Time is of utmost importance to most Americans. It is something to be on, kept, filled, saved, used, spent, wasted, lost, gained, planned, given, even killed. Americans are more concerned with getting things accomplished on time than they are with developing interpersonal relations. Their lives seem controlled by the little machines they wear on their wrists, cutting their discussions off abruptly to make their next appointment on time. This philosophy has enabled Americans to be extremely productive, and productivity Is highly valued In their country.

Equality is so cherished in the U.S. that it is seen as having a religious basis. Americans believe that all people are created equal and that all should have an equal opportunity to succeed. This concept of equality is strange to seven-eighths of the world which views status and authority as desirable, even if they happen to be near the bottom of the social order. Since Americans like to treat foreigners “Just like anybody else”, newcomers to the U.S. should realize that no insult or personal indignity is intended if they are treated in a lethan-deferential manner by waiters in restaurants, clerks in stores and hotels, taxi drivers, and other service personnel.

本學(xué)期，我擔(dān)任八年級1班的英語教學(xué)工作，根據(jù)本學(xué)期教學(xué)工作計(jì)劃安排及實(shí)際，目前教學(xué)工作已結(jié)束，現(xiàn)就本學(xué)期教學(xué)工作總結(jié)如下：

一、學(xué)生的基本狀況：

學(xué)習(xí)態(tài)度較認(rèn)真，對英語較感興趣，基礎(chǔ)也較扎實(shí)；但也有少部分學(xué)生基礎(chǔ)較弱，對英語學(xué)習(xí)興趣不濃，學(xué)習(xí)態(tài)度很被動。

二、采取的措施：

1、認(rèn)真學(xué)習(xí)體現(xiàn)以素質(zhì)教育為目標(biāo)的新課程理念及學(xué)校工作計(jì)劃，認(rèn)真研究教材，制定了本學(xué)期教學(xué)工作計(jì)劃，加強(qiáng)落實(shí)、反饋、總結(jié)計(jì)劃的執(zhí)行情況。

2、教學(xué)過程中，注意抓常規(guī)教學(xué)，以學(xué)生為主體，面向全體學(xué)生組織教學(xué)，注意培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的聽說讀寫的能力，充分利用早讀時間，要求學(xué)生大聲朗讀課文。

3、抓詞匯和句型學(xué)習(xí)，經(jīng)常進(jìn)行聽寫訓(xùn)練，提高學(xué)生對記憶單詞和句型的能力；另外從開學(xué)初就開始初狠抓英語課文背誦，并從李陽老師報(bào)告會后，利用李陽老師的教學(xué)理念“用零碎時間攻克英語”制定了利用課前讀英語、背英語的計(jì)劃并狠抓落實(shí)。

4、課堂內(nèi)外多聽多說英語。老師上課時盡量用英語講課，這樣能使學(xué)生更多地接觸英語。每堂課要用一定的時間讓學(xué)生用所學(xué)過的日常用語和課堂用語進(jìn)行不同的形式進(jìn)行對話。也可以結(jié)合實(shí)物、圖片等用英語進(jìn)行簡單的描術(shù)，培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的語感。

5、抓小測驗(yàn)、學(xué)案過關(guān)，并注重階段性復(fù)習(xí)。

三、教學(xué)方面的經(jīng)驗(yàn)、存在問題及今后的做法：（1）教的方面:

積極使用“任務(wù)型”課堂教學(xué)模式，深入了解和分析學(xué)生情況，有針對地教學(xué)，由于對每單元的單詞和詞組進(jìn)行了多次強(qiáng)化訓(xùn)練，所以詞匯的得分率比以前高；因加強(qiáng)了書面表達(dá)的英語背誦，所以英語作文得分率有了長足的提高。另外因狠抓落實(shí)“學(xué)習(xí)法”，使學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)習(xí)慣得到進(jìn)一步改善。雖然我們也進(jìn)行了英語閱讀訓(xùn)練，但學(xué)生閱讀能力的提高不大。單選、完成句子的得分率還過得去，但綜合知識未來得及操練其他項(xiàng)目得分率就較低。今后，應(yīng)該加強(qiáng)完型填空、閱讀理解和綜合填空的訓(xùn)練。

（2）學(xué)的方面

一要培養(yǎng)學(xué)生對英語學(xué)習(xí)有興趣，二要培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的責(zé)任心從小事從感恩開始，率先使用 “積分制”并且要用班規(guī)來落實(shí)，堅(jiān)持常年不斷地、自覺得、隨時隨地接觸英語、運(yùn)用英語知識，英語成績就會不斷提高。經(jīng)過一學(xué)期努力，大部分學(xué)生都覺得英語有進(jìn)步，以前不要說是背，讀都讀不順，而現(xiàn)在還能背些英語文章了。

