《圍城》,比喻什么的確實(shí)用得好甚至是絕妙,可未免太多了點(diǎn),不免有賣弄的嫌疑,于是到底,我沒(méi)能將錢老的名作讀下去。那么達(dá)芙妮·杜穆里埃倒是抓獲了我的眼我的心。

      曼陀麗莊園如果真實(shí)存在的話,我敢保證它是英國(guó)乃至全球少有的最令人向往的居住地之一。你能想象你家周圍既有玫瑰園每夜芬芳,又有“幸福谷”蜂蝶群群,不遠(yuǎn)處是樹(shù)林蔭郁,房后又是波濤陣陣嗎?若非有時(shí)濃霧讓人心神不寧,還有什么好挑剔的嗎?大膽地幻想一下吧,在那樣一個(gè)地方,吃過(guò)熏肉和咖啡早餐就去海灣走走,中午可以在栗子樹(shù)下用茶,吃點(diǎn)脆的薄餅或蛋奶酥,傍晚時(shí)分就喚上小狗杰斯珀到玫瑰園修修剪剪,最妙的當(dāng)數(shù)晚飯過(guò)后了,洗個(gè)澡然后在藏書室的壁爐旁看隨便哪本喜歡的書或當(dāng)天的報(bào)紙,累了就到窗邊遠(yuǎn)眺,夜幕下的海也不會(huì)令你失望,依稀的風(fēng)浪聲絕對(duì)勝過(guò)時(shí)下的流行曲。這樣的生活,不是不愜意而難以割舍的吧。當(dāng)然,如果你是女主人,又恰好喜歡高朋滿座,那么每年舉辦一次化裝舞會(huì),定會(huì)令周圍鄰居感激而懷念。在曼陀麗莊園里,吟游詩(shī)人畫廊就足夠你欣賞或臨摩,那些幾百年前的作品,到今日仍光彩照人。

      不得不提通向莊園的那條長(zhǎng)長(zhǎng)的車道,兩旁是密集的樹(shù)木,樹(shù)枝在空中交接,仿佛這里是一通隧道。夏天的時(shí)候,樹(shù)杈上或別的什么地方會(huì)有鳥巢吧,多少鳥兒在此度過(guò)了難忘歲月,難道不令人感覺(jué)自豪?秋天葉落之時(shí),來(lái)這里走一走,踩在層層疊疊的樹(shù)葉上,難道不會(huì)忍不住歡喜雀躍嗎?也許冬天是冷了些,也無(wú)法滑雪,但是堆雪人還是可以玩得盡興吧,盡管我更愿意在壁爐邊看書,手旁有杯白蘭地,如果我會(huì)喝酒的話。

      是的,一定有人想知道這里頭講了一個(gè)什么樣的故事,毫無(wú)疑問(wèn),有人對(duì)此發(fā)生了興趣。本書原名叫《呂蓓卡》,而呂蓓卡是原曼陀麗莊園的女主人,也是創(chuàng)造者,是她讓曼陀麗莊園變得遠(yuǎn)近馳名。在一般人看來(lái),呂蓓卡是位完美女性,她健康活潑,善良慷慨,熱情勇敢,不僅把莊園打理得井井有條,還在空閑時(shí)駕船出海,每年還參加郡里舉辦的船艇競(jìng)賽。她看起來(lái)是多么精力充沛,膽識(shí)過(guò)人,卻死于一次海上意外,令德溫特難受到要離家出走,而在法國(guó)南部的蒙特卡洛遇見(jiàn)并娶了“我”,一個(gè)類似個(gè)人助理的角色。隨后,小說(shuō)開(kāi)始使出渾身解數(shù),令人感覺(jué)撲朔迷離,不管是針對(duì)呂蓓卡還是處處使“我”難堪的丹弗斯太太,或是邁克西姆.德溫特先生,迷團(tuán)一個(gè)接一個(gè),轉(zhuǎn)機(jī)卻也適時(shí)出現(xiàn)。這就是我為什么會(huì)讀得津津有味的最大原因了。

      作為一個(gè)中年喪妻的成功人士,如何會(huì)在相識(shí)個(gè)把月后就娶了“我”,一個(gè)每年僅僅收入九十英鎊的私人助理,以及才二十出頭的“我”,如何會(huì)不顧尊卑地愛(ài)上那個(gè)擁有古宅子的可作自己父親的男人,這些都令我感覺(jué)妙不可言,可惜作者并未對(duì)此多加著墨。

      起初,我并不理解小說(shuō)為何更名為“蝴蝶夢(mèng)”,直至看到最后一段我明白了:

      “只有在冬天才能看到北極光,是嗎?”我說(shuō),“夏天看不到吧?”

