Good morning, dear teachers,Thank you for evaluating my thesis today.The title of my thesis is A study on Readability, Academic Vocabulary and Cultural Content in the second edition of CCEIR.I would like to present my thesis by answering three questions.Firstly, I want to assess this set of textbook which accompanies me in the four-year English learning.Secondly, textbooks are traditionally investigated from some broad aspects such as methodology, layout, language skills, etc., which are not easy to measure.The three research aspects can be readily evaluated and can present the findings in a more comprehensible way.This findings provide references for the textbook compilation.Readability helps optimize difficulty distribution of texts.The words in AWL facilitate vocabulary selection.The cultural content analysis in this study calls for the balanced input of different categories of culture into the textbook.My thesis consists of five parts..Two computational tools Microsoft Word and Range are used to assess readability and the coverage of academic vocabulary;Lee’s theory is taken as the criteria framework for cultural content analysis.the three aspects quantitatively and qualitatively based on the data.I’ve checked whether the texts have an optimal distribution in difficulty and academic vocabulary.The cultural content is evaluated from culture-general and culture-specific aspect of culture learning.The analysis of the latter one is subdivided into the acquisition of Big “C” and small “c” culture.findings: the texts are generally arranged from easy to difficult;the academic words increase with grade but the coverage is low;the information of culture-specific learning is addressed much more than that of culture-general one.Besides, the research limitations and suggestions for further studies are discussed.During the research, my supervisor Professor Gu has given me many valuable suggestions.She taught me how to make the organization logical, the contents rich and relevant, the language appropriate and the format standardized.When reading the final draft, I still find some mistakes after my previous modifications.Your comments and corrections are needed.Now please raise your questions!Thank you!

我叫王妙可,來(lái)自09級(jí)會(huì)電三班班,學(xué)號(hào)0902090312,我論文的題目是《人力資源會(huì)計(jì)相關(guān)問(wèn)題分析》。本篇論文是在陳黎老師的指導(dǎo)下完成的。在這期間,陳黎老師對(duì)我的論文進(jìn)行了詳細(xì)的修改和指正,并給予我許多寶貴的建議。在此,我非常感謝她一直以來(lái)的精心指導(dǎo),同時(shí)也對(duì)各位評(píng)審能在百忙之中抽出寶貴的時(shí)間,參與論文的審閱和答辯表示不勝感激。下面我就把論文的基本思路向各位答辯老師作如下簡(jiǎn)要陳述:
一、選題緣由
選擇本課題作為我論文的寫(xiě)作題材的原因如下:世界高新技術(shù)革命的浪潮,已經(jīng)把世界經(jīng)濟(jì)的競(jìng)爭(zhēng)從物質(zhì)資源競(jìng)爭(zhēng)推向人力資源的競(jìng)爭(zhēng),對(duì)人力資源的開(kāi)發(fā)、利用和管理將是人類(lèi)社會(huì)經(jīng)濟(jì)發(fā)展的關(guān)鍵制約因素。在這個(gè)過(guò)程中需要大量的人力資源信息,必然離不開(kāi)人力資源會(huì)計(jì)。
二、資料收集準(zhǔn)備工作
選定題目后,為了完成論文,我進(jìn)行了資料收集,擬定提綱,論文初稿、修改、定稿等一系列程序。在畢業(yè)論文的準(zhǔn)備和寫(xiě)作過(guò)程中,我閱讀了大量的人力資源會(huì)計(jì)方面的相關(guān)書(shū)籍和學(xué)術(shù)期刊論文,這得益于我們學(xué)校圖書(shū)館豐富的參考書(shū)籍和中國(guó)學(xué)術(shù)期刊網(wǎng)中的專(zhuān)業(yè)論文。
三、論文的結(jié)構(gòu)和內(nèi)容

Good morning, all appraiser committee members.I am **** and my supervisor is ***.With her constant encouragement and guidance, I have finished my paper.Now, it is the show time.I will present my efforts to you and welcome any correction.The title of my paper is On Transformation of Parts of Speech in Translation.I choose this as my topic due to the following reasons.Different languages have different standards to distinguish parts of speech.Each language has its own special structure.And there are no equivalent parts of speech between different languages.In order to make the target version more idiomatic and standard, the transformation of parts of speech is always used by translators.So the transformation of parts of speech is playing a more important role in English to Chinese based on different characteristics of English and Chinese.For the above facts, I select the subject of“On Transformation of parts of speech”as the title of my paper.I hope by studying this topic we can know the importance of the transformation of parts of speech in English to Chinese translation.Through transformation, we can get the better version and improve the translation skills.The way of thinking and expressing is quite different between Chinese and English.English is a kind of static languages which tends to use more nouns.While Chinese is a dynamic one in which verbs are often used.So when we make translation in English to Chinese, we should know this point and shift the parts of speech.Next, it is an outline of my paper.In the main part of this paper, I divide it into five parts.Part one presents an introduction to the basic concepts of parts of speech and transformation.Part two discusses the definition of translation and emphasizes the importance of transformation of parts of speech in the course of translation.Part three gives four basic ways of transformation of parts of speech through illustrative examples.There are transformed English words into Chinese verbs, nouns, adjectives and adverbs.Part four presents some problems about transformation and gives some advise to solve the problems.Part five draws some conclusions that transformation between parts of speech is necessary for us to achieve good translation.It is demonstrated that we can have a good master of transformation and improve the translation.In addition, we must continuously study and explore in all kinds of translation practices.OK!That is all.Thank you!Please ask questions.