是為了應(yīng)付考試，臨時抱佛腳地補(bǔ)習(xí)，即使可以應(yīng)付一時，但掌握的知識都是不牢固的。新舊知識就會顧此失彼。

第一，確立與新課程相適應(yīng)的教育觀念。

學(xué)生是學(xué)習(xí)的主體，老師不能代替學(xué)生讀書，代替學(xué)生感知，代替學(xué)生觀察、分析、思考，代替學(xué)生明白任何一個道理和掌握任何一條規(guī)律。老師只能讓學(xué)生自己讀書，自己感受事物，自己觀察、分析、思考，從而明白任何一個道理和掌握任何一條規(guī)律。于是我改變“一言堂”，把課堂還給學(xué)生，形成師生交往、積極互動、共同發(fā)展的教學(xué)過程。

第二，使學(xué)生明白學(xué)習(xí)目的。

要學(xué)好英語，首先要使學(xué)生認(rèn)識到學(xué)這一語言的目的和意義。眾所周知，人類社會已經(jīng)進(jìn)入了21世紀(jì)，新的世界將是個充滿競爭和多變的世紀(jì)，中國要在跨世紀(jì)的競爭中取得主動，中華民族要騰飛，要最終取決于優(yōu)秀科技人才的涌現(xiàn)。如果我們不懂英語，怎么去了解世界？就拿我們海南來說，現(xiàn)在海南成為了國際旅游島，每年都有許多外國游客來旅游。如果我們不會說英語，也聽不懂他們說什么，就無法與他們交流，溝通，更談不上有商業(yè)交易了。只有學(xué)生自覺地把自己的理想與祖國的前途和命運(yùn)聯(lián)系起來，才會對英語學(xué)習(xí)真正感興趣，這種興趣也有可能轉(zhuǎn)為學(xué)習(xí)英語的動力。因此我結(jié)合本地區(qū)學(xué)生的實(shí)際情況，通讀和節(jié)選教材，圍繞著最簡單、最基本、最常用的英語詞匯、句型、交際會話等進(jìn)行教學(xué)，使學(xué)生對英語產(chǎn)生興趣，形成學(xué)習(xí)動機(jī)。

第三，努力建立融洽的師生關(guān)系。

相對來說，初中生比小學(xué)生獨(dú)立性強(qiáng)，自尊心也逐漸增強(qiáng)，渴望得到尊重。師生之間只有互相尊重，互相信任，才能建立起友好關(guān)系，從而促進(jìn)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的興趣。所以我必須樹立正確的學(xué)生觀，正確認(rèn)識學(xué)生的主體地位。我用自己滿腔的愛去關(guān)心、尊重學(xué)生，耐心細(xì)致地指導(dǎo)學(xué)生，溝通和學(xué)生的思想感情，使自己成為學(xué)生歡迎和愛戴的人。上課時我是學(xué)生的老師，循循善誘和激發(fā)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的積極性，大膽求異創(chuàng)新；課后我卻成為他們的大姐和好朋友，無話不談，亮起心靈之光；生活上，我是他們的父母，關(guān)懷備至。

第四，嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)治學(xué)，保持良好的教態(tài)。教師的教風(fēng)直接影響學(xué)生的學(xué)風(fēng)。駕駛的一言一行，無時無刻不在影響著學(xué)生。所以我提高自己的思想認(rèn)識和藹覺悟程度水平，做到愛崗敬業(yè)，學(xué)而不厭，誨人不倦，為人師表，治學(xué)嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)，還要保持良好的教態(tài)。老師的教學(xué)語言和教態(tài)對學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)有直接的影響。老師的教態(tài)好，學(xué)生就喜歡，他們聽課的興趣就高，接受知識也快。反之，學(xué)生就不喜歡，甚至討厭。特別是正處于青春期的初中生，看問題開始有可獨(dú)立的見解，對他們更要注意教態(tài)和教學(xué)語言的使用。如我介紹新句型時，我利用語言的輕重，語調(diào)的高低，和一定的動作表情，盡量引起學(xué)生的注意和興趣。當(dāng)學(xué)生回答問題時，我的表情變得自然親切，使促使感到老師對他們的信任，這樣學(xué)生就增添了勇氣，就能大膽地回答問題。