      “那不是北極光,”他說(shuō),“那是曼陀麗?!?/p>

      我瞥了他一眼,他的臉,他的眼睛,我看得清清楚楚。

      “邁克西姆,”我說(shuō),“邁克西姆,發(fā)生了什么事?”

      他把車開(kāi)得更快,全速疾駛。汽車翻上前面的那座山頭,我們看見(jiàn)蘭因就在我們腳下的一片凹地里躺著。我們的左方是一條銀帶似的大河,河面逐漸開(kāi)闊,伸展著通向六英里外克里斯處的河口。我們面前,通往曼陀麗的大道向前延伸。我們頭頂是一片漆黑的夜空,沒(méi)有月光。但地平線那兒的天空卻截然不同,那兒是一片血一樣的猩紅,咸澀的海風(fēng)混雜著火炭灰,一陣一陣地向我們迎面吹來(lái)。

      作者達(dá)芙妮·杜穆里埃受十九世級(jí)以神秘、恐怖等為主要特點(diǎn)的哥特派小說(shuō)影響較深,所以給我的們帶來(lái)了如此曲折離奇的小說(shuō)經(jīng)典。值得學(xué)習(xí)的是,“作者塑造的‘呂蓓卡’形象除在倒敘段落中提到外,從未在書中出現(xiàn),但卻時(shí)時(shí)處處音容宛在,而故事敘述者‘我’,雖是個(gè)喜怒哀樂(lè)俱全的大活人,實(shí)際上卻處處起著烘托呂蓓卡的作用,這是種以‘實(shí)有’陪襯‘虛無(wú)’的手法?!?/p>

      總之,《蝴蝶夢(mèng)》絕對(duì)是值得一看的小說(shuō),相對(duì)它來(lái)說(shuō),《挪威的森林》就不那么吸引人了。

      作業(yè)寫完了,我閑著無(wú)聊,就翻開(kāi)了了《蝴蝶夢(mèng)》這本書,它是我暑假時(shí)買的,到現(xiàn)在還一頁(yè)都沒(méi)動(dòng)。剛翻開(kāi)蝴蝶夢(mèng),看到第一句話,就仿佛又看到英國(guó)十九世紀(jì)古老的家族莊園,美麗又詭異的曼陀麗,那些人物瞬間鮮活起來(lái)。我仿佛就是書中的一角,深深的融入到了書中。

      這本書是一部懸疑小說(shuō)。

      講的是“我”在一次與英國(guó)紳士德溫特的邂逅中,意外而有迅速的成為了曼陀麗這個(gè)古老莊嚴(yán)而又美麗的新任女主人,但“我'在前任女主人生前留下的女仆丹費(fèi)斯太太與情夫表哥的陰影下過(guò)的十分抑郁和恐懼,幾乎所有人都在暗示“我”,呂锫卡優(yōu)雅、美麗、風(fēng)度怡人、舉世無(wú)雙?!拔摇笨傆X(jué)得自己贏不了德溫特的愛(ài)。就在“我”覺(jué)得自己已經(jīng)完全被呂锫卡擊敗的時(shí)候,真相卻突然暴露:原來(lái)呂锫卡不是死于意外,她和德溫特乃情夫之間都沒(méi)有絲毫愛(ài)情。她是一個(gè)心態(tài)陰暗,放浪形骸的女人。更可怕的真相是,原來(lái)呂锫卡是被德溫特殺死的????

      不知不覺(jué)中,我又把自己當(dāng)成了呂锫卡,探索她的心理。想來(lái)也很好笑,正如《蝴蝶夢(mèng)》中所說(shuō):“一個(gè)人要是太敏感,太不世故,聽(tīng)著看著一些其實(shí)很平常的言詞,就會(huì)從中辨出許多影射和挖苦的意思來(lái)”。

      到最后的最后,到底是誰(shuí)勝利了呢,是呂貝卡一直惡魔一樣的微笑著么,曼德琳最終還是毀滅了?!拔摇焙瓦~克西姆恐怕也不是勝利者????