首先,我想談?wù)勥@個(gè)畢業(yè)論文設(shè)計(jì)的目的及意義。
湯亭亭的研究在中國(guó)蓬勃發(fā)展。三部力作《女勇士》、《中國(guó)佬》、《孫行者》的中文譯本已經(jīng)于上世紀(jì)90年代初出版。如今在中國(guó)大學(xué)英文系開(kāi)設(shè)的美國(guó)文學(xué)課程都少不了亞裔或華裔美國(guó)文學(xué),而在華裔美國(guó)文學(xué)研究中,無(wú)論是碩士論文還是博士論文,以湯亭亭及其著作研究為題者幾乎占半數(shù)??偟膩?lái)說(shuō),我國(guó)華裔美國(guó)文學(xué)研究對(duì)湯亭亭作品的關(guān)注焦點(diǎn)主要集中在母女主題、身份認(rèn)同、文化差異、創(chuàng)作手法中對(duì)傳統(tǒng)神話和文學(xué)典故的借鑒和重寫(xiě)等方面,對(duì)其作品中的多重主題、反復(fù)出現(xiàn)的隱喻、性別界限的突破以及文化誤讀諸多方面也都有所涉及。然而,大多文學(xué)研究者偏重于作品顯示出的社會(huì)與文化內(nèi)涵,漠視其獨(dú)特的文本創(chuàng)作,一句籠統(tǒng)的“后現(xiàn)代書(shū)寫(xiě)”或“跨體裁寫(xiě)作”幾乎成了對(duì)此作品的蓋棺定論。拼貼、戲仿、互文幾乎成了其創(chuàng)作特征的全部?;趯?duì)這種研究現(xiàn)狀的不滿足,筆者在本論文中運(yùn)用敘事學(xué)
對(duì)湯亭亭的《女勇士》進(jìn)行深入而細(xì)致的文本細(xì)讀,從而填補(bǔ)犖犖大端的湯亭亭研究不應(yīng)當(dāng)遺留的空白。
敘事學(xué)是研究文本的一個(gè)有力的武器,自誕生之初,就運(yùn)用于多個(gè)文本的分析,并且研究成果已經(jīng)得到了社會(huì)和學(xué)術(shù)界的普遍認(rèn)可。《女勇士》這一作品經(jīng)歷了三十多年的時(shí)光沖刷,已經(jīng)得到了美國(guó)文學(xué)界的認(rèn)可,進(jìn)入了美國(guó)文學(xué)史的大雅之堂。它輾轉(zhuǎn)來(lái)到中國(guó)源于1997年張子清教授的譯介,自那之后為中國(guó)學(xué)者所了解。由于中美文化背景的差異,誤讀自所難免。因此需要更多的學(xué)術(shù)研究和理論闡釋?zhuān)怪転榇蟊娝邮?、認(rèn)可,從而對(duì)公眾產(chǎn)生積極影響?!杜率俊肥钦鎸?shí)與虛構(gòu)雜糅的作品。在美國(guó)問(wèn)世之初,人們把它當(dāng)作了解中國(guó)歷史的入門(mén)書(shū)來(lái)讀,這是一種誤讀。隨著改革開(kāi)放,國(guó)門(mén)的打開(kāi)使得美國(guó)人了解了真實(shí)的中國(guó)。他們逐漸意識(shí)到《女勇士》中的虛構(gòu)成分占有很大的比重,因而開(kāi)始把它當(dāng)作一本小說(shuō)來(lái)讀。敘事學(xué)研究的基點(diǎn)就是文本的虛構(gòu)性,運(yùn)用這一方法來(lái)研究一步虛構(gòu)成分濃厚的作品是可行的。
其次,我想談?wù)勥@篇論文的結(jié)構(gòu)和主要內(nèi)容。本論文自果實(shí)的生長(zhǎng)歷程展開(kāi)論辯和論述,通過(guò)對(duì)《女勇士》一文的文本分析,探析“女勇士”的思想內(nèi)涵及其成長(zhǎng)歷程。通過(guò)其成長(zhǎng)歷程的敘述,彰顯其思想蘊(yùn)含?!杜率俊返臄⑹稣咄ㄟ^(guò)回憶的筆觸,描述了“無(wú)名姑姑”、“月蘭姨媽”、“鄉(xiāng)村醫(yī)生——媽媽”、“我”的生平事跡,尤其是決定女性人生走向的重大事件。把握這些人物及事件對(duì)敘述者性格生成的影響,構(gòu)成本文的主要旨向。在對(duì)這些
事件由迷惘、驚愕到領(lǐng)悟的認(rèn)知過(guò)程,構(gòu)成了敘述者成長(zhǎng)的思想源泉。這是一種由萌芽、結(jié)苞及青澀果實(shí)構(gòu)成的螺旋式曲折上升的過(guò)程。
本論文論述的切入點(diǎn)主要有人物分析、敘述聲音和敘述結(jié)構(gòu)。人物是作品活動(dòng)的主體,敘述聲音是人物性格彰顯的媒介,敘述結(jié)構(gòu)是人物活動(dòng)的軌跡。三者合而為一,組成了三位一體的穩(wěn)定格局和完美體系。《女勇士》是一部家族女性成長(zhǎng)小說(shuō),也是一部女性主義運(yùn)動(dòng)風(fēng)尖浪口的鼎力之作,更是中美特殊歷史時(shí)期掀開(kāi)幕簾的初試之作。這部作品豐厚的歷史文化內(nèi)涵為華裔美國(guó)研究者津津樂(lè)道。走向華裔美國(guó)文學(xué)的殿堂,《女勇士》是一部具有獨(dú)特的歷史意義與時(shí)代價(jià)值的作品。
最后,我想談?wù)勥@篇論文存在的不足。本文人物分析略顯單薄,敘述結(jié)構(gòu)呈現(xiàn)零散的局面,敘述聲音則零亂而破碎。此文不足之處良多,希望各位予以批評(píng)指正。
